Google
Its small inside. They don't give free play like some other casinos do when you are a new player and get a players card. Tight in places. But I liked it. First time there. Got a cheesesteak for lunch. Was delicious. Free to park. I will be back

Google
Small casino but it has a good variety of slots. Was there a few times when they had entertainment and the bands were really good. They have a lot of special comp events and contests. They do have people that walk around offering drinks or you can go to the bar and get your own. There is plenty of parking and the lots are well lit. This is a safe casino and people are friendly. Wish they could throw a little more luck my way!

First time visiting Hollywood Casino Morgantown, and it will be my last. The casino itself is small and clean, but the slot machines are very tight — not much fun to be had there. I went to get a players card and the woman behind the counter was extremely rude. She actually questioned me about how often I planned on coming back, as if that mattered. I’m a 7 Star gambler, and I’ve never been treated like that at any other property. Instead of welcoming a new guest, she gave me such a hard time that I told her to keep her card. They lost out on my play — and on a loyal customer. Plenty of other casinos treat their players with respect.

I was there for the meet and greet with Shane Victorino. Had a great experience. The food was delicious. Had the cheesesteaks and fries.

Google
The poker room is top class. The dealers are friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. Mike Jones and Bob are some of the hardest working people in Berks County. Sebastian provides great comedic relief and is a good sport. Bret is the best floor manager in the state and Hollywood is lucky to have him. If you ever want to decompress from the reality of modern life come play a few hands at Hollywood Morgantown.

Google
I only stopped by for a short period but this place was happening. They had a live band which was awesome. I also noticed there was a snack bar. Plenty of slot machines for you to test your luck on. The parking lot was huge, so big infact I feel like I must of missed part of the building. If you stop I hope you win!

Google
Small casino but very nice. Ate an early dinner at ESPN Bet with my boyfriend. The wait was very long just for drinks, but they tried to make up for it with a free dessert.

Google
Pretty good casino all around. Hollywood is known for being a bit tight and this one is no exception, but clean, friendly, good music on the weekends, beverage service is a 7 ( would like them to come around a bit more often). Don’t max it, it’ll just eat up your money- minimum bets are the way to go at this casino.

Yelp
My wife and I visit here most weekends, great employees and clientele. Left money in a machine today and they figured out who we were and contacted us. Absolutely impressed!

Yelp
very small and no hits. I did not like the atmosphere, it was a 45 minute drive and there wasn't really any good place to have lunch except tony lukes which is trash

Yelp
On a whim passing by on a road trip, my parents and I thought we would stop in and check it out. Unfortunately, the security guard at the door wouldn't let me through because my ID wasn't scanning for some reason. I'm literally 27 and I watched him call for a manager to come check my ID, but the manager told him no, so he wouldn't let me through. Funny how I've been through airports in the last few months with no issues, but this rando Pennsylvania casino won't let me through. After reading the rest of the horrible reviews, I'm glad my family and I didn't give them any of our money.

Hot S.

Yelp
worst casino ever. completely rigged server based slots no chance of ever winning more than couple hundred. the management is very rude and they steal from cars in the parking lot.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting Hollywood Casino Morgantown. Upon entryway you are met with a very nice and clean casino floor which connects to a few different restaurants and bars. The gaming floor is split between smoking and nonsmoking with playing tables and the crabs machines as the dividing line. The floor is well staffed and the bathrooms were clean and well-kept. We look forward to visiting again when we are back in town visiting relatives.

Yelp
My wfie and I am are frequent customers at this casino. At least 2-3 times a week. Between $500 and $1,000 a night. Nothing crazy. It doesn't matter. The casino's customer experience people have an antiquated way of rewarding loyalty and worth. LTV is a four-letter word to them. My concern is their ESPN restaurant. My wife and I wanted to have a decent sit-down dinner with drinks. We decided to use my Penn Cash. We approached the person seating us, they said they were running late in the kitchen and that it might be awhile before we got our food. No problem. Can we sit at a booth and get a drink while we wait? No. Say, what? No. We asked again. We had no problem waiting for the food. No, you can't wait. we're too busy. It's bad enough the customer service (no concierge or casinos hosts) and anemic points program but it permeates throughout the casino. I've also witnessed a revolving door with table personel. Get it together, folks. You're printing money. Treat your customers (and I guess, your employees) with respect. I want to blame the fact that the person seating us was very young and English might have been a second language but put someone with experience in customer service out front. It's the face of the casino, too. Valley Forge will have two new customers with weekend. It's only 10 more minutes to drive there and the Revolution is a much higher and satisfying experience. There is no emotional connection to anyone is that building. Why bother?

Yelp
Nice little casino . . . Food options are limited, especially during the week . . . Clean and not too crowded.
google avatar

Lennea B.

Yelp
I liked it here. Not crowded. Machines were paying . Clean .. no smoking. The ladies walked around consistently asking did u want drinks. Bought a $5 wine at the bar. So decent price.

Yelp
The whole hollywood casino organization is a giant scam. Whatever you do, don't play on their mobile phone app. You will never get paid. I won over $6,000 and they refuse to pay me even though i provided all documentation necessary as requested. All you have to do is go look at reviews at BBB and other places. I will be suing the casino in federal court which is going to cost them an absolute ton of money in legal fees, they will regret this.

Yelp
We went here for a concert by a local band. The stage set up is terrible, not elevated at all making it hard to see. Seating is only at the food court area and the bar is in the middle of the stage area. Ventilation must be very poor. Smoke smell is sickening even in the non smoking area. Food options are terrible. If you are looking for Vegas, this ain't it! I think they could bring in crowds for concerts if the set up was better.

Keiko T.

Yelp
I recommend you stay away from this casino. Slots do not payout and they are terribly maintained. They get of the ones that payout and keep the ones that don't . Usually pretty empty

Yelp
A locals places for sure, the places is about the size of a Super Walmart... roughly 50,000 square ft. You can't get lost in here, that's for sure. The place is open 9am-4am, it's clean and seems to be well maintained. With only 4-5 months in operation, it still has that new carpet smell! There are 750 slot machines with very new games. 30 table game including an Asian put, blackjack, caps, roulette, and several carnival games. When I asked the dealer what time either of the restaurants opened, he had no clue... would have been a better rating simply if he had product knowledge or acted like he cared about the company at all... he was friendly, but not helpful beyond game rules. The two restaurants are an Asian place called RedLotus (found out it opens at 4pm) and then Tony Luke (open for breakfast and lunch/dinner). I've been to Tony Luke's place in Philly and in Atlantic City, he should come take his name off this location! The food took 15 minutes to come (20-25 minutes later in the afternoon) out despite being the only order and then we had to wait for our name to be bellowed out to go retrieve it. When we got our "pizza steak" it was dry, had no sauce on it at all, was extraordinarily skimpy and the fries were hard and dry (which my wife actually likes, so weird, lol). Everyone in our group who went here at different times got overcooked fries. Overall, I would only come back if I were in the area for another reason, but it wasn't worth the hour and a half trip.

Yelp
First time here and it's okay. Would I drive more then 30 minutes for it, no. Very small. It is very clean. You can not bring your own drink in, which is weird to me. Only place open before 4pm was Tony Luke's. Did not get what I ordered. Already waited over 20 minutes for my steak sandwich, so I didn't get a reorder. There wasn't a lot of meat at all on the roll. Fries were good bu cheese was cold. They had all the condiments in their own little containers for you to grab what you need. There's only 2 low tables and rest of the tables are high tops. Definitely not worth $20 for it. Beverage cart came around pretty frequently. She wasn't able to provide change from her tips to break larger bills? Maybe a house rule? I was able to get change and track her down. When we got here, there was only one cart. As the afternoon drew closer and it got busier started to see a few more. Bathrooms were super clean!! Over head music is super loud. Was hard to put dealer while he was taking. It was hard to find redemption machines. When I was able to find them they didn't give change just bills. Cashier was getting frustrated with people coming up to her window with multiple small tickets of change. Plenty of trash cans and space to move about. Bar area looks nice! Great social area to grab a beer and watch some sports.

Yelp
Recommend you stay away. These slots do not payout. Go every weekend and go home a loser every time. I keep asking the state to Investigste but they are complicit in making sure the casinos make money for the state. It is a scam to rip people off.

Randy R.

Yelp
Been to many casinos and win ratio is by far the worst I've ever seen. Highly recommend going somewhere else where you can at least have a little fun instead of being robbed.
google avatar

Yelp
THE WORST! This place is a nightmare. You have to watch the dealers closely because they pay out incorrectly quite often. Tonight the dealer was even giving change incorrectly, and short changing people when they were coloring up. It was the slowest blackjack game I have ever played in because the dealer was so slow and kept making mistakes. It's not fun to play here because you feel like you're at a training school, except you've playing with your money. This place is even worse than those dumpy Indian casinos out west. I'll even go as far as to say that this place is worse than the casinos in the Dominican Republic.

Yelp
Oddest casino I've ever been to. I signed up for a players card and asked for a second one for my wife but they wouldn't give me one, they wanted her to sign up for her own card. I asked what would happen if I lost my card and the associate said they would just print me another one. So I took a lap around the casino, went back to the desk and told them I lost my card and they gave me another one. I was starting to feel like I was in bizarro land. I headed over to the center bar and asked the bartender if they were open. It was 1:30 PM on a Saturday and the bar was EMPTY. I asked for a double jack and Coke but was told they don't do doubles, kinda odd for a casino bar, but after the players card thing I wasn't shocked. I asked the bartender to keep a tab open and was told they didn't do that either. I've never been to a casino that goes out of their way to make you stop playing if you want a drink. Bizarro land. After playing some games I finished my 8oz cup of Jack and Coke and I headed over to the restaurant bar hoping I would at least get a pleasant bartender. Yeah, no. I ordered a Jameson neat, no words were exchanged, and was given a 1oz shot of Jameson in another 8oz cup (picture shown). I paid the $6 and grabbed a machine. After I took my sip of Jameson, I headed back to the center bar and someone order a screwdriver. The bartender told them that the orange juice looked very discolored, but she tasted it and it tasted OK. So she asked if it was OK to use the orange juice for his screwdriver. Bizzaro land. Of course the customer ordered something else. I asked for a Jameson neat and was told by this bartender they weren't allowed to make any drinks "neat", she had to put ice in it. This really was bizarro land. I explained that I just got a Jameson neat at the other bar and she just shrugged her shoulders. At that point I just gave up, I waited for the rest of my group to finish and left. We spent about 5 hours there and I got 3 drinks. Food was decent, what you would expect in a casino. Service was terrible and the group at the bar were also mocking the 8oz Dixie cup pours they were getting. Oddest little casino that I will never see again.

Yelp
Blah. Yeah, not impressed. It smells like smoke. It's small. The penny slots make you bet $0.75. I spun once and then had a $0.25 credit. What kind of bs is that? It just wasn't fun at all. I spent $1.75 and cashed out and got my quarter back. We spent $2.75 total here and had enough and left. I feel ripped off. I'm serious. Don't waste your time.

Yelp
Small but everyone's friendly. They have extended the smoking section. And offer complimentary drinks of course except tipping. Only downside was bar wasn't open on a Saturday at 1 pm just wanted a Bloody Mary.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to make our once a year birthday casino run to our new closest casino, Hollywood Morgantown, Pa. My best friend and I celebrate our birthdays (occurring in March) with a frivolous day of blowing our money at a casino. Used to have to drive to AC, but over the last 45 years the casinos have gotten closer to us( we're in Berks County). We had high hopes for this one. Only a few disappointments. Non smoking slots area seemed a lot smaller than the smoking slots. Very few of the interactive slots. And what is it with all the Asian themed slots? Some new trend? Used to be you could sit down at a machine and have a whole sound, sight, and chair vibration experience! And what happened to the actual Penny machines where you could bet less than a quarter? If I wanted to start dropping fifty cents on one spin I'd play a quarter machine not a penny. I guess I'm just a little old lady just out to have a little fun and not gamble my life away. I'm not betting on my Phillies, Flyers, or any of my other teams so there's not enough of my money for anyone to care about but me. But still, I missed the fun yesterday. The food options could be better, but I must say I did enjoy the freshly cooked food at the Red Lotus. Would try more next time we go if it is still there. The building itself was clean, and the staff we encountered were friendly. But if you are ever there during a thunderstorm be prepared for the noise coming from what sounded like a train running on a tin roof. Hurt my ears so much I had to turn off my hearing aids. All in all we will be back if it stays open.

Yelp
I only gave them a 1 star because I had no choice for zero!!!! They made a mistake at the black Jack table by missing me on the table. The card the next person drew was an ace.I brought it to their attention and they said they couldn't bring the cards back. They gave me an option to play my hand or not play. The last time this happened at the same place I could play and if I lost it was a push. I made this decision based on my last experience. When we lost the hand we expected a push. No we lost the bet! We are talking $30.00 dollars, not a big bet!!!!!! When I questioned the decision they said I was wrong. My wife questioned them and they accused her of calling the "bitt" boss an asshole and the "bit" bull offered me food coupons. Both LIES!!!! I continued to question their decision and asked for a manager only to be told this is their decision. Not only will I never come back but I will tell everyone I know and meet what a sham your casino is!!!!! What terrible customer service you promote!!!!! Not to mention both my myself and wife are military veterans!!!!!!!! You deserve a ZERO rating!!!!!! SHAME on you!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Went here on a whimp with my Mom. They had me pull my mask down to "check my age" but never asked for my ID so how could they tell if I was old enough? Plus if I'm wearing a mask when it's no longer required clearly I'm more susceptible so thanks for exposing me. The place is packed- not with people but with slots that are so close together that my Mom had trouble getting through them with her cane. What if someone had a walker or a wheel chair? Also several of the slot machines where convered in gunk from previous patrons so clearly no one was cleaning up. From the front door you can't smell cigarette smoke but by the time you get a few feet in it becomes overwhelming. The smoking section isn't apart ftom the rest of the building. The only reason you realise you've entered it is because the slot machines have tiny signs on them that say smoking. The one restaurant is a food court style opening in the wall. The other bar style one looked unclean. There were only a few card/dice tables that were open but it was clear no one was monitoring how much the players were drinking cause they were clearly one step from hitting the floor. The cart just kept handing them more and more while the neither the dealers nor the bar cart tenders said anything about cutting anyone off. They supposidly have penny slots but you can't pay a penny per turn you have to pay 88 cents to a dollar (so not actual penny slots) - they also don't pay out anything above what you put in if by some miricale you win a spin. Don't waste your time or your cash, go somewhere else, this is truely the bottom of the barrel.

Dennis K.

Yelp
Great place to spend a Friday or Saturday night. They have live music on these nights. Drinks are reasonable and free if gambling. Food options are also pretty good. Tony Lukes is my personal fav. Staff is friendly and it is a great place where you can go gamble, listen to some great music and spend time with friends. So happy this place finally opened.

Narda G.

Yelp
Great place to go and have fun. Friday night live band performance was great! I love it there.
