Great stock and convenient location for raw pet food. We like to buy Steve’s raw beef food, and they have stock in-house. Other locations we have had to special order and wait a few days, so we’re happy we don’t have to do that anymore!

Love the place ❤️ They helped me when one of my dogs was having issues with food. They gave tones of advice and suggested products that might help without being pushy. In fact they said if the product doesn’t work they will take it back. My dog is healthy and happy because of the assistance they gave us and we are so thankful.

So helpful! Great selection, so much variety. A bit pricey, but my dog is eating his dinner again. :)

Truly exceeded my expectations. Love the amount of stuff they have here. No other local pet supply store has my dog’s supplements in stock! I prefer to buy them in store vs online and Hollywood Feed is the only place that has them! Plus, the gentleman working the day I went in was such a sweetheart and was kind to my crazy pup too!

Fantastically friendly service, always, and I'm so happy they deliver so I don't have to schlep 30 lbs of cat litter and food home. I wish they stocked my cat's favorite catnip toys, but they carry a great array of food and treats for pets, so they have my business!

I think the old manager with blonde hair spoiled customers with excellent customer service but unfortunately I'm told she's no longer here. I had a simple question about the cost of an item and I was met with a new employee who tried to ask for help from Teena, the key holder of that location. Teena was unable to look up from her computer long enough to truly help the young lady and the girl was struggling to assist me with a price. I finally spoke to to Teena and ask her if she could actually help instead of giving very vague answers and wasting my time .she came over and guessed the price lol. I've been a customer for over 3 years at this location and I knew her guess was way off. I will not return to this store.. Luckily Austin has some great alternatives such as pet supply plus and pupology in Georgetown. I can't do rude service or half @ss customer care. I normally refer all my clients here due to selection and the customer service but not anymore.

Customer service here is wildly amazing. I've never had folks more knowledgable and take the time out to really explain their products and WHY a certain brand is THEIR favorite. They aren't just pushing stuff for a sale, they truly care. Daniel and Raul are awesome and were super helpful. I trust Hollywood Feed way more than I would any larger chain pet store.

Super great local pet store. Wide array of a la carte treats that you don’t see in a lot of places. I had a lot of fun making a variety bag of treats for my dog with the help of the (very nice) store employee.

My favorite place to buy treats for our dog. Service is always very accommodating and will work with you on pricing for dog treats that are broken or not easily countable. Great variety of dog treats, dog food, and dog supplies, along with other pet supplies, athough I focus on the dog stuff. Reasonable prices. Lots of parking.

I'M DONE WITH THIS PLACE!, I've been going here for a couple of years and they harass you to give them your phone number. I don't want to give it out! They keep harping on you "we give you updates and blah blah blah. I said; "no thank you"...5 times and the cashier kept talking over me about getting my phone number! I even said I'm just here to purchase food and she wouldn't stop. I'm done with this "woke" establishment.

Wish I could give 10 stars! I prefer to shop small, and out of all the stores in Austin that I've tried they have the best prices for high quality cat food, litter, and toys. They have friendly, knowledgeable and helpful employees and I've never walked out of the pet store this happy about my purchase!

Great products and staff. My name is Jason. I was born with cerebral palsy and right hemiparesis. Kodiak, my service dog and I, are here several times a month. On Saturday, we came by for beef lung. Danette,Fen, and Mamie were fantastic. They helped cut the beef lung pieces into smaller bites for Kodiak. The store is always clean, the staff is exceptional. Please recognize Danette , Mamie.and Fen. We couldn't be the unit without them..

Don't use the toll way if your only gonna do 55 to 60. The rest of us have things to do. The toll way is for people who want to go faster.

A great option if you are trying to avoid the big box pet stores. I found the service to be extremely welcoming! They have a large selection of natural and holistic brands with prices around what you would find elsewhere. I normally get my terrier a 14# bag of Nulo dog food and it's comparable to chewy's prices. In fact, they will price match chewy. There's also a loyalty program where you can earn free food on certain brands. I even bought a new toy for my dog and was surprised to find they had several under $12. What's even better, the line isn't that long and parking is a breeze since they have their own lot.

Great selection, attentive staff, and a first class loyalty program. Not sure how you can go wrong with this spot!

Today I ran by here to pick up a dog cookie. As usual, there was a nice selection. The man working asked what kind of dog I have and I explained I was on my way to see a friend whose sweet pup will be crossing the rainbow bridge in the next day or two and the cookie was for that dog. I was also looking for a small gift for the same friend. We talked a bit and he helped me find the perfect gift. He was so compassionate and kind. He is exactly the type of person who should be working in a place like this. I so appreciated him.

Manner lacks all interpersonal skills. Cold. Angry. Disengaged. On phone while checking me out. No thank you. Nothing.

The entire staff is so helpful every time I am in. The manager is always attentive and willing to point me in the right direction when I need it. I will definitely be making this place my Go To pet supply shop!!!!

Love these guys. The most helpful bunch on the planet. I won't shop anywhere else. They were the first to adopt curbside pickup when the pandemic began, made it work quickly and efficiently, and have a home delivery system at no cost. Overall, really a customer-centric store.

I am so happy that there is a Hollywood Feed in Austin!!! We just moved from Dallas, and our dog Baxter eats Fromm food. I absolutely love this company and how much they care for pets. We found everything that we needed and then some! They have a huge selection of food, treats, leashes, beds, clothing, you name it for your furry friend. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly!

What a great selection! I arrived and was immediately greeted by the ladies on site that day. I forget her name, but she showed me the cat selection. I picked a few cans and a bag of cat food. I missed the treats and was shown those as well. The shop was clean and organized and the staff - super friendly. Tons of options at various price ranges. I checked out and returned home. Bugs and Marcia LOVE their new fancy food! Bugs eats his entire bowl and Marcia yells when its time to eat. The wet food as actual bits of meat/fish chunks and smells like human food. The dry... well the cats get really rowdy when I pull that bag out. So much better than a local grocery or pet store. I know Bugs and Marcia are getting the BEST food!

This place is amazing. It has that family store feel even though it's a chain. Super friendly staff who helped me find the right distractions for my cat so she can stop destroying my carpet.

I ordered a bag of litter from amazon and it was stolen from my doorstep so I had to go to a store to get it. I went to Petco and they didn't have it because they are always low on stock. Then I went to Hollywood feed and they had it! Which is great, they are always well stocked. The bag cost as much as it was priced on amazon, which makes me feel good about the prices at Hollywood Feed. When I went to check out, the cashier told me that they had same day delivery and I could order it next time. I then told him about how I had ordered litter from amazon the day before and it had been stolen from my doorstep and HE OFFERED TO GIVE ME THE LITTER FOR FREE!!! How amazing is that??? Literally never going anywhere else. Wonderful store. They also take cans back that my cat doesn't like which is amazing because my cat is super picky.

Mom and pop stores are always more expensive, right? Bark N Purr saved me a fortune. I had two separate but important issues that needed to be dealt with and my approach (throw money at them) would have cost me about $100 more. I conferred with the sales people at Bark N Purr and walked out with products that should do the job, but if they don't, Bark N Purr will refund me.

I went to store for first time and was greeted by a very knowledgeable employee who had a wealth of experience and advice to help with our new puppy! Be sure and ask for Eric- he was so helpful! Great store!

Bark and purr / Hollywood feed will always be my pet store! I work for a mom and pop shop and although going online is often cheaper, I will never cheat on bark and purr!

My dog, Jellybeans, and I both love this neighborhood store! They remember us, are extremely knowledgeable, have the highest quality products, and make shopping there fun. Highly recommended!

I've been buying dog food from Bark 'N Purr for the last couple of years and I cannot say enough about their delivery service. With only a minimum order of $20, they will deliver to select zip codes for FREE. This basically means I never have to drive out and lug home dog food ever again. They have a smooth online ordering system, they are always reliable/prompt with their deliveries, and it has made me a very loyal customer. On the occasion that I visit their store, I love the welcoming greeting of the workers and their willingness to help me. Their dog toys, treats, leashes, etc. are not cheap but it's what you'd expect for a boutique pet supplies shop. You can also ask about their loyalty program for customers.

I love BARK N PURR! Why? Customer service! I like going into a store and finding staff that not only know what they're talking about, but actually enjoy sharing their knowledge. The big box retailers are very good at selling a box but that's all you get. My dogs are seniors so I have to be careful what I feed them, and I'm picky. No question is too silly to ask. You are treated as if you are the only person in the store that matters even if there are many more customers. If you go in for food, I guarantee you will leave with other goodies. I've bought beautiful mats to put my dog bowls on. I've bought treats - Truffle Mac and Cheese are the favorites. If you're looking for a gift for the dog lover, you'll find it at Bark n Purr. Your pups are welcome too, and if they're lucky their picture will be posted on Face Book.

It's unfortunate, but this store has gone downhill since it was sold to a national chain. Be warned that this store allows their employees to bring their dogs to work and they keep them tethered at the register which does not provide a visible barrier to any dogs walking in or out of the store. Today they had a large German Shepherd tied behind the counter. We walked in and my dog saw the dog and immediately started barking at the GSD. Were we in the wrong? Sure. But if I had known there was going to be a large breed dog staring at us as soon as we walked in I would've taken very different action. I probably would've left my dog in the car even though this is her all-time favorite store because of the great memories when it was just bark and purr. The worst part was that the dog barked back and could not be settled. And it was pretty apparent that the girl handling him did not know how to distract him as she let him continue to hard stare and bark at my dog even when we were trying to leave. If you're going to let your employees have a dog at work, it needs to be bulletproof. It should be able to have any dog bark at it and show zero reaction. With so many stores in the area, this is the last time I will be returning to this one.

I meant to write the review long time ago but I was struggling with word to describe how awesome bark n purr is!!!! If you are a raw feeding advocate, this place is your jam!!! I am switching my corgi puppy to raw diet and I was having a little trouble transitioning him. I went in to look for a probiotic to help aid his digestion. One of the lady came by and asked if I needed help. She recommend this probiotic spray bottle, which happened to be on sale for 4 sth $ instead of 9$. She is really knowledgeable and know what she is talking about. I hung out around for little longer to look at some toys for the puppy, she came back with a can of pumpkin. I happened to look for those at HEB that day and couldnt find it. Not to mention Bark n Purr has tons of raw treats. I also bought 2 toys and suprised that they were having buy 1 get 1 free that day. I WILL ALWAYS GO TO BARK N PURR FROM THAT DAY!!! I was actually one of those people who skeptical and only shop at pet smart or petco. My friend recommend me Bark n Purr and I was afraid its just another overpriced pet store. The price is reasonable for me. They have good brand food and great customer services. Im glad I decided to give Bark n Purr a try !!!

I was introduced to Bark 'N Purr by my dog trainer, who advised me to only feed my dog top quality food, usually not sold at regular pet stores (i.e. Petco). I was happy to learn Bark N' Purr offered free delivery since those bags can be quite hefty. It's also nice to be able to manage your account online and arrange for a subscription if you plan to buy regularly, ensuring your dog will not run out of food. My pup had the runs recently and I suspected the culprit to be the recent batch of dog food since my pup did fine on the previous batches and actually loved the higher protein grain free kibble. I called and asked if there was something they could do. They happily offered to refund the food in its original bag. They also gave me good advice on how to treat my pup. I later learned it was Costco's bully stuck (Cadet brand beware!) that was causing his sickness. Poor guy, he loved those sticks. I will be returning them stick asap (I bought 5 bags!) Anyhow, you can tell these guys are passionate about what they do and truly care for the well being of our lovely pets. Try them out!

I've used Bark n Purr for many years. I would never use anyone else again; every time I try, I regret it. In a town of dog lovers, I can't recommend using Bark n Purr more. Just try them for a chew toy or treats the first time, and trust me, you will keep going back; it never hurts to try. The staff at Bark n Purr are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and will even help you to your car and carry food for you. If you can't make it to the store due to an odd work schedule, they deliver to a lot of Austin for free if you order $20 or more at a time, and the other zip codes cost only $5 for delivery; check their delivery map, but it is quite extensive. A lot of people think feeding their pet nicer foods is too pricey, but you can find great food at Bark n Purr for almost the same price as the cheaper foods, and your pet will love you.

I've been shopping at B&P for over ten years and now drive quite a distance to do so, passing several big box pet retail centers and a lot of grocery stores on the way. And here is why: 1) They stock a plethora of healthy brands of dog food that I can't get anywhere else; 2) Their employees have a lot of knowledge, which they share freely upon being asked; 3) Customer service...besides sharing knowledge, they will also offer to carry big bags of dog food to my car; 4) They stock an interesting array of pet accessories that indicate both creativity and a social conscience; 5) Their prices are decent; 6) They are a locally owned company. As a couple of reviewers have indicated, they don't follow you around the store, so be sure to ask if you need help or want their opinions. They are always friendly. The last time I bought dog food, I picked up my usual bag of frozen raw bones for my wanna-be fierce wild hound, and the lady behind the counter even got me an ice pack to keep the kill from thawing on the ride home. I love this place.

Bark N Purr is your friendly neighborhood pet supply center. The first thing I noticed on my maiden voyage to BNP is the sign on the door that said, "We carry the Pet Odor candle." Great! With two cats in a very small house, I was excited about a product that could tone down the unwanted rank. The irony occured when I opened the door and was met with an overwhelming and unpleasant animal smell. Whew. (Okay, okay, so this is nit-picky. I realize that a place full of animals might smell like...well...animals. But the store is huge. They could at least make an attempt to air it out once in a while.) Anyway, back to business. Bark N Purr is a full-service grooming center and retail outlet. Cat car washes and dog dust-downs start at $65 and $45, respectively. (I guess it costs more moolah for them to deal with your cat's attitude. Ha.) Of course, if you're the type who thinks your pet is actually a person, they have "spa" treatments and expert grooming available. Flexible pick-up/drop-off times. As for the merchandise, they sell anything you'd need to keep a happy and healthy pet, plus a few specialty items (designer food dishes and UT Longhorn pet outfits). Food is Bark N Purr's forte. They are experts in nutrition and stock their shelves with chow that's either hand-picked by the owners or suggested by the customers. Very nice. I give props to BNP for the grooming center and the food. As for the retail..ehh...it's nice. I wasn't overly impressed, but maybe I've become immune from too many visits to super-sized Petcos and Petsmarts. Bark N Purr is definitely worth a visit. Meow. Ruff.

Always happy to support a local spot, especially when it comes to pet goods, I was eager to pay Bar 'N Purr a visit when we were in need of a humane bark collar. Quality local pet stores that outfit all the pet needs (not just sweaters and boutique items), I feel, are hard to come by. So, I was elated to be welcomed by rows and rows of every pet necessity - leashes, harnesses, shampoos, collars, toys, food, etc! As any locally owned shop would go, there was nothing in great quantity, but certainly in quality; however the most impressive takeaway from our visit was the service. Walking us through our purchase of the bark collar and really understanding where we were coming from made for a sure fire purchase. The sales person even seem to be knowledgeable about our specific breed of dog and why she barks so incessantly. Being able to relate on this matters is always more comforting, as well. Sure, the prices can reach the steep zone, but you really will find almost everything you need and your money is going to support a local business.

I love this store. The staff always seems genuinely happy to greet their customers. They constantly ask for updates about my fur babies. They are helpful and knowledgeable about what I should or could use with my dog with allergies, and my favorite part is if you forget what the name of something you purchased was, they can look it up for you! They took the time to help me choose harnesses, helping me find sizes, learn to put on easily, and assuring me that if it didn't work to my liking, I could return. They make every experience a pleasant one at this store. I went in and needed to buy dog food, but I am not the one who normally picks the dog food up. They were able to pull up our past purchase and let me know exactly what It was that I normally get. The best part was, they didn't seem to mind doing it!

Great selection of products not found at large chain stores. I would recommend this store for those who appreciate quality and good value.

This is my favorite dog store of all time in Austin. They have an amazing selection of treats, toys, and dog food. They even carry Zignature Kangaroo!!! Woot. They even deliver for free if you live in the designated zones. What my favorite things are about this place is that 1. You can return the dog food if at least 50% is still there. This is particularly nice because my dog went through a phase where he was super picky and didn't like anything we got for him. 2. They have corn, wheat, and soy free dog cookies! I love being able to treat my allergy ridden dog to a dog cookie that he drools over and never got to eat. 3. They open super early!!!!! We have run out of food at night and made an early morning trip to pick up some dog food. I love that they open at 7am and it's been a life saver for us. We love this dog store so much that when we ran out of dog food on the way back to SF from Houston, we drove through Austin so we could stop here because we knew they would be open and carried the brand we like.

The staff are incredibly nice and helpful on products. I buy all my pets food and treats here because of the knowledgeable crew. Usually I'll bring in my dogs to pick out their own treats and they are always met with belly rubs : )

I have been very impressed with Bark 'N Purr each time I've gone in. When I adopted a kitten from the Humane Society, I received a certificate for a free bag of small cat food at Bark 'N Purr. The certificate is good for any brand of cat food, except for Science Diet. All that really good, high quality cat food? You can totally get a small bag for free! I selected a brand, Whole Earth Farms, that I thought my new kitty would enjoy and that I knew I could regularly afford. For months, I have been wanting to switch my two older cats to a better food. I've been feeding them IAMS Healthy Naturals since I've had them, but felt I could really find something better. Price was a definite concern - for $12, I could get the usual 5 pound bag of IAMS, and I was always afraid that making a switch would strain my minuscule budget. (Not that I don't want my cats to eat the best food - I definitely do - but I'm a social worker with a tiny budget, so I bought the best I could afford.) Bark 'N Purr has changed my entire perspective. Whole Earth Farms is only a couple of dollars more expensive than the IAMS I was previously buying. I was so excited. Here was a better cat food with better ingredients AND it will fit in my budget. I only wish I had figured this out sooner. They have several other brands that look awesome and that an employee told me all about, so maybe if I ever get a better job, the kitties can get another food upgrade. So far, though, they love the Whole Earth Farms and the switch was super easy. They've eaten the salmon and the chicken and liked both. Added bonus? The food is for cats at all life stages, so the kitten can eat it, too! (I still got a free bag of the kitten food, though, when I first got her.) The cherry on top? They have a rewards program for the food. I believe you get a bag of food free after your twelfth food purchase. This is amazing since the kitten eats like a horse and I am going through food way faster than expected. (The three cats went through the five pound bag in record time, so I bought the ten pound bag the second time around.) They have an amazing selection of wet food, too. My cats have only tried one or two of the Whole Earth Farms flavors, but they ate it up, so I take it they enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to letting them try all kinds of stuff, though. (I really like giving my cats wet food as a treat - helps add variety and they love the stuff.) I know I mostly talked about cat food, but they have a wide variety of dog food, too. My boyfriend is in charge of buying dog food, so I haven't yet purchased any dry food for our dog, but I did pick up some wet food and some bones. He loved the wet food and has already eaten the two bones I got him. Everything I've purchased has been reasonably priced and well within my small budget. The people who work here are friendly and have answered any questions I've had regarding food. They also share stories about their own pets and their experiences with different brands of food, which I think is great. I have nothing but good things to say about Bark 'N Purr and I am so glad that they are helping me keep my pets healthy and happy.

Free. home. delivery. Yes!!! If I can help it, I'm never again going to have to lug a bag of litter from HEB. They have a minimum of $20 for free delivery. Less than that and delivery costs $5. Totally reasonable for not having to schlep around cat food and litter! Also, I started my elderly cat on Weruva chicken soup from Bark N Purr and she loves it, so hooray for that.

This is an incredible little pet store! I came here on a quest to find some quality cat food for my very picky kitties. As soon as I started looking, an employee asked if she could help and told me all the details about the various brands. She was very knowledgeable and made several great recommendations (without being pushy at all). I recommend this shop for high quality pet supplies, especially if you'd like some help shopping.

I'm a longtime customer, and just love this place. We've used their local delivery for years, for all of our food and litter needs. After our senior dog passed away last year, we'd been without a dog...until some irresponsible idiot dumped a puppy a few weeks ago. So, we have a puppy, and were woefully unprepared for the new addition. I stopped by Bark 'n Purr for some essentials, and the staff was SO helpful. They recognized the slightly-glazed New Puppy Exhaustion, and when I asked for, "the stuff you spray on cords so they doesn't get electrocuted," they showed me to the bitter spray, and were able to suggest a bunch of other teething toys and products. Bully Sticks are expensive, but they are long-lasting, and MAGIC for occupying the tiny needle teeth of Marcia, our Lab/drunken baby shark mix.

I had gone to Bark and Purr,now Hollywood Feed for years.I particularly loved their free delivery of my puppy's dog food.I just found out that they now have a policy that you can't get the delivery free unless you sign up for an automatic delivery program for the food.I also noticed that the last time I was in there,all the friendly staffers I knew seemed to have disappeared.I had asked the man at the counter about grain free versus grain controversy,and he rudely exclaimed in a loud voice,"Oh no, not that question again!"Very embarrassing.Tomlison's will be my go to place from now on, even though Hollywood Feed is closer.What a shame to loose a wonderful, friendly neighborhood store.

Wow what a find!! I was looking for a place that sold Wysong pet food and aside from buying off their website which is an option, I really just wanted to get it local. After much searching, calling and web surfing I found Bark N' Purr. They were a little farther north than I wanted to go but after looking at their website I saw that they make deliveries. I talked to Lance and he fixed me up with what I needed and indeed they do make deliveries to my area. It was like ordering a pizza, it came to house the next day. I tipped like I do a pizza delivery and everyone is happy. They're a regular now every two weeks. Couldn't ask for a better service.

I used to shop at another local pet supply store, until I realized their price for my dogs' food (even AFTER using their loyalty membership discount) was STILL higher than Bark N Purr's normal list price for that particular food. That alone made me switch to Bark N Purr. THEN I found out about their subscription service + free home delivery, which was absolutely the cherry on top. Now, not only am I paying less for my dogs' food, I don't even have to think about fitting a trip to the pet supply store into my schedule. As soon as the bag starts running low, a new package of food appears on my doorstep. It's really nice to see a small business get on board with new technology and take advantage of ecommerce tools like online shopping and subscriptions. It definitely sets them apart!

Jupiter and I are always excited to come here! When I walk in, the manager always recognizes me and my pup (Even though we only come in about once a month to stock up). I had problems for months finding a food that fully worked for my dog's stomach and the manager (I wish I remembered her name for a shout out..) never gave up on trying to help us. After a few recommendations, we finally found a food that works for her and she suggested a great bone broth that always settles her stomach. Every recommendation she has made for treats and toys has always been a success and every time I'm here I spend a bit too much because I just love it all!

I used to think this was one of the best pet supply shops in town. Then, I had a problem and found out that a lot of claims they make don't hold water when you need them to. I have bought Fromm's dry cat food and dog food from them for years. They always say, if there's any issue with their products, just bring them back and they'll replace, or refund, and I never had an issue to test that claim; until I did. My cats always ate the Fromm's Surf and Turf like it was their last supper until, one day they didn't. They simply stopped eating it, to the point that they would go hungry before touching that food again. I assumed that maybe it had gone rancid, or something, but I had quite a lot of it left (I buy 15 lb. bags and keep it in an air tight container). So, I took the remainder back to the store, hoping to trade it in for another flavor of Fromm's. No dice! Even though I have an account there that tracks my purchases and that food showed up in my history, the manager said that they couldn't do anything about replacing it. That's fine, there's another store down the street, Tomlinson's, that offers similar foods and supplies (including Fromm's products). That's my new go to store. You'd think years of being a regular customer for all my dog's and cat's need would amount to something. Perhaps not.

Very cool place close to downtown if you're searching for food for your pets that's more higher grade than what you'll find at the grocery store. I love this place because they sell Orijen dog food. My mini Aussie has been given this brand of dog food ever since he was two months old & he loves it! The food is so pure they say it's even safe for human consumption. Barr n purr even offers the thirteenth bag free after you buy twelve. Only downfall is you have to hold on to the receipts. It would be way easier if they just kept a log book of your purchase, but oh well. A huge bonus too is if you live nearby and purchase anything over $20, they will deliver it to you for free!

Love the store came in to get pest control for the yard that's natural and works great. We us the Nematodes and they eat the ants and all the bugs that have the exoskeleton. We spray twice a year and it is great no ants and or fleas they are kept under control and able to walk barefoot now. Glad you all keep them in stock this is the only place I can find them.

Love Bark and Purr, they have literally been the best pet supply co. in Austin. I was out of my dogs food and they delivered it to my work the same day! THEN, that dog food was making one of my dogs sick so I need another dog food on the fly and they delivered same day too. I am a furever customer of theirs, they're extraordinary. Thank you B&P for just being plain AWESOME!!!

I used to really like this store; however, my trip this past week will be my last. When I went to check out, the cashier tried to hard sell tick and flee prevention for my cats. I said no thank you and listened to her sales pitch. She then started to try and sell me food by asking what kind I feed my cats. I explained that they were on prescription food and hoped that would be the end of this second sales pitch. Unfortunately, I got a lecture for several minutes about how prescription food was a ploy by veterinarians to make money and that I shouldn't be feeding them dry food. She said I should switch them to a wet, raw food diet. I was getting really frustrated and again just said no thank you. She continued for another minute and ended by telling me that I should go do some research. I worked and managed in retail for many years and understand that employees are often just doing as instructed by upper-level management. But to tell a pet owner that they are feeding their animals the "wrong" food without any knowledge about the reasons why--and then to say they should "go do research"--is extremely off-putting.

1. The service is remarkable. They are knowledgeable & friendly. 2. They have a great supply (organic, ethically-sourced, locally-sourced, all sorts of varieties of food, leashes, toys, etc.) 3. They DELIVER! 4. They're expensive, but local & they reward consistent customers (in other words, I think the price is worth it for all of the above). 5. They did mess up my delivery once recently, but I emailed them the same day, & they delivered the missing item same day with clear email communication. All good :)

Wow. I am annoyed. I know that there is no Santa and that there are lots of things that are too good to be true.... What happened today still boggles my mind. First off, AVOID the woman with the short hair, she is older, she wears glasses, and she is probably the owner. But I don't care. Another thing I noticed, the whole staff is DIFFERENT each time I have gone...probably because this woman wants only aggressive people working there....and I hope that negatively impacts sales for them because this is just ridiculous! All I did was ask if they had any samples of Senior Cat Food and she interrupted me telling me I did not need Senior Cat food unless my cat was fat and then proceeded to tell me she would "let me try" this EVO cat food and it all happened so fast (I had my dogs with me and was distracted and had no idea what she was doing which was scamming me) she charged me TEN DOLLARS for a "sample bag" of cat food and then we made the big mistake of buying the beagles 2 cookies and she charged us, gasp, EIGHT DOLLARS FOR TWO COOKIES when the sign said they were 2 dollars a cookie. I got all the way home (we live really far from this) when I realized she had done this, and I am pissed. I am not going back. SHE is TOO SALES AGGRESSIVE and totally took us. I knew our total sounded high at the time but some dogs came in and started barking so I had to leave and did not process what was going on.....or else I would have taken action right then and there.... It IS PARTIALLY MY Fault but she knew she could take advantage and that is not okay and she did not even tell me the price of the cat food! Ten dollars is close to what I pay for a WHOLE bag of cat food, not a "sample bag." She flat out misled and snowed the situation.

I love to shop local over the chains whenever I can. But, this place just does not inspire me to do so. When I lived close by I shopped here for some items I could not find at the chain stores. But, they were often unfriendly and always over priced. I recently stopped by to see if things had improved. Nope, I did not purchase anything and won't be back.
