Yelp
First time here. We figured we were here for a week. Let's try another casino hotel. Pictures on Yelp and the YouTube videos made it look good. Smooth check-in. The valet was a nice guy. Don't be cheap, people tip the Valet. One thing I wish the receptionist would have done is to see if this was our first visit. First impressions are everything, but she didn't. I'm not looking for a free upgrade, but if we could have a room with a better view or something like that, it would have been great. In the end it doesn't cost you anything. Or I wish she would have asked if we would like to upgrade. We could have asked to, but as cold as it was and us having our teenage daughter, we were just trying to get into the room.. once we get in, you can tell it's very modern and may have been recently renovated room. One thing I normally do before unpacking I inspect the room, but of course, not this night. First trip to the restroom I noticed many things. The cleanliness of the bathroom was horribly done. I could see pee spots on the front of the toilet bowl, The base of the toilet was yellow, the grout was black, and then I realized it was actually white . Months of dust on the top of the baseboard (tile). I spent 45 min cleaning the restroom just so I didn't inconvenience my wife and kid. Didn't want to go back downstairs with all our luggage. The other issue we noticed for some reason many people working at the hotel were more worried about talking about their day than acknowledging a customer. Some of the employees there seemed inconvenienced when asking a question. First night, Valet was great. The first night of gambling started badly. The area where you get your players' card was not maned. The person was on break. Went to the machine to print one out of all out of service. I've never been to a casino where you don't have anyone to make a players card. Somehow, we got directed to a black jack table, and he as well could not assist. He referred us to the high limit area, and Britney took care of us. Turned a bad start to our gaming into a good one for that Tuesday night. Coming from Texas to experience inconvenience and crazy attitudes was not good. We usually stay at MGM, and we kind of regret staying here. I'll post some pics of the room experience. We also encountered some attitudes at the sports book restaurant. Check out my review on Yelp. This property is in a good location and has the potential to be as good or better than MGM. last day experience. We called the front desk to see if we could have a late check out. Quickly said we would have to pay more. Said ok how much she said 50 some dollars. I said that is fine. So check out is now at 12 noon. At 11:30, housekeeping knocks on the door. I opened the door, and she said, "You guys are leaving?" we need to clean the room. I told her we paid for the extra hour. Just got this look of whatever. So as we were trying to finish packing and we had 17 min left. I hear housekeeping knocking again. At this point, my wife, who had surgery and barely move opens the door and tells her in pain that we needed 10 more minutes, and we'll be out. Housekeeping finally backed off. My wife was still nice enough to leave a tip for housekeeping. As we walked out, the housekeeping lady did say hope she felt better. I guess that counts for something. Went down to check out and noticed that the lady whomever we got on the phone didn't charge us for the extra hour. We appreciated that. We are from Texas, had a person who had surgery, and had a teenage daughter. I would hope the employees working there would recognize situations like that and use that to create a positive customer service review. So we greatly appreciated the person not charging us half the cost of what a night costs. I think 2 1/2 star is appropriate, but I'll round up for the few positives.
