Terrible experience. I ordered a pizza and on the third slice realized that side was heavily undercooked, able to stretch the dough 3+ inches see picture (cheese is off). They told me they would neither refund or recook a pizza for me after paying $27 with tip. So disappointed in both the staff and place in general.

Google
I tried the cheese pizza it's very damn delicious and very Fluffy, the cheese used also of nice quality and pizza is cooked on its edges so you can even eat every bit. Full size pizza might be sufficient for 4 people, it may depend on people.

It appears that this place is under new ownership and are changing their name. Nonetheless, This place served as a reminder of why I invested in a pizza oven. The pizza looks good, on top. The toppings were fresh. That is the best I can say. I ordered the 10" supreme pizza without olives. The top was browned very well and had some crisp. The bottom was a white uncooked mess. It is clear that they are not allowing the pizza stone to get up to temperature. out of the 4 slices, I ate one, pulled the toppings off a 2nd and ate them. The 1st slice wasn't the greatest, but if it were cooked all the way thru I could have given it more stars and recommend the spot, as it stands now, I will eat from there again, especially for the prices that they charge.

The food is very delicious. A Muslim girl was taking the order and making the food. She is very fast, very gentle and pizza was excellent

Google
Not a bad place. It is pricey though. $17 for a small cheese pizza, but considering the location, everything is pricey at Halcyon. The pizza was cooked thoroughly with plenty of cheese.

We arrived at the restaurant at 8:15 at night and asked for a pizza we were informed that the kitchen was closed although they close at 9 PM and all they had left was three slices of pizza. While we were checking out I noticed that there was only two slices of pizza that were rung up and when I questioned him he let me know that the cheese wasn’t ‘viable’ as he stated. We proceeded to check out with just our two pieces of pizza and two drinks for $30 and then continued to watch them clean up and leave before the restaurant was even closed and walk out all with pizza in their hand that they were so called out of. Here’s your picture of your closed restaurant before it’s even time to be closed.

Google
Pretty amazing pizza. We went some standard cheese slices to establish a base line of what we were gonna be getting into and we have to say they were fantastic. The design and branding of the place are phenomenal, something that doesn't really affect the food but it is very appreciated too see such attention to detail. You go in with the expectation of being some food court pizza but then your head gets blown straight off your body. Highly recommend !!!

My daughter and I would frequent Home Slice often since we live in the neighborhood. After the past two experiences I have to say the customer service is extremely poor and the quality of the pizza is way too inconsistent for our liking. I tried to give it a multiple chances but this last time was the same extremely poor service and subpar pizza.

Yelp
HORRIBLE ! This is my second time ordering a child's pepperoni slice for my daughter at halcyon. The first time someone " accidentally " took the wrong order, this time the gentleman advised me the other young men making the pizza accidentally forgot. I will never order here again - the service is rated zero - one star is so this post will not be hidden and because the name is cute. Hopefully the owner realizes they need to establish some structure and customer service rules.

Yelp
I'm going to have to agree with my fellow Yelpers: Holmes is a solid 3 stars for me. Average pizza at best. I don't mind paying $8 a slice but it was a cold and bland slice that didn't leave me wanting more. I had to re-heat it and add some crushed pepper just to add some flavor and heat. I would re-visit if there weren't other options in the Halcyon food hall.

Ollie S.

Yelp
If you add additional toppings, like chicken, you'll see a very tiny amount added; less than one bite. Pizza would taste good if it toppings were added in proper proportion to the bread.

Yelp
Finally got to try one of the newest additions to Halcyon's food hall. Social distancing is enforced, masks aren't required but the staff all wore masks. They greeted me as soon as I approached the stall. I let them know I wanted a large pizza and asked for their recommendation between two flavors, Proper Zah and Punkrock. One of the staff members suggested I get half and half, so that's exactly what I did. I'm so glad I went with their recommendation. The Proper Zah is a traditional margherita pizza and the Punkrock was unique. It came with San Marzano, roasted garlic, chili, mozzarella, and cilantro. It was flavorful and had nice kick. Both were delicious and the dough had great consistency. Their large isn't as big as other local pizza restaurants in the area, but it was enough to feed my family of three. Will order from them again!

Yelp
My friend and I went to Halcyon on a Friday night hoping to eat at one of the restaurants, the wait times were insane so we ended up in the food hall. Holmes Slice was the only stall I hadn't tried yet, so I was excited to check it out. We both ordered a slice each. I got the Mexi-Cali and a Cuba Libre frozen cocktail. The drink was okay, but nothing special... wouldn't spend another $15 for it. The slice was $8 and with as big as it was, I'd say it wasn't a bad price. It was more than enough to fill me up, and I would've paid $15+ for a meal at any of the restaurants at Halcyon. I really loved the chorizo on the pizza I ordered, and it wasn't overly packed with chunks of toppings, which I liked. I ended up eating g the first bit of it with a fork and knife because it was super messy to pick up. Once I got closer to the crust it was easier to pick up and eat. Overall, pizza slice was tasty and I didn't find the price to be outrageous. The drink however, was super expensive and not that great.

Ryan P.

Yelp
Been here a few times. It's not anything great. The cheese may be good on the pizza, but the dough is either burnt or it tastes as though it's been frozen, thawed, frozen, then thawed and used. I gave it two stars because the staff have been responsive to the issues. It's simply the quality that's the issue. I have to agree with a previous reviewer that the pizza has a similar taste to Costco's pizza, but it's not as good. Bottom-line: Hard Pass. Just go to another pizza place or find something else to eat at Halcyon.

Alexander W.

Yelp
The pizza is basic, yet the kids loved it. The slices are a nice size, for the kids I requested each slice cut in half (gives the illusion they are getting two slices lol). The slices were extremely greecy, to the point the cheese was sliding off as the kids were trying to eat it ... not good! They ended up just picking off the cheese, then eating the crust, kids! As an adult this would be a 2 star easy, but being the kids liked it, I upgraded to 3. I suggest they cook the pizza to be less oily. Skip it if you like quality pizza.

Matthew D.

Yelp
Pretty average pizza overall but very high prices. The sauce and the toppings tasted decent but the dough is floppy and tastes almost like it's half-baked. It's about 7 dollars for a slice, which is criminal, considering Costco pizza is better than this. If the pizza was 3 dollars for a slice, I prob wouldn't spend the time to leave a review. Would not recommend this.

Greg H.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place even though their reviews weren't that great. Unfortunately it matches up with the reviews. The pizza even though I felt the ingredients were fresh was very Dowie and oily and super floppy. I feel the place has so much promise, but doesn't seem like a lot of passion goes into their food. Also, the prices are astronomical. I had a 14 inch pizza with pepperoni and sausage diet Coke and water and it came out to $30

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Price basic things high and people will consider it luxury. That seems to be the idea many new food establishments are operating on recently. This is a perfect example of that kind of negligent attitude. The pizza was just normal, basic, unimpressive pizza, but the prices would have indicated otherwise. For slices over $7 and and pies over $20 in a food court, I'm expecting something good. But this wasn't it. The pizza was a little too greasy, the slices took longer to come out than you'd expect for pizza, the wings (admittedly) were tasty but still more expensive than a Taco Mac for example which already has decent wings, the customer service was fine but there's only so much you can do over the counter. Just overall I'm confused by the prices but I did choose to pay them so I guess the joke is on me. CT Taqueria right next door though is an A+. I'd go there.

Marissa D.

Yelp
The pizza was pretty good but over priced. The crust was kind of soggy and floppy on the bottom but had a nice flavor. The slices are big, and the toppings taste very fresh.

Frank D.

Yelp
OMG. Pizza was terrific but my server was a brain dead teen with headphones in that refused to actually look me in the eye or speak to me. Sorry. If I'm the owner I do not allow this. One star.

Jerry S.

Yelp
Well tried again and it's still missing the crust and flavor. Will pass and hope they can react to reviews. The Mexican and dumplings options in the food court are the best option at Halcyon food court.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Been here a few times, not sure why we keeping thinking it'll be better, but the pizza is really terrible and extremely overpriced. Like Costco pizza, only much worse

Sonjachardé M.

Yelp
Great pizza in the food court of Halcyon mall area. We got the Punk Rock pizza. It has 8 slices and was only $20 and comes with san Marzano tomatoes, roasted garlic, Calabrian chili, mozzarella and cilantro. The pizza was good! Not too greasy, not too flimsy and very flavorful with fresh ingredients and a nice durable yet soft crush. The cashier was very helpful in explaining the flavor notes and the spice level. The only qualm I have is that I added double chili and it still was not spicy - but that may be a personal issue bc I eat raw jalapeños as a snack :) I'd definitely order from here again!

Tony R.

Yelp
Taylor is the man! This cool dude owns Holmes slice and he's a fantastic host and restauranteur. Treated me to a shot of proper twelve and was very hospitable and overall awesome. Loved the pizza. Definitely the place to eat at if you're at Hacyclon in Cummings. 6 stars for this all star staff. Will be back for sure.

Dan D.

Yelp
Tried Holmes Slice today. We got a large cheese. Pretty basic. Sorry to say but it was really bad. Basically no sauce and very little cheese. If you couple that with a burnt bottom you get a really bad tasting pizza. I have to say that for $20 I would have much preferred anything else, even Little Caesar's. You guys need to step up you game or, I hate to say it, you won't be around long. We were really excited to try it too.

Michael M.

Yelp
WHAT A JOKE! WAAAY TOO OVERPRICED. BORING PIZZA. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!! One slice is $7. Large pie is $20 and it's only 14". After the sticker shock, you wait a few minutes for one of the lousiest slices of pizza in town. This is barely as good as Dominos. The crust is soft and almost fluffy. It's just lame. This pizza is borderline NOT GOOD. I'm honestly really disappointed and slightly annoyed. I was expecting so much more. They claim they are wood fired pizza but it's way to soft and moist for that. This is NO Antico. I would avoid Holmes Slice at all cost. It's not worth it.

Geremy P.

Yelp
First time here, the general manager was super helpful and the guys in the front of the house were beyond nice. We got 2 different pies the margarita and the Italian job. The margarita was exactly what you want if you want a simple ingredient pizza with lots of quality in the pie. The crust was thin and I loved the taste of it. The Italian job was definitely my favorite, mostly because I love pesto and let me say even if you only get a slice this is the one to choose. The beer they have on tap is high quality and who ever brews it for them knows what people want in a great beer. When you come to this outdoor mall you may have a lot of choices to eat but for a simple slice and beer there is no other choice but here.

Mike S.

Yelp
The people were nice. That's what I have to say good about the place. The pizza itself was not very good and expensive. Bottom was so burnt it was bitter. It was also very floppy and very greasy. If you are desperate for pizza then it does qualify as such but there are too many other places to even approach recommending this place. Try Vincenza's not too far up the road which is excellent.

AJ R.

Yelp
It was delicious pizza!! Thin sliced pizza can easily be too hard and over cooked but they made it perfectly! I got the Italian Job which reminded me a lot of pizza from Antico, which is a good thing. My wife loved the White Widow pizza! One slice was not enough so we got 2 slices per person which was just right.

Brian C.

Yelp
I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and was disappointed by both the serving size, quality and particularly the value. First and last time.

Fatima S.

Yelp
The hot sriracha wings were actually pretty good here. Good size and made fresh to order - though I did knock out a star due to that. Took a very long time, at least 20-25 minutes of waiting which I think should have been informed ahead of time. Prices are pretty steep for just 6 wings at $10, but this is Alpharetta so I shouldn't be surprised.

Annie J.

Yelp
Very disappointed. Ordered online and was told to pick it up at a certain time. When I arrived they said it would be another 10 minutes. When I received my pie it was burnt on the top and not cooked on the bottom so when I got home I had to put it in a skillet to cook the bottom. Being from NJ/NY the pizza was a huge disappointment.

Devin F.

Yelp
Extremely Mediocre. Paid 33$ for a medium Italian and it tastes like nothing. Crust was burnt and just overall bland as could be. Wouldn't recommend

Savant L.

Yelp
The staff was super pleasant. The food was great. I have been there twice for a slice during lunch. The owner is a skateboarder and that earns my support, before even tasting. I can't wait to try the other location and sit down for pie with friends. I prefer this ZA, to many other local places.

Sevde U.

Yelp
We had kids slices and they were huge but we didn't like the taste of the pizza. They were quick and clean. We like the way theh serve

James B.

Yelp
On 07/29/21, ordered a half cheese and half supreme for my family and I. The pizza was burned. One of the guys behind the counter said it was "wood fired oven" cooked at a high temperature. I looked at another customers pizza and it did not look burned like mine. He knew it was burned, but did not want to refund it. We trashed the entire pizza. Needless to say, we will not return.

J G.

Yelp
OMG!!!! This place is a TOTAL ripoff. And first please don't blame covid....this is just greed. This review is about their pricing tactic as it relates to what you get for your money. I had heard Halcyon's food court was "pricey". All good and understandable for the complex in general. But this was ridiculous. I ran with it and paid the bill but lesson learned. Shame of it is now i am less likely to go back to that food court so all vendors will unfortunately suffer. Two slices with sausage topping and can of coke. With tip (because those guys working need their cash honestly)....$26!!!! Sausage topping for 2 slices was $6!!!!! I effectively paid $11 PER slice! Like i said lesson learned

Jason M.

Yelp
I've been looking forward to the pizza place opening up in the Halcyon for a while, but was disappointed when I tried it out last night. A slice was $8, and the portion was so tiny. The cashier said a whole pie ($22) was 8 slices, but the slice option was really a portion of about 2 slices, so 1/4 of the pizza. You can see the picture below. Tasted fine, but definitely didn't leave me full. The theme of the restaurant is cool, but I think this will be a one time visit.

Arpita S.

Yelp
I got the pepperoni slice and my brother got the proper zah. Great pizzas! Wood fired, soft crust, Lots of super yummy garlic base sauce. The pepperoni was a little too oily but the proper zah was phenomenal! At first we thought 7$ was a bit too much for a slice of pizza but there were actually two slices in the box and it was quite filling, so worth the price.

Jillian M.

Yelp
I'm surprised to see such low reviews. This place serves wood fired pizza which is always better than regular oven pizza. We had a regular cheese, and I felt the sauce was very flavorful. The guys who helped us with our order were really very nice. I would recommend this place if you're visiting Halcyon and want a quick bite.

Skip G.

Yelp
Fair at best. The sauce had no character to it whatsoever and was overly sweet. The dough was too thick and did not come across as a Neapolitan pizza at all. Put that together with a $29 bill for two slices and a beer and I think I'll take my future business elsewhere.

Em K.

Yelp
Wow, like the others I was excited to try this place and I'm not hard to please, but this pizza was...bad. Don't know how else to say it. Ordered a cheese slice. First, $7.54+$1.00 tip - $8.54 for one slice?! It was burnt (look at all the other pictures), and I know wood oven pizza. There is a difference between some char and flat out burnt. This was burnt. I had asked for more cheese, less sauce. Result? Typical sauce, barely any cheese. I threw it out after one bite (it didn't even look good). Sad to waste money like that. The other pictures of burnt pizza and/or plain pies with no cheese are spot-on. I would rather have Dominos, Pizza Hut, Your Pie, etc.

Cole S.

Yelp
Just bad pizza, overpriced too. The pizza is flavorless and with options like antico just down the street it'll be hard for them to stay open

Ryan P.

Yelp
Awesome addition to the Halcyon food hall! If you're looking for basic, mass-market pizza, this is NOT it. And thank goodness for that! Pizza was loaded with toppings. The different styles available were interesting and unique. I loved the Italian and cali-mexican pizzas. Definitely over-ordered on my first visit, but I'm not complaining! I'm a big fan of their flagship Restaurant Holmes in Alpharetta. Now I have more options for eating their amazing food!

Kellen K.

Yelp
Glad to have a new upscale pizza spot in the neighborhood. Been waiting for this spot for a while. It helps balance out the food court at Halcyon, and has sort of an old school Mall storefront while also being modern. Anyways, the pizza I tried was good! You can get a slice for $7-$8 which is about a quarter of a large pie. The larges are roughly $21-23$. It is def more economical to get the large, but if you want a quick bite as I did today, then I think $8 for two slices (even though positioned as one slice) of "specialty" pizza is good value. Excited to try a different pizza next time! Curious to see how this place does in coming months.

Jeff G.

Yelp
Last night, our pizza was burned so much, an ashy taste from the bottom of the crust dominated over every other taste. Meanwhile, the top of the pizza was somehow soggy. Our friends had the same exact experience with a different-flavor pizza. They advertise "proper pizza" in a wood-fired oven. Well, my guess is: the owner bought the right equipment, but the high-school kids running it don't have a vested interest.

M B.

Yelp
Nice place for a quick slice. Foldable eats. Good patio-side atmosphere. Neopolitan-style pizza. Is it better than Antico an exit away? Imo no, but still hit the spot.

Charlotte M.

Yelp
This place has the best pizza and drinks! The Italian Job is amazing. Great service and atmosphere

Jenn V.

Yelp
Pizza was great! I had the white widow and it was perfect! Their frozen drinks are awesome too!

B B.

Yelp
Cooks are not wearing masks or gloves which is a CDC violation. Pizza is good here but not comfortable with masks and gloves not being worn with people cooking in the kitchen. I didn't eat here because I saw the cook sneeze and I had to walk away. The single slice of pizza is overpriced at $7 for cheese.

Mykier A.

Yelp
Next level pizza customer service and environment! Homeslice is my new favorite spot to get proper wood fire pizza!

Maggie W.

Yelp
We stopped in a few days after opening and were really impressed. We had a group of 7 so we split a few different pizzas. I like the dakine best, it was salty and sweet with pillowy soft dough. This pizza was the closest I've had to true Naples pizza in the states. The kids loved the cheese too! The drinks were awesome too, make sure you try their version of frose! The atmosphere is fun and great that the kids can run around outside while adults enjoy the meal. We had a great evening and highly recommend a visit.
