My family and I have been coming here forever. The heroes here are second to none! This is by far one of the best hero spots on Long Island! All the food is always fresh and hot. One of the most important parts of a hero is the bread and theirs is delicious! In my personal opinion my go to hero there is the Nor’Easter. I would certainly recommend Home Town Heroes!

5 star heroes from a 5 star establishment!! They truly are top notch. My only complaint is that they don't have another location closer to me! That being said, they are WELL worth the drive. Highly, highly recommended.

Great heroes and wraps! Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service. Always hits the spot. Highly recommend this deli!

Being a Long islander you would look at a deli with a 4.5 star review and think you’re definitely gonna get a great sandwich but coming here I wasted about $11 of my money. My sandwich had one slice of each meat on it and it was as light as a feather, if you’re looking for a sandwich with barely anything on it you’ll get that here. It’s a shame it seemed to have so much potential to then receive that

My usual hero place flaked out on me so I had to find a new place to get a hero. I ordered a 3 foot chicken cutlet, roasted red pepper, and mozzarella (which the girl taking my order annoyingly kept mispronouncing as “mootzarell”) hero. It was ready on time, still warm and ABSOLUTELY delicious! The bread was soft and tasty, the cutlet was juicy and not dry. It was perfect. They’ve earned me as a new customer.

Love this place. Usually great food. But yesterday I ordered a buffalo chicken cutlet hero for pickup. After driving the 30 minutes home, I realized that there was no buffalo sauce and no blue cheese on it. For a sandwich costing me over $20 and all that was on it was plain cutlet and mozzarella–big disappointment.

Food is not bad. Expensive $20 heroe and that's with taking lettuce and tomatoes off! Way way over priced. Not jersey Mike's. Constantly have to tell them to put the heroe together like a heroe(sideways). Tired of eating it like a hotdog. But food is good I guess. Just not worth 20 or the aggravation of explaining how to put a heroe together. It's like holding a cheeseburger side ways and being stumped on why everything fell on your lap. Just not how you do it.

My husband and i found this shop on Instagram (we're foodies). We both love trying different places, but this was on another level. We drove almost 2 hours and it was totally worth it. I had the Mac Attack, which is basically chicken cutlet w/ macaroni and cheese on a hero. I had to bring it home because i couldn't finish it. My husband had their new sandwich (Jay Jay). It was fresh, filling, and delicious. Definitely recommend!!
