Here's the honest review. I've been holding back, but whatever.
When I moved in almost a year ago, it was great. Super friendly valet, mostly great concierge team, fast and friendly maintenance + housekeeping.
Fast forward - 9 months later
Insane management turnover, the newest one being Paris, who is by far the worst of the bunch. A week into her arrival she eliminated some of our favorite staff members, who made this place feel like community. Further, she removed valet parking - stating that residents wanted this - which was not true. To the point where we did a petition that received over 100 signatures, yep, within days. She tried to intimidate the petition holders, who happened to be contractors with the building as fitness instructions, when they resisted, somehow they lost their contract. To me, that feels like retaliation. Especially when suddenly she has a new fitness team that she happens to have a personal relationship (fast forward: she hires even more of her friends as staff members). It's blatantly obvious, as we've all seen her Instagram page, posting about her waking up in Dubai on her Instagram, #travelblogger. That makes sense as to why she went on vacation twice in her first three months here.
Subsequently, the "weekly crepe breakfast" they offered us in lieu of the valet parking was cancelled three weeks in a row because of her vacation. Lol. Facilities she has been extremely strict with residents with has been for her own leisure, for example, using one of the vacant penthouses to take a photoshoot. I can't make this up. My final straw was walking into the lobby and overhearing Paris making intimidation statements directed to the maintenance team, which by the way - are incredibly kind, helpful, and care about the residents. Unfortunately, Jose's maintenance team is understaffed, which is terrible timing, as our building has been facing rampant cases of leaks.
Some residents also get targeted. Unfortunately myself included. I was berated by a leasing agent, Danielle (another friend of hers), for a few drops of water falling on the ground from a houseplant I was carrying. Meanwhile, the smell and sight of dog urine doesn't get the same hostility. Neither do the residents moving trash bags full of weed or the scammers in evictions.
Just a couple weeks ago, they started charging for EV usage, which was free. For us EV drivers, our cost of the valet was cheaper than the self park + charging option. We're actually paying more but have to do more. Make it make sense.
EDIT: I completely forgot to mention the spider infestation on our roof. It is RAMPANT with spiders. We see about 10-15 large poisonous spiders per day, with insanely large webs.
UPDATE: This Instagram post is from our manager, Paris. While Greystar has not reached out trying to rectify the situation, our manager is instead calling us stalkers, haters, and demons. This is a luxury building, ladies and gentlemen.
I don't see current management lasting here.
