Hollywood Pantages Theatre

Just went to see The Six, excellent play and a beautiful theatre. The bar tender was doing some pretty cool tricks which kept us entertained while we waited for the time to get seated. They have lids for the drinks so we can bring them in to the theatre now. Overall great experience and would recommend it to everyone.

The Hollywood Pantages Theatre is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone who loves live entertainment and classic architecture. Walking in feels like stepping back into Hollywood’s Golden Age. The stunning Art Deco design — from the grand lobby with its chandeliers and geometric detailing to the elegant auditorium — truly sets the stage for whatever show you’re there to see.  Over the years, the Pantages has hosted everything from the Academy Awards in the 1950s to world-class Broadway productions like The Lion King, Hamilton, and Wicked.  The atmosphere is vibrant, historic, and full of show-biz magic. Most attendees praise the theatre’s ambience and the overall experience. Many visitors love just looking around at the design and craftsmanship alone — it really gives you a feel for the glamour of old Hollywood.

Such a marvelous theater, sending you back to when Hollywood was all glitter and prestige. The intricate detail on the interior of the theater is beyond beautiful. Old decor but exquisite. My daughter brought me there to see the musical version of, The Note Book. Great production. Please see a play there. You won't regret it.

Simply astonishing. This restored 2,300 seat theatre is truly one of the grand spaces to see a show. The art deco architecture is off the charts. For a Broadway-style show, I recommend you sit within the first 15 rows of the man floor or the scale of the space can feel overwhelming and the action far away (no Jumbotrons, thankfully). It’s worth going just to see the space. The lobby, the auditorium, just stunning.

Only good words for this place! The amount of Broadway shows on tour that they host every year is amazing, if I had the money I would come every week. The interior is spectacular and views are good from any seat! The only issue: During the intermission, the line for the restroom is comically long (specially when show is sold out) and you’ll probably won’t be able to go if you don’t run immediately after the intermission starts.

Very beautiful theater, good audio quality and seating. The seats are very tight together but I feel like you find that in most places. Parking was straightforward and convenient so I appreciate that.

Absolutely amazing. A real treasure. I've had the pleasure of attending several times. And it never disappoints. It's one of the most beautiful theaters I've ever seen. The renovation they did years back brought it back to life in a spectacular way. It takes architecture to a whole new level.

What a very cool place. I truly just needed a restroom and was able to check it the amazing lobbyand decor. (I'm sure we weren't truly allowed in to browse, but Mother Nature called). The lobby was truly not to be missed!

This is an experience that everyone should partake in. The theater, located in Hollywood, is rich with history. Absolutely gorgeous inside with comfortable seating and great sight lines to the stage. Clean with plenty of staff to assist you and to help get everyone where they need to be. We've come several times over decades and have never had a bad experience. Plenty of parking, both garage or open lot, may be found in easy walking distance to theater. It'll be a fun walk since you can look for your favorite star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Don't hesitate!!

I was so excited about seeing the stage play of Rick James life. I grew up listening to super freak and fire and desire. Rick James was the man back in my day. The stage play gave a great overview of his life, I learned so much about his life, from draft dodging, the time he spend in Africa and the unconditional love he shared with his Mother. What an amazing storyline, now for the singing, it was subpar at best, everyone on my row complained about the artist that portrayed Tina Maria, she could not carry a note of she had a music book in her hand, she was jut awful. The rest of the singing was just ok, nothing to write home about, and although the story line gave great historical references, learning about his relationships with the legendary Temptations, Lionel Richie, Prince and Mc Hammer. The play was just ok. How would I rate this stage play on a scale from 1-10, I would rate it a 6

I recently came this popular theatre (opened in 1930 and the first televised Oscars - The 25th Academy Awards - was held here in 1953) to see a comedian. [Parking]: Visitors can reserve parking ahead of time via ParkWhiz (https://www.broadwayinhollywood.com/visit/hollywoodpantagestheatre/pantagestheatreparking) with prices range from $14 to $35. I didn't book ahead of time and was really luck to find a free street parking spot 3 blocks away from the theatre (near the intersection of La Baig Ave & Carlos Ave). [Entry]: The show was a phone-free show and the venue used a pouch called Yondr. All guests will put all phones & smart watches in individual Yondr pouches. Guests will get to carry their pouches with them at all time and security guards will unlock pouches upon leaving the venue. In case of emergency, guests can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue. [Seating]: Since my ticket is on my phone, there was a person giving me a seat reference slip with my seat number written down. I was seated in Sec ORCH Row WW and had no problem hearing the audio, but I definitely can't see the stage super well. Overall a solid theatre with good sound quality. P.S. - There's a new Thai night market called atSiam Night Market (https://www.yelp.com/biz/atsiam-night-market-los-angeles-5) just two blocks away from the theatre.

I love the Pantages. The deco is amazing . Not a bad seat in the place. I've seen many plays here. The neighborhood isn't the best, but it's hollyweird !

If you like to spend a wonderful time listening to magical voices, impressed by the out of the world performances, look no further than the Pantages. Recently, I attended Chicago musical. What a glamorous and fun night! The venue is always clean and stunning. The staff is very professional and friendly. It is really one of my favorite theater in LA. No matter what the musical is, it is always a memorable and incredible time at the Pantages.

Me and my boyfriend went to the Hollywood Pantages Theater on Saturday June 9th, 2024 to see the stage play of Je'Caryous Johnson Rick James Super Freak. The Theater is beautiful! Very old antique Hollywood with lots of gold and deep red colors. I was amazed with the ceiling. Absolutely stunning! I will return here if another play that I want to see is being hosted here. I love that there is a cocktail area where you can enjoy your drinks although you cannot bring it into the theater. My only complaint is the theater doesn't have parking so you have to park in nearby paid parking lots that start at $50.00. When we purchased our tickets through Ticketmaster there was a red alert message that asked if we wanted to prepay parking at a nearby parking garage. I opted to pay $20.00 in advance and thankfully we did but remember to drive a small vehicle because we drove a truck and had a hard time entering due to low ceilings.

Came here to see Mrs. Doubtfire the show was hilarious, too bad I couldn't record it. The only thing that was missing was being able to bring my drink from the bar to my seat also the line to the restroom is craaazzzzyyy long. Use the restroom before the show starts because you probably won't have time during intermission.

Always such a beautiful venue and so elegant Very interesting if you walk out onto the street during intermission you'll have to have your hands stamped...And they really abide by it! Even though they can see you while you're on the street you have to show your hand back before you enter! Yes, you go with the rules. I love it. The entrance process is relatively easy. Sometimes the lines can get quite confusing since there are no ropes to guide. But the staff is pretty vocal about lines and so Very helpful in finding your seats! Parking structure nearby and walkable so you can strut your heels. Just beware crossing the streets at night as it can get kind of dark and busy! I will hold onto your special person tightly!

Been coming here for many years, but the past several years I've been a season seat holder. We love coming to see Broadway in LA! Entry into the theater is much easier now with their upgraded security scanners. Download the app and save your tickets right to your digital wallet for them to scan you in. They offer snacks and drinks for purchase in the lobby, but they'll only let you bring water inside the auditorium. They have attendants in the restrooms to help keep the lines moving. The line can get really long closer to the start of the show and also during intermission. This past season we've enjoyed Aladdin, MJ, Mama Mia, Chicago and Come From Away. The staff is always helpful as well. Looking forward to next season!

Wow, First of all I am not a huge of musicals. Second, I like MJ but am not a diehard fan. I had the opportunity to visit the Pantages theater and am so glad I did. There is quite a bit of foot traffic, but entering is pretty quick. The theater is beautiful (I disliked the red carpeted floor though). We were seated quickly and the show began. The entire length of the show was PHENOMENAL! The actors were all amazing, and the way the story is told was great. I don't want to spoil any details but definitely recommend it. My wife is a huge MJ fan and I cannot wait to come back with her and experience it. P.S. I like that they have a system for the restroom during intermission that flows quickly and efficiently instead of being a cluster mess. Does this mean I am officially artsy fartsy now?

Entering from Gower and dancing down the Hollywood Walk of Fame along Hollywood Blvd across from the Fonda Theater, Amoeba Records and just before the Frolic Room... Bright lights and a beautiful marquee... The Hollywood Pantages Theater or simply the Pantages. Greeted and guided by a plethora of Pantages Theater guides, security and staff... Having your tickets for your show ready are essential and they as well as properly placed signs will let you know to do just that. Gorgeous art deco style layout + architecture throughout that marinates along every carpet, pillar, staircase, door, ceiling and crevice of Hollywood's PT. It's been more than a few years since I've set foot in, but I'll never forget my very first time way back in 1997... Seeing Westside Story in the Mezzanine... Taking the staircase always feels so glam especially with the beautiful attentions to detail and upkeep. So many great productions (musicals mostly) And now enjoying some great seats in the main orchestra auditorium ground floor. We received our Playbill's about 25 to 30 minutes before the show as soon as the doors opened (and not a moment before) and found out seats (well on the second try). And just like most large theaters you can enjoy concessions, pre-show mingling, merchandise shopping and use the restrooms on either side of the Pantages. Seeing MJ (the Musical) at thee Pantages Theater made/is making the first week of the year oh so sweet! The show was beyond incredible and I'm definitely seeing it again as well as The Wiz next month. So grateful to enjoy a night of theater, reimagined songs and parts of the life of late great Michael Jackson. Really incredible cast, band, sound and crew. Using the restroom before the show is recommend, there will be an intermission (roughly 15 to 20 minutes max), however the lines are massive during these times and of course after the end of your show. You'll still manage if it's a must, but patience is suggested. They do have Parking about in lots near the P. not Y. T... (see what I did there), however if you don't mind a brief stroll there is street parking with few restrictions right off the 101 Fwy exit for Gower Street that wraps around the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, from Yucca Street to Carlos Avenue (just make sure you're back by 11PM. Also just across the street for the Hollywood/Vine Metro B (Red) Line station... and near hotels, motels and inns in the area if you're visiting. Big thanks to my amazing friend Michael Jackson... (-Polek) aka Mike aka MJP to me for letting me tag along for the fun. Absolutely a must experience in Hollywood and Los Angeles! And I'm not just saying that because... "Now I believe in miracles and a miracle has happened tonight!"

I was surprised by my friend to see the musical play MJ for my birthday at the historical Pantages Theaters. It's so beautiful inside filled with gold craftsmanship with unbelievable detail. Every seat is decent and with a good view of the stage. The musical play was impeccable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is located in parking lots/structures or on the street. You can never go wrong by seeing a play, concert, etc., at this theatre.

We came here to see MJ the Musical. We did a week day matinee which was pretty affordable for seats in the balcony. We were stage right and the way the theatre is laid out, all balcony seats are decent. No instructions other than the 7' tall dude sitting in front of us. Lol. The lobby is so ornate. If you have never been, go early and take time to soak it all in. So elaborate and interesting. Sounds quality and lighting seemed well done. Stage was great. Everything felt like a quality experience. Feels like Nederlander Theatres maintains this well. Lots of staff to sell drinks and snacks and swag. I would come here again for sure.

Beautiful theater in Hollywood! We came here to see Michael Jackson; The Musical, which was amazing by the way! They have a few parking lots nearby but make sure to arrive plenty ahead of time. The lines for the restrooms can get very long so make sure to plan ahead of time if you need to use them before the show. They sell some snacks and drinks in the entrance hall but no drinks or snacks are allowed in the main theater. It's a beautiful theater that's is very well maintained and a great place to see a show!

I went there on a Tuesday night 7:30 MJ The Musical show and had a nice time. We sat at Orchestra K seats and was good view. Staff was very helpful and very good at making people following no photos during show rule (a few did with phones anyway). A few people had their phones rung with sound during the show so please don't forget to silence these before show! During intermission a very long wait for restrooms. I love this place and hope to be there again!

July 7, 2023 I had the pleasure of seeing the Tina Turner musical here and this was the perfect home for such an Extraordinary Entertainer. The Hollywood Pantages Theater has been around for a very long time. Although it's been a number of years since I've been here, it's just as exquisite as I remembered. This venue is a place for seeing old Friends and meeting new Friends. It's a place where Families remember the Past and look forward to meeting again for the next event. Hollywood Pantages Theater is truly a landmark I can't wait til next time

Lots of nearby parking although quite pricey. But what would you expect for Hollywood/LA? Venue is nice, only snacks inside no real food so make sure you eat before you get there or plan on eating afterwards. They have multiple bars inside which is commendable and convenient. 2 Women's bathrooms (lines are still always gonna be around the corner), nothing to do with venu. Feet are spacious enough in terms of legroom, all angles of the stage are nice, unless you're sitting behind somebody with a big head in which case you're screwed. Stokely Williams did an amazing job of portraying Rick James. Definitely worth seeing.

We have been to the Hollywood Pantages Theater several times, but most recently, last night to see the new MJ Musical. The theater is impeccably clean, and still in great condition. The staff is friendly, and make sure everyone knows they are there to help if the need arises. Even the staff at the concession stand work fast so patrons don't miss anything. Parking is also close by and convenient with several options to choose from. What I really liked was that you can now add parking on your ticket purchase. The lot was nearby, and secure. Looking forward to our next night out at the Hollywood Pantages Theater.

Venue - a classic in Hollywood California. You owe it to yourself to go here and marvel at the ornate wall and ceiling decoration and of course, any show that you are scheduled to see. We are about to watch Mama Mia. We've been here to see Wicked and Lion King and both didn't disappoint. Am sure Mama Mia won't either. This place can certainly accommodate a lot of guests. The staff keeps things organized and moving promptly. The show is about to start so bye bye for now.

Historic Hollywood charm without a bad seat. The Pantages has been at the heart of Hollywood since opening in 1930. It is a wonderful theatre with tremendous history. For the most part every seat has a nice view of the stage and is comfortable. The sound varies from show to show as the theatre does not have a sound system. Each production brings and tests their own sound. So if the sound is off, blame the production not the building. Overall not a bad venue to watch a show.

A landmark in Hollywood. Surrounded by the stars. They do not have elevators so be aware if you're attending and need assistance. The restrooms also require stairs. Their hospitality is generous. Performing arts here at the Pantages is so entrancing it transports you to worlds of wonder. Recently attended for Les Miserables and every performer was spectacular. The set designs and orchestra captivate your attention. The range of performers are so talented and gifted with beautiful voices to echo throughout this grand venue. The lights go on and you easily forget the world around you and have that moment to escape and enjoy timeless performances.

I love coming to performances here. It's my second time this year. This theatre is absolutely gorgeous. They put the art deco into art deco. Today I am seeing THE WIZ! Amazing performance.

I'm a musical girly and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to see amazing productions at the Hollywood Pantages! I've seen Phantom of the Opera, Moulin Rouge, Six!, and Les Miserables at this theatre. Mamma Mia is next! I love the aisle seating in the center right or left section since it's easier to get to the bathroom during intermission because those lines can get incredibly long. My husband and I did the VIP lounge experience once for about $75 each and I enjoyed it a lot and wouldn't mind doing it again. It includes complimentary alcoholic beverages, appetizers and desserts, as well as a seating area with a separate bathroom away from the general public. The stage production is always so beautiful and detailed oriented, and I think the sound system could be a bit more balanced but it doesn't bother me. Parking is decent. I usually just pay for the closest lot on Ticketmaster which is about $25. It may take a while to get out depending how fast you can leave the theatre.

I enjoy this venue. It's quite beautiful inside. It's large with plenty of seating. I like to sit in the mezzanine because I feel you can get a great view from there. The staff are helpful and friendly. They sell concessions or alcoholic drinks in the lobby. No food or drinks are allowed in the theater, though. There are many public parking lots in the area as well as some nice restaurants to visit before or after your show. They get a wide variety of shows and you can buy season tickets, if you are interested.

If you love musicals, you need to get season tickets to the Pantages. The lineup is usually great (although this year it's pretty weak), and we've seen some really good shows here. (This post contains only a few - we've been season ticket holders for years.) Entrance is streamlined, efficient, and well-engineered. You're in and out in no time. The seats and sets are thoughtfully laid out regardless of the production, and virtually every seat is a good one. I am partial to the back half of the orchestra and the first few rows of the balcony (toward the center), but I don't think the other seats are lesser. The designers really did a good job. Concession lines move quickly and the lobby is gorgeous, so if you'd like to enjoy a glass of wine, you'll enjoy it in a lovely space. The theater interior is stunning, as well. I'm obsessed with the ceiling. The bathroom lines move quickly, and there are plenty of stalls, so it's actually possible to run to the ladies' room during intermission without missing a single note. You would think that parking would be challenging in bustling Hollywood, but it's actually plentiful. There are at least 5 large lots within a short (less than 1-block) walk. Katsuya is great for dinner before the show.

Absolutely loved the experience! I can't believe I've lived in LA for so long and never came. Beautifully Art Deco interior, originally opened in 1930's this is a true gem. We found last minute tickets at the box office at a discounted price the day of the event so we were excited. Even though we sat on the mezzanine (furthest level up) they were great seats! The place is intimate enough that there's no bad seats! All the staff is super friendly, professional, and helpful. Great experience! There's several parking structures within blocks of the theater. Make sure to allow plenty if time because Hollywood traffic can get tricky sometimes. But it's worth it! Inside you will find a cocktail area, souvenirs, snacks, plenty of restrooms (line goes fast), and the most iconic Hollywood Glam feel!!

I've seen three performances at the Pantages: Wicked, Book of Mormon, and Mama Mia. I loved all the performances with amazing performers. It's amazing how they can act, dance, and sing all at the same time. I usually sit high up in the balcony but the sound carries really well. The audience is always the right audience and they bring the energy and enthusiasm. Today, I saw Mama Mia and they now have closed captions and sign language interpreters. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Even though this theatre is not wheelchair accessible, the staff helped carry the walkers up and down the stairs and kept my student's walker safe during the performance. There are several bathrooms and concession stands. Concessions are super expensive but it's supporting the arts.

I watched THE most beautiful, Aladdin. It was soooooooo AMAZING!!!! The Pantages is a classic theater with all the bright lights, beautiful artwork and sculpture. The chairs are a little outdated but it gives vintage. Anywhere you sit will be a great view to the stage. I enjoyed the experience. Street parking. Plenty of lots. Across from The W so you can take the metro. No photography. No eating. No drinking.

Nice place! We went here to watch the Aladdin Broadway Musical Event. It was a very long line an hour before the start of the event. Tips for you - you do not have to fall in line.. just wait for the event to about to start and then go. Roam around Hollywood and enjoy around the area instead of staying in line because they will not even let you go IN the theater until the show is about to start. If you want to buy drinks or snacks before then go--- because the line gets long. There are cocktails and snacks that you can purchase on the 1st and 2nd floor but no food or alcoholic drinks are allowed inside. Only water and soda that you purchased from them. Restrooms are on the 1st and 2nd floor so do not punish yourself in the 1st floor esp to women's restroom, yup there's another one in the mezzanine part. Parking is harsh! $40 for the Pantages but we got to go a block away for $35 all night uughh!. Oh well, the show was worth it so we will come back but I think taking Uber will be advisable next time. NO PHOTOGRAPHY INSIDE THE THEATER ONCE THE SHOW STARTS, so take as many as you want while you are outside! That's all thanks!

As a seasoned attendee of various productions, I've always admired the theatre's opulent lobby, a true visual delight with its stunning mosaic and captivating water fountain. However, this holiday extravaganza surpassed all my expectations. The cast and orchestra were the backbone of pure professionalism, delivering sheer magic with every note and every line. The sold-out audience, myself included, were completely enthralled by their outstanding performance. The snow falling from above, coupled with exceptional lighting and captivating music, set the mood seamlessly from scene to scene. The portrayals of the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who were nothing short of spectacular. Each dancer and extra added a layer of wonder, transporting me back to the enchantment of childhood fantasies. This is a must-see show, a masterpiece of artistry that I feel fortunate to have witnessed. To the remarkable cast, orchestra, directors, technicians, and writers - your collective brilliance is awe-inspiring. Thank you for reigniting the magic of my beloved childhood oppo character, the Grinch. You are all simply amazing, and this production is an absolute treasure.

Feel like every view at the Pantages is a great view. Been coming here for years. The only issue is that is seats are too narrow and close together. But love the shows and the service. The bar at the bottoms is a nice touch. Like the specialty cocktails they have.

Pantages is always a treat and today was a great time seeing TINA for a 1pm Matinee. I got there around 12:25 and had enough time to grab a glass of wine, snacks, merchandise and hit the bathroom and still make it to my seat with 10 minutes to showtime. All the lines for each of my 4 stops moved quickly. Prices were decent; $12 for a cup of wine (that you couldn't take to your seat), $10 for water and candy. The restrooms were clean, although hubby said the men's urinals were so TINY! We had a great time and the show/music were fantastic.

Being a huge musical fanatic, my experiences here watching Lion King, Wicked, Waitress, and Les Miserables, were unforgettable and captivating. Upon entering the theatre, the architecture is immaculate and the details are overwhelming. I've had seats near the orchestra and in the nosebleed but despite seating location, the musicals sound and performers will envelope you regardless. The sound dynamics are good so you won't have any issues hearing or enjoying the show. Make sure to arrive on time since no one likes to be distracted by usher lights. I would purchase parking (roughly $20) along with your tickets for convenience. I would also arrive at least 30 minutes early, so as to have sufficient time to explore and take in the environment. Grab a Playbill and get to know the performers - it's nice to know where they come from and the experience they have had as performers. It makes the experience personal as everyone undoubtedly works hard to make it on stage. I hope you enjoy the show and scream encore, encore, encore!

What a stunning theatre! First class all the way! Our bartender was AWESOME (I think his name was Moon or Noom). So friendly and made me a fantastic fruity drink. The Les Miserables performance was amazing and brought out every possible emotion in me. Public parking lot behind the theater had several spots open. My only complaint is that the intermission wasn't long enough considering there were 40-60 women in line at each restroom facility and the pre-ordered drink had to be downed quickly as the show had started up. Maybe give 30 mins for intermission so people can enjoy the little break and use the facility without being stressed out?

Came to the Pantages Theatre to see Les Miserables, the show was great. It's been many years since I've seen had seen it also a year or two since I had been to the Pantages. The interior of the theater is beautiful, an old art deco style, this theater has been around since the 30s and it's just amazing inside,the walls, the ceilings everything. This was an amazing time for Architecture and decor in general. Pro tip: There is parking next to, and very close to Pantages, but I would recommend using a parking app to locate parking or look around and take a short walk and save a lot of money. Parking at or near the venue can run you more than $40, but using a parking app you can find parking within a couple blocks for $15-$20. Worth the walk, although the area is not the greatest, there usually are lots of people walking to get to the Theatre or just out and about in general. Looking forward to if Phantom of the Opera ever comes back to the Pantages, have to go again. Enjoy!

Had an unforgettable date night at the Hollywood Pantages theatre watching MJ the musical for a date night with my husband. The show was incredible with a stellar cast. The theatre itself is stunning! It's beauty added to the experience, but beware of pricey parking - recommend purchasing in advance for a better deal.

Second time at this theatre! First time was a few years ago when I watched Phantom of the Opera, this time is for the Michael Jackson Musical!! We got there a bit early at around 6:30 pm and they started to let people in at 7pm. There wasn't much of a security or bag check from what I remember, the website did list bag size limitations but I saw bigger bags lol. Anyways, after our tickets were scanned, we're free to walk around the lobby or the halls to get merch, drinks, foods, or use the restroom etc. They opened the front doors at 7pm but the theatre doors at 7:30pm so we did have to wait even more before we can be seated. The theatre was very clean and the staff was super helpful and overall organized. We sat in Section ORCHRC, Row K. We had a great view of the stage and had a great time watching! The performance was amazing and blew me away!

Love this theatre! It's art deco ambience is lovely. And it's a decent sized theatre where almost any seat has a good view.

I came to the Pantages Theater to see MJ The Musical. Awesome show! The acoustic system was great. We sat in the Orchestra section row W. They were decent seats. We were able to see the entire stage unobstructed. Caution! This show sells out which means there are crowds of people We chose the matinee show thinking we would avoid the crowds and it was still a full house. The Pantages theater is absolutely beautiful but it is old and in my opinion, they didn't have enough restrooms. The lines were super long. It took me the entire intermission to use the restroom. Also, I didn't see any elevators. I don't think this is a good theater to visit if you're disabled. The parking lots require some walking to the theater. I did enjoy going to Hollywood. I even saw Tina Turner's star on the Walk of Fame.

A theater that continues to shine!!! After hearing all the incredible stories about this theater I finally made it. I was fortunate enough to watch Hamilton, and the incredible Lion King!!! I was blown away with both productions. The architecture is one word STUNNING. There are so many tiny details. For those who like to drink there are two bars located to the left and right of the lobby. Just take one flight of stairs up from the lobby. The food selection was ok but remember you're not allowed to bring concessions to your seat. At intermission go explore this beautiful building. I would love to take a tour of this gorgeous place someday.

Great theater. Great seats, Row D orchestra center. Well organized. Great people guiding you in and out. Everyone was so helpful and nice. I hadn't been to this theater in years and it's really nice inside and not confusing like sone theaters can be.

This place is gorgeous. The art deco vibes that they is absolutely gorgeous!! We went to see Aladdin and it was a great time! Would recommend going to the box office to see if they have tix for the next day, if you're ok possibly not seeing the show. But I went and they gave me mid/back front row tickets for $30. Good luck!!

THEATER GEEKS, UNITE! Oh Pantages, how I love you so. Iconic, historic, mesmerizing and beyond. I absolutely love this theater and everything surrounding it (restaurants, stars from The Walk of Fame, the bustling streets). It feels like a transportation of time. The Pantages is a well-oiled machine: very organized, ushers are polite and direct the crowds well, helpful with disabled persons. They are even encouraging! During intermission we got up to use the restroom and the lines were long! Usher says "don't worry, folks! The line goes fast! You can do it! You know you're gonna regret it if you don't!" I thought this was super cute and funny. The shows I have seen here (50+) have always been great! Colorful, dynamic, great audio, orchestra. I've sat all over the theater and I've always felt it was a good spot, really. And that's a lot coming from a seat snob! It's very organized when the show lets out as well. But... don't let the Tijuana hot dog cart sellers get you on the way out. They smell great but aren't that good. Don't get discouraged if you can't get seats to a show. They do raffles on the day of and my aunt has won tickets many, many times. Tickets are decently priced here if you jump on the sales early. Definitely support the theater industry and check out shows here! They will leave you inspired and smiling ear to ear! Cheers! :)

Without a doubt, a 4.5 score. My only complaints would be in regards to parking - literally hard to obtain and reserve; so please reserve parking as close as possible! Next, there is lack of access to cocktails and bars within the theater. I mean, its available, but during acts and during intermission, they are packed!!! So please, do yourself a favor and visit them early. And lastly, restrooms, take your lady, your daughter's, and your mom and aunts to the restrooms early. They get packed!. The decor and the styling of the building in and out are fabulous . Just mesmerizing. The seats, either top or bottom, were great . The experience will be fun, and make sure to grab dinner and drinks before the event. It sure makes a difference!

We have enjoyed attending shows at The Pantages Theatre this past year! Will definitely be attending many more in the months ahead. Get there early enough to find parking, I prepaid at a lot a half a block away, and it's just nice to be there early without stressing out about the traffic and getting to your seat in time.

Living in the "movie capital" that is LA, it's easy to forget that we have some of the best live theatre venues in the US. Absolute top of the list is The Pantages -- about 100 years old and so ornate it can take your breath away. Definitely a special occasion place when a show you like comes to town. I saw Mean Girls over the weekend, and have recently seen Book of Mormon and Lion King. A hit! Tickets are purchased on line and sent to your phone for scanning when you enter. Feeling flush? Have dinner first at the W Hotel across the street (their restaurant is Delphine); I think they have some kind of park and dine package. Otherwise, parking is crazy expensive, we paid $25 at the underground lot two blocks away where the Dunkin Donuts is located. Beware of the Pantages' deep bench; this theatre is huge. Seats are Rows A to Z and then AA to ZZ. If your wallet says yes, splurge on the closest seats you can manage. "There's not a bad seat in the house" is something no one says here. Once you get into the double letters, things are looking a bit teeny. Some like the upstairs mezzanine seats and I bet the first row or two are awesome. Anywhere you sit, there are no screens or monitors; it's the stage or nothing. But the sound system is excellent and you will definitely "hear" the action from any seat. Legendary are the bathrooms lines. Try to go before the show starts. At intermission, you'll be in line literally for the entire break. No food or drink allowed in the theatre, so I'd pass on the lobby snacks. Every show has its own 'merch booth' with cool stuff you cannot get elsewhere. Post-show, there's a little ice cream shop on Hollywood Boulevard where the parking and Dunkin Donuts is, and it's pretty good. Curtain up!

Add the Pantages Theatre to your California bucket list! Our group attended a Saturday showing of Mean Girls to celebrate two 30th birthdays! We happened to visit during one of California's rare rain storms and arrived soaked due to limited parking. Despite the temperamental weather, we had an amazing time exploring this historic theatre and watching a creative take on this fan-favorite movie. We instantly grabbed cocktails from the downstairs bar to warm up. Unfortunately you aren't able to take these open containers to your seat, so we drank these pricey bevies relatively quickly. They also have a number of nonalcoholic drink options, snack foods, and themed merch available for purchase. While the show was excellent, I mainly spent the afternoon in awe of the gorgeous architecture and vaulted ceilings of the theater itself. Everything about this place screams old time Hollywood!

I watched Les Misérables for the second time, and I must say, it continues to be an absolutely incredible experience. This timeless musical never fails to captivate and move me, no matter how many times I see it. The production value of Les Misérables is simply outstanding. The set design, costumes, and lighting all work together seamlessly to transport the audience into 19th-century France. The attention to detail is remarkable, and every scene feels authentic and immersive. The cast of Les Misérables is exceptionally talented. The actors bring their characters to life with such passion and emotion that it's impossible not to be deeply moved by their performances. The vocal abilities of the cast are truly awe-inspiring, with each song delivered with power, precision, and raw emotion. The iconic songs like "I Dreamed a Dream," "One Day More," and "On My Own" never fail to give me goosebumps. The storyline of Les Misérables is a powerful and poignant tale of love, sacrifice, and redemption. It tackles themes of social injustice and the human spirit's resilience in the face of adversity. The narrative is beautifully woven, and the emotional impact of the story is profound. Watching Les Misérables for the second time only reinforced my admiration for this musical. It is a testament to the enduring quality of the show that it can still evoke such strong emotions and leave me in awe. Whether you're a fan of musical theater or not, I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing Les Misérables. It is a theatrical masterpiece that will leave you inspired, moved, and in awe of the incredible talent on display.

A beautiful and wonderful theatre and their shows are unbelievable! We have seen many shows here throughout the years- Hamilton a few times, Aladdin, Wicked and Beetlejuice to name a few. The actors are simply phenomenal in every way. Each time we go we are just amazed at the talent and showmanship of everyone on stage. Our children love it so much too. You will not be disappointed if you see any performance here!

I realized I never made a review for the Pantages, despite how many times I've been there in the past year alone. It's a great historical building, but there are plenty of upgrades that need to be made because sometimes it smells quite old. I'm not sure how well ventilated the lobby area is, but often we're gathering there before a show, I can feel very stuffy even on a cold day. I've been very lucky to have seen Mean Girls, Wicked, Lion King, and many other musicals here because I live and work very close. The staff are very nice and the box office is always willing to help me find the cheapest seats I possibly can because coming to see a show costs a lot of money. I'm hoping they can make some upgrades to the building and make it more accessible because sometimes the stairs are hard to walk for people who have disabilities, and the elevator can be a ways away. More ADA options would be a good new addition the next time they make updates.
