Such a lovely cafe, I love the atmosphere. The staff was kind too. I love how they were all so cheerful and gave me smiles. It made me feel so welcome. My matcha latte was amazing as well. Thank you guys for being so great!

To be honest, I don’t understand how this place has 4.6 stars. Their coffee is fine. Their other drinks are just bad. I got the most mediocre/bad hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie of my life here, and I’m someone who likes every hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had. Regardless, I decided to give this place another chance and it did not redeem itself. The iced coffee was fine, tasted like iced coffee. But the monthly special fizzy iced tea tasted like someone melted some kind of hard candy and mixed it with weak tea and ice. Gross, to be honest. I’d come here again to get only the most basic of drinks. Has a nice ambiance.

I have become a regular at honest and absolutely love it! The coffee is wonderful, the food is delicious, and the service is on point. Megan always takes care of me and my family when we come in. You will know her for her fun blue hair but will feel her glowing kindness and loving personality. Her and the rest of the staff treat us like family! I could not recommend honest enough.

I stopped in here on Monday after arriving for a work trip with some peers. We grabbed some food and coffee and planned on exploring the town for breakfast the rest of the week. However, we had such a great time that we ended up here every morning for a week and I sincerely wish I could go more. Great food, great drinks, and fantastic people. The staff is a welcoming, caring mix of people who truly started our day off perfectly.

My family and I have been coming here lately and have really enjoyed it every time. The food is really good and didn't take long to be served. Drinks were well made and delicious. A great spot to start your walk from if you plan on walking around Big Springs.

Great ambience, with very friendly faces defined by hospitable norms that always keep you coming back for more. At this point, I’d call it my primary office lol. It’s a pretty chill place with great food (my personal favorites are the honey biscuits and hot chicken, and the spinach with salmon and sour cream combo! My God!) and amazing people.

Menu has breakfast and lunch options, as well as many coffees. I tried the Bootlegger with bourbon caramel sauce and loved the flavors. It's pretty busy on the weekends, but staff did a great job getting orders out.

Great service and delicious coffees and tea. Did not grab anything to eat as we were hitting the road. Location is beautiful and the staff is friendly and attentive.

What a beautiful coffee shop. This place has plenty of seating with all your favorite coffee drinks and some food options as well. Fast friendly service with lots of plants and sunshine. My cuban was delightful.

Excellent coffee, and some good breakfasts if you're looking for interesting options, they have them. Enough seating, for that busy morning rush hour. The people were super nice. Place is clean.

Absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I stopped by on our last day while visiting Huntsville and these were the best coffees we've ever had no lie. My husband is a great home hobbyist barista so he knows a good bit about how to make good coffee, he makes lattes for us almost daily and they're wonderful but this place blew us away. Their house made sauces were to die for. Hubs is now on a mission to make his own similar caramel sauce to the one they use here. The food was delicious too, I had a sausage egg and cheese biscuit, husband got the daybreak bagel. We wound up splitting both items with each other so we could each try it and they were both so good. One specific thing that stood out to me with the food was how large and sweet the blueberries on the bagel were. They were phenomenal! If we're ever in the Huntsville area again, we'll definitely be coming back by this place!

Cottage Core Latte - floral, sweet lavender and vanilla flavors with oat milk. Light on lavender but it was a delicious latte and it kept me up all day rather than getting drowsy. So I'd have to give it a thumb up! Bom Bom Bowl - açaí, granola, cacao powder, cacao nibs, banana, strawberries and honey. Refreshing and light pick up in the afternoon. Perfect snack before putting a work out in! Loved the combination of chocolate and açaí. The service was quick and friendly! The staff is very open and interactive. The ambiance is very chill and seems like a good spot to bring some work in and people watching as well. Love the vibes there!

I went here several times when I was in town for business. I had the chai which is my go to drink but it was just okay. I tried a decaf latte with oat milk and it was great. I had the bagel with almond butter and fruit twice and it was delicious. Nice to have a healthier option. Atmosphere was nice, plenty of seating. Service was nice and quick.

WOW! This coffee shop is out of this world. The chai tea latte is nice and spicy! And the s'mores latte ACTUALLY taste like a s'more! This is a must stop.

Visiting Huntsville for the week while my kid is at Space Camp. This place has incredible coffee!! Highly recommend the Cottage Core!!

Super friendly! We had two coffees and a cookie for 17 which is a little pricy but the coffee is delicious. A great place to study or for a date.

Sister and I visited Honest a week ago Monday. She needed an afternoon java fix, and I needed to use the restroom. Upon entering, the aroma of coffee beans was just delightful! That alone was an afternoon pick-me-up for me! The place was clean, well, organized, and she had her [insert fancy coffee name] with an extra expresso shot in no time! It was also really full, full of folks with laptops, books, and coffee both inside and outside. Good to see a local place being supported! Parking was easy in the original [my word] parking garage that has been in downtown HSV forever and was free since we were in/out of the area in less than half an hour. Why no 5th star? Since it was my first time here, I didn't know they had two unisex restrooms, one on each side of the restaurant. Anyway, I was 2nd in line, and had to wait forever at the west side restroom - so long the young lady ahead of me just left. I was knocking on the door and no one would answer [???] - so, anyway, it took quite a while to use their facilities. An employee finally came out, just kinda strange not to say "almost done!" or "give me just a second!"

I got the hot chicken and honey biscuit with mocha latte. It didn't disappoint. Love the location, atmosphere, and no complaints on the beverage.

Pretty good coffee. It's straight to the point and is a good pick-me-up for the road. Service were nice and knowledgeable about their products. Inside was clean and welcoming for laptop users.

I'd say they're actually 4.5 stars, but I round up for Yelp. This coffee shop is among my top five favorites in the greater Huntsville/Madison area. My husband and I have been here many times in the past two and a half years. Pros - Great location - Cozy atmosphere - Good pastries - Lots of great breakfast and lunch options, and breakfast is served all day. The food is great. - Great service - Good coffee - Paper menus - Great seasonal drinks and flavors - Indoor and outdoor seating - Open on Sundays - No paper cups Cons - I wish they had a few more year-round latte flavorings - No self-serve water. Their staff is very busy, and I hate having to pester people for water. Please let me get it for myself. - The lack of seating at this location can be maddening. They tend to attract a lot of people who come in just to hang out and who don't support the business by actually purchasing anything. I'm perfectly fine with someone staying for a long time to hang out as long as they support the business (buy a drink, a cookie, anything!). But I've seen a lot of people just come in, order nothing, and take up seats during peak busy hours. Meanwhile, paying customers who order lots of food and drink can't find anywhere to sit. I guess this is one of the downfalls of being at a hip downtown location. Despite my few minor gripes, my husband and I do really like this place. They have convenient hours and lots of great food and drink options. My husband loves their Lox bagel, and I really like their Bree-LT.

Great food and coffee my wife and I are vegan and they had great options that taste awesome.

I got a Bee's Knees and my friend got a Bootlegger extra sweet. The drinks were great, they were at a temperature right between hot and warm. And stayed that way for quite a while. I got the Avocado Toast, which was really good. I just wanted a little salt and pepper but they didn't have that in store? Not sure what my friend ate but she regularly enjoys the spot and asked specifically to go there.

Paid $6 for a coffee that was incorrect. I assume it was probably rang in incorrectly because the guy on the register seemed to be new. No receipt option was given after tipping. Nice staff, the coffee itself just wasn't great.

As I travel I'm always on the lookout for the local coffee spot that isn't a chain (at least a national one). If you are like me then this is worth a shot. The prices are higher then average but you do need to take into account that you are along the strip on the downtown area. When you are surrounded by financial district and municipal offices you are going to pay a slightly higher premium. Having tried three different local coffee shops in the last three weeks during my stay this one is my favorite to date and the one I would most likely recommend. As to the coffee - The espresso had a nice flavor and was not to acidic. I also tried the chai tea latte. It was good though not great so I would stick to coffee. I ended up going back and adding a shot of espresso to it which rounded it out nicely. They ask if it's for here or to go and if you are staying, they serve in a actual mug that is not styrofoam or plastic. Major points to all the coffee shops that do that. The service was friendly and they were quick even though the place was very busy. After seeing how quickly the food came out for other and trying the coffee out I decided to order breakfast. I gave the hot chicken and biscuit a try. It was worth waiting in line to order again tho a bit small for the price (downtown pricing for food as well as coffee) I also always love a place that names all the plants. You can feel the good vibes they are trying to put off.

A coffee shop is supposed to have good coffee, right, that's just table stakes. Honest Coffee Roasters Americano hit it out. The staff is organized and proficient, a bonus. The place was bustling at 9 am on a Wednesday. Friends chatting, remote workers typing on quiet keyboards, business meetings, younger and older, nice background sound track, street parking was easy. Good vibe and kind of unicorn of coffee shops.

Had the build my own Açaí bowl. The açaí tasted really good and had a decent amount of toppings. Also, it came out after 2 minutes of ordering. Really nice place with a lot of parking. Will visit again.

Amazing coffee shop! They have a few different baked goods like muffins and cookies but none of it really stood out to me. There's 2 seating areas so plenty of space to sit down and do work or just relax and enjoy a coffee. Their drink menu is pretty simple. Syrup options aren't listed but they have a few specialty lattes. They serve breakfast and brunch, so there's different bagels, burritos, oatmeal, etc. I don't normally order hot lattes but it was so cold so I got the bootlegger latte, which has their house-made caramel bourbon sauce. It comes in 2 sizes- 8 oz and 12 oz, but the barista told me they have the same amount of espresso (2 shots) so I got the 8 oz and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! It's not bitter at all and has a nice mellow, smooth taste. It also has a pretty design if you take off the lid.

One of the most bourgeois thing I've done in a while . pretentious and ordinary coffee .. they want a tip to boot.

Sorry to say, but I really don't like this very popular coffee shop in Huntsville. The only reason I give it more than one star is because the açaí bowl is fantastic, but that's the only good thing I have tried here. Service is always good and ambiance is cute. Lots of people actually go work here, and there's a few tables outside too. Now why did I not like it? Can't say I didn't give it several chances. I have tried lattes and noticed they were always on the acidic side, which I'm not used to. Then one day I decided to try a straight shot of espresso, and sure enough, it was like drinking vinegar, so awful, and that's what they use for the lattes. Last time I stopped by was because a friend who was visiting needed vegetarian breakfast, and they happened to have a vegan burrito, but she only ate half because she was hungry but said it tasted like Hamburger Helper. I had the sausage egg and cheese biscuit, which wasn't bad but it was very basic, especially for the price. I really wanted to like this place, but I think I've given it enough tries.

The people are nice and the coffee is good. The LARGE is a 12oz and that is not very HONEST!..... Where else do you go and get a 12oz large?‍ $6..... what is a small? A shot glass?

My to go coffee shop when I'm downtown, love the atmosphere, the coffee, pastries, the people. My favorite sweet treat is their cranberry orange scone with some cappuccino and sitting outside watching people go by

Stopped here not for coffee but for a quick breakfast. We were impressed! We both got açaí bowls. They were packed with toppings which I love! I got the Bom Bom Bowl which had granola, almonds, banana, and strawberries. I also added peanut butter in mine. I really like how they build their açaí bowls. The granola and peanut butter are kind of on the bottom/in the center of the bowl. This just makes it a lot easier to eat and get a little taste of everything in each bite. Their granola is really tasty and very cinnamon-y. Their açaí base is also yummy.

Running around antiquing on a hot Summer day I was in need of a cold beverage. Rolled into this establishment, got a spot right in front, and ordered an iced coffee. Order filled pronto, coffee was incredible notes of cinnamon and spice, perfect brew. Chunks of what looked like hand cracked chunky ice. Little touches go a long way. I loved it.

6 of us came here for a quick breakfast last weekend. Ended up enjoying ourselves and spending more time than expected! We all ordered Bootleggers and none of us left a single drop... such a good latte that wasn't overly sweet or overly bitter. We shared bagels, eggs, but our favorite was the GOAT, which was a lunch sandwich with granny smith apples, pesto, and goat cheese. It actually comes with bacon, but they substituted it with avocado because I'm a vegetarian and it was amazing! Certainly recommend this coffee shop for the caffeine and the food. It's street parking, but free on the weekends! Wait times can be a bit long, but totally worth the wait :D

Just wanted coffee and a muffin but instead had to listen to complaints about injustices and equality. This was my second visit with a similar experience. This is not the conversation to have for counter service and the politics posted in the window is an entirely different discussion. Just provide good service and food without pushing agendas. Honest was honest pre COVID, now they seem too eager to sell propaganda instead of great coffee that we have always enjoyed. As a regular, this will be my last time at Honest.

Amazing in every way. Coffee? Phenomenal. Good options? Phenomenal. Staff? Phenomenal. So welcoming and so kind to recommend places nearby as well - only wish there was anywhere close to my home. Huntsville is spoiled!

I've really been wanting to try this place for a while now. Their coffees and açaí bowls always looked amazing. Since it's 70 degrees and they have outdoor seating, we decided to give it a try. It smells amazing as soon as you walk up. They do have a roped line area to allow for social distancing. They are allowing people to sit inside and outside currently. They do have a large outdoor seating area. However, all the tables were dirty and didn't seem like they were cleaning them. I ordered a mocha mint latte and a small Bom Bom açaí bowl. My husband got their Cuban coffee and salmon bagel. The coffees came out first. Salmon bagel came next and then we had to go in and ask about the açaí bowl. They had them Prepped and handed us one, so I am not sure why that took so long. I'll come back but I hope they give me a coffee design next time.

Service here is very strange and bad. Asked for an 8!oz flat white and was given a 16 ounce latte that was mostly milk. When I explained that this isn't what I ordered they told me "yes it is" went back and forth for a few minutes having to explain to a barista what an 8 oz flat white is. No remake just wanted to refund me and get me out of there. How in the earth did they get that job?

Good coffee and good customer service. Would definitely buy their coffee again when I return.

Do not go here. The server was very rude to both me and my boyfriend. The coffee was overpriced. Most successful coffee shops I've been to have an area of creams and sweeteners and they did not have that option. The coffee had mostly milk and didn't taste great.

This was our first visit to Honest Coffee Roasters in Downtown Huntsville, Alabama. We loved the flavor of the coffee and the outside/sidewalk theme was quite appealing. Unlike more bohemian hippie style local coffee shops like we prefer, this coffee shop had more of a preppie higher class clientele as what you would expect near a middle city, most likely frequented with lawyers and courthouse employees. The flavor of the coffee was great and fancy little designs were made in the cremes on top which was cute. The coffee was very small and the price was much higher than Starbucks or most local coffee shops. We got one pastry and two coffees and the total was around twenty bucks. We recommend and will return.

This place is adorable - really thoughtfully designed to be modern and bright and a great spot to sit with a friend or get work done. And the coffee is delish. Had the season's special and it was super yummy. I'll be back!

Love love loved this place! Best nitro cold brew I've ever tasted, hands down! And the nutcracker latte was fantastic. Exactly what I'd want in a latte. Not too sweet. And look at the pictures, I mean it was beautiful too! Great and friendly service too.

Was in town briefly and stopped by since it's close to the hotel I was staying at. Coffee and cold brew was delicious! Love the ambience and cute decor. Service was good, lots of breakfast options, and orders came out fairly quickly. Loved that this cute little shop was conveniently located where we were staying.

I love Honest's vibe, staff, and vegan options!! Also, if anybody that works at Honest sees this, I am BEGINNING you to keep the Matcha Latte on the menu!!! I have tried every matcha in town (from local shops) and this one is fantastic, especially with the lavender syrup added.

I had the best coffee of my entire trip to Huntsville at Honest Coffee Roasters. I ordered a latte (I think it was called the Bees Knees and it had honey and cinnamon). The sweetness level was just right and didn't overpower the coffee. It was a tasty, well crafted latte. The space is inviting with plenty of seating to hang out and work or just chill. I'd definitely come back here for good coffee when in Huntsville.

Staff is top notch. Coffee is great. I am not--nor do I claim to be--a coffee snob, but I would imagine if I was I'd feel right at home here. Lots of seating, food options looked great, and I'd imagine it would a lovely spot to work or mingle. I just wanted something hot and caffeinated, but I'd stop back for another visit with grub.

During my visit to Huntsville I partook in a craft coffee trail so I visited a lot of coffee shops. Huntsville has no shortage of good craft coffees. Of all the places I enjoyed, Honest seems to be the hub. It was definitely the busiest, lots of buzzing... great vibe. The ambience is upbeat and friendly and the layout affords for chatting and camaraderie. My husband's espresso was sensational as was my specialty latte. As I said, I drank a lot of coffee and was not as meticulous as I should've been keeping notes of what I drank where but I'm guessing you can't go wrong with whatever you order here. Just found my receipt: my latte was the Bee's Knees....and it was! Also, they have a pretty darn cool espresso machine (see pic). Also the food looked good and I'm kind of sorry I didn't order the açaí bowl.... I'll be back.
