Honest Mary's

This was my second time trying out this spot, it’s becoming my favorite place for a healthy meal. I ordered the honey chicken bowl and it was absolutely amazing! I also love that they offer bone broth! I have a feeling that I’ll be returning regularly here.

High quality tasty and healthy food, who says healthy food has to be bland and boring, we built our own bowls, the cabbage was delicious, so was the rice, I liked the honey mustard chicken, the ingredients seemed fresh and high quality, will be back! Also the place is clean and inviting, they have a nice kids area outside too.

I love this place!! Very healthy and fresh ingredients! So much variety. I really enjoy making a hearty bowl with grains, protein, and veggies. The whole family can find something they like. Highly recommend.

Came for the grand opening and the vibes were immaculate!! The kitchen area looked clean and tidy. The chicken that I ordered was still warm. There were a lot of sauce options and I chose the lemon herb yogurt. Beautiful weather today to go with a healthy meal!

Honestly I was expecting a bit more flavor when it came to some of the food, the food is quite bland unless you have some of the sauce but even the sauce itself is mid... the chicken is quite dry accept one piece I had felt undercooked with the fat. The steak though good texture! People were nice though oh and the bone broth was actually pretty good!

Honest Mary’s is such a great spot! Fresh vegetables and fruits to choose from, and the bowls are always delicious. We especially love that they offer a kids bowl—it makes it perfect for the whole family. Healthy, tasty, and super reliable every time we visit.

I like this place, delicious bowls, friendly staff Some of the staff really care, like if its the end of the container, some of them make sure to get a fresh one instead of dumping the old bits into the bowl, i really appreciate it when they do that. I come often & notice some inconsistency with portions & the sweet potatoes have been undercooked… these are a sad surprise Overall I appreciate this place a lot!

Today, I visited this place and had an unfortunate experience while ordering. When I inquired about adding spinach to my build-your-own plate, the person assisting me seemed upset and responded rather rudely, saying I should have mentioned it earlier. This interaction left me feeling uncomfortable, and upon noticing how small the portions were for a plate priced at $15 and up, I decided to cancel my order. With both the unkind attitude and the portion sizes, I felt it was better to spend my money elsewhere.

I was in town all week on business, and tried a few different healthy restaurants. Honest Mary's was the absolute standout! The service was friendly and fast. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the vibe was modern and relaxing. I ordered the Aloha Poké bowl, it did not even need the dressing. The flavors keep together beautifully. Next time in Austin, this will be a staple.

Happy to have y'all in the Mueller neighborhood, and I'm definitely excited to be a regular. An allergy-friendly and healthy food option has been sorely lacking from the area, and Honest Mary's is definitely a very tasty player for filling that niche. I've already been in twice since their opening, and both bowls have been fantastic. Both Poke and Chicken protein options are delicious, and the topping options are both fresh and innovative. I've been adding the gremolata, which I find very interesting. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options available. The staff were very knowledgeable with answering any questions I had, which is a GREAT sign -- being trained so well so quickly. I attended their grand opening event as well, and they really know how to kick things off with a burst of enthusiasm. I wish them well and look forward to many pleasant lunches in the coming months and years.

This was my first time at an Honest Mary's. This location was so nice! The interior was clean and it was in a walkable area with plenty of street/garage paid parking. We went at 1:45pm on Monday and it wasn't crowded at all. We walk right up to order. I got a build your own bowl with rice, quinoa, spinach, chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, cucumber and goat cheese. I love the wide variety of toppings especially the goat cheese! The chicken was good but could be seasoned a little more. I did come across a tendon or something rough but that's okay. The lemon garlic dressing was delicious and complimented all the flavors well. Next time I'll probably swap out the broccoli for another option. The mushrooms were really yummy! Since this was my first time the menu was a little confusing since I didn't realize all the categories had quantity limitations. I might have prioritized a crunchy topping instead of the ones I got.

Attended Honest Mary's grand opening and I'm sure glad that we have this new addition to the Mueller area! There is both indoor and outdoor seating-- the interior looks very minimalistic and clean with purchaseable merch. Both times I've been to Honest Mary's, the employees have been extremely knowledgeable to my questions. Their menu includes signature bowls as well as the option to build your own. The first bowl I got at the grand opening included sweet potatoes, edamame, avocado, chicken, arugula, and lemon herb yogurt. The second bowl is black rice, tofu, squash, slaw, and cauliflower. Both times the protein tasted warm so I know they were not left on the counter for too long. Can't wait to come by again to try one of their Signature Bowls!

This location is just as delicious as all the rest :) I'm completely obsessed with Honest Mary's and their delicious, healthy, and filling bowls. It's so easy to eat vegan here and so many choices. I always do the build your own tofu bowl with arugula, varied veggies, avocado and the poblano sauce. You truly cannot go wrong here. Highly highly recommend!!

I'm always looking for more healthful restaurants, but we all have different health needs. So many "healthy" restaurants end up being high carb and low protein, and Honest Mary's is no different. So it's not high high carb, but it's not high high protein either. I try to eat high protein, with limited processed carbs. Of course we can pay extra for more protein, but the protein choices were a little limited - no cheesy cheeses (only feta and goat cheese) and no salmon, tuna, bacon, or other meat and dairy that lend a lot of flavor to our veggies. Fortunately, we can customize our bowls, which makes up for a lot of the disappointment. So many other restaurants leave you stuck with things you don't want to eat, in order to get the things you want. There was none of this here! I meant to be good and get spinach as my base, but I was curious to try the farro even though it's a higher carb grain. They let me do part farro and part spinach as my base. Once I was doing that kind of thing, I also asked for half beef, half chicken, which they were cool with. After that, I stopped the special requests. There were lots of veggies that I wanted to try, and my bowl turned out pretty good. Still, it didn't quite satisfy me, and I ended up overeating later, because I was still craving more. My friend planned for a group of five of us ladies to meet here for a healthy birthday brunch this past Sunday. We had the place to ourselves when we got there at 11, and so ordering went quickly and smoothly. We ended up staying and talking for a long long time, but there were enough other empty seats that we didn't seem to be imposing on them. One of the staff members was kind enough to take our picture! I'm sure I'll be back, because my friends love this place. As long as I temper my expectations, I can get a decent meal here too.

I love Honest Mary's. Whenever the body needs to be taken care of, I can eat at Honest Mary's, eat well, get something that tastes good and keep my doctors very happy. So I hope that the Honest Mary's at Mueller makes it. * * * The evening signs were not auspicious. I showed up 7:30 ish to an empty place. Chuy's two doors down was packing them in. Now to be sure, Chuy's serves beer and margaritas. It could be that the Honest Mary's crowd eats there for lunch Maybe the Honest Mary customers eat a healthy dinner at 5:30 and then go for an early bedtime. Maybe the Honest Mary customers are all spending their evenings doing yoga meditation. Maybe more people would come to Honest Mary's at night if they had their own margaritas garnished with locally sourced kale. * * * I still hope Honest Mary's at Mueller makes it. Good for you and tasting good are not so easy to find in this town if you want both in the same place. I hope the next time I go to Honest Mary's Mueller the joint is packed and I have to wait in line. If I am feeling decadent, I can get one of their almond cookies.

CELERY- BRATE THE GOOD TIMES! Needed a lunch spot for a picky eater. But also needed something that was a little more on the healthier side. When I found Honest Mary's I thought it would be a good place to try. We arrived when they had first opened. So it was a little daunting as there wasn't many people inside. It's never a good sign when a resturant first opens and there is no one inside when you arrive. However, if this concept is better as an online order option then I guess I can understand. The set up is very similar to Chipotle/Cava. You can either choose one of their signature bowls. Or you can make your own. This is a good concept for the pickier eaters in your life since they can control what goes into the bowls. Nothing will go into the bowl that they don't like if they don't want it. I got the Sedona Lime Bowl which was so good. Though only giving one sauce to cover the entire bowl, I think maybe two would do the trick. Some people don't want to pay extra for an extra sauce. Overall, this was a good spot to check out. They had a good selection. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Wow! And I mean WOW! I ordered this on a whim, I did a build my own steak bowl. I love the healthy options and how fresh everything was! The turmeric ponzu sauce was so so good. Not too overpowering and so clean tasting. I highly recommend trying here, it was super quick and easy. I will be ordering from here again!

I didn't realize that they had a location here. I've actually never been to Mueller which is interesting since I was born and raised in Austin lol but picking up my to go order was easy. The restaurant looks clean and cute. I got four bowls, an almond butter cookie, and the ginger limeade. All were really good. The drink could use a bit more ginger though. Tasted like just straight up limeade. But I really enjoyed my experience. *updated to a 5 after trying the almond butter cookie*

This is a great location with great service, which was likely shocking because they only recently opened. The space is clean and large, and they even have an outdoor area for children. Parking is not as easy as some of the other locations because it's paid street parking or parking garage. The food was very fresh and quick.

In town for the Final Four staying nearby at Origin Hotel and stumbled onto this gem of a restaurant. Had the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl and it was banging! Wish we had something like this in Greensboro,NC where we are from!

Always good fresh food in a sunny ambience. Quick service too - cafeteria style. Recommend it highly.

My review is not for the food (which is good), it's for the service. I've ben there several times now, and each time am rushed through the line like they've got something better to do. Heaven forbid I want to add an extra item to the bowl. Yes I realize it will cost more but please don't act like it's inconveniencing you.

Absolutely love this new addition to the Mueller neighborhood! The food is super fresh and they use clean and healthy ingredients, so you feel great after eating here. The staff are very friendly and kind. The restaurant is very clean and cute + they play great music, so the ambiance is welcoming. I like to build my own bowl and also enjoy the sipping broths. The food is a good value for what you get! Great lunch spot or for a casual dinner.
