This place was honestly amazing. Every single dish was delicious, the fish really stood out incredible flavours and cooked perfectly. Everything we ate was so well balanced and full of flavour. The place has such a lovely, authentic local feel it genuinely feels like being welcomed into someone’s home. Warm, relaxed, and full of soul. One of those meals you don’t stop talking about afterwards. For sure the best meal we had in Bali. Would go back in a heartbeat. Will be thinking about this food for a long time to come! Highly recommend if you want to try beautiful Indonesian food.

Came back 4 times during our 5 day trip in Bali. The dishes here are unique, well thought out, high quality, and incredibly affordable for what you’re getting. We tried quite a few things on the menu and the 5 course set and here’s our favorite: 1. The octopus: I had never had grilled octopus with sambal, but the pairing is so magically delicious (and this is coming from a person that doesn’t even like sambal!) The char flavor and the sauce just fit so well, and the octopus texture is perfect. A must try in our opinion! 2. Pork fried rice: It might look like nothing, but it’s just so yummy, hearty and enjoyable. I’ve been craving it every day since I had it, even tried to squeeze it in as “afternoon tea” right before our flight 😅 3. Eggplant: Loved the texture of chewy tempe, crunchy winged beans, and juicy eggplant together with a rich but not heavy sauce. Very unique and super delicious. Honorable mention: The bubur sumsum (dessert) is so so so incredible!! Other dishes that we had including beef rendang, smoked duck, ikan bakar…. were also very good. Also highly recommend the 5 course set, although it’s all just things from the menu, you can try a lot of different things in one meal. Conclusion: Every dish I had here made me feel like I was taken on a journey that’s full of pleasant surprises. The place doesn’t look very fancy compared to other restaurants in Bali, but I think the food has a lot of heart in it and I can’t wait to come back:)

Had an incredible dining experience at Home by Chef Wayan. Knowing Chef Wayan has worked in Michelin starred restaurants in the US and served as Executive Chef at Kaum, my expectations were high and the food exceeded them. I ordered the beef rendang and it was outstanding incredibly tender and beautifully balanced in flavor, not heavy like many traditional rendang styles but still rich and soulful. The chicken satay was another highlight, the peanut sauce was creamy and flavorful and the satay itself was perfectly marinated. every bite was full of spices and deeply infused flavor. The gado-gado was fresh and wholesome, with a perfect harmony between crisp vegetables and the savory peanut dressing. For dessert, I had the black rice with ice cream, and it was the perfect ending comforting, slightly sweet and refreshing. A culinary experience that feels refined yet homely. Highly recommended, will definitely come back!

I rarely take the initiative to write reviews, but this restaurant truly impressed me. I ordered the rendang beef, grilled prawns, and the appetizer—every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was great, with soft music that made me feel very relaxed. Even the restroom was clean and had a stylish Balinese vibe. I genuinely recommend this place! Widi's service was also excellent—she had a sweet smile and was very attentive.
