"This humble and cosy eatery in trendy Pererenan serves up homestyle Balinese recipes by Nusa Penida native, Cchef Wayan Kresna Yasa – who also heads KAUM at Potato Head Bali. Delicious, comforting and plated to perfection, signature dishes include the Tempe Lodeh with young jackfruit and eggplant, Bebek Se’i (Hay smoked duck) and Ayam Srosop – pan-seared chicken in a spiced coconut broth." - Erica Fong

Had an incredible dining experience at Home by Chef Wayan. Knowing Chef Wayan has worked in Michelin starred restaurants in the US and served as Executive Chef at Kaum, my expectations were high and the food exceeded them. I ordered the beef rendang and it was outstanding incredibly tender and beautifully balanced in flavor, not heavy like many traditional rendang styles but still rich and soulful. The chicken satay was another highlight, the peanut sauce was creamy and flavorful and the satay itself was perfectly marinated. every bite was full of spices and deeply infused flavor. The gado-gado was fresh and wholesome, with a perfect harmony between crisp vegetables and the savory peanut dressing. For dessert, I had the black rice with ice cream, and it was the perfect ending comforting, slightly sweet and refreshing. A culinary experience that feels refined yet homely. Highly recommended, will definitely come back!

I rarely take the initiative to write reviews, but this restaurant truly impressed me. I ordered the rendang beef, grilled prawns, and the appetizer—every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was great, with soft music that made me feel very relaxed. Even the restroom was clean and had a stylish Balinese vibe. I genuinely recommend this place! Widi's service was also excellent—she had a sweet smile and was very attentive.

Stumbled across this place online when I was looking for a suitable place to celebrate a relative’s birthday. Making a reservation was easy and the team was very responsive. The restaurant is small but cosy, which was a good fit for us. Honestly, every dish we had here was a pleasant surprise, from the terung bakar (grilled eggplant) with its tasty sauce to the tangy and refreshing pomelo rojak as well as the melt in your mouth babi bali, everything not only looked good but tasted amazing. Overall it was an excellent experience, and I would make it a point to visit HOME again on my next visit.

Very very well cooked indonesian dishes. We liked the sate babi very much, along with octopus and rendang. Unfortunately, Desserts were too modernized

This restaurant is worth contending with Canggu traffic for a visit. Went there for the first time last year and returned again on my trip to Bali this year. The food is so good. The roti lempeng is so light and flaky and the sauce is so flavourful. Every dish was wonderfully presented and so delicious. They also do amazing cocktails. I could happily spend an afternoon drinking the Strong Granny cocktail. Perfectly compliment the food menu. I will definitely be back everytime I'm back in Bali. Special mention for the staff, they stand out even for the high levels of service you usually find in Bali.

Ordered 3 mains and 1 side for 2 pax and if I could, will order their tempeh to try but we were too full. Each dish was cooked to perfection and all the meats were so tender and flavourful. Chef Wayan and his staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back again 💯

Food was super good. Well balance of flavours, textures and spice. Our best meal in Bali. There were 4 of us who order the 5 course chef selection. For each course at our table, we had 2 dishes offered. So we got to try 9 dishes in all (1 was the skewer platter). Everything was on point. The meat were tender and juicy, the vegetables fresh with different flavours from the herbs & spices. Unfortunately, we are heading home the next day. Otherwise we will definitely have more meals here.
