Perfect spot for breakfast in Philly! We got an iced matcha with s’mores flavor and cold brew with salted caramel which were both very delicious. The YoBo is very filling and yummy, and the steak in my croissant with cream cheese (plus steak) was exactly what I wanted and more! The staff is all friendly and the place is cute and homey.

Massive breakfast sandwich, I got the hot Italian sausage egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel. Probably the best breakfast sandwich I had in Philly and I’ve been living here for 30 years

If South Philly was a coffee shop, @homegrown215 would be it. Delicious locally supplied coffee beans from @beantobean, delicious donuts and breakfast sandwiches. They have a cute eat in area and the staff are lovely. I can't wait to visit again!

Probably the worst experience I’ve had in Philly. My iced latte was not well prepared, which I shared and expressed but still was not accommodated. Our order was completely wrong and we waited an additional 30 minutes for our meal to be fixed. It’s sad because I try to support local businesses but experiences like this make it difficult to show love and appreciate when it is not reciprocated. You never know who will be walking into your establishment 🤍

What a great place! Loved my egg cooper sharp bacon burrito! Everything is fresh and delicious! Lots of options, even a cold box filled with more options.

I loved coming here! The inside is so warm and welcoming. It is a small space but great for a couple people to chat or to come alone. They have so many flavours for lattes and I tried the banana chocolate and it was amazingly delicious. The service I received was so friendly! I wish I was in South Philly more often so I could try it all the time.

Best breakfast sandwich we have ever had!!! My husband got the Yobo (waffle breakfast sandwich), and I got a jalapeño cheddar breakfast sandwich. I couldn't get a pic of his because he ate it so fast, hahaha. I will say the wait for our food took a while, but it's definitely worth the wait. I also got an iced coffee with peanutbutter flavoring, which was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Closer to a 4.5. Fun ambiance and good food but room for improvement. Got the yobo, steak burrito, side pancake, an iced latte with banana cold foam and an americano. Favorite was steak burrito. Perfectly seasoned, filled with steak and gooey cheese. The yobo was fun and super filling, my only thing is I wished the waffle ridges would be a little less hard. It was getting close to the scraping roof the mouth situation. Pancakes were decent, it feels very homey. Coffees were good but I can't say it's the best I've had but I wouldn't mind getting them again if I was getting food here.

HomeGrown fills an area void of decent coffee in the area South of Passyunk Ave/West of Broad. Parking is typical for South Philly, get it where you can with angled parking and regular street parking. The interior is colorful and the walls are art filled with nods to Philly sports, famous Philadelphians and most importantly some Italian heritage of South Philly. The theme matches the HomeGrown name, but can get a bit tiring in my humble opinion. There were a few seats inside and outside there were a few tables and benches. The inside was clean and the kitchen area in the back was spotless. The menu boards are colorful with details of all offerings except food prices which have a disclaimer at the bottom that prices are subject to change. Photos of their Jan 2022 prices show breakfast sammies at $7.49, but currently they are $12.99. The staff was friendly. Their coffee is Bean2Bean which has a heck of a presence in the Philly market. On my first visit I tried their drip coffee and an espresso. The drip coffee was a simple medium roast with earthy notes along with berry and light chocolate. I would guess its Bean2Bean Schuylkill Select. If your into Dunkin's regular coffee this would be its equal. The espresso (possibly Bean2Bean '76 espresso) was strong and bold with caramel and dark chocolate. On my second visit I had a double macchiato $3.49+.99 and a sausage, egg and cheese on a jalapeno bagel $12.99. I had no idea the price was $12.99 until I was rung up (plus a 4% fee). The sandwich was big with two round pieces of sausage, a ton of egg on a bland bagel. If I had to do it all over again, I would go with the sandwich on a roll from Cacia's bakery. The macchiato was strong and made just right. I had a good experience at HomeGrown. Pricing on the menu boards would be great (if I missed it I apologize, but I didn't see pricing on the TV's). The portion was huge as was the price. Maybe adding an additional lower priced/smaller portion to their breakfast sandwiches could work? Next trip I'll try their cheesesteak off the lunch menu. Thanks guys!

Food was really good so were the lattes. It is a little expensive but I'd rather pay more for a local spot. I had the chocolate banana latte and it was excellent. Would definitely get breakfast here again.

Such a cute casual place! The walls are covered in Philadelphia inspired art and sports memorabilia. As someone visiting the city, I loved it! We got two coffees (Americanos) and two breakfast sandwiches (one pork roll, American cheese and egg on a croissant and one bacon, American cheese and egg on a sesame seed bagel). Both sandwiches were delicious and the Americanos were surprisingly good, especially because it's such a simple drink. The service was solid - we ordered ahead online and our food was hot and ready to go when we arrived 15 min later. Definitely a cute coffee shop to visit for breakfast.

This place has thr most amazing small town, homey feel to it. I stumbled across here one day just looking for a bagel and went back the next day because it was so good. They make the most incredible breakfast sandwiches on a waffle! Everyone here is nice and friendly. They greeted most people that walked in by name, which was so nice to see. I would definitely recommend coming here for breakfast.

Food was great, but very expensive. The prices aren't listed on the menu which can be misleading. The coffee is pretty good too but charging for flavor, size, and non-dairy subs makes it very costly. overall good experience, just pricey

Let me say, the coffee was great. The breakfast food I got ($46) was horrendous. I waited around 15/20 minutes for a breakfast box and was blessed with aramark-quality microwavable/toaster oven waffles, sausage and eggs. I don't think a single thing was made back there. Which is crazy because there were about 12 staff behind the counter, not a single one cooking. "This place has some really good reviews", I thought. Now I see, theres something fishy going in here, because the food was not good, the service was okay at best, and the vibes inside of the restaurant were cool. I give 2 stars, and the only thing that warrants more than 1 are the newspapers and pictures in the walls. If you're coming here for a good meal, my suggestion is don't. This place was a total letdown and insanely priced for its quality.

The food selection has grown, and the coffee products are second to none. Great place to go first thing in the morning to relax for breakfast or if you want a special treat for yourself and your family on the weekends.

I was looking for a breakfast spot to try out while visiting in Philly. I found this spot on Yelp and it was right down the street from us. It's a small place on the corner, but walking in we were immediately greeted and took some time to look at the menu. The place is very homey. I went with the s'mores iced coffee and my sister got the strawberry green tea. Both were very good and tasty. For our food we decided to eat in and get the Box Breakfast. Whew, the reviews do not lie about the tater tots, they are super crispy. The pancakes and French toast were delicious, everything was well seasoned as well. Definitely check out Homegrown if you're in the area.

The food here was AMAZING we got the yobo and bagel. They were to die for I don't know how they make it so good. The bagel and waffles were fluffy and soft. I'd so recommend coming here after you get out of the airport. They didn't jip on anything they loaded it on with the bacon and the coffee was sooo smooth. The girls at the counter were so sweet and could tell we were out of town. It was also really clean inside and homey.

The food is SO good. Portion sizes are 10/10. The ambiance and service is amazing. The breakfast bagel and coffee is my go to every time

Really innovative, delicious, and hearty breakfast sandwich here, with egg, cheese, and potato slammed between two incredibly fluffy and fresh waffles, drizzled with maple syrup. The sweet and savory combo is so good. 5 stars!!!

Parking is an issue at this location but when I tell you that this is one of the entire best breakfast sandwiches I've had in my whole life !!! I will be revisiting and revisiting and revisiting! It's super clean and service was amazing. They have multiple choices for breakfast as well as drinks. This is a MUST TRY.

Solid all around. From the coffee to the food to the service. Lots of different flavors that you can mix with coffee made from freshly ground beans. Breakfast menu is simple but delicious with rolls from Cacia's bakery. Had a pork roll egg and cheese on an everything roll. Think everything bagel seasoning on a philly hoagie roll. Great combo. Also tried the breakfast burrito with sausage egg and cheese. It comes with salsa which I wish there was more of. Burrito was medium sized but hefty. Service was super friendly. They knew regulars by name and made newcomers feel very welcomed. Lots of philly sports memorabilia on the walls fitting the south philly vibe. Affordable prices and great service takes this place over the top

The decor is vintage Philly sports and culture and fun to look at. The sandwiches and coffee are amazing and the staff is absolutely awesome! I would highly recommend this place!

This is the spot every neighborhood needs. I come grab my americano in the morning. It's worth the chilly walk. Good people, good food, what more can you ask for. I come here 3-4 times a week.

Great breakfast food and quick service, but sandwiches recently got an insane 20% price increase. Businesses take advantage of inflation to excuse price hikes, don't get taken for granted.

Their waffle was really good and same with their coffee. But theres no seating (like two tables) and it gets really crowded and busy so if you want to get food here just take it to go.

Homegrown Coffee is one of the things I look forward to the most when I visit Philly from California! Even have to buy their grounds to take home. Highly recommend everything they have!

Hands down best iced coffee in south Philly! They have a great assortment of flavors to add to your coffee! My favorite is toasted marshmallow. I also LOVE their breakfast burritos. Everyone there is so friendly too! This place is the best and I can't recommend it enough!

Let's just call it....anytime you see an establishment called Homegrown and Coffee in the same sentence you have to try it...no questions asked you just have to pop your head in there and look for signs of cooking and coffee. With HomeGrown you immediately get both...I was surprised to see such an easy online ordering system so I ended up ordering two to three meals worth but it was fine...more for the next day and more to share. I lucked up and found relatively close street parking and walker into the store to the perfect smell of breakfast and coffee. Everything is cooked fresh straight from the griddle. I took a seat to wait for my food and was instantly greeted and asked if I was waiting for an order. I tried the steak and cheese, pork roll, pancakes to go, and a breakfast burrito that makes you want to drive from MD. My coffee was just as good...locals near and far I'm sure frequent this neighborhood gem. The menu has a little bit of everything for all to try. It's Philadelphia so not much seating inside but I'm sure you can make it work.

The YOBO Sandwich with sausage and hash browns. It was great, the waffle was crispy with a bit of maple syrup, and I really liked the sausage patty / eggs inside. My wife split one with a friend and she regrets her choice. I also got an iced coffee and it was good too.

The Yobo is outstanding. Must try! Also, the banana chocolate hot coffee is really tasty.

Great little corner neighborhood spot with freshly baked muffins, bagel sammies and La Colombe! Oh, and yummy avocado toast! Yes please! The owners couldn't be sweeter and the place is so welcoming, but we prefer to sit outside in their cozy two person handmade wood bench, especially when we bring the pup along. This is such a great place in South Philly to grab a quick cup of joe. The owner even made me freshly brewed unsweetened iced tea that's not listed during my last visit. Kiddos are in love with their lemon and chocolate chip muffins and the avocado toast is the bee's knees! Wonderful addition to this neighborhood! Prices are so reasonable! Always nice to support the 'Mom & Pop shops'!

Homegrown NEVER disappoints. This is always our go-to for the most delicious breakfast sandwiches. I just ordered 4 of them and everyone was blown away by how delicious they were. I usually order the steak egg and cheese wrap and it is consistently made to perfection every single time. The coffee is also great. Staff is very friendly. You can't go wrong. If you haven't tried, you absolutely have to!

Fast, friendly service. I got an egg and cheese on croissant and it was fresh, delicious, and a big. Hot coffee and iced coffee too. Will def hit it for breakfast or just coffee next time in South Philly.

Highly recommend for breakfast on way to airport. Bagel sandwich and breakfast burrito were amazing, but those tots...splurge they are worth it! Jenna and Jordan are so friendly we enjoyed talking with them very much! Not in Philly often but would come back!!!

This locally owned coffee shop is such a pleasant place to relax in. The owners Jimmy and Christian are really nice people. The coffee/baked goods are very reasonably priced. The inside is clean and well decorated with art from local artists. The music is always great to listen too. I usually come here in the mornings to relax and do some reading. I feel their should be more places like this instead of those corporate owned places such as Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. The make grilled cheese sandwiches with various options to add to it and it's made fresh. The owners care for their patrons and it shows. They have a few seats outside you can relax in. The coffee is fresh and the you put your own sugar and other products in it which I prefer. Come by and try it out if your in the neighborhood.

We've always driven by the Homegrown street sign and wondered what was inside. Finally got to find out this afternoon when we were searching for a new coffee spot to check out. Very friendly service, was greeted by Devante. This place has a cool old school atmosphere. Tons of cool artwork to look at. My gf opted for a Pumpkin spice Cappuccino and i tried the Homegrown espresso. The cappuccino was excellent but I was blown away by the espresso which had a hint of cinnamon. Found out they will be doing renovations for expanding. Can't wait to check it out.

I got the ice caramel macchiato here and it was much needed for my Saturday morning! It's a cute little business at a little corner in south Philly. If you're a cafe person like me this is a place you don't want to miss out on. If I remember correctly there wasn't any seating. They did give me a punch card where if you order 10 coffees from them you'll get the 11th one free.

I hesitated writing this because their coffee is always very good, but the food has been disappointing every time (except once). I've ordered the Yobo sandwich twice which is meat, egg, cheese, and hash browns between two waffles. Had the breakfast platter twice (with waffles). The waffles are way too hard and they tasted stale a few days ago. There's no fluff to them at all, even in the middle. They don't seem like they're simply toasted/baked too well so I'm not sure what's going on there... This was my experience with the sandwich as well as just a breakfast platter. How could waffles taste stale? In my last order, the bacon was so crunchy that you couldn't eat it. It really seemed like it could have been from the day before. The bacon was pretty good the two times before that. The eggs are always overcooked (for my liking) but not bad. Again, hesitated on this but it was the same experience a few times in a row I feel if they are offering food, it should be and taste fresh. Coffee always good though!!!

Delicious breaky, I had the steak, egg chese burrito and my gf had the bacon egg and cheese on a Italian. Simply great.
