Honest Burgers Will Open a New London Restaurant in Waterloo | Eater London

"This burger chain is opening its 24th London outlet on the Cut in Waterloo. Backed by a substantial refinancing deal in March, it has continued rapid expansion despite challenging market conditions and previously proposed a plan to reach 50 sites nationally by 2020, with growth into Manchester alongside Bristol, Cambridge and Reading. Its latest accounts show turnover up 51% year-on-year and gross profit rising from £7.6 million to £11.5 million. Against a backdrop of competitors struggling despite menu innovations, the chain’s performance — and the directors’ acknowledgment of typical industry risks such as competition and economic conditions — suggests it is navigating those pressures better than most." - James Hansen

Overall: Food: Burgers An honest review for Honest Burgers. I’ve been to several locations from Hammersmith to Chiswick via Notting Hill and always really enjoyed the experiences. Waterloo has let the team down- solely on service on a not particularly busy Saturday night. We all know hospitality is on its knees and this is the time to step up and look after your guests spending their hard earned in your restaurant. Make people feel welcome, smile, don’t check your mobile phone every five minutes - we see you. Instead check on your customers, make sure their food is all delivered and items aren’t missing and even then still charging for things which didn’t turn up. Know your products - when asked what type of red wine you serve don’t just say ‘it’s red’! And on that note - the 125ml serving should be an embarrassment at that price point. Your burgers are good but small yet we still give you our custom when we have a lot of choice. The managers need to manage their staff and double check customers are all happy. It starts at the top. If the managers don’t particularly care why should those serving you? What a disappointment. What I liked: • Nepo beer • Rosemary chips • Smash burger What I didn’t like: • Worst service of any Honest Burger location • Portion sizes are small • Would be nice to see some less processed options for non meat eaters in the group. Do I recommend going? NO (Not to The Cut, Waterloo) Will I go again? NO (Not to The Cut, Waterloo) Was it good value? YES Price Point: $$

We were absolutely satisfied. Team took great care of us and made sure we felt very comfortable. They ware cheerful, helpful, and the service was super quick. We really enjoyed food, meats ware prepared as we request and onion chutney was really delicious. 👍

Overall the food is good and the atmosphere is young and cool. There's music in the background and the service is always available and friendly. The hamburger dishes are pretty good and there are some interesting options. On the down side the hamburgers are not very big and might not be enough if you're a big eater. Furthermore the rosemary salted fries are a nice touch but they were way too salty for my taste.

Best burger for a very long Time. I tried The Waterloo burger and I can recommend it. I ordered The burger "rare" which usually means medium, but to my surprise I got what i ordered and it was excellent. This is not a fancy place by no means, but it focus on serving Great food and does so very well. . The people working there seems quite happy about it and it shows in The service.

We ordered uber eats from here and it was incredible, so glad we chose Honest Burgers and we will definitely either order from them again or visit the restaurant itself. The order arrived quickly and was hot and presented well. The chips are genuinely delicious and they had tasty vegan options available on the menu, as well as an easily accessible allergen menu online. The portion sizes are generous and I would describe this as real comfort type food. I look forward to another experience at Honest Burgers in the future!

At Honest Burgers Waterloo you can truly taste the quality — perfectly cooked burgers, fresh ingredients, and a relaxed vibe. A great place to stop and enjoy one of London’s best burgers

Ordered the chicken burger, wings and salad for delivery. Wasn’t impressed with the chicken burger, it tasted chewy like left overnight. The wings were ok, a blob of hot sauce was pasted at the bottom. Good that it didn’t make the wings soggy. I liked the skinny fries scattered with it. The salad was decent. I think this would have been better ordered to eat at the restaurant. I’ve ordered the beef burger for delivery before and that was much better.

I love Honest burgers! As a coeliac, I feel I can trust their food. I absolutely love the chips, and it’s good to know they’re fried in oil that hasn’t had gluten in it. On this visit, I had the Southern Fritter which had a nice bit of spice to it, I’d definitely have it again. I also had the green salad which was lovely. The staff are always attentive and professional.
