"A little slip of a place and a sibling to Homesick restaurant next door, vinyl bar Lovesick offers an interesting wine list , start-to-finish albums, and great service with bartenders excited to talk about pours. It’s also a fine place for a bowl of ramen, pork katsu, a burger, or banh mi. Take the guesswork out of picking up bottles for home with its wine club, for the month, three months, or six months of curated wine boxes and member perks, for delivery or pick-up." - Celia Buckley, Melissa McCart

This place was amazing! My partner took me here for my 23rd birthday dinner and it was fabulous. The drinks were great, our server was so silly awesome too! I wish I remembered her name… I had THE BEST dirty martini (our server said she hand stuffed the blue cheese olives and you could taste the difference🙏). It was a meal to remember! Get the vanilla meringue cake too!

I love Homesick! It is very inviting and bright inside. They have great cocktails. Excellent service. And very good food. When we visited my mom had the lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes which she loved. I had the ham and butter on baguette. It was simple and lovely. We shared the heirloom tomatoes with blue cheese and white balsamic and they were very good. The food here is as fresh, bright and demure as the atmosphere. Definitely a must try.

I brought a friend that was visiting from out of state. We came on a Saturday afternoon in November with no reservation and got sat right away. The outside and inside is so charming and cute. We got pineapple mimosas, avocado toast (was amazing), and grilled cheese and tomato soup. Overall great experience.

Google
We visited Lovesick for a light bite after having a late lunch, and it was an absolute delight. You can tell that everything here is made with love, from the cozy decor to the amazing, fresh food. We tried the Heirloom Tomato Salad (grilled cornbread, Point Reyes blue cheese, white balsamic-thyme vinaigrette) and the Summer Pesto (spaghetti, roasted tomatoes, basil pesto, pine nuts). Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place that offers both comfort and quality in every bite.

Google
Giving this place a 5 star review, even though my fries could've been crispier, because of the wonderful service and the very chill vibe that the restaurant provided. We went during Asbury Park Pride weekend (Saturday brunch) and made a quick reservation online. We got there earlier than our reserved time but were seated right away. The server that helped us was super friendly and super nice. We started with drinks, a mimosa for myself and an espresso martini for my friend. She ordered the eggs benedict and I had the honey chicken sandwich. As stated earlier, the only "complaint" I have is that my fries were soggy. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience!

Google
The food is not bad, but I think the issue is that the expectation based on the price point was higher than what it was delivered. I ordered the flounder ($20), and I was negatively surprised when I received just a piece of fried fish with some diced tomatoes and cabbage on top of it. The taste was overall good, but the fish had slightly less salt than expected. Something that I usually don't care about is the air conditioning, but in this case it was so cold it became uncomfortable.

Google
It’s a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. We liked it so much; we were there two days in a roll. The staff was friendly and professional. We had avocado toasts with a fried egg and French toast with a side of bacon. All were tasty. My husband loved his avocado toast with a fried egg so much; he had it two days in a roll

Google
We had an amazing time here! Our waitress, Grace, exceeded our expectations with her exceptional service. The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was so nice, especially with the live jazz music! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Food was great. The beer menu featuring local brews was awesome and service was outstanding! Love the vibe!

Yelp
We visited Homesick twice during our weeklong stay in Asbury Park: first just for drinks, and then for dinner. The drinks are fantastic: well balanced and visually stunning. The food is very good as well. We shared the shrimp cocktail, which came with a delicious homemade cocktail sauce, and then I had the chicken pie and my husband had the veal cutlets. We also shared the roasted carrots. Everything was tasty, and the service was really great.

JoAnn G.

Yelp
We had a fabulous meal, everything was perfect and the service was above top notch! Service, food, atmosphere were all over and above anything I had expected. p.s. I could have eaten all the bread, it was amazing!!!!

Yelp
I made reservations here for Saturday at 1:30pm. I don't really think it was needed since they had tables opened but I would still recommend it because I usually see this place very busy and they were having 2 parties when I was there. The outside AND inside is so nice! It's spacious, nice colors, and it was just so cute! First off, they asked if we wanted sparkling or still water. We ordered still. Also, apparently, they sat us at some special table in the restaurant and we got free champagne! That was a great way to start the meal. My husband and I shared the 'Butter Board' which was sweet cream butter, sea salt, citrus zest, fresh herbs, red onion, honey, edible flowers, multigrain and cranberry bread. It was DELICIOUS! They gave us some additional bread for $1 extra. For our entrees, my husband got the 'Crispy Chicken Thigh Sandwich' which was buttermilk fried, hot honey, pickles, Bibb lettuce, spicy ranch, brioche bun. He said he didn't taste the hot honey, just tasted like the regular honey but it was delicious and they did not skimp on the honey. The fries also had great seasoning on them. For my entrée, I got the 'Heirloom Tomato Salad' which was with grilled corn bread, Point Reyes blue cheese, white balsamic-thyme vinaigrette. This, as well, was delicious. I normally don't like cornbread because it's so dry and this was dry but the corn bread was sweet. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Our server was fantastic. She was so friendly, informative and really on top of everything. If I had to give it a con... my con would be the fact they asked for still or sparkling water. I ordered still - since it's usually free - but it was $8. I wish someone told us about the price because we wouldn't have had the water at all. That's my only con.. but I will 100% be back and would recommend.

Yelp
It's a beautiful restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seatings. The staff was friendly and professional. A bit layback. We had avocado toasts with a fried egg and French toasts with a side bacon. The avocado toasts were wonderful. My husband had it two days in a roll. The French toasts were tasty and the bacon was crispy.

Yelp
***3 1/2 stars*** My top-tier chum and I stopped here for lunch this past Wednesday on our way down the shore. Despite the fact that 4th of July weekend was kicking off (the Parkway was slowly but surely getting more and more crowded), Asbury was pretty empty. We had our pick of tables inside and out, and opted for sidewalk seating with (my personal preference always) primo canine chum viewing. I'm not sure I've ever experienced this before in a restaurant, but the price points seemed extremely arbitrary, both for drinks and food. I can't imagine that a restaurant wouldn't put considerable time/thought into pricing their menu items, calculating time, cost, etc., and yet. As an example, my chum got a Salty Meg (vodka, grapefruit juice), which was $8. My drink, the Tutu, had an egg white, gin and lavender, was more than twice that at $17. Big jump (and to be fair, the egg white for sure adds some complexity to the process). Same with the food. My chum got the tuna tartare app, which was $22. I got the spaghetti with fried egg, which was a legit entree and almost half the cost at $14. Again, I'm sure there's a rationale for it but the optics were a little odd in our opinion - not necessarily a negative. I liked the spaghetti/fried egg dish - the inclusion of the breadcrumbs and parmigiano gave it almost a high-end Italian breakfast sandwich vibe, which I was not upset about. The tomato conserva wasn't my vibe but it was easy to just scrape that to the side. The Tutu was also tasty; I love egg whites in cocktails, and the lavender complements them well. Smooth and floral. My chum was pretty underwhelmed by her cocktail, which wasn't mixed well but once she stirred it around a bit the taste improved - bit of an unforced error there though. The service was perfectly fine. We were mostly already on vacation mode so we weren't exactly checking our watches (just nervously side-eying the GSP on Google Maps) but everything came out timely and our waitress stopped by regularly to check in. As we were leaving, my chum commented, "This was fine." It was. It could have been better and I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this place, but it was by no means a bad experience.

Yelp
We decided, spur of the moment, to go to the shore last weekend and wound up in Asbury Park. We had never been and arrived around lunch time. We spotted Homesick, next to Lovesick (its sister wine bar) and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. We immediately saw one item on the menu which caught both of our attention. The Chicken Pot Pie. It's not often you see homemade chicken pot pie on the menu, so we both opted for the dish. It all starts with the crust and this one was as flaky and buttery as I've ever had. The filling of chicken, potatoes, onions and a mix of vegetables and herbs was delicious! It was a great start to our weekend!

Yelp
Ever heard of goooood Martinis?? Get your boii Nikooo is the best in the world. Bomb. Martinis. Bomb. Service. Best guy in the house. GET HERE. Such good vibes can't recommend Enough.

Yelp
Really fresh, creative food in a nice, casual environment. Love the bar seating and location on the main drag.

Yelp
We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. They had a jazz band playing in the front, which made for an upscale, lively vibe. Our waitress was high energy and bubbly. We sat at a table flanked by two walls. It felt a bit closed off. I guess they were aware of the shortcoming because they gave us a complimentary champagne toast for sitting at the table, which was very kind. To drink, I had the Art Basil. The basil flavor was not at all detectable. It was sweet and fruity from the blueberry, but not my favorite drink. To eat, I had the vegetable pie. This is one of their signature dishes. The menu warns that it takes a bit of time to come out because it is made to order, but it was prepared fairly quickly. The pie was filled with mushrooms, potatoes, and other veggies, with a hearty cream sauce. The dough was not as flaky and buttery as I was expecting and I would've preferred some crust on the bottom. My partner got the Peach Tea and Smack Patty, which was essentially a smash burger. He enjoyed both. I would definitely come back to try something else on the menu.

Yelp
Homesick is a perfect spot for a girls day or a pre-dinner hangout! It has beautiful decorations and has a light, airy feel to the place! We sat at the bar area and ordered an avocado toast and tomato heirloom salad along with a "mimi" brunch cocktail. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend this spot if you are in Asbury

Alexis S.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for brunch a few weekends ago and it was a great experience. We went to brunch on the earlier side and thankfully, we didn't have to wait at all for a table. Our waiter was wonderful and helped to walk us through the menu. We ordered a number of things off the menu; the tres leche donut which was delicious, the grilled cheese & tomato bisque, the dressed greens salad, the brunch pie and the salmon lox toast. Everything that we had was very good and filling! The added bonus was that there was a live jazz band playing in the main room of the restaurant and was so lovely to listen to. I'd absolutely come back here again!

Sofia S.

Yelp
I came here on my 21st birthday for brunch. We had a big group and not only was the vibe GREAT- live jazz and cute decor - the service somehow made it 10x better. I got the tutu cocktail and it was amazing! Grace, our server, was quick and very attentive with a smile the whole time! Our food came out quickly and it was delicious- I don't usually eat burgers and it was superb! I'll definitely be back soon

Dawn C.

Yelp
We had the best server ever Grace P. Grace made the night for my partner and I. She was sweet, supportive and really helpful with the menu. She was spot on with recommendations too! The vibe was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, nourishing and healthy and the live band was amazing. We will be back!

Yelp
Came here on a cold Saturday evening. The place was warm and hopping, walked in to live music which I was not expecting but it was a nice surprise! The menu is inconsistent if you are gluten free, some items are marked GF and others are not that may be GF. Waiter was not well versed in which entrees were GF. I came here since I saw they had a GF chicken pot pie option. It did not disappoint. Side dishes were marked GF and the chicken pot pie showed it had a GF option so it didn't make sense that all options weren't labeled to make for easier ordering. My dining partner and I shared the butter board, but adding the GF brioche bun was an extra $4 to the $13 appetizer. Bun was fairly dry. This was my first time trying a butter board so I wasn't sure what to expect. Flavors on the board were really nice, citrus zest, honey, some slivers of red onion. The texture was cold and not easy to spread. Visually it was gorgeous (see pic). Dessert menu not labeled for GF, the ice cream option was most likely GF but everything else was full of gluten: bread pudding, pie, cookie. There was no chocolate ice cream in the banana split so we decided to skip the ice cream.

Yelp
The food is always delicious, the staff is always kind and attentive, I've had several brunches and lunches here and it is one of my favorites. It's so cozy too. I love it here!

Yelp
Had the pleasure of exploring one of ASBURY gems this weekend with my mom, whom like myself is pretty picky; but by the end she was planning another trip to bring the family.... The atmosphere was lovely and very light, bright and simply modern and gave a Greek cavern type vibe which I love. Our server Grace was very pleasant and very knowledgeable of the menu and pairings and we were pretty pleased with the selected items for the most part. For our starters we had the butter board, grit cakes (don't know name) and the zucchini and corn soup. The soup was a fan favorite for my mom and I and had us feeling like we were on the right track. The buttery and savory grit cakes were to die for. I would loveeee to have them with a poached egg and some creamy pesto and fresh burrata for a breakfast but how they came was delicious as well. The only starter we did not like was the butter board.... The description made it seem like it'd be more of a multi butter sampler which would have been amazing. So having expected a choice of a delicious herd infused butter, then separate honey cream type and another; to only get what was close to country crock with flowers sprinkled on... was a definite mark missed. For our main courses, I ordered the flat iron steak which was cooked to absolute perfection of a medium rare. The celery root mash was actually very well balanced with the right texture and seasoning and allowed the steak to take the show along with their version of a chimmichurri sauce (could have had a little more hint or note of vinegar to really add a nice balance). The portion was a perfect amount as well. My mom had the crispy flounder which was exactly as described. A nice white fish with a crispy crust and interesting salsa on top. The also could definitely have used a little kick and more citrus to counter the crispy ness and perfectly season fish but adding in another layer of flavor for sure. I also feel like it could have been pair with a side naturally instead of having to add in if desired. Something light, or even made the salad with black beans to add more of a filling and protein packed element. All in all the service wasn't bad and food left us satisfied. I would say if you're going to visit make sure to schedule a reservation so you have plenty of time to order enjoy and chat as much as you'd like with no feeling of being rushed.

Yelp
Bad service and terrible food. Leaking vent right over my white dress. Thankfully our waiter was kind enough to mansplain to me that it was condensation.

Karly K.

Yelp
Very cute and humble atmosphere. They do a top notch happy hour at the bar. For dinner, there's usually a live acoustic act in the corner. Service is always extremely pleasant and attentive. Food was very aesthetically pleasing. Taste was there, but nothing blow away memorable. Butter board appetizer was likely the highlight as I've never seen such an offering. Floral and citrus infused literal board of butter! Very delicate and tasty and came with a variety of breads. Cocktails are nice here but did not feel any kind of buzz. Would still return -- perhaps a romantic date or girls night!

Cassie O.

Yelp
Love this place!! To start, the drinks were phenomenal. My boyfriend got a beer and I got the Tutu cocktail which is a little on the pricier side but it's phenomenal. We got the wings as an app and they were good but we wished they were covered in the sauce rather than needing to dip it in. I got the GF chicken pot pie which was so good you couldn't even tell it was GF. My boyfriend got the veal cutlets which he liked as well. Service was great. The restaurant inside it very cute and quaint. They have a ton of GF/vegetarian/vegan options for those who need. Highly recommend this spot next time you come to Asbury

Susan H.

Yelp
Really delicious food!!!!! The problem was with timing. One appetizer was really late, one dinner was really late, one dessert was really late. Server was excellent, the apple crisp was superb!

Heena J.

Yelp
This place is really cute, and they have a pretty good cocktail selection and happy hour deals. Starting at 7pm they had a live musician which was neat. We had a dog with us so we weren't allowed to sit inside but they have some outdoor tables as well. But because we couldn't sit inside, they wouldn't allow us to get the happy hour deal which is only at the bar. The food options are a variety of things for dinner - we ordered a butter board to share, I got the perogies and my friend got the pesto pasta. The food was ok - the bread that came with the butter board was so dry and felt store bought stale. The perogies were good but more the half the dish was just caramelized onions.

Roy G.

Yelp
What a great place! First stunning decor great atmosphere- the night my husband and I went they had someone playing music and singing quietly in the background not Loud just perfect to add to the dining experience. Emily was our server and she was superb! Must try the veal cutlet -just fabulous and the macaroni au gratin yum yum yum!

Vince C.

Yelp

Yelp
Went there for Saturday brunch and had a great experience. The service and atmospherewas top-notch. I had the warm lentil salad which was a huge portion and excellent. In retrospect I could have done away with the shredded chicken because it was too much. Others at the table had the pancakes and the brisket quesadilla and everyone said their choice was great. What stood out to me was the biscuits. No doubt the best I ever had. This place is a win win.

Michael S.

Yelp
Great selection of unique dishes and an awesome atmosphere. Wait staff was very helpful.

Dave W.

Yelp
Overall, a good experience with a few negatives. Full disclosure, we had reservations for 5:30, way too early for me but I was outvoted. The space is the main room of the old Brick Wall and is now basically a white space. Not a bad look, but it needs some art on the walls. Not an exciting look. We decided to try the Butter Board and it was quite good. They provided additional bread when requested. Also enjoyed the Heirloom Tomatoes. Entrees - Chicken Pot Pie (2), Scallops (2), Cioppino and Steak Frites. All entrees came out in a timely fashion and were hot. My Cioppino was excellent and my wife like her scallops. The bar is spacious and they have a great selection of cocktails and beers. The Passion Fruit Sangria was a disappointment to those who ordered. Our server, Matthew, was efficient and knowledgeable. Based on some of the other reviews we will come back, but a little later in the day.

Karen Kevin S.

Yelp
If you want expertly made drinks and average bistro fare with it, this is your place. Wife and I came in to decompress after stressful day and it served its purpose. The martinis were made perfectly and the cocktails at the table next to us look enviously appetizing. For the food, my wife got the soup which was underwhelming with undercooked asparagus and mushrooms and needed more seasonimg. My pork chop was perfectly cooked with tasty parsnip puree, which id highly recommend if youre hungry. The kitchen is very slow though our server Sara was attentive to us. While nothing was bad, the food didnt rise to the quality of the drinks so i could only give 4 stars.

Alexandra B.

Yelp
The wings and burgers were great! Stopped in around 4 pm so menu was limited. Dinner menu available at 5 pm. The space and decor was really nice and bright, and service was very friendly.

Karina D.

Yelp
Do not waste your time or money here. Overpriced low quality food with abysmal service. Waiter offered us dessert before we got our dinner (we were waiting over 30 minutes for it) and the food was lukewarm and nasty. Never again.

Natty C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal here. I came on a weekday night and service was very good. It is aesthetically pleasing both inside and outside. The bar is beautiful and very big! We tried the shrimp ceviche app which I would pass on, it did not have much flavor. The drinks are really pretty but expensive. I enjoyed my pierogis and kielbasa. We were told it's the same owners as Porta. They also have a cute bar next door called "Love Sick" that I want to try.

Molly F.

Yelp
This place is great! I've been for dinner and brunch now and both were equally as good. This time around I went for brunch and started off with mimosas and the greens. I then split the burger, pancakes and duck quesadilla with 2 other people. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Ended the meal with the s'mores dessert - must try!

Tyler Y.

Yelp
delicious! just moved to the area and trying to stop in for a meal at all the spots in town. The veal cutlets and macaroni and cheese were excellent. great drinks. wife loved her salad. would definitely come back! live music as well

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Service was on point. They were definitely well staffed. Very attentive to our needs. Staff was very polite. Super cute indoor decor as well as outdoor. Stopped in just to try their two drinks I saw on Yelp, the Tutu and the Salty Meg. We ended up purchasing the cauliflower steak as a mid-afternoon snack and loved it!!

Katarina L.

Yelp
Incredible little brunch! They are right on Cookman Ave so I am sure it gets busy here during the summer months. First of all, I have to rant about how beautiful the space is. The bar is trendy, gigantic and looks like a wonderful place to grab a drink. The dining room is so spacious and equally as lovely. I feel like you could be super casual or a little dressed up and not feel out of place. Our group of 4 came around 11:30/12 for brunch on a Saturday and had no trouble getting a table. Okay onto the food! Their brunch menu is pretty limited but stacked with mouthwatering options. I am a sucker for an omelette and the only one on the menu was right up my alley: goat cheese, mushroom, & thyme. Basically my dream omelette. I stuck to coffee but it was hot and strong and delicious. My group got a mix of mimosas and bloody marys and got at least two rounds, so you know their cocktails were fantastic as well. We shared the butter and GF biscuit as a tiny appetizer and the turmeric butter was soooo tasty. The gluten free folks were raving that they could finally indulge in the bread before the meal. The rest of the table got their lobster benedict & the brunch pie, which was described as comfort food in a skillet. Everyone loved their order! Seriously, I don't think there was a less than ecstatic gal at the table. Everyone but me was gluten free, so they were easily able to swap out their lobster benedict bread for the GF biscuit. Only con: the omelette was served alone, so if you need a little bread on the side (me) be sure to order a biscuit to go with it. If you do, be sure to get some of that turmeric butter along with it.

Nicholas G.

Yelp
I said I would come back for the food so here is my review. Got recommended to come for the porkchop milanese. It was the best thing we had by far. The heirloom tomato salad was delicious. The chicken pot pie was runny but still had good flavor. Would I order again? Maybe but there were other things that looked good on the menu. The smores ice cream sandwiches were lovely. Only negative was I would pass on the cheese curd nachos though. Drinks were delicious. Glad I came.

Michele W.

Yelp
Had a bad lunch experience. First, let me say, I've come here before and had good food and decent service; not today. When we walked in we were hit by the odor of fish that was probably going bad.. strong odor.. I wanted to leave but my partner did not. I normally order fish, but was afraid to, so I ordered French toast off the brunch menu. bad choice; it came to the table undercooked and mushy. So sadly I will be giving HomeSick a rest...and -1 Star.

Omar C.

Yelp
An amazing Brunch. The food was delicious - the drinks were well constructed and tasted as good as they looked. If the kitchen cares this much for a brunch, I can only imagine how great dinner service is. Excited to come back.

Monica P.

Yelp
The outside has a cute vibe on a good people watching street and the inside has a cool jazzy feel. Went here on a friend's recommendation, but personally thought it was only ok. My 2 friends I ate here with agreed with me. My burger was nothing special to me, but the fries were tasty. My friend who got The veggie burger didn't find hers noteworthy either. The staff was friendly though

Avery K.

Yelp
Summary: Fabulous meal in downtown asbury with super cute atmosphere, interesting menu, and well crafted drinks !! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Homesick and I definitely will come back here next time I am in asbury because they had a really diverse menu that seemed fun to explore... they also have a sister restaurant next door that had late night events which looked really cute. We went around 5 pm right when they started dinner so it wasnt too busy. The seating is really comfortable and the decor is super cute (lots of blown glass lights and interesting chandeliers) The drink I got, The Tutu, was a gin, lemon, lavender, and egg white cocktail which I absolutely loved. It was super fresh, light, and aesthetically so pleasing. I almost didn't want to drink it because it was so beautiful. We also shared a smash burger as well as pirogies. The burger was super yummy, it basically melted in your mouth the way a smash burger should! The fries were also really well seasoned and fried to perfection. I wish there were more pirogies for the price, but the four we got were actually so amazing. It also came with a piece of kielbasa which had a really great smoky flavor to pair with the pirogies and sour cream. My mother noted that the pirogies tasted like her own mothers homemade recipe and I agreed they were authentic and comforting !!! Our waiter was nice but wasnt too enthusiastic but still provided us with good service. I just wanted a bit more of a welcoming feel from the staff but i understand that restaurants are stressful so It didn't detract from the meal enough to lower the stars ! All around great place and I will be coming back :)

Lesley K.

Yelp
Very cute decor outside and inside. It was approximately a 15 min walk from our hotel. The bone marrow starter was delicious, the chicken pot pie was underwhelming as well as the cioppino. Service was quick and friendly.

Jessie V.

Yelp
Came for an off season brunch with my husband and Homesick did not disappoint. I ordered the brunch pie with a scrambled egg on top, yum yum yum. It was a slightly rainy day and the brunch pie was comfort food at its best. If it wasn't so far away from where I live I'd be back every weekend.

Roxanne O.

Yelp
We sat at the bar for a couple of drinks. Service was prompt and friendly. The tutu was a little sweeter than I expected. The mule was a bit heavy on the ginger beer but I liked it. I'd come again!

Danielle V.

Yelp
In a small downtown full of good food and semi long wait times, homesick always offers quick seating and a solid meal. Been here a handful of times, always aiming to try something different. With a dish ordered that always leaves me thinking about it afterwards, it makes it hard to not order the same damn good dishes you first tried over again. For one, the heirloom tomato salad with cornbread is by far one of my favorite "salads" to date. I'm sure it's a seasonal item for sake of the tomato's but whenever I see it on the menu I have to have it. The smack patty is also a simple but solid choice. Recently tried the brunch pie and it was the perfect merging between my two fave breakfasts dishes, homefries and biscuits and gravy. Also, gotta love a place with a chicken pot pie on the menu, really taking me back to a time of frozen Marie calendars but WAY better. To put it plain, this place is a must stop if you're roaming around asbury looking for a place for no fuss good food and drink. It doesn't (shouldn't) disappoint

Betty L.

Yelp
We were a group of 8. The waitress was very nice, but forgot to get a couple of drinks. She finally brought them, but comped us for the delay. Two had the chicken pot pie and loved it. The food isn't "gourmet", but as its name implies, it's "home cooking,".

Felicia M.

Yelp
We came as a large group for a team building, working brunch. This place is very nice with a relaxing atmosphere and even some live acoustic music. The servers are pleasant. The menu can take some navigating if you have allergies and prefer plant based meals. They try to be accommodating.

Yelp
It has been a hot minute since we have dined out an had an exceptional experience. Our visit to Homesick on a Thursday night was just that. Our server Paige was just exquisite. So warm and hospitable. Never obtrusive or interruptive. Knowledgeable on the menu and gave great descriptions. Our meal started on a delicious high note with our cocktails, Pistachio Mojito and the River Spirit (rosemary smoke infused old fashioned) and our starters of the Grit Cakes (with a jammy roasted tomato and chive infused olive oil). The texture of the grit cakes was phenomenal. Crispy griddled top and bottom and a gritty, cheesey, fluffy yet sturdy center. These are a MUST get. Paige informed us they are always on the menu and the accompaniments change seasonally. You will find them paired with mushrooms in the winter. Can't wait to go back! Entrees we're divine. Pierogis with grilled kielbasa links and the perfectly fried flounder with a zesty pickled chow chow. Both entered were Absolutely delicious and the preparation was flawless. Even though we were just the right amount of full we HAD to order dessert in hopes for a home run meal. We opted for the Pavlova and it was perfect. The lemon curd balances the sweet meringue and the macerated strawberries added the right amount of sweetness. I'm pretty blow away by this meal and service by Paige. With friends local to Asbury, I am excited for many future return visits.

Yelp
Went here with friends and had some great cocktails and lunch on a rainy beach day. We loved all the cocktails. My friend and I shared a burger and the chicken Sandwich. Chicken sandwich was so good! The ambiance was great and our waiter was very friendly. Would recommend and would definitely come back
