"Holy Cow is a casual spot recognized for its creative menu. While their Impossible burger is well-known, the spicy chicken slider with seasoned fries is a standout for many guests." - Suzie Maez

Google
Waited for 20 minutes breathing paint in the store just to learn that they don’t have the burger I ordered and they can’t give me my money back. After spending $24 and waiting for 30 minutes total, I got this shitty looking burger and four tiny chicken tenders. $24 dollars and 30 minutes wait for THAT!?!?!? And they refused to give a refund. Unbelievable.

Google
The sides were better than the main. The fries are amazing. The drink in the picture is pretty good as well. The onion rings are decent. The chicken sandwich was mid. Overall pretty decent food for the price.

Google
I ordered the chicken tenders and cheese fries. Everything was crispy too perfection and the chicken was very tender and good quality. The personalized service was also a breath of fresh air. Will definitely come back for more.

Google
I love this place!!!! Such a fun vibe and the food is the best fast casual you will find. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had and the burger is the 10/10. Go here on Thursday for for their throwback Thursday menu!

Google
Despite the good quality of the food, my experience here was far from positive. I had to wait over an hour for a 2 burgers and a NY Cheesesteak order — something completely unacceptable for a fast food place. To make things worse, when my order finally arrived, it was wrong. No sides in it, but I was so tired to wait here that I didn't want to wait a minute more. It feeling that customer satisfaction is not really a priority here. The staff seemed disorganized and unprofessional, and the overall service left much to be desired. If you're craving a good burger and have plenty of time to waste, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Google
The burger was kinda flavorful, but i asked for a 'lettuce wrap' which i was charged 2 dollars extra, how is that possible! I bet the lettuce is cheaper than the bread, anyways the holy sauce was really good, but I'm sticking to FIVE GUYS, consistant service and unlimited toppings with no extra charge and the lettuce wrap option as default in their menu:), i hope corporate see this and take action, thanks !!

Google
Holy cow! Holy Cow is not fast food: because it is neither fast nor food. Waited what felt an eternity just to get the "chicken" nuggets, and when I finally received it I was thoroughly underwhelmed-- chicken was as salty as the sea, unevenly breaded, and as rubbery as a bouncy ball. Never coming back to this place.

Google
I had a wonderful dining experience at Holy Cow. The food was absolutely delicious, served fresh, hot, and incredibly quickly. The staff were exceptionally kind and polite, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear they take pride in both their food and service. I left feeling full and completely satisfied. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and excellent service!

Yelp
Love the burger here. I recommend anyone looking for a good burger spot around this area.

Yelp
So happy to have a halal spot downtown. Ordered a chicken club with bacon and it was delicious and made fresh. Would have loved to try a milkshake!

Yelp
Great late night eat spot. Nothing outstanding but will definitely do the job. Fries are really good and portions are generous. Decent chopped cheese. There was a homeless man who came in toward the end of our visit that kinda harassed us (wish staff had stepped in or something) but it wasn't anything too crazy and we left pretty shortly after it started.

Yelp
the sandwich was good, great portion for one person at a good price. The sandwich is smaller than i original thought but can't beat this price, 2 sandwich, fries and a soda. look forward to trying other things in the menu soon.

Yelp
Had a chance to try Holy Cow and tried some options. I went for the beef burger and grilled chicken tenders. The burger itself was dry, even with cheese. The chicken tenders were well seasoned and I enjoyed them. I'd definitely get them again.

Yelp
There is a few seating indoors with nice heat and bar seating. Service was pretty quick. We ordered holy platter: chicken sandwich, holy burger, chicken tenders and fries. Pickles and peppers on the side were nice after we asked. The chicken was super tender and juicy while still maintaining crisp, almost burnt spice breading. Not too salty. Very different than any other chicken I've had. Pleasantly surprised with the taste but disapointed with the smaller than expected size. Also less than expected number of tenders. Butger was pretty good, bun super buttery. Again, smaller than expected but what can you expect for $30. Overall pretty good I would come again for the chicken deals or lamb burger.

Yelp
Fresh halal food, service w a smile, really clean big AC sitting area Prices are excellent, lots of specials bagels hand rolled.. Lunch specials !! 2 cheeseburgers / best fries $7 and change

Yelp
I really liked what I have been served at Holy Cow. I have tried their burgers, chicken, and fries, etc., and I especially enjoyed the size of the portions. They serve smaller sized meals, which I prefer. In addition, the prices are extremely reasonable. I have had lot of their offerings over the last several weeks, but last week I discovered their hot dogs, which I think are pretty perfect. With EVERYTHING! The staff is extremely personable, and aside from the food, staff, and prices, the best thing is that they're open until something like 1:30 in the morning! Where do you find that nowadays?
google avatar

Apolonia E.

Yelp
I order from here because I was craving a burger on my lunch break . Their exceptional burger truly hit the spot, featuring a juicy patty, fresh toppings, and a perfectly toasted bun. However, while their fries were decent, we found them slightly soggy, though still enjoyable.

Yelp
Ur one at the till was a complete weapon. Had to sit through an argument between her and sone builder she shafted while eating my shite burger.

Ethan M.

Yelp
This place smells like SHIT. Regardless I go in often when I want a hotdog but I stand outside while they make

Joy G.

Yelp
The service was extremely slow and I was unfortunately in a rush. I saw through the kitchen that the lady who made my food stuck her bare hands into my food container to take off extra toppings that I requested not to have in my order. Needless to say I was disgusted! Threw it out as soon as I left.

Yelp
Amazing chopped cheese. I ordered a chopped cheese sandwich plus grilled chicken sandwich plus fries, onion rings, and sweet potato tater tots, and everything was absolutely delicious. It's a place with about four tables and around the corner from the F train East Broadway. I really enjoyed my chopped cheese sandwich. it was very flavorful and it was huge. I got it on a hero and I was able to save 1/2 the sandwich For dinner. The onion rings were massive and very crispy and my kids enjoyed it. They do have ice cream, but I didn't order it.

Mohammed A.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. The cashier at this location did not accommodate our request to cancel an incorrect order. She was unprofessional and rude. The manager also refused to assist with this issue.
google avatar

Yelp
I had to update this review since the service is friendly and quick. The burgers are some of my favorites and the fries are delicious

Navila N.

Yelp
Good service and fast preparation. However, the sliders were so small compared to the pictures from the reviews. Although I can overlook the size, I cannot overlook the bland taste, dryness, and bitterness of the sliders. I had a friend who cannot handle spicy (I ordered spicy sliders) and they mentioned that there was no spice. The fries were the best part of the order. The sauce was alright.

Yelp
Great random hole in the wall. The classic single was not enough meat, next time I'd try the double or the holy. The fried chicken sandwich was two tenders in a sandwich, not an actual patty but it was peppery and tasty. The fries were great (free with Yelp check in!) with a crunchy coating kind of like Burger King. Really nice and crisp. Nice quick eat for the area.

Yelp
Small little shop. Let's start with service, 5/5. Friendly guys work here, they cook pretty fast and it's the type of establishment where they'd typically end sentences with "my friend", I hear this very often in NYC I must be everyone's friend. We were having a cheat day at the office as we usually do everyday, so we got some greasy smashburgers. This place had me questioning if I really liked smashed burgers. I had their signature holy burger and some freedom fries. The burger was actually kind of dry and lacking flavor 2/5. The fries were delicious 5/5, I don't know what ketchup they use but they suck. My coworker had a double classic burger, he also felt it was a bit dry. The overall vibe this place gives me is that this is like an elevated version of those ghetto kennedy's fried chicken places that happen to make burgers and pizza also. This is like their shake shack. Yes
google avatar

Dharika S.

Yelp
They only had a vegan impossible burger and fries for options. I dont like impossible burgers so i just got the fries, they were good- hot and crispy. The staff was really nice, space was small. Dont really have much more to share!

Yelp
I've heard good things about Holy Cow, so my partner and I decided to swing by when we were in the area. Prices were very reasonable, so we got more food than originally planned! The sliders were decent and at $16 for 6, it's a solid deal! Out of the 2, I preferred the chicken (was quite juicy and had a bit of spice). We got the small fry which ended up being a larger portion than we anticipated (never a bad thing when it comes to fries). They have an interesting seasoning on them where they were slightly sweet. Very different from other spots, a pleasant surprise for me but may not be for everyone. We also got the onion rings which had a bit too much breading. The sauce that came with it was good (ended up dipping my fries in there too). We didn't get a milkshake, but saw a few others inside with milkshakes and they looked really good. They use Van Leeuwen ice cream. Definitely seems a little more of a takeout place, with only a few tables for seating inside, but glad we dropped by!

Lia D.

Yelp
1. They're chicken sliders used to be so delicious, I ordered today and it looks like they took a chicken tender and cut it in half. 4/4 people did not enjoy the sandwich it was too dry and unseasoned. The burger sliders are the same 2. Why have a phone number if you're going to ignore the phone ringing

Robbie G.

Yelp
Delicious food and amazing staff. Really seems like they put pride into what they do. Thanks for the great burger!

Yelp
Friendly ambiance and service. So far I've tried their Holy Burger, sliders, fries, onion rings and all have been good. Would recommend and will be coming back for other quick bites.

Yelp
"Holy Dog" from Holy Cow is full of flavor with a variety of toppings such as mustard, onion, relish, peri peri sauce, etc. $3.50 for a single and $6.50 for a double. It was well cooked and gets a 9/10! Definitely worth a try! Follow our insta: @nyc.halal for more halal food reviews!!

Yelp
HOLY COW!!! (pun intended) I discovered Holy Cow last week and have already been there twice. I am gluten-free by necessity. I don't eat out often because I am sick of paying a premium because I have to eat GF. The upcharges have worked my last nerve, so I cook at home a lot. Getting a quick meal at a fast food restaurant is a distant memory...unless it's a salad or a ground beef patty wrapped in lettuce (really?). My HC order of GF Fried Chicken Sandwich and Medium Fries was picked up for me and was still hot piping when I got it. I bit into the sandwich and felt my eyes cross. It wasn't just crunchy, but the flavor was sweet, tart, and savory at the same time. About halfway through the sandwich, I realized the bun didn't look like or have the 'typical' texture or taste of a GF bun. At this point, I could only pray that I didn't get sick because I knew I was going to eat the whole sandwich. The chicken fingers were crisp and the breading didn't separate from the juicy chicken breast. (I regretted giving my son a piece to taste.) And the fries? Geeze Louize. Scrumptious. The "medium" size was humongous. After being in the fridge overnight, about 4 minutes in the air fryer made them taste like they were fresh from the restaurant. I picked up my 2nd order at the store myself and found the people working there friendly, appreciative, and accommodating. The space was clean and minimal and had a creative mural on the wall. I wouldn't mind eating there at all. Also, I was so glad to see their GF menu clearly on display both online and in the restaurant. I didn't have to search for or ask for it. Aside from The Company Cafe (https://www.instagram.com/companycafe), Holy Cow is the only restaurant I know of where I can enjoy much of the delicious food I could prior to becoming GF without paying through the "you-know-what"... Welcome to Texas, Holy Cow! I'm glad your first Lone Star State location landed close to my home. Yeah...I'll see you again soon.

Yelp
Literally the worst food I've ever eaten it's not good quality food at all . If it's late and you need food your better off getting beef or chicken from the super market what their selling isn't real meat.

Yelp
If you couldn't tell, the name is appropriate. When these burgers came out, my reaction was "HOLY COW!" Here's what we ordered: ~Two double holy burgers with beef bacon, egg, and holy sauce (The burgers were huge, juicy, and oh so cheesy!! The bun was toasted to perfection. I seriously can't wait to go back and get another burger.) ~Cheese fries (Also INSANELY cheesy and crave-worthy!) ~Sweet potato tots ~Corn dog covered in panko (the beef hot dog was full of flavor and the crispy outside was too die for) ~Holy chicken sandwich with peri peri sauce If you love a good burger, you need to try out Holy Cow!!! The restaurant is halal also!! Halal or not, these burgers are a must-have for any burger lovers out there. I seriously can't wait to go back and have another mouthwatering burger.

Andrew S.

Yelp
The food was awesome. I had both the onion rings and french fries. They were not greasy at all, but really delicious. They also offered some interesting sauces. This Holy Cow on 14th Street and Avenue B is a gift to the local community. It was easy to order and the staff was really attentive and professional. The Holy Burger was delicious, and the manager came out to speak to me about the quality of the beef they use. I will be trying their vegan offerings on my next trip, and was happy to see that they also offer gluten free buns for their hamburgers. The chicken offerings look delicious as well, and another customer next to me was having the grilled chicken and told me that it was really good. I am very happy to have this option in our neighborhood. Yay!!!

Rob C.

Yelp
Really disappointed with the quality of the food, burger seemed like it was just frozen (bubba burger quality) low quality lettuce, tomato and bun, sauce was pretty solid though. First time coming here, won't be coming back, you're better off getting a chopped cheese at the local deli. Got their Holy Cow burger, was about $13 after tax

Yelp
I personally feel that the quality of the food went down. I recently went to try the new halal Panko breaded corn dogs. And in the most respectful way, this was just not well designed or prepared. First, I feel that it wasn't fried hot or long enough because the batter was still wet and it held a lot of oil. Second, the hot dog is cut up in pieces in the inside. And finally, it's all held in a stick similar to a popsicle stick. So with all these factors the whole thing kind of just fell apart instead of being held together. And taste wise it was not great cause it was undercooked. I feel that they have a great idea and it's awesome to see an establishment try to make a popular food item accessible to halal eaters. However, they need to approach their recipe and assembly again. The fries are still really good.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Burgers are pretty good and bonus that they use halal meat. The burgers are a bit on the small side, though, and they are not as juicy nor oily as other burger places. I really like the buns. They hold up well and are a bit chewy.
google avatar

Lien L.

Yelp
A tiny place that serves delicious fast food meals that are halal compliant. You can miss the venue pretty easily so keep your eyes peeled. Went here for lunch- lunch specials until 4pm. It's two beef sliders, two fried chicken sliders or one of each with small fries for 7.50. They make it to order to be prepared to wait 5-10 min if you go off peak hour. During peak it would be wise to order in advance or be prepared to wait. Food is tasty and fresh. Fries are seasoned well with paprika. Def will be back for some quick bites.
google avatar

Shakir L.

Yelp
Went wanting a Holy Dog for a midnight snack but they were out. Had a Holy Burger and seasoned fries instead. Lucky me.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for a quick bite! Recommend the onion rings and the sliders and the fries!
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
Had the smash burger and the small fries. The fries were a good size they were very crispy. They gave me good amount of sauces. The burgers was only average found the meat to be small and plain. Did not like the texture of bun. The staff didn't allow me to stay in and eat it.

Andrea B.

Yelp
The service is prompt and the meal is wonderful. The woman behind the counter is really kind in attending to the needs of the patrons.

Huma A.

Yelp
Good food, quick service. No ambiance so not a sit down place really, more of a quick grab n go.

Stephen M.

Yelp
WOW. This place has a true HOLY BURGER. Unmatched and definitely set apart. A very special experience to say the least. Easily one of the best burger joints I've ever been to.
google avatar

Calvin H.

Yelp
The burger and shake is good. Burger was nice and juicy. The shake is made with van leeuwen ice cream. I'd pass on their popcorn chicken. It was on the dry side but it's because they use white meat. Food came out quickly. Very little interaction with the staff. Ordered from a kiosk and the staff was in the kitchen area the whole time before they came out with the food.
google avatar

Fateha A.

Yelp
Small place, wish they had a bathroom for customers. Anyway, I got chopped cheese & my cousin got holy chicken. Both were so good! The chopped cheese was perfect, not too salty. They do charge extra for add-one tho ($1 for pickles). The holy chicken was spicy but so damn good thanks to the peri-peri mayo. The chicken was juicy & not dry or over cooked like many places. I had their burger once (prolly classic burger) & I didn't like it. It was too dry & just tasted plain. It lacked flavor. Came in for the bacon cheese fries but they were outta bacon.
google avatar

Yelp
Two days in a row to the new Holy Cow in Mount Vernon. Once with my son and today with my wife. Food was excellent and service with a smile. What a great addition to the neighborhood.
google avatar

Madina M.

Yelp
Best burgers you will ever have!!! Must try! Service is quick and it's got the vibe any burger joint would give you. Sauces are great and the patties are juicy, the produce is always fresh and the bacon strips just make the burgers that much more mouth watering! Best plus is that it's halal!
google avatar

Tasnia A.

Yelp
Holy Cow has come such a long way! From their first ever location in Midtown, they moved and now have locations in Elmont & the LES. They are always adding new items to the menu. The Holy Chick still has to be my favorite. Their newest additions are panko breaded corndogs & mozz dogs and sesame honey garlic sliders- soo good!

Fredo C.

Yelp
Good food. Service was great. Good location. The sliders where amazing and full-filling
google avatar

J J.

Yelp
My review is solely for their fried onion rings, sweet potato tots, and quality of service. First off, service definitely could have been friendlier. Now for the food, completely avoid their fried foods, because it's loaded in grease. We didn't do ourselves any favors after digesting the greasy items. The onion rings were completely over fried and burnt dry. I believe sweet potatoes tots just don't fry crisp (after this add'l tryout) and become a soggy dish of absorbed grease for consumption. Perhaps they should filter their oil regularly and do better with their fried appetizers.

Boba B.

Yelp
Great fried chicken sandwich, good sauces, and crispy fries and onion rings. Only bad thing was last time I went they were doing graffiti on the wall tiles and didn't let anyone dine in. I had to go to the park across the street but that was honestly better.
google avatar

Elaine M.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for dinner and were very pleasantly surprised by the cute little hole in the wall we found. The servers are super sweet and if you check in here you get a free side of fries, which was a big bonus. What did annoy me a little was how long it took the food to come out, especially since there weren't many people in the restaurant. The friendly service and delicious food made up for the wait, for the most part. Food: Holy Burger (4/5) - The patty and special sauce were sublime. I really enjoyed the juicy flavor of the beef, since it was a combination of 3 types of meats. The only reason this gets a 4/5 is because the burger bun was weirdly tough and hard to bite into. In fact, it was hard for me to finish the last bits of the burger because the bread was unforgiving. Impossible Burger (5/5) - My friend loved her impossible burger, and said it might be one of the best she's had so far. This place is super vegetarian friendly! Fries (4/5) - The fries were amazingly crispy and had a nice hash brown texture to them. I wish they were a bit more seasoned, as that was what was promised but we only got a little bit of salt. The portion was generous though and neither my friend nor I could finish our servings!
