Seattle’s Acclaimed Restaurant Homer Is Temporarily Closed After a Fire | Eater Seattle

"Located in Beacon Hill, this wood-fired restaurant suffered a fire on May 31 that appears to have started in the building’s duct system; staff detected a plastic-y, toxic burning smell and the exhaust hood made an unusual noise, prompting staff or upstairs tenants to call the fire department, whose quick response prevented far worse damage. The bathroom and portions of the ceiling were badly burned and the ducts will need to be replaced, though the dining room and bar areas were largely untouched. The owners expect a temporary closure—optimistically two weeks but possibly up to a month—and have begun remediation to remove particulates and check for mold. They said they were grateful that no one was hurt and overwhelmed by community support, recalling how neighbors and patrons rallied to help after a prior COVID-era break-in; updates are being shared via Instagram." - Harry Cheadle

To start off to get there, is a pain. It’s like super deep in an office building and someone has to guide you there. The worst part is the customer service, had a female but she didn’t even say a word to us. I don’t know if it’s to keep a mysterious “act” on for the store but she lost a sale for homer, left instantly. But the jewelry beautiful, but of course overpriced but that’s what we all expected from a brand like homer and by an artist. Very nice Jewelry Bad location and terrible customer service.

Other than the outrageous prices, the staff was very nice and helpful and the jewelry itself was absolutely beautiful

Bought two necklaces that were $500 each and both broke within a month! They are beads so the first one broke and fell everywhere couldn’t salvage it. Bought another, it broke while being put on and customer service will not respond to me.

The store is nice but the products are very expensive. I get that he can do what he wants with his company and there's no obligation for him to do what we want of him, but he hasn't made his brand very accessible for his fans. No shot I'm paying $75 for posters. Worth the visit though if you're in NYC and a frank fan.

Very small selective display case. Employee was helpful walking thru the pieces and even showed us some on an iPad to help make our selection.

Wasn’t treated right, think it was because of my color

I ordered a pendant, and the customs at the Spanish border detained the package, requesting a certificate from the sender confirming that the material of the pendant was produced in Italy and not somewhere in Russia. However, Homer has not responded to me for over two weeks. I have neither the pendant nor my money, and Homer’s support is not responding anywhere.

thought we spotted Frank five mins away from Homer so we did some googles and made our way to Homer. it’s a bit tricky to find as it’s in a space that hosts other jewelry retailers. it’s a cool concept, just a bit confusing. definitely an insider brand and exclusive. I’m glad Frank is venturing in this space - it very much gives Frank lol. tried to get some knowledge on symbolism of the iconography but it was elusive which I’m sure is also intentional. if I had a stack or two I would have copped a piece. didn’t even ask how much it cost lol but it’s worth checking out if you’re rlly into unique jewelry or just a Frank fan like I am.
