By lili: the popsicles were great and had a variety of flavors, including non-dairy ones (goodfor people with dairyallergy). I would personally recommend the strawberry cheesecake. I wish it had more seats (it has no indoor seats).

Google
Incredible ice cream popsicles at Holy Paleta! We had the cinnamon toast horchata and Cookie Monster popsicles and the flavors were so good, surprised there aren’t many more stores. Nice little shop with a friendly and quick staff. Definitely recommend, one of the best popsicles I ever had!

Google
It takes about 1-2 hours minimum to get a chance to order. One person working the entire time? Really?

Google
Such a sweet treat! Customize your own ice cream bar starting with the base flavor which can range from sweet&fruity to tart & spicy. Then choose your dip or drizzled of chocolate & Finally the toppings 😍 Mine was the strawberry cheesecake bar with the milk chocolate drizzle, mazapan crumble, cinnamon toast crunch and finally tied it all together with a caramel drizzle it was sooo AMAZING 👏😋

Google
Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇲 We decided to get something different so we ended up here at Holy Paleta. Such a cute name. The Paleta here comes with whatever chocolate u want and various toppings. You can have nondairy or with dairy. They have a few ice cream flavors with various waffle cones. And it has mire So we chose strawberry cheesecake with half dark chocolate. Simple, sweet treat! 😁😋 Simple note that there's no place to eat.So your order is to go. But the people were nice and there was a steady stream of customers.

Google
Came here after a long long day of walking at the zoo. Good choice near the motel we're staying at. My fiance and I both had floats. I went with the Hawaiian float cause I have a more sophisticated palette. It was delicious, the staff was friendly. If you're in the area stop by and enjoy.

Google
This place has delicious paletas of a variety of flavors. You can put extra toppings. It is a bit on the pricy side but well worth it!

Jennifer Canter

Google
Wow, this place is a fantastic little spot for dessert! As soon as we walked in, the aesthetic was very pleasing and the paletas look and taste delicious! They offer so many customizable options, you are sure to find something you like here!

Yelp
Hidden Gem in Bonita! I lived in San Diego in 2020- military brought us here and I yelped a bunch of places, this one being on my list but never wanting to go because I thought it was only in the city area. Military moves us back to SD and find this Bonita location, which I'm so happy! In my opinion the hype is real. The flavors are spot on for the flavors we've tried: pistachio , Mexican hot chocolate, mazapan ice cream, tre leches.. I will say the Dubai chocolate bar ice cream is looks wise hype but the flavor doesn't remind me of the chocolate bar. It's really heavy and the crunchies inside get chewy and soft. They should just add the crunchies on top and drizzle the pistachio cream that would really make it good! It's a small shop, some chairs outside . But a great after dinner treat! Or even after school! Would come back again, employees are nice as well!
google avatar

Yelp
Pricey once you add toppings. Two popsicles with toppings came out to ~17.00 You pick a flavor and they ask you if you want toppings. No crowds at 8pm. There's no where to sit inside, but there are three chairs outside with a view of the parking lot and intersection if you want to eat it here. I would skip the toppings next time. The popsicles are pretty delicious as is. Pistachio 1.00 Chamoy .50 Tajin .50 Chocolate 1.25 Coconut flakes 1.00

Yelp
I was super excited to try this spot when I was gifted a gift card! They have a good amount of yummy dessert options. I was especially happy to see that have many dairy free paletas as well! I decided to have a little cheat day and opted for a dairy-filled cookie butter Paleta with white chocolate drizzle. It was really good! I almost preferred the paleta without any drizzle; I will most likely just get it by itself next time. The bar had a nice hard exterior, so it didn't melt quickly at all. I definitely want to try more flavors, especially the dairy free ones!

Yelp
They make my favorite Paleta - hands down. The icecream is delicious. That's the very good part. Now to the not so good. Depending on who is making the paleta, the end product is inconsistent. I've added photos so you can see the exact same order on 3 occasions. They overdo the fabuloso. It would be nice to smell the toppings or the icecream once in a while. Sometimes the scent of cleaner is so overpowering I cannot go in or I need to mask up. I've told them this in person several times, while trying not to offend them. How the workers can tolerate it, I don't know? Price has increased over the last two years (like everywhere) but be prepared to spend $10 for a paleta dipped in chocolate with one topping. It's not an every week kind of purchase for the money, at least for me. I've taken paletas home for the freezer and they hold well, but they are $5 on average vs $2 for store bought. Its a nice treat to look forward to. They have another shop in Little Italy but I haven't tried there yet. I know about the Little Italy location because they arbitrarily close early at the Bonita location and when I asked about it, they mentioned Little Italy stays open later.

Yelp
I am so grateful for trying this place after having tacos with our friends. This place was so good and the perfect dessert after Taco Tuesday! My husband and I got a key lime paleta drizzled with dark chocolate and a concha ice cream sandwich. The concha ice cream sandwich was *chef's kiss* we've never had anything like it- the bread was warm which paired very well with the ice cream and other flavorings that were in it. We came on a Tuesday, so the service was fast. Props to the girl behind the counter; there was a party of 4 ahead of us and there was 6 of us as well. She was very fast not only making our paletas and concha ice cream sandwich, but our friend also ordered a Mexican chocolate float as well. It honestly looked like she was the only one behind the counter and I'm very impressed by her efficiency and fast service to all of us! This place is right next to us Taco Machin and it's a pretty small place. If I were to do an event, I would definitely hire Holy Paleta at an event for a birthday, wedding, bridal shower, etc. Eating at Holy Paleta was a perfect way to conclude the night with friends!

Yelp
Hmmm these paletas are sooo good. Up to you on whether or not it's worth the price! Definitely not a cheap dessert but it is infinitely customizable for a cost ;) and you get all your fav toppings and combos. They have a lot of choices to choose from!
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
The popsicles are alright and are very pricey. They need more places to sit and enjoy the popsicles because they obviously don't travel well.
google avatar

Eddie C.

Yelp
No line tonight so walked right in. There are times I see 5-6 outside waiting. Wife wanted their pallets so off we went. She had Horchata popsicle dipped in chocolate. It was very good. I had the cucumber and pineapple popsicle with tajin and chamoy. It was refreshing and would be so more on a hot afternoon. Could have done without the tajin. Will definitely return to try paletas with milk and dipped in chocolate.

Yelp
Not your basic paleta. So If you basic keep your basic self at home cause these paletas are absolutely over the top deliciousness! I ask myself why?! Why did I wait so long come here? Don't be like me and just try this place already! Had the choco banana today and it was like having chocolate abuelita with banana in it. I added a small drizzle of condensed Milk to it with nuts. Trust me get the toppings! They definitely do not skimp on the toppings and pour them on there as much as you like! Love that this place is right next to one of my favorite taco spots, Taco Machin. You can come to Holy Paleta right after tacos. Are you kidding me? Go, and you can thank me laters!
google avatar

Yelp
"The paletas here are some of the best in town--delicious and full of flavor! My only complaint is the price; $20 for three paletas feels quite steep."
google avatar

Myrna M.

Yelp
Loved this place there is such a big selection!! You dont know what to get they even have conchas!!!! Omgg Im in love!! And you can also add all the toppings you want!
google avatar

Lisa Y.

Yelp
Delicious and refreshing! They have such a variety of flavors. Highly recommend checking them out. This time I went with the blue vanilla and milk chocolate drizzle. My daughter asked to add sour gummy worms as the topping. We loved it! They have flavors like Taro, kiwi strawberry, dragonfruit etc!
google avatar

Bella A.

Yelp
This place was next to the taco shop we were at and saw it was busy and wanted to take a look. It did not disappoint. They had a good variety and what made it better was that you can add topping or dips. The girls were friendly and it was nice and clean

Megan E.

Yelp
We got the lavender lemonade, key lime, and I think it is called fruit and yogurt. I personally like the dairy based ones better. But no matter what flavor you get, it's going to be delicious.
google avatar

Dona S.

Yelp
Ugh love it here, there's such a wide range of flavor options to choose from in case you're goin for a fruity sweet or a chocolatey sugar sweet. The store is a bit small so all orders are take-out and it can be easy to miss when driving by so look hard lol My favorites so far are their cucumber and the Lavender lemonade
google avatar

Yelp
I love anything ube, They have a flavor called cookies and ube! Very good!!!!!! I will definitely be back!

Dean B.

Yelp
Definitely very generous with the dipping chocolate and topping. The flavor of the horchata paleta was next to nonexistent but it was still pretty sweet. Service was unfriendly. The person who was making my paleta was rushing me a bit and seemed like they'd rather be doing something else than working. After putting my topping on they hurriedly gave me my paleta without even looking or acknowledging me as if to get me out of the store asap. I was going to ask for another topping but I didn't ask anymore because of the unfriendliness. The cashier was pretty kind though.

Yelp
Who doesn't have paleta cravings here and there? But good thing it hit me after a taco feast, so I was seeking something small for a sweet aftertaste to last til dinner. When I saw the price, I was shocked but curious to find out what's the hype behind the pricing. This clean and organized shop brings out an expansive variety of flavors that go from the typical ones like Strawberry Basil to delicious fusions. It seems there are seasonal batches and experimental ones like Matcha Horchata, and I figured no toppings is the best way to enjoy the authentic flavors. This artisan place comfortably serves a special crowd that doesn't mind the premium price. On a special occasion when I deserve it, I'll come back to try the other rare flavors!

Yelp
GO HERE! They have incredible flavours and the customer service (July 3, 2024) was amazing; they answered all of my family's questions and let us taste any flavour we wanted. The two employees were kind, patient, and more than happy to accommodate us. The shop itself is quite small and there aren't any tables outside apart from a couple of chairs. However, the exceptional customer service and the bevy of flavours to choose from do make up for it! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We went to try out Taco Machin and decided to stop by after since it looked popular even though the shop was tiny m. There were so many delicious looking choices and had a hard time choosing but went with banana stuffed with Nutella because that's my favorite crepe filling we also decided to get it half dipped with dark chocolate because why not? The girl helping us was very nice. The downside was that this thing was $6.25! I was not expecting that since the menu said each paleta was $3.50-4 so when she told me the totsl I was a bit shocked but no turning back. Other than the menu up top, I didn't see any prices listed so assumed it was somewhere in that menu range. I guess my bad for not asking but the menu said it... FYI the menu also didn't have soft serve or scooped ice cream prices but it was offered and they looked good. I was eyeing more Mexican flavors like pumpkin horchata but alas we went generic. The dip I knew was $0.75 extra but was not expecting the palette itself to be $5.50!! How was the taste you may ask? In my head I was thinking "this better be good". It was good but not amazing. I didn't realize when we say banana Nutella that it was stuffed with Nutella so I didn't get any Nutella flavor for a while. The banana flavor was also subtle so overall it just kinda tasted like a milk bar with a hint of banana. Then when I hit the Nutella that was quite creamy and good. The dark chocolate coating was good but not sure I'd add for an extra 75 cents next time. Call me a cheapo if you'd like but I pick where I spend ‍ Overall, glad I tried it but not sure it was enough to say I'd definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is amazing they have so many variations of ice cream. It cost a little more than most places, but you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
A perfect way to cool down on a hot day in Sun Diego ! I've previously gotten the strawberry cheesecake but decided to switch it up to the vanilla cajeta with 3 leches topping and do not regret it!! Employees were very knowledgeable and patient with my indecisiveness. Only thing is that there's not much place to sit and enjoy it hence the 4 stars

Yelp
Limon 10/10, Strawberry Kiwi 8/10, Cucumber Refresh 5/10 (would be good after a long sweaty jog or poolside to replenish salt). Oreo Concha 7/10 (only because I didn't grow up with these and just starting to like them. Def the best one I have had so far!)

David H.

Yelp
If you like paletas this is the place to go to. Great flavor and toppings . This trip went with yogurt and white chocolate drizzle ..just enough sweetness to compliment the paleta. Too many great flavors from mazapan to taro ..they have other location in little Italy ..try them out .
google avatar

Yelp
Finally made it to Holy Paleta and there were so many flavors that it was hard to choose. This time we ordered their tres leches float, spicy dole whip and strawberry mango paleta. Everything was amazingly delicious. All the fruit tasted fresh and the flavors went well together. Will definitely come back. For the 3 items with tip, we paid $33.05

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this spot yet! They have fantastic paleta's- such a wide variety that it can be hard to choose sometimes. They also have so many options for toppings. I love to try their seasonal options and there have been a few that I really miss. They also now have mini paletas that are the PERFECT size for a little treat. The service is great, and they have cute little stickers you can purchase at the front. They have a parking lot that can sometimes get a little tight, but it clears out pretty quickly. Go grab yourself some tacos, and then a paleta for dessert!

Yelp
I have been so excited to try this place. I got the great idea to purchase multiple varieties and offer them to employees of my work as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. In advance of the event, I had to do my due diligence and try them. I came on a Saturday with my mom and went crazy sampling nine varieties of paletas. My absolute favorite was the Chamango. It has the spicy bite of the chamoy with the sweetness of the mango. My second favorite was Berry Agave. It was so sweet and refreshingly delicious. The Pumpkin horchata was surprisingly great. I wouldn't think the two flavors would work but they complemented each other well. A perfect fall flavor. The raspberry lemonade was tart and light. Just what you imagine it would taste like. I was underwhelmed by the Tamarindo. I wish that it was more concentrated with tamarind flavor. When I found out that it was a summer flavor, I was disappointed. Guess I need to make sure I return in May or June to try it out when it is in season. Bella was very helpful and offered suggestions. I appreciated that she took the time to label each paleta so I knew what each one was before tasting them. Needless to say, the paletas were hit with my coworkers. I ordered the Pop & Go. I was able to pick up the paletas and have them remain cold for at least three hours. The insulated boxes made the event so easy. Would highly recommend.
google avatar

Bryan T.

Yelp
My wife enjoyed trying a Tamarindo popsicle from this place, this afternoon. She said it was a good sized popsicle. She thought the taste was very good.
google avatar

Erika L.

Yelp
wow this Ice cream place is so good! you choose your ice cream bar flavor, then they will add any extras on it that you want. SWEET!!!!place to sit inside so eat quickly outside before it melts! im definitely gain weight this summer.

Yelp
Need to disclose that they were hired for an event so these were free Paletas we got to enjoy. We got the mango and Strawberry Cheesecake. The cheesecake one was very good and tasted fresh, loved the strawberry in the middle along with the delicious graham cracker crumb bottom. The Mango was good as well and hit the spot. Because of their friendly service and very tasty paletas, we will be visiting this location soon.

Rosie V.

Yelp
Bad service. Girl serving was super rude. There was only one girl serving. And only three customers ahead of me and took a very long time to serve. I just had to walk out.
google avatar

Athina R.

Yelp
Consider me a regular! This place is amazing. There are so many options to choose from. My favorite is the strawberry cheesecake dipped in dark chocolate. Everything is always so clean and the staff is so kind. 100/10 recommend! Parking is a little tricky but there's a bigger plaza / lot right next to it!
google avatar

Jennica S.

Yelp
Paletas are my weakness, and Holy Paleta knows how to satisfy my sweet tooth. There are several paleta options here. Simple flavors such as strawberry and mango, to Asian-inspired flavors like matcha and taro/ube, Mexican-inspired flavors like chamango and horchata, and unique flavors such as strawberry cheesecake and key lime pie are some of the many examples that are offered. Also, that is just the flavor of the paleta. The fun part is adding all of the toppings to it! My go-to is one of their top sellers: S'MORES. I love the fact that they torch the marshmallows. I have also gotten their strawberry cheesecake paleta and I topped it with condensed milk and graham crackers. Honestly, just writing about it is making my mouth water. It is a fun dessert that you could make your own-- eat it by itself or add all the toppings (though that may be overwhelming!) Priced around $5-7, which is pretty standard at this point for specialty ice cream/the dessert industry, but well worth it for a customized creation that will make your taste buds happy. There is a small parking lot, and out of the (more than) handful of times, only once was there a line. Because of covid, they are only allowing one party in their establishment at a time because it is such a small space with no seating. Every single time I am working, the girls (I have never seen a male employee) are the sweetest! Great customer service.
google avatar

Yueming Q.

Yelp
Amazing paleta at Here. I tried their taro flavor before, it was incredible. And this time, I got their signature flavor which is yogurt fruit. Believe me, you have to try this, it is beyond your imagination. How is a popsicle able to be this delicious! They definitely worked hard on their recipes. It is truly a happiness to bite a yummy paleta in a sunny warm day.
google avatar

Melissa V.

Yelp
We have been to this location a few times. The paletas are always delicious and the workers are always fast and polite. It is a very small place and gets crowded very easily. I definitely wish there was seating available, but with the size I understand that would not work at all. Overall, I like their paletas and all the options to customize your desserts. We will continue to come back.

Adriana C.

Yelp
All they products are good my favorite is the yogurt and fruits paleta , costumer service is good but expensive
google avatar

Joanie T.

Yelp
I came here the other day with a friend and we both got the spicy pop popsicle. 2 of these was around $16.00 which is pretty pricey in my opinion. Theyre were good but I wish they didnt drizzled too much chamoy on it where it's like drenched on the pop and in the bowl/cup thing. Also, I wish there were some seating areas where we can enjoy our popsicles but there's only like 3 chairs out front so we ended up just sitting in our car. Definitely a lot of options for water based and milk based popsicles. Will definitely be back. :)
google avatar

Marisa M.

Yelp
This place is the best little spot everrrr for a quick in and out dessert:) I LOVE coming here and always being able to have a wide variety of paleta flavors to choose from.... Even better are the toppings you get to add on. I'm definitely coming back to this place for sure. YUMMM!!!! Enjoy my pics!!!
google avatar

Joyce D.

Yelp
So many choices. So many different pops to try. I first tried the Yogury with mixed fruits with a tuxedo and pistachio topping. They do not skimp on the pistachios and it's worth the price for the added topping. They have so many different pop flavors from fruity to dairy based. I loved the sunrise pop as it was a blend of watermelon and another fruit. Add the coconut flakes topping and it's a very tropical dessert. Line can get long on the weekends. We went after dinner time on a Saturday and probably waited around 25 minutes.
google avatar

Marta L.

Yelp
OMG the quality, the customer service, the cleanliness= TOP NOTCH They make handcrafted paletas with all natural ingredients. They open at noon. They also have mini paletas!!! They are located on the corner of Bonita Road and Allen Road, next to a fruit juice place. No official outside seating, but you can sit on the curb next to your car, or eat in your car. Idea= pack a cooler with lots of ice and take some to the beach or back to your house!

Yelp
I love this sweet little place! Living up North, all the little Paleta places are nowhere to be found really. The one I remember fondly as a kid was called the Oasis Ice Cream Parlor in the South Bay...I loved those strawberry cream bars so very much! Enter Holy Paleta. My niece and I just got done visiting our angels down the road and she was craving these frozen treats. It's a tiny spot and obviously a locals favorite as the line was literally out the door. I opted for a Strawberry Cheesecake Paleta dipped in Green Matcha White Chocolate. While I still love Oasis, these bars are much creamier and offer quite the variety of dips and toppings. It was delish! My niece got the Banana Nutella Version with Nutella drizzle while my purist co-habby opted for a plain Taro bar. None of us had complaints. Parking and seating is limited so keep that in mind. There was a small breakdancing event being held at the studio next door so we busied ourselves watching from outside the window while we ate our paletas. Great little spot for a cool summer treat!

Yelp
Nice people, fast service, took my sister here to treat herself on a tough day :) she loved her Oreo and churro mixed ice cream.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, how have I never heard of Holy Paleta before? We stopped here for my friend's birthday as the last stop of a day filled with her favorite places and I can understand why this is a favorite! It's a small shop, but there are so many options to choose from. I really debated on getting a second one, but had to restrain myself. There are milk based and water based options (as per my photos) along with different menu options that they've concocted for you. Once you select the base, you can get chocolate drizzled, dipped full, or half then add your toppings. I decided to keep it simple and went with the cookies n cream base and drizzled it with white chocolate and topped it with animal cookies. Soooo good! Service was very friendly and there were 15 of us and they were very patient as we made it through, with many of us being our first time there. Very reasonably priced and delicious! I live too far away to be here on a regular basis, but if they had one near me, I would be here every week. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Valerie T.

Yelp
Ok I have officially tried a handful and although I will always love the original fruit paletas as they are just always on point and perfect for these hot humid days. I will have to say though the creamy milk based ones have been an awesome surprise. The creaminess and multitude of flavors have been new to me. I absolutely loved the coffee stuffed with lechera!! Ohh man it was amazing. The cookies and taro I was only able to snag a bite from the munchkin but, it was o-so memorable and making me want much more. I can't wait to try the strawberry cheesecake recommended by the staff.
google avatar

Laura O.

Yelp
Im not much of an ice cream kind of gal but I really love the flavor options here. I think they taste really authentic and I really like how you can customize your toppings! I don't really like the bonita location because parking becomes a headache so I definitely recommend going to the DT location!
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Came here with a couple of friends one day and we were surprised to see how busy this place was! It's actually much smaller than the pictures make it seem, so the line went out the door. I was overwhelmed with the amount of flavors to choose from, but luckily there is a set menu that has popular flavors, making it easier to make a decision about what to get. I ordered the pop spicy on mango. It's basically chamango on a stick! The mango was nice and fresh, and I'm a lover of chamoy and tamarindo so this combo was perfect for me. It's just a little messy to eat. My other friend ordered the rainbow crunch, which was a fresh raspberry popsicle covered in fruity pebbles. Unfortunately, this one was a disappointing and the flavors did not complement each other. It might have been better to go with a different fruit base like strawberry. My only other critiques are not having anywhere to sit inside and outside, and parking could be an issue since this is located in a small plaza with few spots. Regardless, with the many different fruit flavors and unique combinations to choose from, I definitely want to come back. It's perfect to try, especially during summer!
google avatar

Erika M.

Yelp
This is a very small popsicle shop that gets very crowded. Lines out the door crowded. They have popsicle combinations you can choose from. They also have crafty popsicles made ready to go. The left side is fruity and the right side is milk based. You can build your own. First choose your popsicle, you can have it dipped or drizzled in white, milk and dark choc. Then You choose your toppings and then you can have an extra drizzle of condense milk, caramel, Nutella etc. I chose the already made s'mores then I built my own. I chose the fruit yogurt popsicle and I had it fully dipped in white choc and drizzled with milk choc after. I added Oreos and pistachios and then had it drizzled in condense milk. I know a little excessive. I recommend not doing what I did. If you get a picturesque popsicle like the fruit showing through, get it drizzled with chocolate and not fully dipped. And get one topping and that's all you need. I couldn't finish my popsicle it was so heavy and thick. It was delicious though and I love the concept.

Yelp
After having an early dinner with my girlfriends we decided on trying Holy Paleta for dessert. I had gone to a paleta shop with a super similar concept in Irvine and I was really excited that they had opened Holy Paleta in San Diego! There are a lot of really great options for popsicles, from sweet to savory, to start you choose a popsicle flavor of your choice, an option of chocolate dip and finally toppings! I chose a taro pop with a half dip of white chocolate and pieces of pistachios for my topping. If you're confused about what to get they do have section on their menu of their most popular combinations, I think it may have been my cashiers first couple of days, I have to remember these are kids and to cut them some slack. As soon as I paid for my paleta, at least 15 people formed a line behind my girlfriends and I. This place is super small so it got to be claustrophobic really fast, patience is a virtue and these pops are definitely worth the wait. My paleta was so creamy and flavorful, the pieces of pistachio and white chocolate really paired well with the sweetness of the taro. Give this place a try, make your own creations and enjoy the yumminess that is Holy Paleta!
google avatar

Juzenne C.

Yelp
Delicious flavors and creative and fun experience! The establishment was clean and the service was nice. The paletas were fresh tasting and tasted like real flavors, no artificial flavors. It's nice for kids to try and a nice sweet treat. A bit more expensive than I thought, I got one paleta with white chocolate and my partner did the same and I spent about $13, which was kind of a lot for something that we finished eating in less than 3 mins.
