Me and my bf had fun here ! The food was absolutely good! I got birria quesadillas and they were soooooo bomb!😍 we made a reservation ahead of time it was $55 an hour for a bay. And all of the food items were under $20 . So it was affordable! When we went it wasn’t too packed. Definitely recommend for a date ! Or even to hang out with your friends and family.

The atmosphere is awesome. Bring the family or you can have drinks with friends. The smoked chicken wings were awesome. This spot hit on all the check boxes making it a new favorite spot when im in Houston. Booth was $80 for 1.5 hours split up to 10 people.

Google
⭐ 1 Star We waited over 20 minutes with no service before finally ordering drinks at the outside bar. After getting our drinks, we sat inside near four dirty tables and an unclean dugout area — no one ever came to clean them or check on us. Still no waitstaff approached us, so we had to go back up to the bar just to order food. Meanwhile, six employees stood around chatting in a circle, completely ignoring customers. When the food finally came out, it was actually really good — but by then, we were starving. Unfortunately, the terrible service and lack of cleanliness completely ruined the experience. Won’t be coming back or recommending this place.

My daughter’s softball team enjoyed their end of season party at Home Run Dugout! The experience was amazing. The bar, seating area, and outdoor field was perfect while we waited for our bay to be ready. The girls loved all the hitting simulations and games, along with the food.

First time visiting this establishment, it was a hour drive from our house and 30 minutes there made me question if I just wasted my time and gas. We did a reservation online hours in advance. We arrived before the reservation time to be told they will let us know when our bay is ready. After 15 minutes of waiting, I walked back to the desk to ask "As first-time visitors. How will we know when our Bay is ready?" She said we will text you. It's getting cleaned right now. After another 15 minutes I walked back to the desk to get an update and as soon as she seen me walking up I suddenly heard "Oh your Bay is ready now. " I asked the gentleman standing next to her. What was the point of a reservation when I've seen five families walk up with no reservation and get bays before us? He said it was just luck of the draw that your bay was being used and they went over their time. Once being walked to our Bay and actually figuring out how to work the screen because no instructions were given, I realized the bays are timed... So... how is it being used over the time limit?? Cut to our waiter who was very helpful, answered questions. Food and drinks came out pretty quick. He was sure to clean the area and checked on us several times. Food is a little pricey but it was good, drinks are drinks. Space for kids to play outside and families to hangout. Yes, I have recommended this place but I did warn them that there may or may not be a wait time and they may or may not need a reservation.

We had a spectacular evening. The venue is beautiful and cozy. There was live music (wonderful) and the service was excellent. The play areas were spacious and safe for children. We will definitely return.

My teenage sons and I visited Home Run Dugout on a weekday with some friends. We were a group of 7. It was our first time there. The girls at the front counter were friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions. Bays were 1/2 off that day, and we didn't have a reservation. We arrived around noon and the next available bay wasn't until 1:00 p.m. We booked the 1:00 and decided to walk around and order food to kill time. If you want the bay for a certain time, I suggest making a reservation. If you're not in a hurry, you can stroll the place while you wait. The bays are indoors, but the outdoor area is pretty big. There's several bars where you can order drinks. There are plenty of seating areas to just sit and hang out. They also have a turf field to play a game of wiffle ball -this is free. There is a stage for live music, t.v. screens, a photo booth. The food we ordered was good; we ordered pizzas, fries, mac'n'cheese, sliders, and quesabirria tacos. It is a cool & fun little spot!

Google
Absolutely loved it and so did the kids! No reservations required for outside sitting. Food was great and so were the margaritas and the mechiladas. The kids got sliders and hotdog. I had the nachos. Super chill atmosphere and the live music playing was the cherry on top, even on these hot summer days. The service was so polite and helpful. (that's hard to find now a days) The kids played baseball /ran around and there was even a bouncy house. We spent hours here. We will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Why 4 stars? Because this is a fun place to spend an afternoon. --- --- --- I've been wanting to check this place out for a while and I didn't think there was any better reason to finally do it, than to make it a Christmas present for my 10 year old nephew who's obsessed with baseball. We rented a bay for one hour and played all three games: just regular batting practice, home run derby, and something that I think was called Basebowl, which I'm still unclear on how it was different than home run derby. The technology is in the bays is good, not great. You should definitely not swing to hit the ball hard, as much as you should aim to just hit it straight up in the air. Even mishits are ruled home runs when you're on the easy setting, as long as you hit it up. Also, the balls sometime don't really come out of the tube right, but an employee showed us how to re-do a "pitch" about halfway through our session, so that was helpful. We also enjoyed playing wiffle ball on the field for a while. It would be the perfect place to play a legit wiffle ball game because it was a super nice turf field. We didn't order any food - only some waters and sodas, but it was convenient to have a guy walking around waiting on us. It's not cheap - about $100 an hour for a bay, but I did appreciate that they threw us some extra time. I said we only needed 5 more minutes and he gave us 15 to finish the last round of our game. I'll definitely be back in the future!

Yelp
If you like the possibility of a metal bat flying and hitting you this is your place!!!! Went here the day before Thanksgiving with family in from out of town, thought this would be fun, nope! 20 mins after getting to our bay, the grown man in the bay next to me accidentally let go of his bat. It flew through the OPEN bars that separate you (who thought of that...?) into my bay and smacked the top of my foot. The manager on duty had absolutely no clue what to do. He finally decided to call the GM whose best advice was to wheel me to my car in an office chair (since someone got hurt the night before and took their one wheel chair home) at this point there was no incident report made, they had taken none of my information and i was in great pain. After refusing the office chair the GM finally showed up 30 minutes later letting me know how much of a favor she was doing me by showing up since she was on her way home. An ambulance was finally called and i was taken to have my foot looked at. The manager said she'd comp our bill but guess what, nope we paid for it!! Did the problems stop there? No lol! I haven't heard one thing from the woman that's supposed to be handling my hospital bill. Next time it could be a child or someone less equipped to handle a metal bat. Luckily it was my foot and not my head! I'd bring a helmet if you still consider coming here. Or just do better home run dug out-

Yelp
The entire concept : great idea. Execution : not so much. Although this place is really cool, it seems like most workers aren't thrilled to be there. Service was subpar. A female food runner came to our section & dropped off pretzels in front of me but I told her I didn't order them. Instead of walking around the group asking who ordered pretzels, she just stood there. So I got up, walked around our party, & found the person who ordered it. Turned back to show her "see, that's how it's done" & she was already headed back to the kitchen. (Couldn't care less) Secondly, we had a large group but spent half the time waiting for the screen to load. Balls kept getting jammed, it was "pitching" the ball & counting it against us but the ball wouldn't come out. We got comped another 15 minutes but I felt like we wasted more time waiting for the screen to load. Overall, slightly disappointed in the whole baseball simulator & service. I understand that technology will have its flaws but I'm still amazed that I had to do the food runners job. Company culture is everything.

Yelp
I truly love and enjoy this place sooooo much !! Very fun and cute for a date night with your significant other ! This is also fun to go with your friends and family but I would suggest you go with a few people for the bay because of the time even though you get 90 minutes it does go by quickly ! I think 2-3 people per bay is better because then you get all the time needed for you and your friends to bat ! On Tuesdays they do half off the bay which is nice ! IPAs are a must when you are batting lol ! Also they have a cute outside patio area where kids can run around and adults can sit and watch the big screens! Depending on the day you go you might have to do a reservation, I would do one just incase to be safe! Lastly, the apparel there is one of a kind and very nice! Love the baseball aesthetic! Definitely will be coming back here !

Yelp
Pretty cool setup here. They have a nice virtual step up and you get to pick which stadium you want to play out of. Balls shoot out towards you at a decent pace and they have plenty of bats for people to choose from. The menu looked good several of the drinks looked amazing. Service can be a bit slow especially when busy but it was fairly recent when I was there. The venue is huge. Looks like they have live music on certain nights and some nice outdoor spaces. Great meet up for family friends or coworkers.

Yelp
Took grandson and granddaughter, he enjoyed it! Food and service need work. Can't say we will return, I was not impressed!

Yelp
I came here for a concert last night. I was not able to actually participate in the batting cages, but I plan to go back sometime! The place was really nice. The service was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised about how big it was to actually fit enough people to have a concert there. I am looking forward to my next visit! This is a new great place for concerts as well.

Yelp
Live Music was extremely loud, it was good just to loud. Our waitress was not attentive. We had to get another server to help us. The nachos and good flavor but need way more toppings 5/10 The burger was good. Not dry. 7/10 The private "batting cage" experience was fun but extremely over priced.

Yelp
So we drove all the way to Katy from Pearland to check out the Chihuahua Races at Home Run Dugout. I really wanted to have our chihuahua Chica in the race but she hates car rides, she hates being outside, she hates other dogs, and she hates people not in her family. LOL, so we did not take her this time. When we got there, they let us walk right in to find seating. There were almost no shaded seating areas for us. We found a table and a waitress came to us right away to take our order. They had $3 hotdogs for this chihuahua race so my son was pretty happy about that. There was a man with a guitar and was signing which was nice. He sang some good 90s and early 2000s songs. Which of course my kids had never heard of. They hosed down the turf with water to prepare for the race. Which I thought was great, it's extremely hot out and no one wants their dog's paws to burn. The dogs raced two at a time until the final championship race. A dog named Penelope won, and her owner got a $100 gift card. The second place got a smaller monetary gift card. This was a lot of fun. We have no interest in playing baseball, but we would definitely be back for future chihuahua races.

Yelp
Finally went for the first time(on July 19th) and really enjoyed myself! Went with the boyfriend for noche latina since Texas Salsa Congress was doing free salsa classes there. We got there early to enjoy some drinks and the staff was really nice greeting as we walked in. We didn't plan on eating there so we just walked over to the bar. The place is much bigger than I expected, with lots of bays, outdoor and indoor bars, and a mini baseball field. Plus space for a live band to play which is what we also got enjoy after that dance class. The 4 drinks we got were very yummy and the bartender would check on us every now and then to see if we wanted anything else. Wasn't too busy when we got there at about 6:45, but we left at around 9:15 to grab food elsewhere and came back to it being packed. Plus no parking. So if you plan on going head out probably aim to be there before 9pm. Even if just going to the bar, because when we went back there was no seats whatsoever (there was people standing being those seated). This place holds lots of events! So check their insta page or their website, never know if you'll find something for you and the family. Eventually I'll need to go back to try out the batting experience!

Yelp
The food was decent, and the service was great however $140 for one hour of swinging the bat and the machine that popped the ball not working well is not worth it. $140 HR derby $70 food for 2 & 3 alcoholic drinks $210/hr Na I'm good
google avatar

Jocelyn D.

Yelp
I would give more stars but I got my food before I got my Blue moon beer which didn't come with an orange wedge and my tequila came with NO lime. The kids sliders were good and you get two sliders but I ate one up and you get a choice of Mac n cheese, fries or fruit. The fruit was good and so was the slider. The pretzel with cheese was good too.
google avatar

Jeannie S.

Yelp
Came here for a fun date night but was sorely disappointed. Multiple bays that have no one playing but you need a reservation, even knowing that bays are for use when there are no reservations? service as well and no paper towels in the restroom? No thanks. Go to Popstroke instead.

Yelp
I was surprised that the Ginuwine and Sisqo concert recently was held here. The venue, I think, was too small for the concert. However, I must say that the lines were quite organized. Security was there to double check your items and a body scan. The bar was manned with bartenders - you just have to get in line - and since it was a concert, the line took quite long. As expected, the bathrooms were dirty - considering the amount of concert goers. We were on a standing room ticket so it was expected that we won't be as near by the stage. There was still food being seeved after the concert but it gave me eew feels because it has been out for ours and yet they still serve other for sale. Parking was hard because of the event. I reckon on a regular day, parking is better.

Chantel C.

Yelp
Great spot to come with family, friends, or even a corporate event. Fun for all ages. The staff was friendly, food delicious, and drinks strong. I came during brunch, and I was not disappointed. You must try the brisket hash and the mimosa flight you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to go back! Food 10/10 drinks 9/10 service 10/10 fun 10/10
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
Huge place for going on your own, with friends and/or family with the kids. There are a lot of things to do and very attentive servers with great live bands. One bartender (blonde in pics), only one did not seem very friendly and walked by my empty drink multiple times, and it was not very busy yet at outdoor bar. The other bartenders were great, and I am glad this place is here. The wildcatter saloon is a smidgen better with a more home feel, but this place is great also. Flip a coin for here or wildcatter saloon
google avatar

Adecia P.

Yelp
What a fun spot! It was a fairly large group of us. Most of us were first timers here. They did a poor job of explaining to us how to the game goes and how to set up. The atmosphere is great. Parking is plentiful. The bathroom is clean. The bartending service was great. Special shoutout to Shay for providing great service at the bar. The food was plentiful and enough to share. I will be back. This spot is an all around spot. Good for a date, group, and for children.

Yelp
It is a great place to hang out with friends; it is really fun and challenging, and the food is delicious. The wings are like charcoal cooked, and the flavor is great. Great customer service.

Yelp
Celebrated my son's birthday at home run dugout. It was a very fun atmosphere, the food was great, and the drinks were cold. Our waiter was super nice. Informed us on how to play, and let us know to take advantage of the teacher discount! Overall very fun experience.
google avatar

Emmalee S.

Yelp
This place has absolutely no respect for its neighbors in the residential areas. They play loud music that travels for miles (I live over two miles away and can hear it all). It might have been okay on a weekend, but they consistently host events like this on weekdays. Even now, it's 11 on a Thursday and they are being very disruptive. I have work, my kids have school, and no one can sleep because of this inconsiderate business. I will never go here and will never recommend it to any of my friends. TURN YOUR MUSIC DOWN!
google avatar

Daniela R.

Yelp
This place is very unique. I don't think I've never been anywhere like this. They have perfect shareables, a place for kids to run around, play baseball and burn some energy. Oh and great drinks too. We didn't get to do the batting cages but they look fun. I had the drink called Purple Stuff and it was dangerous hahaha. I don't drink often and it went down pretty easy. Lol. I definitely would recommend y'all check it out. It's a fun experience. 10/10
google avatar

Kehmia T.

Yelp
Cool gem in the Katy area. Like the top golf of baseball. Cocktails were decent. I didn't eat but my friends enjoyed the fries and wings (small portion though for the price). As far as the actual activity- if you're not good at swinging (me), I say still try it out! The games kept freezing and the staff tried their best to help us out. If you live in the area- check it out!

Jay G.

Yelp
I worked here for 2 years before I was treated so wrong and wrongfully terminated. They told me I left my shift early when in reality my relief came in early for an event at bays 15 and 16 which is why I was able to leave early. They claimed they were looking for me but never decided to call me . They've claimed I've done this before but could not find other examples of me doing this. I really believed this is all because I accused them of discrimination months ago. This place treats their employees like crap they will build a whole building for guest before even building an area for their employees to eat when it's raining. They care only about the guest and not their employees. They show favoritism and it's clear as day and will fire people for stuff they make up when there are people who actually need to be fired like some of the managers. They claimed they wanted to fire me that day but waited a whole week and why is that? They have managers who will straight up tell you to shutup because they are having a bad day but tell us to leave our problems at home. I will definitely be reaching out to a Lawyer. This is not a place you want to be.

Yelp

Yelp
We went here for the first time for KMNO. It was pretty impressive! Way bigger than I thought it was! The whole place was huge and very clean! The staff is friendly and quick. They served delicious food and there was so much to do! Multiple sitting areas, bars, stages for live performances! We will be back to experience it without an event!

Yelp
The bases are loaded, and you need to make a home run to win the game. Its your time to shine, you are Jose Altuve, are you up for the task? Ha! Home Run Dugout almost makes you feel like a baseball star...almost. Came here with a few buddies, since we loved the concept of a restaurant/beer garden with a baseball theme all around. If you are a baseball fan I definitely recommend giving this place at least a try. You walk in and there are greeted with an outdoor area that has a baseball field, live music (at least the Friday we were there), and some virtual baseball games. Overall, this place is beautiful. There are multiple options for beers on tap, cocktails, and they have descent food options. I ordered the Southwest Bowl, and paid extra to add chicken on it. This was accompanied with a cider. Overall, the bowl was fabulous, I would return to this place simply for the bowl! However, I give this place 3-stars because their VR baseball is a bunch of nonsense. You pay over 75 bucks, to pay a game that is incredibly over priced, and definitely not worth it. Come here for a bite, a drink, and some atmosphere, but make sure you avoid the VR nonsense that they try to sell upon you.

Yelp
We came here for a work team building event and I was wow'ed by the friendly and attentive staff - they really look like they enjoy what they do and were enthusiastic and fun to be around. The facility itself is really nice as well; a great blend of indoor, outdoor, and covered spaces. I was surprised at how much fun I had as someone who has never hit a baseball in my life - was I good? No. Did I enjoy myself? 100%.

Yelp
Im a Gen-Z so we 100% understand customer service in this generation but when I say this is the worst most garbage servers you can find at any establishment in Houston, Come to Home Run Dugout in Katy!! 7-8 Servers all standing in a corner talking and on their phones standing watching people walk in on a SLOW Sunday afternoon. 10 minutes for literally any service on a almost dead Weekend. You could hire the Homeless and get better Response time and Customer service. Clown establishment
google avatar

Wesley S.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Great atmosphere and concept. SERVER: Ask for NICOLE!! She was amazing! Amazing service. The games are fun and so much to do. Today was the grand opening. The wings were awesome. A but Smokey but I'm a good way! The old fashion was excellent!!
google avatar

Tessa H.

Yelp
This place is fun and has a great vibe to it but it is overpriced. It was very disappointing to get the check knowing we would have had the same experience at top golf. Nice change from golf though but just not worth the cost & lack of service.

Kim M.

Yelp
Food was ok, but the music is so loud, it made the whole experience miserable. I couldn't even hear the person sitting right by me.
google avatar

Yelp
We had the best time! Our group of 12 were taken care of all night by Gabriel! We were visiting from FL and will definitely go here again the next visit to Houston!
google avatar

Susan P.

Yelp
This is an incredibly fun venue for family and friends to gather. Doesn't matter if you can play, this is more like a video game version. Each group has their designated area behind their batting venue. Food and beverages are delivered to you but they are not the star of the show. Beverages have an edge over the food which was similar to movie theater cuisine.
google avatar

Yelp
Went last night fir the first time for happy hour and to watch the Astros!! Excellent atmosphere!! You feel baseball!! Very nicely put together! The drink specials during the game were great! Excellent service!! And the chicken sandwich was delicious!!!

Yelp
It is very commercial. Tried the footlong beef hotdog with chili cheese, onions etc. it was $18. From 1 to 10. It was a 2. It had a not so pleasant tangy taste to it. I wasn't sure if the hot dog was bad or not so I didn't eat it all. It came with homemade chips but they were just basic and it looked like they sprinkled some taqin on them. The french fries were just okay. The margarita was strong but still not very tasty. It appears the prices are pretty steep for the quality of food they offer.
google avatar

Ricky R.

Yelp
Great for normal nights. DO NOT ATTEND A CONCERT HERE! They will rip you for parking, $20 fee, normal nights parking is free. They auto-grat each beverage 20% without you knowing, then build it into the prices: $8 can beer $10 draft $13 mixed drink Then expect you to tip after-the auto grat is not up front nor spoken about at all. We had to ask the staff about it, it was not disclosed at all. Ironically, they ask you again for additional tip when you close out. Music wise, unless you're directly in front of the stage, the music is terrible. The place wasn't designed for live music whatsoever, please keep that in mind when you travel here. Menu is severely limited compared to normal, which I understand but again, extremely marked up. You got lazy people sitting in a chair, charging $15 for a P.O.S hamburger and requesting to be tipped after you got tip built into virtually every product you offer?! Y'all need to stay in Dallas and stop ripping off the people in Katy/Houston.

Blanca S.

Yelp
Had some coupons so came to check it out! We had a burger plate, street tacos, kids sliders and chip and dip Service was good. We got our food pretty quick! Food was good - no complaints. We had the Sunday brownie dessert and it was delicious! Our server was nice and friendly. Too bad it's a bit of a drive for us but I'm glad we came by to check it out.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Plan ahead and make a reservation 2 weeks out. We ended up having a day date at 10 am in a Saturday because it was the only time left lol . We all had a blast though. The food and drinks were all good and great service! We will be back!

Yelp
The food and drinks were amazing. Every single worker was so kind and attentive. The environment was so cool and the wiffle ball field is so fun if you have a group to play with!!! *bathrooms were clean!!!*

Yelp
It was a 10 minute wait to speak with the hostess. We were seated in a timely manner. We sat at the table for 15 minutes and a server did not come to our table. No one spoke to us. The servers/bartenders at the bar just looked at us. We decided to leave and eat at another restaurant. Try Whiskey Cake next door. Fantastic customer service.

Yelp
"We had a great time! The food was good, our waitress was great, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. However, the price of a bay is way way way way way way way way overpriced. You're hitting rubber balls into an electronic screen, no where near a real baseball experience. TopGolf is far better and more reasonably priced. Also, the Tiger Woods putting place is far more reasonably priced. Probably won't be back unless there is some sort of special price/discount/coupon. Too bad."

Yelp
We visited here on a Monday after trying to come during the weekend and learning they were fully booked. The food is decent and will fetch you through your batting times. I wish it were more clear how to get a less visible cage -we were batting in the open indoor space but would have loved more intimacy if possible. There's a nice sized field for kids to run excess energy off. On good weather days this may just be a good place to sit outside and watch baseball on the screens they have.

Yelp
Love this place and you don't even have to love baseball to come here! We've come to just hang out and watch the Astros or just listen to live music. The last time, we finally hit some balls and it was so much fun! They have so many events in the huge outdoor area and tons of TV's for game watching days. Lots of parking and kid friendly as well!

Yelp
Ok,where do I start with Home Run Dugout venue in Katy.I'll put it to you this way...I will never go back there for a concert of any sorts.Paid for VIP table/service and got none of that.We were lucky to find a table on our own because you find out when you get there that it's first come first serve which was never mentioned when you pay for the VIP table on the website. The mapping on the website of where the VIP seating was supposed to be showed a small area of VIP seating. We arrived and basically half the grounds are VIP which was triple the amount of "VIP seating".This made for slow service which is mentioned on their website that we would have our own personal service and no long lines for food and drinks. That was a lie!The food we ordered was good(tacos/quesadillas).Good to see La Mafia and support the local band but the venue made a stealing with the VIP tickets on that one.Moral of the story:If you go for a concert, don't pay extra for VIP service. You won't get any perks with that.

Yelp
Ambiance is Great! We visited Dugout on Christmas Eve. Very thankful to the servers and staff for working during the holidays. Service was timely and consistent. My only complaint is the quality of food and the price. Food is a 5/10 at best.

Yelp
Came here all the way from Pearland for a bday party and wasn't too impressed. The bday guy booked a bay so that was neat but with the insane amount of servers running around our table stayed cluttered with all of our dirty dishes and surprisingly our burger came out before our two drinks. Drinks were way too sweet and the patty melt burger bread was salty! . A live band was playing and they did NOT sound good. Music quality wasn't good and it was so loud we couldn't talk to each other after our reservation was up. This place seems very unorganized, and it also seems like it doesn't know what it wants to be. A live music venue? Baseball hitting bays? A little league? (There were a lot of kids playing on the field in front of the stage) a bar?? I dunno, with all this stuff going on it feels very chaotic. It's not a place I'd think to visit again and I like baseball. The concept seems good but needs a revisit on the execution.

Yelp
Food is good we had rented a batting case but the guy serving keep trying to rush us out. Also the waiters need to be move attentive. Spend 15 min waiting to see who would come to our table. Other then that the place is beautiful

Yelp
The ambiance is super chill and relaxing! Came here for a happy hour with a bunch of folks. However, they don't actually have happy hour at the moment lol. The vibe was there, the drinks were good, but the food was very middle of the pack. Nothing special. Typical bar food. A tad overpriced for what you get. I wouldn't write home about it at all. We didn't get to actually play any games, but they seem to be very interactive and fun! The service at the front, when you first come in is a tad overwhelming. There were about 6 people just hanging out talking and when I walked up none of them greeted me. They just stared at me like I was supposed to know what to say. The front greeting area could def use some work. But the rest of the people I interacted with (bartenders and servers) were awesome!
