Got the brisket quesadilla, it’s was ok. Got small chips and queso, good size, flavor was so so, and got a buneulo, and same, nothing special. Tried it but won’t be coming back

In a word, Excellent! The anytime tacos are just amazing. We had the Piccadilla, Brisket, and Potato tacos on flour tortillas! We can’t wait to try other items! Note, the margaritas and Spicy Aloha have a nice kick.

I've had four tacos and two drinks here. Solid option for Tex Mex-style tacos on flour tortillas. If you're expecting typical LA or Mexico style tacos, this ain't it. It's cool that they sell tepache in a can--never seen that before. It's odd that they close so early, but it seems like hours may expand in the future. I also have some concerns about them using so much sidewalk space. This neighborhood already has horribly inaccessible sidewalks with all the dumping, cars parked on sidewalks, and tree roots pushing up the concrete. Would love to see them install a parklet (like Alta just built) so that wheelchairs and strollers can still get down Jefferson if there's a crowd here.

Tried Their tacos for the first time the other day. Ordered the chicken and the brisket. Highly recommend both. Will definitely be going back to try their sandwiches. The flour tortillas are really so tasty. You wouldn’t think brisket in a taco would be very good but homestate proved otherwise. Can’t wait to go back!

So this place is interesting, they seem like they could be the spot to always go to, But it's actually not. The food is high quality don't get me wrong. It's just the taste seems to have no presence I've had they're tacos, sandwiches, and potatoes. And they all taste okay. Nothing really pops like that. Another reason why I'm giving it a 3 starts is because it's pretty expensive for okay. You'll spend a good chunk of change for okay and still be hungry.

Go-to breakfast taco spot! Beautiful, fresh tortillas made by hand right as your order, does it get any better? I get the Guadalupe and the Tijuana Panther every time! SO GOOD! This is a Texan taco spot, so get anything with the brisket on it and you will be very happy.

I ordered the brisket texas toast sandwich. Unfortunately it was extremely underwhelming. The brisket was very tender but the flavor fell flat. The “texas toast” was two slices of soggy wonder bread so it should’ve been called a brisket sandwich. It was not toasted and my impression of texas toast is thick, buttery and garlicky. I ordered a chocolate chip sea salt cookie and that was good but nothing was good enough to make me want to go back to try anything else. Just giving a heads up if anybody is expecting some real flavor or seasoned food from here. 😅

This place is worth finding. Go have a potato taco! Perfect balance of crunchy, creamy, fresh, spicy....and the flour tortillas are worth the trek all on their own. The queso is also super good.
