The Best Places For BYOB Brunch - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Don't be dumb and make the mistake of sleeping on HB Home Bistro. The menu always has enough classics mixed with creativity to keep you coming back for more. Brunch burrito with braised short rib? Yup. Bread pudding french toast? You know we're in." - sam faye

My only previous experience with Home Bistro was for a special event. I remember being impressed but hadn't gone back. I think it's easy to fall into the usual haunts in Little Italy. After revisiting my husband and I decided we really need to make this one of our regular eateries! We both loved the spin on traditional dishes. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The music was upbeat and "loungy". Great experience!

Google
We tried Home Bistro for brunch, and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we arrived, we could tell we were in for something special. We started with the fried artichokes, a beautifully crispy and flavorful appetizer that set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal. For our main dishes, we tried the breakfast burger, pork belly hash, and a market salad. Each dish showcased incredible attention to detail and freshness. The breakfast burger was rich and savory, perfectly balanced by its toppings. The pork belly hash, with its crispy yet tender pork belly and perfectly cooked potatoes, was indulgent and comforting. The market salad provided a fresh and vibrant counterpoint to the other dishes, highlighting local ingredients and seasonal flavors. The highlight of the experience wasn’t just the food, though. The service was equally impressive. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, offering excellent recommendations and helping us decide on what to order. Overall, Home Bistro delivered not only delicious food but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a hearty brunch or a place to enjoy fresh, flavorful dishes, this spot is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Excellent food and service. All cocktails on the menu were either completely unique or unique spins on classics. Food was delicious. The smoked pork chop with lentils was one of the top plates I've eaten in a year. Friendly service and the prices lined up with the quality.

My husband and I happened upon home bistro for the first time last night after an evening stroll in little Italy. We wanted to try a new spot and home bistro did not disappoint. We started off with the aperol spritz slushee and strawberry Negroni which were truly fantastic and well balanced drinks. The garden salad was a beautiful take on a summer salad, and so delicious we left that plate clean. I ordered the ricotta gnocchi and my husband went for the smash burger which were so good. The gnocchi were pillowy and fluffy and the sauce was rustic and well balanced. My husband loved the burger. The staff was also great and accommodating with great recommendations. The restaurant itself has a great ambiance with great views of Murray hill. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

Google
5 stars all the way around! I Googled "brunch near me" and Home Bistro was an option and I'm so glad 😊. The food, drinks and service was amazing 👏 🙌. My husband and I enjoyed dining on the back patio. He had the housemade lamb sausage hash (don't remember the exact name) and I enjoyed the octopus civichie. I can't wait to go back to try other menu options...that hamburger I saw going to the table next to us looked scrumptious! Video review @mysocialpassport.

Google
HB has impressed with their short term carry out menu. We got the Brussel sprouts, artichoke fritters, gnocchi and autobahn pizza all amazing and delicious 😋 really impressed with the pizza and amount of flavor and creativity. Great job!

Google
This place never disappoints. I have been a number of times and I’m always excited to see what the specials or seasonal changes are. The gnocchi is always on the menu, but the preparation changes often…they’re a must. Great service, the owners are super friendly, and has a great neighborhood vibe. Highly recommend.

Google
I went there for the first time yesterday . The food was amazing . Seasonal products , incredible cocktails.

Yelp
This was a lovely spot for brunch. Food was great and the service was wonderful. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed the fresh air and ambiance

Yelp
Being that I love to Travel I also enjoy a Fine Restaurant. Stopped at this fine establishment and was not disappointed. Went in for Brunch and was seated within 5 minutes. Server was on point and recommended the special. So to make a long story short. The food was spot on, the service was spot on and the ambiance was very relaxing. I definitely will visit again and brings my associates with me.

Yelp
Tasty noccino cocktail and fried brussel sprouts and mushrooms apps. The brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy with a bit of spice from the chilis. They were unfortunately so salty it was painful at times to eat but I was hungry. Otherwise I would've not finished them as they were really incredibly salty and that is something I can't remember ever saying about food in recent history. The mushrooms were fried to light crispy perfection with a sweet honey mustard sauce. Both apps made for a filling meal for one.

Yelp
Good drinks, service was good, ordered artichoke fritters which were great, pan con tomate (tomato bread), mussels, burrata, gnocchi, fettucine and a burger. Tips: use the pan con tomate as the bread to soak up the broth w the mussels. Cuts through the salt... Fettucine was a little on the dry side.

Yelp
We were quickly seated on a Saturday night. The music was quiet enough that we could speak in regular voices - something rare these days. The menu was simple and the items reasonably priced. Although the menu says they don't make modifications, we were able to order our fish entree without bacon. Our server was very helpful and encouraged us to share our salad and entree, as we were saving room for dessert elsewhere. We were disappointed that they don't have bread service, but it turned out that sharing a salad and an entree was plenty. We're staying at a hotel nearby and could have given into the feeling that we should go to an Italian restaurant in Little Italy, but I'm glad we went to this little oasis of a bistro instead.

Yelp
Visited late on a Sunday and the menu was limited. But the food, service, and cocktails were outstanding! There's no skimping here on flavor. The ambiance is quite spare. A few plants (even if fake) would add a lot. The food is clearly the star here, and I'm fine with that.

Yelp
Wow!!!! 5 meals 3 apps and 4 desserts, all different all amazing!!!!! Really WOW!!! Great drinks too!

Yelp
This is probably my favorite restaurant in Little Italy. The food is never boring and the menu is always changing. Definitely nice to have something other than a traditional Italian restaurant around here to shake it up a bit. The owners are the sweetest as well as their staff we always feel well taken care of. I have never eaten something I haven't liked and I can't even count how many times we've visited. I love the decor, very homey and the smashburger on Thursday burger night is my favorite burger ever. Seriously. The edges are perfectly crisped and I have no clue what seasoning but *chefs kiss*!
google avatar

Yelp
Great option in Little Italy for Sunday brunch recommended by a friend of mine. They had some very unique menu options like Cincinnati chili hash, which my friend had and enjoyed! I had the breakfast cheeseburger which was delicious as well! Not sure what their dinner menu is like, but the brunch menu was definitely not traditional Italian food. It also rotates seasonally! We were able to make a reservation online and we're seated as soon as we arrived. The service was friendly and fast. I would definitely go back for brunch or to try it out for dinner.

Yelp
Home Bistro is upscale food, flavor combinations, and plating at affordable prices. The menu changes constantly which is a delighter. The vibe of the restaurant is chic, boutique, while being comfortable and homey. Highly recommend this place for a 1st date or 100th date. Would also be good for a girls night, the wine menu is great and super approachable. We discovered Home Bistro when it was in Chicago and were so happy to finally eat there again at their Cleveland restaurant. Cleveland is so lucky to have this restaurant!

Yelp
Salt salt and more salt if you gave high blood pressure I suggest you skip Honey Bistro Unless you want to stroke out but on the positive side you would be a few minutes away from the Cleveland Clinic To be fair the dinner started out well withe the drinks and appetizers which was a great Ceasar Salad and artichoke fritters and then the main course Clams in broth came out with enough salt to give Chipotle a run for saltines food ever Consider that the clams were in a spicy broth there was no need to dump a salt mine in our dish still hungry I ordered a chicken sandwich and the poultry was sandwiched in by peanut butter and jelly Pretty bizzarre and not very tasty Oh well I'm sure you get the jiist of it When in Rome ....stick with Italian food in Little Italy

Yelp
Stopped in to this adorable spot in Little Italy for a cute date night. The space itself is intimate, with nice decor and good lighting. The service here is excellent, very attentive and kind. I really enjoyed the margeurite cocktail, a nice tequila-y mezcal-y vibe. A good twist from the classic margarita. The rainbow trout was really delicious. The fish had an amazing crispy skin you could hear when you started cutting in. The egg was cooked perfectly with a nice runny yolk. The cabbage gave great sour contrast with the richness of the rest of the dish. Overall an exceptional meal, and I look forward to returning.

Mary B.

Yelp
The service was good and I liked the decor. I think the short rib dish was way too salty and I salt everything!

Mary C.

Yelp
Food and service was outstanding! We had the special, fettuccini with pork neck bone gravy and meatballs. It was the most authentic meat sauce I've had since my dear Italian mother-in-law passed, RIP. It was obvious the chef spent hours preparing the sauce, fresh noodles, and meatballs. We will be back!

Yelp
The menu changes every week. To be really blunt, this place feels pretentious ("Alternations politely declined" stated on the bottom of the menu), but the food doesn't live up to being pretentious. It's decent, but not mind-blowing by any means. I came with my co-workers twice, and both times, I thought it was just okay. The first time, I tried the Bulgogi steak and cheese ($20), which was a severe disappointment, besides from the potatoes. The potatoes were crisped to perfection. The bulgogi itself? Being from California, this was just very mediocre to me. I get the novelty, but to be frank, I don't think this combination works, flavor-wise. On a side note, my friends did enjoy their trout and gnocchi, particularly the friend who had the trout. The overall presentation is also aesthetically pleasing. The second time we went, we tried their brunch menu. I tried their short rib potato scramble that came with a fried egg on top. The potatoes were very flavorless...my friend and I both asked for ketchup. The short rib itself was alright, nothing to write home about. My other friend got the french toast, and it seemed like he enjoyed his dish the most out of all of us. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back unless someone wanted me to go back with them. Otherwise, I think it's expensive for what it is and not that delicious.

Yelp
Can't wait to return and try some additional items here. Fully enjoyed the Amsterdam Mussels and Trout. The ricotta donut holes were wonderful. A glass of Vino Verde made the whole meal enjoyable. Plenty of great meals on the menu. A few specials were mentioned and they sounded good as well. Once regular dining returns, this place is going in our regular rotation!

Yelp
My partner and I came here for Valentine's Day dinner. He had called five days in advance, which is cutting it close, but we were able to get one of the last tables there. We absolutely loved our experience! Firstly, the ambience in the restaurant was fantastic. They had nice mood lighting (not sure if this was specifically for Valentine's day or not), and it is a small space that felt cozy, not crowded. The service was fantastic. The wait staff were so nice, we were seated immediately, and the food came out quickly and promptly. The food was absolutely fantastic! We had the set Valentine's Day menu, so I am not sure if these items are offered with the regular food menu. I had the haloumi, squash soup, and pork entree. He had the oyster starter, squash soup, and beef entree. There were shared chocolate truffles for dessert. All the food was exquisitely done, especially the meats. I cannot rave enough about the food quality here. I will say that it can be difficult to be get into Home Bistro sometimes. This is not our first attempt at trying to come here, and they were closed before, despite it being during the "open hours" on Google. Just make sure to call ahead and make a reservation while you're at it! A great overall experience and well worth it.

Yelp
Food was mediocre. Waitress was friendly and nice! Red sauce with the muscles and clams was not really good! Bland. Burger was ok. Soft shell crab was big and looked soggy and wasn't really good!

Yelp
I was worried that Home Bistro would not be opening since they were still under construction at the start of quarantine. But thankfully they continued with their grand opening as scheduled! Their rainbow trout was top-notch, everything was very well seasoned and my friends also enjoyed their entrées. I would definitely invite my family here for a fancy dinner if they came to visit!

Paul M.

Yelp
This is certainly one of the best restaurants in Cleveland. The menu changes frequently, and the food is consistently delicious. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is casual and war. I recommend it highly.

Yelp
Love this place. Great Cocktails and a creative food menu. Every appetizer we ordered was the bomb. I don't member the name of it but there was some sort of toast that had like almost like a tomato soup drizzle on it that was literally the best thing I've eaten in a long time, especially for something so simple. The entrée said we ordered. We're all very good there. Burger is very creative with some onion jam. That was really good and pickled onions. I had a scallop entrée. The scallops are good served in like a cold sauce though, so that was a little offputting. I still ate it. The pork belly entrée was delicious the chili Verde special entrée. It was delicious overall this place is great would definitely recommend, however, it is not Italian food service so to speak. If you're looking for a little big pasta dishes, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a fresh, creative, and small menu, it's perfect.

Yelp
First experience was their Valentines dinner which was a predetermined menu. Great vibes inside. Wonderful staff. Excellent location and unique experience for Little Italy. A refreshing change of pace. Prices are high and portions aren't huge but the flavors and overall quality were fantastic. Definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome restaurant in little Italy, they had a great (and reasonably priced) cocktail list. I like that they provided paper menus, including a separate small menu of specials. The rainbow trout with was amazing-crispy, flavorful, and the egg added a nice touch. We also got this short rib pasta dish that was on special and it was delicious. The chef (and owner) came out to personally ask how everything was, and his wife was the hostess and super sweet. Will definitely come again!

Yelp
New hottest spot in Little Italy! Home Bistro brings a modern flavor to Mayfield road. They are located On prime real estate on Little Italy's main strip. Staff is wonderful! Very helpful in choosing a dish. The star dish had to be the mussels. They are perfectly steamed - only one was still closed which is rare when ordering mussels. We will be back soon to try the rest of the menu!! See you soon HB! The only thing missing was a mussel fork to better appreciate the dish.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Home Bistro for our Valentine dinner last night. They had a Spanish themed menu. We knew beforehand what they were offering. We have been to Home Bistro before and have always enjoyed the atmosphere the service and the magnificent food. Once again they didn't disappoint. It was a lively fun packed house and food and service were impeccable. Thank to everyone at Home Bistro for our wonderful evening. Can't wait to visit again very soon!!!

Thomas D.

Yelp
Great food, Great drinks, Great service, Great Vibe! They hit home runs on all the things I want for a great night out. I think the key is that the staff is confident on the quality of their food (we ordered brown butter Old Fashion, a novel twist on the Negroni (I am a big fan of the Negroni and it came clear - clearly not your old fashioned Negroni, the lightly-fried oyster mushrooms, smoked chicken thighs (a great recipe & preparation) and the duck paprikas (It worked well together - the dumplings were soft and light and the sauce complemented the duck). As Christina stated, the owners "are the sweetest" and they are there and involved in their restaurant. This is a great choice for a great night out.
google avatar

Lindsay S.

Yelp
This experience was really disappointing. We waited over an hour and a half for our food before calling it a night and asking to pay for our drinks and leave without eating. There was no explanation whatsoever for the delay. When we finally asked to leave, the host offered an explanation involving being short staffed. While this is understan sable, they shouldn't to have agreed to seat us if they were so understaffed that no one noticed how our table went without our main course for an hour and a half. To make matters worse, the host was not willing to provide any sort of compensation for the complete waste of our time and evening: we ended up paying full price for our appetizers and drinks and left hungry and disappointed. No doubt the team at this restaurant is well intentioned, but this experience was downright unpleasant. I worry for the future of a place which makes customers wait so long and then whose management prioritizes a few extra dollars over having customers leave feeling there was no effort made to make up for a night wasted.

Yelp
Did a day trip to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, then to Little Italy for dinner. Did a change of pace and didn't go to the "usual" spots, tried this new one for us. We were looking for outside/patio dining to enjoy the late afternoon and early evening and Home Bristo was our choice, actually mine since it was my duty! Well, WHAT A CHOICE! First, big round of applause for Alison, our server. Got us immediately set and took the drink orders AFTER she got us water, which was very much in demand. After a discussion between all of us, our drinks were served. The gals got Mojito's; wine for one; and I got my beverage tester, a Bloody Mary. Let me be the first to say, this was THE BEST Bloody Mary I have had in years, if not forever! A great blend of the mix; the vodka and the veggies, made a fantastic drink for this parched drinker!! Then the meals. When asked about her favorite, Allison recommended the Lamb Gnocchi. One thing that my wife, an Italian, heard was the gnocchi was light, not heavy and the lamb would be surprising. So two ordered that, while I and another has the Smash Burger. I know, a burger in Little Italy! But let me tell you now, OMG was it great!! Juicy, thick, served on a toasted Brioche bun and the regular condiments, this burger did not last on this guys plate!! AND the home made fries, were potato wedges perfectly fried. Crispy on the outside, and soft and taste on the inside. Perfect combo. For the two that ordered the Lamb Gnocchi, let me put it this way - Doggie bags were not needed! That tells you something, take it from me. Usually a dish like this, is heavy and you don't want to over do it and stuff yourself, so you take the rest home. Not tonight! Both diners marveled at the lightness of the gnocchi and the lamb was perfect. No one left anything to take home, and no one felt stuffed-perfect way to feel after a great meal. So if you are heading to Little Italy, and you want to try something new and unique, you will not be disappointed stopping at Home Bistro for your meal. And be sure to get Allison, a fabulous server!!

Yelp
Yum and wow! This cozy little place has an eclectic and interesting menu that did not disappoint! We had the mussels, fettuccini, braised beef, mushroom risotto and bulgogi and spaetzel. Everything was delicious and the service was perfect. We topped it off with the caramel ricotta donuts. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
It's absolutely mind boggling that anyone could POSSIBLY have anything negative to say about this place. (In the midst of a pandemic, let us not forget the constant struggle it has been for any business to keep their doors open, but most importantly the effort and passion these small business owners have put into their work day in and day out. Hats off ESPECIALLY to HB for putting in WORK!) And I'm genuinely not trying to be dramatic, but this is THE best food I have ever eaten. Each menu item better than the next. (Hint: if there's a special, GET IT). The quality of food is next level. From completely hand made to locally sourced, the "modifications declined" is very clearly because every dish is curated SO PERFECTLY it would be a shame and dishonor to change anything about it. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. It actually couldn't be further from the word "pretentious"! I get nothing but warm and welcoming when I step inside. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The chef may even pay you a visit to deliver you a dish or check up on how your meal was. It's a down to earth, local, neighborhood feel with upscale dining quality food. It's a refreshing take on dishes you know and love, yet at the same time a chance to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. A breath of fresh air from the surrounding world of spaghetti and meatballs. Living in the neighborhood, we order from HB a couple times a week - not only to show our support but because it is THAT good. Look out for the little details next time you're in. Talk to the chef. Try something new. Keep an open mind. Have patience. Have respect. These are people, just like you and I, trying their absolute best within the absolute worst situation. Spark Notes: GREAT ATMOSPHERE, GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT FOOD! Eat at HB!

Yelp
Glad Home Bistro moved to Cleveland! Great addition of non-Italian food to little Italy. Did a great job with the inside of the place and nice patio to go along with it. We had 4 amazing dishes of corn of the cob, fried oysters, scallops and duck. Thanks for helping celebrate our anniversary
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to HomeBistro in Chicago and now Cleveland and I can tell you the atmosphere has not changed. The food isn't the only thing that has me coming back, it's the homey feeling I get when I'm there!

Yelp
This place was great with a little new American diversity in little Italy. They have sidewalk and back patio seating and a very cute set up. I was excited to try this place out since they had great reviews from their previous location in Chicago, and it didn't disappoint. Cocktails were had some fun twists and were perfect for the food. Ordered the rainbow trout, bulgogi spaetzle, and bacon wrapped dates, which were delicious. The bulgogi spaetzle was a little fusion spin, and I appreciated the idea! but wouldn't really call it bulgogi....Rainbow trout was crisp and flaky and dates were perfect. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
My wife gave birth to our first child ten months ago, and we haven't been out on a date by ourselves since Halloween 2019. Finally ready to book a babysitter, we were excited to choose newly opened Home Bistro for our re-entry into the world after dark. My wife made a reservation for the patio. Upon arrival, we were told a seat on the patio would be a 45-minute wait. Only slightly irked, we were quickly seated in an alley adjacent to the restaurant. It's more charming than it sounds, but the alley is also home to a very busy valet stand - not so charming. The first thing I noticed on the menu was a warning at the bottom: "Alterations politely declined." I understand the sentiment, and it reflects a chef's confidence in his menu and skills, but, for someone who doesn't care for fennel, 3/7 main dishes are immediately eliminated. Still, I had high hopes. Then things started going downhill. We wanted to enjoy our first glass of wine with an appetizer as we looked over the menu more closely. Not possible, I'm afraid, as our waitress informed us the chef courses and paces guests' meals at his discretion - one must order apps. and mains simultaneously. Such hubris! The food must be delicious. We ordered bacon-wrapped dates and fried oysters with grits (see pics). What arrived was a pile of balls covered in burned (not caramelized) brown sugar and a plate of fried oysters straight out of 1987. An entire strip of bacon suffocated each poor little date in three layers with a "topping" of burned brown sugar adding insult to injury. Presentation was simply non-existent: literally a pile of bacon balls on a white plate with burned brown sugar thrown on top (see pic). The oysters and grits were similarly disappointing. The grits were cold, lumpy (see pic!), and flavorless, lacking even salt and fat/creaminess. The oysters were warm, heavily breaded (almost corned), and also needed salt. Unfortunately, between the breading and the hard fry, most of the oysters' delicious umami flavor was AWOL. We didn't stick around for entrees. It's great to see new concepts come onto the Cleveland dining scene, and during a pandemic no less, but here's hoping adjustments are made before Home Bistro becomes a mistake on a new lake.

Yelp
Delicious Brunch Took my mom for brunch. I had the Breakfast Sammy and she had a BLT. Both were unique and delicious. Not your typical breakfast fare. They had a bunch of great looking brunch cocktails which we did not sample. We ate on the patio. White tablecloths, lots of plants, very nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the owners came by to introduce themselves and check in on us. We live in the neighborhood and are excited to have another option for brunch. Looking forward to trying Home Bistro for dinner! Michael

Yelp
We have been fans of Home Bistro for years. It was our favorite restaurant in Chicago. When they closed and moved to my home town of Cleveland we knew we had to check it out. The restaurant is better than ever. Asparagus and the fritters were delicious appetizers. The chicken sandwich, burger, and trout pleased all diners in our party. From previous experience the pork belly and gnocchi are delicious as well. My all time favorite was an oxtail orichiette with pomegranate... I still think of it! In Chicago there was no liquor license but the Tiki Negroni and Naked and Famous cocktails stood out here and showed the same creativity and craft that defines the food is applied to the beverage program as well. Prices are absolute bargains given the top quality of the food, drinks, and excellent service. Spacious enclosed patio as well. Enjoy!

Neil B.

Yelp
We visit Home Bistro often because the menu is inventive, the service is fast and friendly, the cocktails are always well crafted, and the food is consistently excellent. We particularly enjoy Tuesday burger night and Sunday brunch.

Julie B.

Yelp
Love this restaurant in Little Italy! It never disappoints for dinner, and we just had a wonderful Father's Day brunch. The food is creative and delicious, the service is always friendly, and cocktails are great too. Had the Pimm's today for brunch, and it was gingery and tasty. Gotta try the donuts and bread pudding, wow!!

Yelp
Home Bistro is a tale of two faces, a Janus-like experience, particularly if you're in the family dining beat. The food is delicious, from presentation to flavors, our halloumi fries, our mains and our desserts were very good, amongst the best food in the Little Italy selection. That said, this restaurant has a few hiccups that, granted some of them are a perfectly valid option for a restaurant to take, are kind of unacceptable in 2021 - one is not having high chairs or any way to accommodate children, sure it's an option but not a nice one at that; two is not having WiFi access, again, guilty of being part of a very special crew, but good luck in trying to get a toddler happy for the two hours of dining without a modern world constant need (thank god for personal hotspots). Really up to 4 starts because the food is so delicious, but unfortunately with so many barriers to being family-friendly, out of consideration for most meals.

Karen G.

Yelp
Possibly the absolute best food I have ever had! Six of us were so very impressed! For such an incredible dinner the prices are very reasonable!

Crystal C.

Yelp
Home Bistro is a cozy little place in the heart of Little Italy. They offer a hip, curated menu that changes frequently. They also have nightly specials including mussels Tuesdays and burger Thursdays. Overall, Home Bistro offers a fresh atmosphere that's different than my typical little Italy experience. We started off with the grilled halloumi appetizer. Topped with strawberries, pickled garlic, and olive oil, it was the perfect start to a springtime dinner. I opted for the ricotta gnocchi for my entree. It was sumptuously topped with ground lamb, English peas, and mint. The gnocchi itself was pillowy and delicious. It was altogether a delicious dish I would definitely come back for! My dining partner went with the mussels and said they were amazing.

Yelp
Nice place with a casual vibe. Drinks and food are excellent. Great location being in Little Italy. Service was good as well. We plan to be back.

Yelp
Always a great experience! My fiancé and I frequented the Chicago location when it was there. Although we were sad to see you leave Chicago, we were happy to know that we could still make the trip in a few hours. We finally got to do that this weekend! We took a 3 day trip to see Cleveland and have dinner and Brunch at Home Bistro! We had THE best food, as always! And the service makes you feel like you are dining at a close friends house. Very comfortable, cozy and casual. Incredible flavor combinations and interpretations of classic comfort dishes are a signature of Chef Victor. We had the Brussels Sprouts AGAIN last night and they are still unbelievable. Crispy and soaking up an incredible sweet chili sauce. The kale and apple salad was a crunchy sweet and sour delight, The Coriander Salmon was super crispy and flakey at the same time! Roman burger was out of this world delicious! Flavors kept changing throughout the bite! Brunch unveiled a breakfast Sammy sporting a ginger and sage breakfast sausage, maple bacon with a fried egg, cheddar and hot sauce, or my "hash" of crimini mushroom, crispy house cured pork belly, and fried egg over house-style potatoes. 5 hours is not too long to drive for this kind of food!! Can't wait to come back again soon!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! We went when they were in Chicago many times so when they moved to Cleveland we made it a point to go and it was even better than I remembered! They also make incredible cocktails!

This was my favorite restaurant in Chicago and I was very sad to see them close up and move to Cleveland. My wife and I took a trip to Ohio so we could enjoy their delicious food again and we were not disappointed. And to make things better they are now serving cocktails which were really fantastic. HB offers modern American food with sometimes unusual seeming combinations that are always amazing. Do yourself a favor and go to HB for a unique meal.

Yelp
we absolutely loved our dinner at home bistro. the combination of ingredients are different and perfect together. we struggled to decide what to order because it all sounded so wonderful. as it turns out. everything was as delicious as it sounded. the chef, Victor, was warm embracing and engaging. he welcomed us as he asked about our amazing meals. we dined on the patio, which was out back and off the road. it was quiet, full of greenery and a great place to have dinner. tables were nicely spaced but we noticed people chatting with nearby tables - mostly complementing the food!! we ca't wait to go back and enjoy the ever changing new menu items that use seasonally fresh ingredients. we highly recommend this lovely little restaurant!

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland. The craft cocktails are outstanding, including a gin rhubarb drink that I had the other night. Literally everything was off the charts delicious, ranging from a twist on samosas to halloumi and chickpea salad, to a twist on the BLT, to amazing desserts. It's a small menu, but very very well crafted. There was not a single thing that wasn't stellar for our party of four. Service is also efficient, warm and welcoming. Go here!

Yelp
Ooooof. Rude to customers, long wait time, terrible food (no one in my party finished their meal). Overall trashy for a "fine dining" establishment.

Yelp
From the moment we opened the door to the time we left the service and friendliness was above expected. The food. Scrumptious. Fresh. All flavors combined was like a work of art . The donut holes omg. Fresh squeezed orange juice. We went for Sunday brunch - highly recommend! I can't wait to go back!
