Nice people there. Don’t get all the positive reviews - maybe the friends and family reviews. This stuff tasted like PURE sugar. This was the WORST ice cream I’ve ever in had in my life. Cost was ridiculously high at $6.00 plus tax for about a scoop and 1/2 of ice cream - which they call a medium. I ate 3 spoonfuls and DUMPED rest in the trash. Wasted money.

Google
It was wonderful. I had the Skee Town Sampler which let's you choose 6 flavors along with 3 toppings. It was ALOT. The girl working there said she had NEVER seen Anyone finish one solo so I said "challenge accepted". I did finish it tho but every bite was amazing. Now she has a story to tell. Highly recommended

Google
This ice cream shoppe is so cute! It's a throw back to the 50's with a black and white checker board floor, red accents, and a working juke box. I thought it was really adorable. The got fudge sundae I had was great and the staff were really friendly. There's a play area for the kids and a nice covered porch to eat your sweet treats. And they have a drive thru!

I loved this place. I’m from Texas and needed a cold refreshing treat…and boy did they deliver over here at Hometown Creamery! Makin me feel like a big boy with a sweet tooth

Google
This is a great addition to our downtown. Family owned and operated. Super staff, great service and fantastic ice cream!

Google
This is the best place to eat ice cream in Muskegon area. They offer a great selection of ice cream products. The staff are really friendly. The hours will extend as the weather warms up. The atmosphere is cozy and homey showcases local Muskegon history.

Google
Great ice cream, staff took extra care about nut allergies.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream, very friendly staff. The Lumberjack Sundae was great. Old time style ice cream parlor.

Yelp
The cutest ice cream place with lots of choices! They had seating inside and out. We had 2 Superman cones and they came with a face! My son ordered sorbet which he loved. We also ordered 2 shakes. The ice cream was pretty standard but it's the extras that make this place fun. The cones had candy faces, there is a free jukebox with golden oldies to dance to, they have a pinball machine for 25 cents and every game gets a free bouncy ball, and just a really cool atmosphere. It's located right downtown with lots of little shops close by.

Yelp
This place was awesome! Huge selection of ice cream and tons of options in terms of how to enjoy it. Scoops, shakes, flurries and more. Really enjoyed the ambiance as well!

Yelp
Amazing portions at a great price. Nice atmosphere. The entire front wall can be folded away, giving you an outdoor feel. My family ordered multiple things, shakes, sundaes, cones, etc., over a few days and none of us were disappointed. Plus, it's within walking distance of everything.

Yelp
What a fun post-lake find! Hometown Creamery is an ice cream shop in Muskegon that has tonnnnnns of choices (almost overwhelmingly so) ranging from soft serve (vanilla, chocolate, twist, and a bunch of Flavor Burst options), hard serve (including one sugar free choice), sundaes, smoothies, slushies and more! The drive-thru is currently open but due to covid, the inside is still closed. When we arrived at 9:10 pm, just after sunset, there were a few cars in line but they were quick. Hometown Creamery had multiple staff on duty and were efficient. My dad ordered a large chocolate soft serve for only a couple of dollars and it was hugggggge! My flurry with Oreos and peanut butter cups was also large and delicious! If I lived nearby, I'd visit this place often!

Yelp
Simple, nice friendly staff, who can make a Sundae just perfect. The drive up is the only way to place your order. It's a little slow but it is worth the wait. There is a menu board that you can see all of the amazing things they can make. There is a special menu with a Occidental Hot Fudge Sundae, Pigeon Hill Sundae and other specialties, flurries, shakes, cones and much more. Their ice cream is Hudsonville hard and they offer soft serve too. There is delivery and pickup orders as well. In time they will be able to have their parlor open. A nicely themed and inviting place to enjoy your ice cream.

Yelp
The best ice cream shop for creative and delicious sundaes in Muskegon! A destination must. Even if you aren't in the mood for a sundae their soft serve is yummy and fairly priced. What more could a person ask for? Oh yes, their customer service rocks!

Kim S.

Yelp
Cute little ice cream shop. They serve quality and tasty ice cream. The waffle cones were delicious.

Yelp
Hometown Creamery is a nice little ice cream parlor with indoor and outdoor dining areas. The inside has a small, 50's themed dinning area and the outside is a nice lawn, 4-5 picnic tables, a bench, and a nice playground. Now to business: They serve Hudsonville ice cream, their staff is friendly, their facility is clean, and their prices are reasonable. There are at least 5 other parlors within a few miles, and this one is the family favorite.

Maggie D.

Yelp
Cannot recommend enough! We stopped off the highway here on our way home from Northern Michigan and it was the best ice cream we had all week. So many flavor options, huge scoops of ice cream, and extremely nice service. Willing to plan another trip in the area just to go back!

Jim K.

Yelp
Great selection of hard serve. Very friendly and helpful. gotta love the waffle cone. Worth every bite. travel off the beatin path for a cone full of greatness

Liz W.

Yelp
Great local ice cream stop. Always clean and the staff is very friendly. Kids love the free jukebox and the play area outside. Short on time? They have a drive-thru.

Carroll M.

Yelp
Not originally from the area and looked up ice cream parlors. Yelp suggested this place. Large portions for a great price. Excellent customer service and had a drive thru. Many places to sit and had a wide range of unique flavors. Will definitely be coming back again when I'm in town.

Kim K.

Yelp
This is some of the best ice cream I have ever had. It is homemade and a family-owned business. You will not find any freezer burn here and there are so many different flavors to choose from! I wish they had this place in California because it is to die for.

Yelp
The pigeon hill sundae was the best sundae we've ever had. Big enough to share with 3 people and so reasonably priced! We'll be back!

David B.

Yelp
Old fashioned style ice creamery - family-run, friendly, treats are made with care - outstanding. We're fans of the hot fudge brownie sundae. Despite being a 20-minute drive from our house, we still make the trip about once a week. Bonus: playground outside for the kids to run off some of their sugar rush.

Kori Y.

Yelp
Great Little Ice cream stand. They server Stroh's ice cream which is on of my favorites.

Andrea J.

Yelp
TI think my boyfriend sums this place up well "The malts were great but the ice cream was nothing to write home about." The ice cream was like as if it had been left out and then re-frozen and then served to you. But the chocolate malts both soft and hard served-were delicious.

L S.

Yelp
Clarification: free CONE when checking in on Yelp. You pay for the ice cream. The coconut ice cream flavor was delicious, but I didn't appreciate this tricky marketing.

Allee P.

Yelp
LOOOOOOVE. This place seriously has the best smoothies, and the family staff is great!

Kathleen S.

Yelp
What a great place! They are people pleasers! Will make whatever you ask for! And what a great place for a family and friends reunion! We went there and had hot dogs and ice cream with a bunch of family and friends from out of town! The owners and workers could not have been more accommodating! Just a fun/great place in the summer! We WILL be BACK! Thanks!
