On the road in the Midwest, there are lots of breakfast options in the large cities. But which one should you try? If you're visiting Wichita, KS you can't miss with your morning meal at HomeGrown. We were fortunate to arrive a little before 8:00 on a Saturday, so no waiting in line! Service was excellent by Sammie, and the meal for five people was out pretty quickly. Everyone in our party was pleased with the meal and preparation and you can't beat that. I don't have any negative comments about our visit and highly recommend HomeGrown West in Wichita. Great experience.

Came here with a large group, 12 of us and we were able to make a reservation so we had no wait. They served us quickly and the food out did not take long. I ordered the Carmel iced latte and it was good, nothing to rave about but gave me the caffeine kick I needed. For my entree I order the Denver omelette and it was great! The cheese was stringy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. All the flavors paired so well! The jam they served with the English muffin was delightful! Needed more of it by the end. This is a great brunch spot for groups, food options for everyone and quick service!

As always, exceptional. Food is always on point! So shout out to those amazing chefs in the back of house! You’re killing it! Keep up the great work! Front of house and our amazing server was outstanding as always. Homegrown is our regular place to go for breakfast. I love everything about this place. But most importantly the fact that everything is made from scratch. And as a fellow chef, I absolutely love this. Because this is how I also cook. Food is my love language and I can tell it is yours too. Highly recommended hands down every time! ❤️

Everything we ordered was delicious. And the sever was really nice. We ordered turkey and avocado egg Benedict with potatoes. Salsa Verde pork and egg. And the little one got the kids triple play with a choice of 2 eggs, one meat, and a pancake with sprinkles. Everything was gone, just a couple of things were left, but it was so good! Hope to go back soon!

The food was just so perfect. Thr whole family enjoyed the waiter. He was super nice and funny. We all felt bad everyone has to work on Easter but they all did great!! I loved my coffee and had super cute bee on top of the coffee. Made me smile. Thank you!

We sat outside. Shorter wait time. Tables had umbrellas. Nice breeze, less people. Food was excellent and not priced as high as some of the chain places for breakfast.

Had the sweetest brunch date with my mom at HomeGrown West and everything was incredible! We started by sharing their new Lemon Pop'd Heart — and wow, it was absolutely devoured in minutes. Bright, fresh, and perfectly sweet! I also loved their Peach Basil Iced Tea, a little bit too sweet, but easily added some water and it was PERFECT! For lunch, I ordered the Cuban Sammy with a house salad on the side, and I have to say — that salad was hands down the best I've had in a long time. So flavorful and crisp! My mom got the John’s Denver omelette with rosemary potatoes and an English muffin, paired with their amazing berry purée. Every bite was packed with flavor and clearly made with love. From the cozy vibe to the standout food, HomeGrown West continues to impress. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Food was great. The cinnamon pop heart was a great starter to share. The Florentine Benedict was pretty good as well. Service was average at best. I don’t think our waitress was having a great day.

Fabulous brunch with lots of variety! The adult drinks really made the morning. Appreciate being able to get on the waitlist EARLY - highly recommend doing that too as the wait was up to 90 minutes at one point in the morning. Restaurant was a little chilly and loud due to all the people inside. We always come here when we visit Wichita.

I don't understand the attraction to this place, the food and service is only "alright." I ordered a $12.50 order of biscuits and gravy and received a VERY small dollop of gravy. I went ahead and started eating thinking my server would return soon, but he only returned when I was nearly finished with my food. First of all you only receive one and a half biscuits, so I saved the majority of the biscuits for what I hoped would be some extra gravy since I received so little. The server told me that it would cost an extra dollar. Unacceptable! These prices are too high to be paying for something you didn't receive in the first place. I spent $24 before tax and tip and you can't give me some more gravy? This is the final time I come to this establishment. The ambiance is nice but for what?

Always great service and the food is so good. Warm comfy atmosphere. Delicious on every visit

HomeGrown Breakfast offers a delightful experience with varied wait times but fast, attentive service. The homemade HG tart with brown sugar had a sweet and delicate pastry crust that was just right. 'It Takes the Cake' breakfast plate was well-balanced with eggs, pancakes, and breakfast meat cooked to perfection. The biscuits and gravy were a highlight, served generously in a bowl with perfectly seasoned potatoes. The eggs were cooked just the way I like them. The atmosphere, including the Kindness Corner, added to the uplifting experience. Can't wait to return!

We love homegrown food and service. But this location always seems to have timing issues. Checked in 30min before getting to restaurant and then got here when told and still sat waiting 1 hour and this isn't the first time

Had the Yum Biscuits and Gravy and it was delicious as always! I ordered the Jolly Green and it didn't taste the way it has almost every time I've ordered it in the past. The service was great!

As good as advertised. And everyone is so kind. Just like they promised it would be.

Came here for breakfast to see what the hype was all about. If you've dined in at first watch before then you would like it here. They offer fresh juice (yaaaay!) it was really good and the to go containers were very fitting for the juice. I tried the fresh squeezed orange juice and the Jolly Green a must try. For my breakfast I ordered the Veggies Lover omelette / egg whites to go. The omelette's comes with an English muffin and potatoes. My omelette was made wrong ( no egg whites). Sammie and the manager Matt made sure it was made the correct way the second go round. My food was very good and the potatoes were perfectly made. I wish I could've dined in but I had to get back to work. décor was really cute. I recommend giving this place a try. I almost ate all my food before realizing I didn't snap any pictures of it. Lol

Excellent service! Our server Christian was very friendly and attentive to our order: everything from going light on the syrup for the perfect Lavender Latte, forwarded our request for extra crispy and delicious Yoder bacon....and he even listened attentively when he heard we were planning on sharing our meals so we could explore the seasonal flavors....he exceeded our expectations by having our two meals split equally into mirrored platters! Wow!! Above and beyond! Wish all restaurants did that! His supervisor checked in with us too and was very friendly and welcoming!

It is a very busy place! We recommend to either go early or use the waitlist online. It is well worth the wait though!! The food is so delicious. I either get the biscuits and gravy or avocado toast. My husband does the BYOB build your own breakfast. The ambiance is farmhouse homey feeling.

When I first scheduled my visit it wouldn't let me until I was at least in 15 miles of range so I couldn't reserve my space then when I got in that range the wait was pretty long when I finally got seated before I touched anything I saw a LIP STAIN on the cup that the waiter seated me at and it was my cup the prices were kind of crazy but it makes sense because the food was pretty good the Nutella pop tart was yummy and on the way out I got a free sticker but having a lip stain on your glass is absolutely disgusting to me

The wait list is worth getting on in YELP app. It cuts down your wait time when getting to the restaurant. Still had to wait 20 minutes because we had 6 people in our group. The host was honest and said it might be a bit, but it was better than waiting an hour. Our waitress was very accommodating. The mocha was awesome. My grandson ordered off the kids menu and he ate everything. Kids can be picky, but he ate everything. The Gimme the meats scramble was delicious. Nice Welcoming atmosphere. Would go back again. The sunrise juice is refreshing. Thank you again for an awesome experience.

Usually pretty busy even during week day brunch. Friendly service. Decent cocktail drinks. Good food. Loud, but ambiance is nice. The apple cider with fireball good and strong.

Lemon season is my favorite and it's coming to a close. We went today to get one last lemon poptart. The service today wasn't as good as it normally is; but I'll still be back.

my absolute GO TO breakfast/ brunch/ lunch place!! the avocado toast is my favorite!!! pro tip: add feta cheese on top!!!! I could eat this place multiple times a week!! the seasonal menu is so fun and different! i love to see what they come up with! the service is absolutely phenomenal! they are soooo welcoming and kind and patient even tho almost always their lobby is packed! they sure know how to do things if you are consistently busy like they are! anyone new to wichita i always recommend Homegrown!!

Our server was amazing. Very friendly and amazing service. Food was delish. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were very good. Bacon & eggs good too. We asked about call ahead seating as we had 10. It worked out great on a Sunday. We were seated within 5 minutes of time we asked for. Highly recommend eating here.

Service was great, quick. Had the iced lavender latte and couldn't taste the lavender but it was still good. Carrot cake pancakes are pure sugar, exactly what I wanted. Hash looked good and all the egg yolk were gorgeous and dripping. Best experience I've had here. Except the turkey sausage was sooo dry but it was also irrelevant so just an FYI

Always a lovely place to eat. Many wonderful choices on their menu. Several choices for gf also which I so appreciate! Amazing servers too! We meet our family for a nice breakfast every chance we get!

I absolutely love HomeGrown! I have been waiting a while to write this review so I could get a good taste of multiple menu items. The breakfasts here are delicious. Eggs are always fresh, and all pancakes, french toast, and biscuits (THESE ARE A MUST TRY!) are homemade & extremely fresh. The French toast in particular is absolutely delicious-made with thick slices of toast and cooked to perfection with perfect notes of rich egg, nutmeg, and cinnamon. They offer several different flavors. I've only tried the original French toast. I also love their homemade oatmeal. It comes in a soft bar form, and they give you milk to pour over the bar, which turns it into an oatmeal consistency. Another noteworthy menu item is the homemade coffee cake, which comes with homemade caramel syrup to pour over the top. I haven't tried too many of the brunch menu items, apart from the Cubano sandwich which was very tasty. The espresso and iced coffees are also good, but nothing extraordinary. I will once again emphasize how delicious their biscuits are! They are a MUST TRY. So fluffy, soft, chewy, buttery and just amazing! If I were Plankton, I'd be trying to steal this biscuit recipe instead of the krabbie patty recipe! Definitely check this place out if you find yourself in either Maize or Wichita. They have two locations! Oh, and finally the price point is a little pricier than places such as ihop or Denny's, but it's worth every single penny.

an hour and a half wait list but yet you told us when we got there that you don't take reservations??? You just expect people to sit & wait around? No place is worth sitting on a hard bench in an overcrowded foyer for that long. Sorry. We left.

On the expensive side, but the good is great. Usually the service is 7-8 out of 10. I've had a couple of the many times I've been in when the service was not great, but it seems like the servers are all taking care of more area than they should be, so it's somewhat understandable. Homemade pop tarts are delicious. I usually get the biscuits and gravy and it's delicious! 4/5 due to the price

Amazing food, so fresh n tasty. The staff was wonderful and great recommendations. Worth the wait, that wasn't long. Always tray a seasonal items! Never disappointed...Ala'cart a pancake

We love HomeGrown and go as much as we can. The farm to table food always tastes better no matter what we order. The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean.

We aren't breakfast people, but we decided to go grab breakfast after an early-morning doctors appointment. We were seated very quickly, which was nice. But then we sat and sat until someone came along and said have you been waited on yet? She got a waiter for us. Someone brought us a craft of water which contained something black and slimy on the inside. I took my spoon,and nudged it and it floated to the bottom of the carafe. There was one gentleman in particular who was in charge of busing tables and setting them up for the next guest. He would buss the nasty dishes and then turn around and go and get clean dishes without washing his hands or using a tray. That's gross enough, but he was carrying the dishes by piling them against his chest. I tried to get a good picture but was unable to without being too obvious. I can't tell you how grossed out we were. I feel like I need a tetanus shot or antibiotics. We will never go back.

SERVICE, FOOD and Ambiance OUTSTANDING! We brought a larger group than usual, and they handled us with ease! We had 4 month old who ended up like this!

Went to Homegrown on N Maize Road again today and had a Curried Brussels Sprouts/Sweet potato bowl. I was able to special order with no farro and extra greens to make it gluten-free due to having Celiac Disease. It was so delicious, I wanted to order a second full order to go!! The Peach Basil lemonade was also refreshing and probably the best lemonade drink that I've ever had! The server was sweet, attentive and brought everything right out as well. Another great visit to My Homegrown with a friend!

Delicious!! From the start, the space is welcoming and the staff is kind. We had no wait and seated at a table for two. Our waitress Sara was extremely helpful navigating the menu. I settled on the sweet potato pancakes, two eggs and bacon! Yummy options to start the day!

Great server, Coulter, great food and great vibe! The food is consistently great tasting - no complaints, but I'd love to see the coffee be as great as the food.

Busy place for breakfast/brunch on the west side. Stopped here on a Friday morning and had a 15 minute wait time. No call ahead but you can put yourself on line in yelp. Okay customer service. Waiter seemed very busy. I like that they bring you water and coffee so you do not have to keep asking for a refill. Got the vegan omelet and added sausage. Good portion size for omelet. Potatoes wedges was tasty. English muffin was okay, I did not care for the jam they used. Overall, good breakfast/brunch food and reasonable price.

Best breakfast in town. I love how they change the menu based on season and you get to enjoy so many different meals. Also, the mimosas are delicious

Delicious and fun! Something for everyone. Love the coffee cake and pop tarts as a breakfast appetizer. We are from out of town but eat here every time we come to town.

This place is so good! Must start with coffee cake! I always get Salsa Verde Pork & Egg and my husband gets the country Benedict.
