Had an incredible dining experience at Home by Chef Wayan. Knowing Chef Wayan has worked in Michelin starred restaurants in the US and served as Executive Chef at Kaum, my expectations were high and the food exceeded them.
I ordered the beef rendang and it was outstanding incredibly tender and beautifully balanced in flavor, not heavy like many traditional rendang styles but still rich and soulful. The chicken satay was another highlight, the peanut sauce was creamy and flavorful and the satay itself was perfectly marinated. every bite was full of spices and deeply infused flavor.
The gado-gado was fresh and wholesome, with a perfect harmony between crisp vegetables and the savory peanut dressing. For dessert, I had the black rice with ice cream, and it was the perfect ending comforting, slightly sweet and refreshing.
A culinary experience that feels refined yet homely. Highly recommended, will definitely come back!
