Amazing Tex-Mex here. This is the best place for Tacos - their specialty. I would highly recommend the Potato, by far the best flavored and evenly spiced and layers of flavors. 5/5 definitely a place to visit in Culver City.

Google
HomeState delivers a Tex-Mex experience that’s nothing short of spectacular. The quesadilla, a golden masterpiece of melty cheese and perfectly griddled tortilla, strikes an ideal balance of comfort and flavor, substantial yet never heavy. Four distinct tacos showcased a vibrant range of fillings, each one a testament to HomeState’s mastery of Texas-inspired cuisine. From smoky brisket to bright, zesty chicken and beef options, every taco bursts with bold, authentic flavors, wrapped in warm, pillowy tortillas that elevate the experience to something truly special. House-made salsas add layers of complexity, making each bite a revelation. The freshly squeezed lemonade proves the perfect partner, its crisp, not-too-sweet brightness cutting through the richness of the meal with refreshing finesse. HomeState’s atmosphere radiates warmth and Austin charm, blending a laid-back vibe with a welcoming energy. Staff move with efficiency and genuine friendliness, ensuring every dish arrives hot and fresh. Other reviews often highlight the breakfast tacos and migas as must-tries, and while those weren’t on the plate this time, the menu’s depth promises more delicious adventures on the next visit.

Google
I love Home State. I've eaten here many times and it has been a long time favorite of mine. Unfortunately, their service has really crashed lately. The last few times I've gone, I was told that I could only take my order to go, despite the fact that I was there a whole hour (or more) before the closed. If they only do takeout for their last hour(or more) of business, they should really state that in their hours signage. The worst part is that something has been seriously wrong with my order the last 2 times I've visited this location. Most recently, an entire item was missing from my order, which I didn't discover until I got home. My frustration over this was compounded by the fact that I had wanted to eat there, but was not allowed to. The time before, I received my order completely cold. I'm not saying it was cold by the time I got home, I'm saying they handed it to me cold. The good news is that Los Angeles has an infinite number of other taco places available. It's a shame that this place has fallen off so hard, bit at least there are plenty of other options.

Home State in Culver City is a gem! From the cozy atmosphere to the delicious Tex-Mex cuisine, every visit feels like a warm welcome home. The tacos are a must-try, bursting with flavor and authenticity. The staff are always attentive and make dining here a delightful experience. Can't wait to come back for more!

Google
This is going to sound kind of bad but just bear with me. This is not a negative review. Homestate's tacos are like tacos made by white suburban moms but they're actually *good* rather than just being bland and weird. If you want authentic Mexican, find one of the ubiquitous LA Street Taco stands. Homestate is Tex-Mex and is authentic in its own way. The tacos are fuego. They're pretty big tbh, two was good for me.

Google
This place is awesome. Great service, great food at a reasonable price. Been here several times for takeout. I’ve tried their chicken, potato and brisket tacos, also their breakfast tacos + potatoes and queso. Brisket and egg + straight brisket for the win. Their queso, chips and salsa also very good. The service here is exceptional, good vibes all around with warm genuine smiles from start to finish. Great portions, they really load up the tacos! I would highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a great meal. They will not disappoint.

Google
Why would you mess with perfection? Me and the lady used to come for the brisket tacos all the time. They changed the recipe and it’s pretty average now.

Google
The food here is fantastic and if that’s all you came for then it’s all a smash. If you decide on grabbing a boozy bev you’re gonna get ya little slushy heart broken cuz the frozen cocktails are a pass. 🙅🏻‍♀️ They gotta be using some super cheap tequila cuz it tastes strongly of the plastic liquor bottles from high school house parties that come with a handle. 🫢 For $21 with tax and tip, the drinks should have a little higher quality ingredients. I was so excited to swing by my local Homestate today to try the new Strawberry Margarita and it looked really tasty coming out of the machine but it tasted really cheap and turned my stomach after a few sips. Hope y’all can fix this cuz it’s really one of my favorite stops for a tasty casual meal at not so casual prices!

Yelp
Brisket taco: 10/10 Potato taco :10/10 Chicken taco: 8/10 Side of black beans: 9/10 Salted chocolate chip cookie: 9/10 Service: 10/10. The prices are very fair. My son and I had dinner for about $20 total. I will definitely be back to this place. You order at the counter and can then eat at outside tables or a small seating area inside.

Yelp
Been to their Highland Park shop for lunch once before. This time I made sure to order the breakfast tacos since I really wanted to try those. They were fantastic! Definitely would not mind coming back again and again. So far, I love their flour tortillas over others I've had in LA.
google avatar

Yelp
Super fast service literally less than 10 mins after I placed order which was amazing as always running Has smaller indoor seating shared communal seating and individual 2-4 tops outside You can use the wifi from Go Get Em Tiger. Nice size portions and service was really friendly

Yelp
You know you love a place when you start craving its food. That's what happened with me and HomeState. Friends introduced me to their tacos a few years ago, and after that, I was hooked. I've had their breakfast tacos and so many of their anytime tacos. My personal favorite is the brisket taco, and the picadillo. I've also enjoyed the Trinity taco. As a side, I love getting the crispy potato and lil' queso - such a treat! The service is always excellent and fast, too.

Yelp
Great food, good prices, parking can be a challenge at busy hours (breakfast and lunch)

Yelp
This Place is FIRE. One of the best Mexican food places on the Westside. Stopped here last week for lunch with my crew, and we indulged in some Queso Street tacos, and they were delicious with tortillia chips and dipping sauces. Place is nice and clean with a cool view outside and inside. Place is pretty packed around lunch time. Tacos and burritos are not overpriced either. Nice young staff and people working here. This may be our go to spot in Culver City.

Yelp
When this Texas native once a little taste of home, this is 1 of my go-to spots! Fresh homemade tortillas & chips. Creamy queso. Tasty tacos & salsas. The real deal Tex-Mex in LA! This location has indoor seating and a nice covered patio. Service is always quick and very friendly. There is street parking available in the area.

Yelp
I attend a family gathering, they served food from HomeState that was so delicious, I just had to write about it. A pre-order for 2 dozen tacos, tortilla chips and toppings was served. The tortillas were handmade and filled with a variety of protein, cheese and beans. Each was individually wrapped in foil and clearly labeled for your convenience. The food has a "Texas" flair to it, featuring brisket, pinto or black beans, diced potatoes, pickled red onions, Pico de Gallo, and vegetarian options too. I chose the "Don't Mess with Texas" soft taco. It was filed with Charro beans, bacon, potatoes and cheddar cheese. You can also buy a dozen flour tortillas as a side and save them for the next day! So worth the price ($8 a dozen). They are open 7 days a week, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try them and you will want to go back for more. Don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!
google avatar

Brianna R.

Yelp
Got the frito pie with the brisket and happy to say the flavor of the brisket was there this time! Really love the flour tortillas here as well. I get them a few times a month. ($8 for 12)

Yelp
The Trinity has to be the best breakfast taco on the west side. Staff is SO caring and attentive...and great with dogs!
google avatar

Danny Y.

Yelp
Staff is nice but they need to be more informed on the menu (I.e. they should know that the brisket is beef). Metered street parking available. Portions are fair. Pricing is a few dollars per taco than I would like. Only tacos at this fast casual cool spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. 3.5 stars that I will round down as the food was ok and the pricing for the portions are not.

Yelp
Great choice for TexMex cuisine. Go for the awesome breakfast and brisket tacos. Love the refillable Arnold Palmers.

Yelp
This is tough because the Trinity (with avocado) is a five star "hell yes I love this I want to make love to this" kind of breakfast taco you could have every day. Seriously, it's excellent. All the time. However, every other taco I've tried just isn't the business. They're all meh to aight. The Potato is a good vegan option but that sour cream be doing the most. The Pollo is dry as government cheese and overall disappointing. And then also - although everyone here is pretty friendly - my god just let me get extra salsa when I ask for it. One thimble of green for three tacos? The stinginess is wild. Yall treating it like it's plutonium or something. No man who just spent $30 on tacos should be rationing his salsa.
google avatar

Diane M.

Yelp
Tried the blanco, and it was pretty good. Appreciate that they gave me extra salsas without an upcharge. Most of the tacos contain eggs, but there are also meat + vegan options available.

Yelp
I had a pleasant time here at HomeState! They are known for their tacos; they are wrapped in foil so they look like mini burritos but they are in fact tacos! We ordered the chicken, brisket and Jiuana panther and they were juicy and delicious. They served it with green and red sauce which added an extra kick of flavor.   We also ordered a side of potatoes and the lil queso which tasted delicious! I definitely recommend getting this because it was one of my favorites of the meal!   We shared a hibiscus limeade and it was crisp and refreshing with free refills.   They provide outdoor seating with umbrellas which was on a first come first serve basis. The servers were friendly and brought our food to us.   This is a great spot for a casual lunch hangout! It is located at One Culver so you have the option of working remotely or casually hanging out in the area. Its a little pricy for tacos but the quality was worth it!

Yelp
Home State is the newest and latest offering Tex Mex style tacos. The shop is located on Washington Bl in Culver City and they now occupy the space formerly held by Konbi which closed last January. For reference, this taco shop is next to GoGetEmTiger coffee shop. The menu offers both breakfast and lunch options, lots of breakfast tacos with eggs but I was not inclined to order eggs since it was a late lunch for Me. Was excited to try tacos with a Tex Mex twist and order the signature: Tijuana Panther and the Chicano Batman. Chicano Batman is one of the vegan option made with soydillo and potatoes plus other veggie ingredients. Tijuana Panther has shredded beef brisket and topped with raw cabbage slivers and other ingredients. Each wrapped like a small burrito, I chose the house made flour tortilla which was covered in foil. Additionally, also ordered a side of chips and salsa which is how I like to eat soft shell tacos. The staff from the order taker/cashier to the servers were super nice, helpful and quick to clear and wiper down tables after diners left. After paying cashless, you're given a number, go outdoors as there are No Indoor seatings. Umbrella shade Outdoor patio seating only. Server brought out my order with the red and green salsas. I unwrapped each taco and took pics to post. Everything looked good, but that's it because out of the 3 items I ordered, only the z Tijuana Panther shredded beef taco was good not great, because the meat lacked flavor, it could use marinate, seasoning and maybe more spices so even after adding the salsa, the taste improved from a 2 to a 3 star. The Chicano Batman taco seem to taste similar to a vegan chili with small chunks of fried potatoes smothered in thick sauce was bland and very messy...I had to scoop the contents which dripped with the tortilla chips. Possible the biggest disappointment were the tortilla chips which tasted semi stale, not fresh, no crunch and lacked any flavor no even slightly salted. I probably only ate 4 chips and just couldn't eat the rest. Of the the food I ordered only 1 out of 3 was just ok...earns 1 star. It was sunny but cool mid 70's, and the outdoor seating with the yellow umbrellas and music added an appeal to the vibe. Most diners were nerdy looking guys probably techies, dressed casual and appear to work nearby all in all it was a good positive energy. And because of that positive energy, great service and clean dining areas, I am generously award a barely 2.3 stars. After eating these Tex Mex style taco, I've come to the conclusion that I much prefer CaliMex which are California and Mexican style tacos which are probably more flavorful and includes more veggies, herbs and spices. Sadly, the menu does not offer anything seafood. I usually order Baja style fish taco or a Tostada crunchy shell salad loaded with greens. I have relatives throughout Texas and they eat plenty of seafood: chargrilled fish tacos, and grilled veggies. And I'm sure there are lots places that offer TexMex style tacos that are fantastic, but I was not a fan of the food here at Home Base. If your standards are not that picky on tacos and like them tasting bland, then maybe these are for you. Or try other tacos on the menu that might tastes great and perhaps you can rave about it. You'll never know unless you try the TexMex style tacos at Home State with multiple locations in SoCal and zero locations in the Don't Mess with Texas state.

Yelp
First time at HomeState after hearing about it on another website. My wife got Andy's Migas, I got a brisket taco and a Ft. Worth taco, both on flour, alongside crispy potatoes w/ the tomatillo ranch and a big order of queso. On top of that, a couple of margaritas. The tortillas are on point. They are great. I love a good freshly made flour tortilla and these fit the bill very well. Brisket wasn't bad, but I didn't love it. Kinda seemed a little more like stewed beef. On the other hand, the Ft. Worth taco was spectacular. It was also one of the only items we had that had any real heat to it. Queso was fantastic. No complaints. The crispy potatoes only succeeded in one of the two words in the name. They were potatoes. They were not even remotely crispy. They were just sorta meh. The tomatillo ranch that you can add for $2 was excellent, and good enough to make it worth buying the potatoes, but I would pass on those the next time. Andy's migas was spectacular. Delicious, and would be perfect hangover food. No notes. Margaritas were very good, considering they just come out of a pitcher. Not too sweet.. Hate that they are served in mason jars though, I thought we ditched that hipster trend ten years ago. It is one of those places where you order, get a number, and have to find a table. We were lucky to find one in the shade. Probably not an issue, but for someone with my anxiety level, it's sub-optimal on that front. I had a bunch of people recommending this place and was worried I'd have anticipointment. I am happy to say I didn't. It's quite good. It could be amazing, it's so close, but I definitely plan to visit again. If I can part with one piece of advice - bring your own hot sauce. This place is terrified of spiciness.

Yelp
We love the food. We love the drinks. We love the vibe. But please, PLEASE start doing quality control on your take out. Whether I'm ordering on the app or take out in-person, something is always missing. For example, ordering dips but no chips! Yesterday, ordering margaritas to go with one missing. After sitting in traffic and the hassle of parking, coming back is not helpful! I want to spend money here and enjoy the delicious food! I do not want to spend time checking your work and driving back to Culver City to correct your work multiple times. Fortunately, you can't go wrong with any of the food or drinks!

Yelp
We have been a fan of Homestate from their first branch on Sunset Blvd. We love their Highland Park & Playa Vista locations too. So happy they opened Culver City. What we love: Guadalupe tacos Don't Mess with Texas Emo Chicano Batman Brisket Queso We love coming for brunch or lunch but we've heard their happy hours are fun too! We recently had them cater our party & all our guests were blown away by the delicious food! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
Parking: You can find free street parking a couple blocks away in the neighborhood. Experience: I've been waiting for this opening for a while! We went for Sunday brunch around 10am and there was a line out the door. It moved relatively fast, but I think I'll order to go next time. You order your food at the register and then take a number and can sit on the patio. Food: I got 2 breakfast tacos and a small queso with chips and that was plenty for me! My favorite taco is the Trinity breakfast taco. I like the Anytime Tacos as well, but I feel like they need the extra sauces or be dipped in queso. I do love how they have the hot sauces at each table. I will be back for the loaded queso and the frito pie in a bag!!
google avatar

Yuri J.

Yelp
One of my fav spots for Tex Mex & breakfast tacos in LA. So happy there's one in downtown Culver City. Lots of patio seating, but food can take a while esp on a busy morning. Service is great and food never disappoints. TRINITY TACO (on house made flour) is the best - with eggs, bacon, potato and cheddar! Also, share a side of queso w/ chips - it is life changing.
google avatar

Jetrina M.

Yelp
We walked here for a weekend brunch around 9-10AM. There was a line out the door but it moved relatively quickly. You can also order online and pick up if in a rush. We ordered 2 trinity tacos, 2 potato tacos, 1 Guadalupe taco, 1 Tijuana panther, crispy potatoes, lil queso and an ice coffee. Total before tax was ~$50, which is a little on the pricy side, however we were quite full after finishing all our food! My favorite taco was the Tijuana panther - there is a generous portion of brisket in the taco. The trinity is good for someone who wants a breakfast taco as it's like a mini burrito since the tortillas are pretty large. The potato taco was good too and had jalapeños inside. We ordered our tacos with flour tortillas. The queso seemed small but was quite filling! I enjoyed the crispness of their chips (which comes with free refills). The crispy potatoes were quite crispy and would recommend ordering. You also get a bottle of both green and red salsa for the table when the food comes out. Mainly outdoor seating with a few bar seats inside. For friendly patio. Parking seems to be street/neighborhood, though we live close enough to walk. I would definitely come back to try other tacos!

Yelp
I went to HomeState's Grand Opening to have lunch and left very satisfied! Located right outside the One Culver building where Go Get Em Tiger and One Medical also resides. This taco spot reminds me so much of Austin, Texas! Where I first had migas tacos and queso dip! It's def one of my fav tacos in LA. I believe their 8th location, I would rarely get to their Los Feliz spot so glad it's now here in Culver City, Screenland! I went for late lunch around 1:30pm, and the line was a short 5 minute wait. Super friendly staff took my order and just waited 8 min for my order to be ready. I ordered the potato and chicken tacos plus a lil queso dip with chips. The tacos may seem small but they fill you up. Very generous filling of goodness inside each. I'm a fan of the flour tacos and the queso dip, great to share a large one or keep the lil one for yourself. The ambiance is super chill with music playing inside and out in the cute patio with succulents and shaded tables. Merch available and also notice they have coffee, gotta try! Limited metered parking outside, One Culver building validates for 1 hour, and some residential parking, please read the signs for restrictions. Congrats on the opening HomeState team!

Yelp
Yum yum yum! Amazing tacos. Very nice staff, ample vegan options and bursts of flavor. Great vibe overall with outdoor seating as well.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was OK... I am going back to make sure i am wrong. Service was good and I loved the theme of the restaurant. Prices were cool. Street parking.
google avatar

Rajiv P.

Yelp
Tijuana Panther - brisket was good but not much flavor, very soggy Chicken - good flavor, i would get this again Picadillo - didn't even want to finish this. Very soggy Overall it felt like $20 to leave hungry and unsatisfied. The hot sauces were okay.
google avatar

Janelle D.

Yelp
As a Texan nothing else in LA scratches that queso/ tex mex itch. Queso and potatoes are both musts. Everything here is fresh and super tasty.
google avatar

Saile G.

Yelp
Tacos were actually good, i normally eat on corn tortilla but this flour tortilla was surprisingly great. I tired to get a drink here since it's my day off, unfortunately they don't accept foreign ID's, bummer, but overall was good. My fiancé had the brisket tacos, was great too, sauce wasn't spicy but still savory. Server was nice and prompt. Hot out in LA today so it's amazing that they had umbrellas out to keep everyone cool and get a good ambiance. I'm just salty I couldn't get my drink lol.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Very good but it didn't blow me away. I had the egg, bacon taco and egg brisket which was my favorite. Good red salsa. Reminded me of mini breakfast burritos without the post-meal swollen belly. I also had the cookie coffee and salted choc chip cookie which were both ok. Cookie for breakfast felt wrong, so I waited until mid morning . Silliness. Loved the area - DTCC. after I found it on the opposite side of where I parked. My mistake as the yelp directly dot looked like it was inside the big building and I peered through the locked door like a peeper. Duh. I will come back and try some of the more exotic items pep my zip.
google avatar

Joey B.

Yelp
Wasn't expecting too much and it was fine for a meal but I honestly thought the tacos were fairly bland. Had the Trinity and the Pecos. Very forgettable. Very wet, I think they would be better served not rolled up but open face so as not to accumulate moisture quicky. Green salsa tasted just like the red salsa. No kick. No salt. No flavor, but maybe that's just me. Chips would've been a nice accompaniment. I don't get the hype.
google avatar

Steven L.

Yelp
HomeState is the best!! Huge fan of all their breakfast tacos. The individual tacos are kinda more of mini burritos, but it's fun to order a few to try different flavors. Also highly recommend the queso! Best queso ever! Get it with some chips or dip your tacos in the queso. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Friendly staff and quick turnaround on orders! Street parking right outside or you can park in the One Culver garage.
google avatar

Jay W.

Yelp
So decided to give HomeState Culver City another try... Muuuuch more like the other locations this time around. - Tortillas weren't dry and stale tasting this time - Bacon on the Trinity wasn't burnt - The brisket was nice and tender on the Pecos - The carnitas was a bit soggy Guadalupe, but hey overall great improvement.
google avatar

Alona L.

Yelp
Love the place. Always quick and tasty. I really like their tacos and potatoes. There is a big variety of breakfast tacos as well which I know a lot of people prefer. It is order at the counter type of place hence quick but quite tasty. Service is usually good, they can recommend something if you are coming first time.
google avatar

Zach H.

Yelp
This place is awesome! If you've never had their tacos you have to try them! Some of the best breakfast tacos around! Their sauces are amazing. This location sucks for parking. Fast and friendly service.
google avatar

Maria P.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place. Always looks busy. What I am about to say should not be taken any other way than my opinion on this meal- these were the most "white people" tacos I've ever had. Taco Bell has more "taco" going on than this place. I tried the cashier's recommendation as most popular: the Tijuana Panthers (brisket and barely anything else- dry) and the Ft. Worth (basically a chicken club sandwich in small flour tortilla). The chicken taco at least was juicy/soggy and had flavor, but the brisket taco lacked flavor and was basically just meat in a tortilla- and not in a good way. No repeat visit from me.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Thank you to the good folks at HomeState who reached out to me and addressed my concerns. Classy move and greatly appreciated.
google avatar

Always H.

Yelp
Food is always fresh and full of flavor. Prices are fair, given how overpriced Tex Mex has gotten. Staff is always friendly and the place runs pretty efficiently. Outdoor seating only but there is plenty of it.
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
I LOVE BREAKFAST TACOS. Can't go wrong with the trinity (eggs bacon etc) and I add the cabbage/cilantro for *health*. I ask for extra salsas too. I'm a big fan of the red and I'm usually a green sauce girl. They also have plenty of other meat options such as brisket which you can't go wrong with!
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
I just love the food here! Also, very family, friendly, great service, and very efficient! Price and portions are fair, the tacos are delicious as are the salsa and sides. The Frito pie in a bag is my go to, just so fun to eat!a fun spin on traditional Mexican food, highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
Consistently. Excellent. Tacos. Anyone else go to Austin one time and forever dream of their food? Then this is the spot for you. HomeState is a Texas Kitchen sharing breakfast tacos, queso, and brisket in sunny Southern California! First things first, you must order the queso. Deemed as the "national party dip of Texas," this is a must have. Creamy, spicy, flavorful with a lil crunch from the chips. Absolutely fantastic. I am a big fan of their brisket and love the Tijuana Panther and the Brisket tacos. Here's a breakdown: - Tijuana Panther (shredded brisket, queso, potatoes, pico de gallo) ($6) - Brisket (shredded brisket, guacamole, cabbage slaw) ($6) Another shoutout for the potato taco if you'd like to try a vegetarian option. This taco features cheddar, sour cream, guacamole, cabbage slaw, pico de gallo, and pickled jalapeños ($5). Last but not least, I love to top this off with a Topo Chico. Something about that extra sparkling water amirite? HomeState is a fun, casual spot to go with friends and grab some killer tacos! The service is no frills (order at the counter, bus your own tables) but the staff are always very friendly and positive! Perfect for Tex Mex fans!

B P.

Yelp
The food is delicious, and I appreciate the vegan options. The staff is always so helpful and service orient.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
Amazing food. I really gotta give it five stars. I have tried all the tacos and they are very good, I honestly feel the tortilla is what gives a lot of the flavor. My by far favorite to order from this place is the Lonestar, this is a must have when going here.

Adam S.

Yelp
Best breakfast tacos in town. I went today because I saw a great deal giving you $5 when you sign up for the loyalty program. The app was glitching when I signed up in the store and wasn't giving me the reward, but the nice manager made it right and honored the sign out front advertising the deal. This kind of customer service goes a long way and ensures positive word of mouth along with return customers.
google avatar

Marouane S.

Yelp
The location is nice and the staff is very friendly. But the food is really mediocre, unfortunately. They serve "Tex-mex" style tacos, not really what I personally look for when I want tacos or Mexican food in general. I find that it has more in common with Taco Bell than a legit Mexican spot. I'm sorry home State but I really wanted to like the concept, but I just can't. The place has tremendous potential tho! I cannot say anything bad about their flour tortillas which are excellent, the bacon/egg breakfast taco is very solid too. The rest of the menu will need to be "reworked" I tried 2 of their chicken tacos and they both have less flavor than a $1 Taco Bell taco. Overall I do not recommend for this price point.
google avatar

Tamara B.

Yelp
The quesadilla and chips and salsa was delicious. They just opened and that had to be one of the best quesadillas I have eaten in a long time. I am happy they finally opened and look forward to eating other items from there menu soon Congratulations on your opening

Yelp
Lets keep yelp real!!! All I can say is eh. To be fair this location just opened, although thats when it should be best(I think). Im upset because of the amount of times I've recommended this restaurant. I think this place went wrong for the sake of efficiency. We had 4 different tacos frio, trinity, pecos, dont mess with texas, & brisket. Living in LA I understand the food premium but at 4.50 i need fire. No flavor, old ingredients, and microwaved?... the tortilla hot but eggs cold, potatoes soggy, and bacon hard. I left sad and my stomach hurting. Don't know if I'll even visit the Los Feliz location again.

Yelp
You are charging $5 tacos that are not even warm. You are charging $5 for crispy potatoes that are not even crunchy. You asked if I wanted ranch with my potatoes and charged me $2 without advising. $3 for a can of Coke zero. And the service is quite slow after 3pm. I won't be back!

Yelp
We ordered these for a work event and everyone was happy (that is hard to do by the way :)). We got a mix of meat/vegetarian options which was also great. You could tell the tortillas were homemade, which really should be a requirement here in LA. Pick up was a little challenging in Culver City (not the restaurant's fault that area is just very congested), but the staff was very nice and food was ready to go when I got there. I'm going to try them again on the weekend...

Yelp
Super friendly staff, "meh" food. I came here on a whim on a Friday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. after having forgotten to eat lunch. I was pretty hungry, so I was pretty disappointed to find out that their $6 Brisket taco was very tiny (not longer than 5" and not very filling). I think you'd need at least 3 of them to get the same quantity of food as one burrito at Chipotle or Baja Fresh. The brisket inside was also very dry, as if it had been sitting a long time (I was the only customer, so that may have been the case). I also ordered chips & queso, and the chips were very dense and also very dry, and half my chips were broken apart/crumbled, like chips you find at the bottom of the tortilla bag. Again, they didn't taste super fresh, although the queso was good--thick and creamy, the way queso should be. There are just so many phenomenal taco joints around L.A., I doubt I'll be coming back to this one. And from the lack of other patrons, I don't think this one will stay open long. But I do like the clean, pleasant outdoor seating, and the staff were all very friendly & responsive. If you just needed a quick, inexpensive bite on your way somewhere, and you didn't want hefty portions, this could scratch that itch.
