I’ve been here every day since they’ve opened and every single time, the coffee, the service, and the atmosphere have been EXCELLENT. Big recommend for the Birthday Cake Latte. It’s not nearly as sweet as you’d think it would be! Shoutout to Karl, Christina, and the rest of the team — they’re super friendly, and you can really tell they’re giving their all to make your morning just a little bit brighter. 10/10 will be here every day 💕

Google
Lovely staff and the coffee is so good here. Finally a top quality offering in the neighborhood. Hard to find good coffee since I moved to Santa Clara/ Sunnyvale. So happy Home has expanded from SF to SV!

Cute place, nice people and I had a delicious iced sea salt caramel latte! I’m excited to go back and try more things!

So glad this is finally open in Sunnyvale downtown! I’ve been waiting ever since I noticed their “coming soon” sign. Love their coffee! ☕️

Wowww best service ever!! We would give 10 stars if we could. Staff is friendly and welcoming, decor has soothing vibes, and check out this stunning latte art - compliments of talented artist Karl for the super Squirtle fan in our family. Much appreciated and feels like Home :) Thanks-a-latte Karl and crew!! So far we have enjoyed the rose, ube, birthday cake, caramel, cookie monster, chocolate mint, lavender and red velvet lattes. Flavors are delicious and we can't wait to try everything on their unique menu. We highly recommend this fun and stylish new cafe to everyone!!

Wish they served a skim milk option. A little over priced but good roast on the beans!

Excited to have Home in the East Bay! Drinks are always good and love their seasonal drinks

Google
Waited 15+ minutes for a cup of milk with a shot in it while the place was not busy (3 customers). 4 people standing behind the counter talking, hugging, adjusting their covid masks, doing anything except making coffee. The coffee was terrible too. Didn't use condensed milk even though thats what is on the menu for the drink I ordered. I wont be wasting my time or money here again

Yelp
first time to home coffee roasters in Sunnyvale! I know they have a location in San Francisco, The service was good, they had a kiosk that you could order off of. The ambience was a sitdown coffee house that had indoor and outdoor seating

Yelp
I first tried Home Coffee Roasters in SF and LOVED IT so I was beyond excited to see one open closer to the South Bay! I'll have to try more of their drinks but I thought the SF location was better. The drinks left more of an impact on me there. But the drinks I got were still good! The iced sea salted caramel late was good but the Cookie Monster latte I prefer hot. Service was quick and easy! Super cute interior and location.

Yelp
I thought this place was just ok. It's an awesome looking coffee shop with that modern touch. It's a small shop which only provides the grab n' go experience. They have regular drip coffees to specialty drinks in which I hear their coconut vanilla and Ube flavored drinks are popular. I just wanted to try their regular medium-roast drip which was pretty good. There is nothing too special about this; just a regular all black drip for about $4.50. I would like to come in and try more drinks, but the problem is, their hours are really short. They close @ 4pm! I wish their hours stretched longer. I guess I'll have to stop in on the weekends rather than the work week.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Home in SF but after I heard there was one opening in Sunnyvale.. I RAN. Home Coffee Roasters is located in downtown Sunnyvale in a newly developed shopping plaza. This plaza is beautiful with its outdoor walk ways and small parks nestled in between the apartments and storefronts. You can order via kiosk or online on their website. Our two drinks took about 25 minutes which is pretty disappointing. Perhaps things will improve as they figure their system out. Hazelnut latte - I have not had such a mediocre cup of coffee in a long time. This excuse for a latte was so milk forward, with just the slightest hint of coffee flavor. Are the ratios off or are the beans just not very strong? The latte art was nice but didn't mean much if the drink itself was not good. Holy cow - The condensed milk added a nice milky sweet finish to each sip. The coffee itself was weak and barely present. I did like the holy cow better than the hazelnut latte though. I'm not sure if I would return to this location, especially if the coffee quality doesn't improve. Theres a Starbucks right upstairs from Home so it seems like Starbies might be winning this race right now. Service is slow and the drinks are quite average especially with a $7.50 price tag.

Yelp
Shopping next door and walking out spotted the line for this place. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to wait but ended up getting line. The line moved slow which gave me ample time to check out the menu. I had a hard time deciding what to order because nothing caught my attention right away. When I got to the tablet to order I still was unsure what to order but opted for a chocolate mint latte. Not a huge chocolate and coffee fan but only thing that caught my attention so I went for it. Waited about another 10 minutes and got my order and headed out. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised the drink was a good balance of chocolate, mint, and coffee. Very well made. While I was ordering a barista came to check in if I needed help. I like that they have self-serve and a cashier to take orders. Since it was my first time I wanted to see the description of the drinks so I opted for self serve. I do prefer ordering with a person but really whatever is fastest is what I go for. The space itself is small and simple. Simple colors and aesthetic but still with personality. Few small tables inside no seating outside. All in all a great addition to an already bustling Sunnyvale space.

Yelp
I had been looking forward to trying this coffee shop ever since I saw the "coming soon" sign on their door, so I brought my brother and husband to check it out. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the anticipation. The wait was surprisingly long. They had a self-order register which I personally don't care for as slows things down when customers linger at the kiosk, and honestly, a cashier would make the process smoother and more efficient. I ordered an iced vanilla latte. While it wasn't bad, it didn't stand out. There was nothing memorable about the flavor, and the vanilla syrup didn't do much for me. My brother had the "Hangover" and said it was the worst carbonated coffee drink he's ever had. My husband got the "Holy Cow" and had the same views as myself; underwhelming. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, the coffee, flavors, and experience just didn't do it for me.

Yelp
I still remember how popular Home Coffee Roasters was years ago in SF so excited to try it again down here in South Bay!! Located in downtown Sunnyvale right next to Target and Teazzi so parking is pretty easy with the lots nearby. The place had cute decor but quite small with a few small tables/chairs but you can also take your coffee to the middle section of downtown sunnyvale where there are more benches. They sell merch and also their own coffee beans. They have some pastries and a lot of latte options. I got the iced salted caramel latte less sweet and it was pretty milk heavy/watered down and barely any salted caramel flavor. Wasn't impressed but maybe they're more known for their hot lattes/latte art. Might be interested to stop by to try something else if a friend wanted to check it out but there are definitely better coffee spots!!

Yelp
Stopped by Home Coffee Roasters and it totally lived up to the hype. I got the birthday cake latte, which was sweet in the best way -- kind of nostalgic but still had that solid coffee flavor. My fiancé got the ube latte, and it was smooth, lightly sweet, and super comforting. It was pretty busy, but they still took the time to make the drinks look beautiful -- really appreciated that extra care. The vibe was chill but lively, and the space is perfect for hanging out or grabbing something fun on the go. Can't wait to come back and try more seasonal drinks.

Yelp
I am so pleased with their Coke special drink! Forgot what it's called. It has Coke, espresso, vanilla ice cream, and typically extra sugar but I asked for it without and it was perfect. The ice creams melts a little bit and it becomes a cream soda with a slight coffee kick. Super special and I've never had anything like it. It is a little pricey but it's a nice coffee shop. Lots of free parking in garages nearby. Only a little bit a seating, definitely not suitable to camp out and do work at.

Yelp
Brought my buddy & his tween son to Home Coffee Roasters for a quick bfast before catching the train into the City. The boy wanted a latte & while daddy was picking up an order at Target, I thought it wouldn't hurt to let him indulge in an iced latte here. I got my usual, an Americano, black & my friend had an Americano, albeit not black, he adds splenda and oat milk, sighhh, that is no longer coffee but oh well... While I was ordering a barista came to check in if I needed help. I like that they have self-serve and a cashier to take orders -always great service. I had 1 of their avo toast this time and it was delicious. The space itself is small and simple. Simple colors and aesthetic but still with personality. Few small tables inside no seating outside.

Yelp
Anxiously awaiting this new coffee spot in downtown Sunnyvale. Finally got to check it out on the 4th of July. Needed a little pick me up (and a little hangry) and HCR has a great assortment of coffees and teas. You can order at the kiosks or with a fellow staff member. Space is clean and inviting. Definitely a minimalistic vibe. There are a few tables and chairs, and it was packed inside, so I ended up standing (which I didn't mind). Avocado toast was on crusty and soft sourdough bread! Can't wait to try more of the coffees and teas. I'll be back! Welcome to Sunnyvale Home Coffee Roasters!!

Yelp
The line wasn't that long when I went on a Sunday morning (9am ish). I had forgotten that I've already tried home coffee roasters until I pulled up my review histories, and I was surprised to find out that I had bookmarked this place as a "would recommend going in SF". I didn't realize my memory has gotten thaaaat bad. I only remembered wanting to try out home coffee roasters lol. Anyways, I'm happy to report that, despite them just opening, the quality of the coffee and the speed of service is great. I enjoyed how I'm able to distinctively tell what flavor of coffee I'm drinking at HCR. I remember wanting to try their toffee crunch latte at their SF location, but unfortunately, it might've been a seasonable special, because they don't have that here. I ended up going with the Red Velvet Latte. It wasn't too sweet, the coffee was smooth, and they stayed true to the light ice request. There's a paper menu, but there were actually more options to order from when you look at the menu.

Yelp
We finally got around to checking out Home coffee roasters, which recently opened in downtown Sunnyvale. It's located near the Target and Teazzi, so there's plenty of parking nearby. Although there was a line to order, it didn't feel like it took very long, and the staff was very accommodating of customizations to requests. Their menu has many cute drink drinks, and they look adorable when served! My personal favorite was the Cookie Monster that I had adapted into a chai version! Thank you for the great service! Ps. If you're planning to visit, keep in mind that seating is very limited, with a handful of stools and very low tables. This is not a place you could come to do work, rather a perfect place for a quick drink pick up.

Yelp
Home is one of my favorite coffee spots in the city so I was elated to hear they opened up a location MUCH closer to me! It's a small space and gets packed super quick but they offer mobile orders for if you're in a rush! They have all of my favorites and seasonal offerings. I got my favorite which is the birthday latte and it was gorgeous and delicious! One of the current seasonal flavors is ube so I'll be back asap to try that! The vibe in the store is super cute and I LOVE the design on the cups. So excited to have a Home close to home and I will 1000% be back again soon!
google avatar

Haruna K.

Yelp
There are some unique menu and the cups are cute! They had a small seating area. There was a short line on the weekend afternoon. Matcha-gato: It had a light matcha flavor.
google avatar

Rose L.

Yelp
So happy a new coffee place came down from SF. And after having ube lattes in Hawaii -- Home does it just as well. The ube in the latte is really strong and you can taste yam bits in the coffee, masking the flavor perfectly. The matcha latte was delicious sugar free but I'm falling out of that phase. Their other drinks are so pretty but the line is long as everyone wants to try the new spot. Service is nice although there are no tables in store -- it is quite small.

Yelp
So excited to have this new addition to downtown Sunnyvale. We've been waiting for a coffee shop. We dropped by Friday late morning to check it out and to avoid the long lines. There was one person ahead of us for the kiosk. You can order with someone as well. I do wish they had an overhead menu as this caused people to browse the kiosk making it longer to order. We ordered an ice caramel soy latte and an ube latte. I liked my husband's hot ube latte a bit more than my iced caramel latte. A bit more expensive than other coffee joints in the South Bay. Decor is nice. Seating is limited. Unisex bathroom in the back. Someone mentioned no trash can - I don't recall one either. Plenty of garage parking nearby - free.

Yelp
Visited: Saturday around 11 AM Wait Time: Slight wait - took about 15 minutes to order and get my drink Parking: Plenty of parking available in nearby Downtown Sunnyvale structures Drink Ordered: * Birthday Cake Latte (hot only) * One of the most unique and popular * Got it less sweet - perfect balance * Beautiful latte art and coffee is high quality Seating: * Very limited - only two tables * More of a pickup-and-go type of café Service: * Super friendly and interactive baristas Overall: Great experience, unique drinks, would definitely return to try more!

Yelp
Brand new coffee place in downtown Sunnyvale. There are many really creative drinks on the menu, such as Nutella latte, birthday cake latte, as well as an ube latte. The drinks are served with beautiful latte art, and the birthday cake latte is especially colorful (with an option to add sprinkles). There are a variety of sweet and savory food options, such as a strawberry pastry and a "curry donut", which are decent too. The place is busy, but service is quick and efficient. Not many places to sit, but it is bright and comfortable.
google avatar

Sophie C.

Yelp
Excited for a Home in South Bay! There are two tablets to order from and a printed menu on the counter. No online ordering yet. They have all the usual drinks plus many "creative" ones. Make sure to get a hot latte if you want latte art. They also roast their own beans and sell bags for $18 each, $19.50 for decaf. This is definitely a to-go place, with only 5 chairs and 3 coffee tables. I'll be back to try more drinks.

Yelp
- matcha-gato , not bad but the presentation is so ugly lol. I also did joy receive the waffle cone on mine like the menu said - frozen chocolate for kids - expected it to be a frosty or milkshake consistency but was just chocolate milk with a scoop of ice cream in it. Kids still will enjoy it but idk what was "frozen" about it - Cookie Monster - ordered as ice, pretty good not too sweet I would order this again - coketastic - I think I found the issue is their coffee is a little acidic so it keeps leaving a weird aftertaste. After the ice cream melted a bit it toned down that acidity and it was drinkable , but I would not reorder Large pretty space but barely anywhere to sit, the bar area is pretty and service was nice, but I would not go go out of my way for it , willing to come try again once everything gets settle in more.

Yelp
I checked out this place right after work around 2:30 pm and parked on the street. U can also park at the target garage. I got a lavender latte. It was sooo delicious. Can't wait to get it again! The inside feels so clean and nice. Idk if I missed it, I didn't see a trash can. I love how the kiosk is so big and easy to read.

Yelp
A home away from home! Having lived in inner sunset for 5 years, I loved going to Home coffee roasters in outer sunset. I loved their creative drinks, hospitality, and latte art. After moving back to South Bay, I was craving a coffee place in Sunnyvale but was missing Home. But alas, Home coffee roasters opened in Sunnyvale, and I could not have been happier. I ordered the red velvet latte which was great and look at that latte art! My only quip is that there's not really seating in the shop to get work done, but I guess I can't have it all. Overall 10/10 recommend this home away from home!

Yelp
The sign for Home Coffee Roasters had been up for what seemed to be a long time, with no hint of when they would be opening (not even a vague "summer 2025"). Was on my way to Target on Sunday afternoon and noticed they finally opened! I walked in to take a look. The staff behind the counter was friendly, greeting us as we entered. I didn't see any posted menu signs on the wall. There was only one order kiosk and a printed price sheet on the counter. I don't know if there's online ordering. I did not see any signs with a QR code for this. I scrolled through the menu on the kiosk and noticed some price discrepancies on a few items. Some drinks were a priced a little higher on the kiosk (only by 25 cents) compared to what was printed on the price sheet left on the counter. I thought this was strange for a newly opened location. The menu includes the traditional coffee drinks you expect to find, as well as some of their own creations, plus tea, hot chocolate and juice. This place is small, with very little seating inside and no tables (that could be used for work/study). So don't come here expecting this to be your next "work/study outside of home" spot to hang out; try the 2 coffee shops on Murphy if that's what you're looking for. I love how they have floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides, making the inside space feel bright and not so cramped.

Yelp
Hint of cookie butter flavor which I don't mind. Can definitely taste the espresso so don't expect it to be sweet.

Yelp
Very impressed! I was very pleased with everything. With friends we tried the birthday cake, red velvet, salted caramel, and Cookie Monster, along with an ice coffee and drip coffee. Everything was very good! I'm usually not a big fan of super sweet coffee drinks, but all of them were very good and not overly sweet for me. Everyone working was very nice and friendly. We were nicely welcomed with lots of smiles. It was nice to talk to the staff a little even though they were super busy. Will definitely be coming back often for my coffee fix.

Yelp
This is my new favorite. Finally an amazing cafe at Sunnyvale for hot lattes. Baristas are super nice. Ordering is a breeze. And they have cute seating

Kami K.

Yelp
Christina is a very talented barista! She had great customer service. First time coming here.

Paula E.

Yelp
We're so excited to see them open! Had a solid latte on their opening day with really cute latte art. They have a lot of interesting drink options I'm excited to keep trying. Most importantly, their staff was super sweet and wonderful to talk to. Really appreciated that they were able to get my order out quickly, even with the huge line.

Vik S.

Yelp
Got the "Cookie Monster" iced drink. It was great! I got it regular sweet and I didn't think it was over sweet. I will definitely be returning to try out some of their other drinks. Definitely recommended.

Ariena C.

Yelp
Great coffee shop in downtown Sunnyvale-- lovely decor, amazing latte art, and great food presentation too! There's a big parking lot nearby. Seating is limited, but the baristas are super friendly!

J L.

Yelp
There was no one before me and it took such a long time to make my latte. I watched the barista struggle to even know how to operate the espresso machine. Had half a mind to go behind the counter and do it myself. My drink ended up with basically zero coffee extraction and tasted more like milk. Way overpriced for such experience. Just go up to the Starbucks upstairs in the Target.

K D.

Yelp
Came here a few days ago & had the Cookie Monster latte. As a coffee lover, I think about this drink everyday lol it's so yummy. 10/10

Kalli M.

Yelp
I really want to love this place as it is so cute! I live nearby and have been waiting for it to open! Unfortunately, I have gone back 3 times and it has left me disappointed. First time I got the chocolate mint latte and I was hoping it was philz mint mojito vibes with real mint and instead it was a really sweet artificial mint flavored syrup and the chocolate tasted like artificial chocolate flavored syrup. I then came back and got a mocha and same thing, the chocolate tastes like a super sweet artificial syrup. Not real chocolate. I decided a third time to get an iced oatmilk latte and it is better but I can barely taste the espresso. I wish there was more espresso in it. I really hope they can improve these things because I really want to love this place!

Emily B.

Yelp
To long it's not worth it for worth it they are only one person making the coffee and the front helping with the coffee ordering
