The Best Mac and Cheese in Bucks County

"The mac and cheese menu item at Holy Que Smokehouse is the perfect accompaniment to the standout brisket, pulled pork, spareribs, and bratwurst you’ll find at this Texas-style barbecue spot in Lahaska. Order your favorite meat platter and choose the macaroni and cheese side dish made with mild cheddar, sharp cheddar, and gouda which you can top with brisket for a small added charge — and don’t sleep on the honey cornbread as it makes an ideal complement to the meal." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

The name of this place definitely suits for its food!! I mean holy…QUE!!! I’ve been seeing their instagram posts and today was the first time I’ve been to this spot despite of just seeing their posts Now that I am…the cashier was very friendly, I’ve asked what would be recommendations and we went for it It was a fiesta of different types of barbecue in one We had the green beans, street corn and a side of corn bread Every type of meat we’ve got, wow, just wow Melt in your mouth The corn bread was delectable I also got to try one of their drinks in their cooler (pictured) Don’t forget, their banana pudding—to die for!! . It’s that good that my sister wanted to come back again so that she can bring some back to Harrisburg. Wow. She’s taking it back two hours out!!! Well…I’m glad that I am not too far and I can come back here again Highly recommend and definitely check it out yourself

After reading all the great reviews we visited the Holy Que Smokehouse over the weekend. We ordered a full rack of spare ribs. We sat outside. It took about 5 minutes to have our order ready. The spare ribs were very tender, quiet spicy (Texas spicy) and the barbecue sauce was delicious and sweet to compliment the spices on the ribs. A full rack of spare ribs is $40. Plenty of food for 2 people. Highly recommend this place for barbecue ribs. :-)

Wow. The brisket made my husband's eye roll to the back of his head. The brown sugar bouborn BBQ sauce was so yummy. We fought over the cornbread. Delicious.

Pulled pork and brisket were good! The beans were some of the best beans we’ve ever had. I really didn’t like the Mac and cheese because it tastes like it has goat cheese in it and I’m not a fan of goat cheese 🥲 but it was very creamy!

Had no idea it existed, until this morning. So glad we stopped in! I had the brisket sandwich, my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. Cowboy beans and corn bread as sides. Holy moly, absolutely fantastic up and down! Moist, fall-apart meat with their sauce having a sweet-smokey tang with a touch of heat. The corn bread was sweet and flavorful, not dry. The cowboy beans have shredded brisket in them.. Absolutely Tremendous. Great smoke-to-sweet-to-salt ratio on everything. Corn bread crumbled over the beans is where it's at!. My only hope is that they partner with a local bakery or something for their rolls. That was the only tarnish on an otherwise FLAWLESS MEAL. Highly recommend! Best BBQ for miles! We will be going back and I plan on telling everyone I know about this place.

Stopped in on a whim today and so glad we did! Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the pulled pork, mac n cheese, apple slaw, and corn bread. Did the $75 meal for the 4 of us and we all left more than satisfied. The fire pits outside are a great touch and everyone was friendly. Definitely plan on returning!

Stopped by after the exploring the Strawberry Festival. Highly recommend this place, loved my ribs and fries. Wish they would of heated my cornbread, but it was still fire. Definitely stop by if you are in Peddlers Village and craving BBQ ❤️

I heard about this place when it was opening and then totally forgot about it. I remembered the name and I'm so HAPPY it's just 20 or so minutes away! And for a restaurant to be able to open and survive though the pandemic is saying a lot about what lies within! I was very excited about all of the reviews I had read that I couldn't wait to taste it. The reviews and photos can't give you any sense of the atmosphere, (even though I did take out) of the music you hear walking to the door, and the incredible smell! I had a hard time on my drive home because I couldn't wait to dig in! I got a 3 meat plate with cider slaw - ribs, pulled pork and turkey. (My husband got turkey and brisket with beans and slaw.)I didn't even touch the sauce! The slaw was perfect, light and not too sweet. I always read reviews, but don't take the time much to write them myself, so I'm always very grateful for those what do. I called first, got all of my questions answered and ordered online. I have health issues, so I was very happy that the very upbeat employee said that they don't wear masks. I have yet to dine in anywhere since prior to 2020 - not even outdoors. That's the only comment I would make is to update the health and safety section on the website and in the question section. But I did call and say I had health issues and dietary questions and she was very upfront which I appreciated. I wore my N95 mask and it wasn't crowded when I picked up my food. I'm also gluten free and grain free, so my side options are limited, but with the slaw and the meat and the pickled red onion which no one even talks about - I was more than happy - even if I can't eat the Mac and cheese, cornbread, etc. The red onion goes so well with any bite of meat - it's incredible! I wish I had more! I highly recommend (I've already shared with friends and family)! And perhaps when the weather warms up some, we will dine outdoors. But I will definitely return before then!
