Had lunch at Honest Grill and really enjoyed the atmosphere — soft background music, wine-inspired décor, and neatly served side dishes made it feel like a fine dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. I tried the marinated beef short plate; the flavor was nice but the meat was a bit tough. Overall, a great place for anyone looking for an elegant, relaxing meal.

I had a wonderful dining experience here! The food was absolutely delicious—everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But what really made the night special was our server, Mar. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our meal. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask and made us feel so welcome. Her warm personality and genuine care really stood out. Highly recommend this place—and if you come, ask for Mar! She truly made our evening memorable.

We celebrated our anniversary at Honest Grill, and it was such a great experience! Our waitress, Mar, was absolutely amazing. She was so attentive, friendly, and kind, truly going above and beyond to make our night special. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and they even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. The service made all the difference and we really appreciated Mar’s care and positive energy. Thank you for helping make our anniversary dinner so memorable!

Ordered buy 1 get 1 free galbi bibimbap for the second time. The bibimbap is fine but could use improvement. In the first and second order they have been consistently skimping out on rice, vegetables, and mushrooms. They didn’t put any zucchini as they stated in the description. Tiny amount of spinach. Protein amount is good. They can definitely do better.

I find that most Korean bbqs in NOVA are expensive. I wouldn’t mind it it was tasty. It feels like an attempt to “upscale” the food and it’s impacted the taste. I came late one night. My sister and I ordered the signature beef and opted for the brisket. We order scallops as an appetizer and kimchi jiggae and shishito peppers as our sides. I asked for garlic and jalapeños with the brisket. Once I realized the server was burning the meat and not cooking the brisket with the garlic and peppers, I informed her I would cook the rest. The scallops were good hence the two stars. The jiggae was kind of sweet. The meat was a bit fatty with some of the marinated rib finger tasting like only fat. And yet that was the meat that had the most flavor. I don’t mind accentuating the flavor with salt but I shouldn’t have to put it on every piece of meat to enjoy it. (We did for everything but rib finger).

We had tons of fun! The atmosphere is so Beautiful! They care about their customers a lot. The meat was VERY high quality and very tasty with the brown sauce. Many sides come with the grilled dishes. We also loved the chicken thigh!. It’s a GREAT place to go for celebrating your special events! We had the pleasure of being served by Mar, Esther, and Joshua.

Our server Mia served us perfectly. Food here is all amazing so we completed all dishes. Highly recommend for family event or special occasion like birthday. We visited here after playing golf. Awesome! 😎

As I walked into the restaurant I was greeted immediately by the host. She was too nice, too polite, and too professional. Once seated, Mia and Mar took cared of my table. I don't know what kind of business the owners are running here but these ladies are ABSOLUTELY... the best. How dare they know what my needs are before I even ask for it. They are the pinnacle of great service. The gold standard. Unfortunately, my only complaint is that the meat was cooked to perfection. Everything else I eat after today will pale in comparison. How dare you go above and beyond. I'm too impressed. GIVE THESE LADIES A RAISE!

we've been to virtually every Korean bbq in the area but we keep always coming back to Honest. The meats are top quality, the sides tasty and the staff are amazing!

Hands down one of those "why don't we eat like this every week?" kind of meals. The Korean BBQ was next level tender! So soft it basically surrendered to the grill without a fight. Every bite was smoky, juicy, and dangerously addictive. What really sealed the deal, though, was the service. Andre and Mia were absolute pros: perfectly timed, genuinely friendly, and somehow always there exactly when we needed them (BBQ mind-readers, clearly). Come for the melt in your mouth meat, stay for the top tier hospitality, and leave already planning your return.

First off it's been forever since I've dined in Centerville and wow there's so many new options to eat at :) Had to try honest grill last weekend since they offer halal kbbq!? The inside was amazing and not overstimulating like it can be at others like Iron Age or something like that. Our server Maggie was prompt to greet us right away and she was so attentive throughout our meal perfectly grilled and nothing burned! Highly recommend the Galbi if not sure what cut to order!!! Will be back

I dined here on a Monday night with my wife and it was a fantastic choice. They have an à la carte menu but the meat the serve is better quality than other places in the area. Our server's name was TK and he was fantastic! He cooked the meat to our preference and was very attentive. I 10/10 recommend this restaurant.

We had such a great time at Honest Grill! The food was super good and everything came out perfect. But what really made the experience amazing was our server, Clare. She was so nice, attentive, and made sure we were always taken care of. Her energy and kindness truly made our night better. We'll definitely be back, and asking for Clare again!

By far the best Korean BBQ place in the metro DC! We've been coming here for a while now. Mia (one of the newer additions to their team) is also the best server that Honest Grill can have. She's very attentive and gives us enough space to enjoy the meal. Definitely feels like an upscale steakhouse but you get all the great meats and banchan like you would get at other Korean BBQ spots!

This is a bit more upscale feeling than normal KBBQ. The meat quality is of a higher grade in my opinion resulting in a higher price. Their side dishes are on the healthier side with less sugar. I would definitely go back but maybe on a night that has special deals.

Took the girlfriend's parents out for some KBBQ and had an amazing lunch! This is a more upscale KBBQ dining experience with higher quality meats and nicer environment. We absolutely loved the food! The meat was tender and had great flavor. They also provide lots of sides dishes that pair well with the meat. Their kimchi was some of the best I have had in the area. Service was also really good as they cook the meat for you and continually checked on us. Definitely on the pricey end but well worth it for a special occasion. Made a reservation for Sunday night at 6 pm, in a shopping center and so parking was not an issue. They had a variety of cocktails and soju and wine. Cute decor, nice and quiet. A more upscale Korean BBQ place than others. We opted for 2 of the Premium Beef and the Pork & Beef off the Honest Guide. We also ordered the Korean Classic Beef Tartare (appetizer) and Sea Urchin Cod Roe Rice. They bring everything out and gets cooked in front of you pretty quickly. The only service issue we had was towards the end when we were done and he would ask some part of the table if they wanted a refill but I had a difficult time getting his attention for a refill on my drinks. The tartare had great flavor but it was more of Beef pieces instead of your typical chopped beef. The Sea Urchin Cod Roe Rice was my absolute favorite but I think it was just a tad too much mayonnaise. Overall, it was a lot of food but the Premium Beef was our favorite, we loved everything there. Most of the pork and beef was just okay. The Shishito Peppers, Corn Cheese w/ Bacon and the Cheddar Egg Custard were very good. The Soybean Stew was alright. Overall, everything was pretty good and service wasn't bad.

The restaurant is really nice. When you walk in you can see the aged beef on display. The atmosphere and vibe is really chill and classy. We were seated pretty quickly and the menu was explained to us. We got the signature beef guide with a side of King oyster mushrooms and corn and cheese without the bacon. The cuts of beef were exceptional! The we're flavorful and delicious with the sauces and the sides. I really liked the scallions and seaweed side. The service was good. They came and cooked for us each of the cuts of beef. I did feel a bit rushed as the waiter came by regularly to checkin and ask if we wanted the next course of beef cooked. Other than that it was a really good meal!

Wow--this was probably the best KBBQ I've had, and that's saying a lot considering how many spots there are in NoVa. Honest Grill stands out from traditional KBBQ places with its sleek, dark-toned interior, spacious booth seating, and overall elevated vibe. Our server was incredibly sweet and attentive--she explained the menu thoroughly and cooked all the meats for us at the table, balancing attentiveness with discretion. We ordered two beef guides and a cold buckwheat noodle dish to share among three people. While the meat portions aren't huge, I actually appreciated that--it allowed us to really enjoy the wide variety of banchan (side dishes) without feeling overwhelmed. Honest Grill clearly prioritizes quality over quantity, which suits my taste perfectly. The beef brisket was average, but all the other cuts were excellent. The marinated rib finger was definitely my favorite cut: fatty, flavorful, and melt in your mouth tender. The banchan was also a highlight. They offered a great mix of classics--pickled radish, cucumber and onion, kimchi--as well as two refreshing salads: a green onion and cabbage salad, and a spring mix with creamy dressing. As a veggie lover, I devoured both. From the special sides included with the meat guides, we picked the stir-fried brussels sprouts (amazing--especially with whole garlic cloves) and tofu kimchi (too salty; would not recommend). One of the unexpected stars of the meal was the cold buckwheat noodles (bibim naengmyeon). The chewy noodles, paired with crisp red cabbage, daikon, and cucumber in a chilled broth with the spicy sauce was sooo satisfying--I kept going back for more. It was exactly what we needed to cut through the richness of the meat. I was thoroughly impressed with my entire experience and am already looking forward to coming back to try their lunch sets.

Super fancy and pretty interior! Decorated with so many wine bottles. We've been eyeing the lunch deal for a bit and finally got a chance to try it! It was different than what I expected since i'm used to KBBQ cooking in front of you but they actually cook it in the back and serve it cooked and seasoned. Brisket lunch - I feel like there could be a bit more pieces for the price. It was slightly salty and slightly more cooked than I would have liked but overall I liked the seasoning and thought it was very good! Love the slightly cooked onions it came on top of too. 3/5 Marinated Rib fingers - I would order this one next time instead! Love the sweet galbi like marinade and lots of pieces. Meat was tender and juicy! also comes on top of onions. 4/5 Kimchi and pork stew - Very good! More traditional and sour flavor but super flavorful. I would get this again especially since it's like $6 to add on. I wish they had more pork pieces, i think I ate 2-3 but the 2-3 i ate were super soft and melty and great. 4.25/5 Cold bibim noodles - Feels like it was lacking a bit of flavor somehow. It's made with the softer buckwheat noodles thats easier to choose which I personally prefer! I love eating bibim with meat and this was also a ~$6 add on so no real complaints but I'd prob just stick to stews next time. 3/5

My friend and I ordered through Uber Eats and just loved this place!! my friend ordered the ribeye bulgogi bibimbap and he devoured his meal!! I ordered the spicy pork collar bibimbap, however, WITHOUT the spice and NO CARROTS or EGG. It was delicious!! We also shared a side dish of the stir--fried king, oyster mushrooms, and they were delicious as well! We will definitely be ordering from here again because the service was great!!

I've always liked Honest Grill. In my opinion, it's one of the better KBBQ spots in Centreville, alongside Gogiville. It far exceeds places like Meat Project, Sō, and Iron Age. The meat quality is great, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is a bit more upscale. During this visit, they were running a deal from August 1 to August 31 for the beef combo at 30 dollars per person. If you've been to Honest Grill before (or even if you haven't), you'd know that's a great deal. One thing I think Honest Grill lacks is their sides. The steamed egg is made with cheese, which gives it a heavy cheddar flavor, and the corn cheese with bacon is also smothered in cheddar instead of the usual mozzarella. If you're in the mood for something more upscale, Honest Grill is a solid pick. If you prefer a chiller and livelier vibe, Gogiville is a great option too. Both places are good, and the price usually ends up being about the same, excluding the current promotion.

The only restaurant worth leaving the house for! Michelle was amazing and Mia was a great support - they doubled down on the service and cooking skills with flawless results - all the meat was cooked to perfection. Also - the side salads and sides in general are just as delicious. Will be coming here again!

Really great ambience! Clean and modern inside and the place was quiet on a Sunday. Staff was attentive and cooked all the meat for you. I loved the signature beef choice and the second and third cuts were the best by far. The NY strip was a little too fatty for me. Really high quality meats. I liked the corn cheese with no bacon. The only suggestion I would have is to offer more sauces but the one they have is really good. I would come back, it is pricey compared to some KBBQ but still really good.

Our waitresses Esther and Mar were very attentive and accommodating. They also cooked the meats perfectly. The meal was delicious and as usual, I love their scallion salad.

Oh my god. We had such an incredible meal. We got the pork and beef combo, the meat was so flavorful on its own, I didn't want to dip it in the sauce too much to cover any of it. This is the first time I've been happy that we didn't cook our own meat, our server Jin was super talented and a lot better than we could ever do. He had so much attention to detail, he was making sure every side of every piece was cooked right. He also asked us about how cooked we wanted it, which I appreciated. (Also we realized we'd been cooking pork belly wrong, we didn't know you had to cut it) Also the free banchan was really good. Also this is random but for whatever reason the restaurant wasn't soaked in k bbq smell, we didn't feel like it got in our clothes Honestly I have no desire to go to any other kbbq place now ...

The atmosphere is a little more upscale than other Korean bbqs we've been to but so was the quality. The sides were were delicious and generous as was the meat choices. Our server, Jin, was very helpful and attentive and knew what we needed before we even said it. We would definitely come back!

Our server, Mar, made the entire experience even better. She was attentive, friendly with the kids, and had great menu recommendations that really hit the spot. It's rare to find service that feels both professional and genuinely warm, but Mar nailed it. We selected the signature beef from the honest guide which was more than enough for two. I highly recommend the soybean soup as a side. Overall, Honest Grill is a standout in Centreville -- honest food, honest service, and a dining experience that's worth coming back for.

We've been dining here for a few years now, and it remains an exceptional choice for Korean BBQ. Honest Grill still delivers an elevated experience that sets it apart from traditional KBBQ spots - the quality of ingredients is consistently high, and the service continues to be excellent. That said, I've noticed what seems like a subtle shift in the marinades, particularly with the galbi from the set menu. There's a more pronounced presence now of what I can only describe as a sesame seed oil type flavor that wasn't as dominant before. The flavors are still well-executed, but I find myself missing the balance that previously let the sweetness shine through more prominently. This is admittedly splitting hairs and is more of a preference observation than a quality concern. I can't confirm whether the recipe actually changed or if my palate has simply evolved. Despite this minor quibble, Honest Grill remains a standout. The attention to detail, from the carefully prepared sides to the attentive service, continues to make this a place worth returning to.

Came for early dinner yesterday - name is Rediet . I have it 2 star because food was good and the guy waiter was super nice . The lady has nasty attitude and made nasty comments more than once and ruined my date. We asked we only want one bowl of the unlimited brisket even though it's unlimited . We are not saying we won't pay we just want one bowl. She said " do you guys even know what you order?" Wheww such nasty waiter . Will never be back or recommend the place but we still have each $20 tip because we don't mistreat people .

Amazing food and stellar service by Mar. We ordered the Pork and Beef guide and the meats were perfectly cooked. We also got the sea urchin cod roe and is to die for. 10/10 experience.

This is my first time here, the ambiance is romantic for a date, I was in a date actually with me wife, food has so good even my wife enjoyed the beef. The service with Mia was excellent, she help us all the way with our food. She was so nice. Coming back soon definitely.

Honest Grill serves high quality BBQ in a modern, black, sleek interior. Bonus - all of their tables are booths. They had a limited selection of banchan compared to other places, but their meats were the highlight. Service was very attentive and cooked our meat well! It's pretty pricey here for KBBQ but well worth especially for special occasions (or if you just have money like that).

Honest Grill represents an upscale take on Korean BBQ. The meet here is much higher quality than your average BBQ place. The care taken to cook the meat is also elevated. I have tried all the pork dishes and all are excellent. The marinated pork is a bit on the sweeter side. The sides are also great. Both regular and white kimchi have great flavor, and the scallion salad has a nice sesame oil flavor. I also really enjoyed the corn cheese. Service is excellent. We had Andre and he was very detail orientated with cooking. He made sure to sear all sides of the meat. One space where they could stand to improve is in the drinks. The cocktails are not the best. The old fashioned was decent but do not expect a craft cocktail. The midori sour was basically Mountain Dew.

3rd time we've been and the experience keeps getting better! They've added an semi ayce option with brisket for an extra fee per person and with honest grill's meat quality, it's a steal! Mia was such a knowledgeable server and even impressed us with all her foodie knowledge! She needs to either make her own foodie account or vlog!!!!

Most korean bbq places will bring the raw meat and walk away but they cooked the entire meal for us to perfection! We will be returning to Honest Grill!

Came here on a Sunday after noon. This place is located in the middle of an outdoor strip mall so there's lots of parking to go around. I was surprised to find out that this was more of a fine dining restaurant than your topical bbq joint. That being said with the extra service came with a higher price tag, which I didn't mind at all because the quality of the food here was good and the service was on point. I really enjoyed how the waiter would come by often as check up on us, and they cut and cook your meat for you here. I really enjoyed the raw beef tar tar, and the scallops which were nice and big. They also have aged beef here which is not common at lower bbq joints which I enjoyed. I think if you're looking for a date night this would be a nice place to go, as it wasn't too loud and I didn't see any kids around.
