Whatever dishes we tried all are good and tasty, paneer chilli was a bit oily, staff was good, service was great but they have sunset direction and almost all evening sunlight was bothering most of the people and they had no curtains working.

Had a wonderful experience at Honest Restaurant in Artesia. The staff were polite, attentive, and quick to take care of our needs without being intrusive. We ordered the dosa, and it was one of the best we’ve had in the area—crispy on the outside, soft inside, and served with flavorful chutneys and piping hot sambhar. The service made the experience even better, as the team ensured our table was always clean and we were never kept waiting. Whether you’re dining in or doing a quick takeaway, their service and food quality make it worth every visit. Karari Rumali Roti Was awesome and also south indian was good. We'll definitely visit it again.

The Chinese cuisine at Honest Artesia is a delightful fusion of Indian and Asian flavors. Dishes like Hakka Noodles, Manchurian, and Fried Rice are well-seasoned, spicy, and full of bold, tangy notes that Indian-Chinese food lovers crave. The portions are generous, and the food is always served hot and fresh. The Manchurian is crispy outside, soft inside, and pairs perfectly with the flavorful noodles. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for casual dining with friends or family. Honest Artesia brings street-style Indo-Chinese to the table with consistency and taste. A great choice for a flavorful, satisfying meal!

The Bhaji Pav at Honest Artesia is a true taste of Mumbai street food done right. The bhaji is rich, spicy, and bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly balanced with butter-toasted pav that’s soft yet crispy. Every bite brings comfort and nostalgia, reminding you of classic Indian food stalls. The portion is generous and served piping hot with onions and a slice of lime for that extra zing. The ambiance at Honest Artesia is clean and casual, making it a great spot for families and food lovers alike. If you're craving real Indian street food, this dish is a must-try!

I liked the food and service here. The was really good, service was very fast. We had pav bhaji, veggie aloo sandwich and fried rice and Masala chai and masala soda. Everything was so good.Ambiance is oky but it can compromise over good food and fast service. Definitely recommend for decent food. Wanna come again and try more.

I’m a semi professional driver I ordered my food from DoorDash I paid 21$ for Triple Schezwan fried rice and I get this 5 or 6 spoon of rice not even half filled my container was almost 75% empty I don’t know whether it’s a mistake from chef or something else but I was really disappointed because I paid a lot for this order 😞😞

Google
Honest is a great spot for pure vegetarian food lovers. The moment you walk in, the place welcomes you with a clean, bright, and family-friendly atmosphere. The interiors are simple but nicely maintained, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a relaxed meal. It's refreshing to find a place that sticks to pure veg options while offering a wide variety of dishes. Whether you're there for a quick lunch or a casual dinner, the ambience definitely adds to the overall dining experience. Highly recommended for vegetarians looking for comfort and quality in one place. Bahubali sandwich is a must try. We'll definitely visit it again.

I had a big Masala Dosa, tasty and reasonable price!

Yelp
This is a review for take out only. Went to pick up a grilled vegetable sandwich with cheese for a quick bite right as they were opening the restaurant. Place looked clean, and the service was quick. The sandwich was pretty good. Simple ingredients made into a modest sandwich. I liked it.

Yelp
This location can be a hit or miss. Honest is known for their pav bhaji and this time it was terrible. Tasted nothing like the authentic honest. Dabeli was very good. I also tried their kaju butter masala and cheese kofta.. they were very oily but taste was decent. They need to do a better job with cleanliness of the restaurant.
google avatar

Nidhi P.

Yelp
Hadn't gone to this place in a year since we had a bad experience last time. Food wasn't great. But this time they really stepped it up. Each dish was flavorful. Cheese pau bhaji, kaju curry, mysore masala dosa, Chinese bhel was the best ! I was just curious as to service charge is already on the bill if they make us order through qr code ... there is no service to be charging that but anyway.

Yelp
Had a lovely afternoon lunch with two friends on a Saturday. We had the sandwiches, panipuri, and pizza. Everything we had was delicious and full of flavor. I was completely satisfied with the entire meal. The sandwich was filling. I would 100% recommend this place for vegetarian eaters. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant itself is located in the corner. Parking can be challenging, but it is worth it if you get a spot.

Yelp
Service is bad. Need to push to get what you want. Food overall below par. Cake pastries are stale. Don't go for hype.

Yelp
Honest franchise should take the name away, horrible service. Full of attitude of working just order from barcode. After that no service but they will charge 18% for tip. Food taste is not the same at all, food portions are going small and very small. Price are increasing. Disappointing is small word for this place and specially from Anand this is very disappointing to see my favorite restaurant going this bad.

Yelp
When we talk about lack of professionalism this place is a perfect example!! Upon walking in we were seated immediately but it took them 15 mins to take our order despite the place being empty. We waited patiently but 2 of the hosts were too busy playing highschool flirting game and finally I had to call one of them over to take the order. To be frank I lost my appetite due to their hospitality but we ordered 2 plates of chole bhature. The food was mediocre nothing compared to the honest restaurant here in NYC I guess the quality varies per location. Not very thrilled with this place at all and do not recommend it. Giving it 2 stars simply because the gentleman who gave us the check was polite and apologetic.

Varun S.

Yelp
Food great, service was nice too. Ambiance is just like any other Indian restaurant.
google avatar

Anirudh R.

Yelp
It used to be good but the quality has definitely gone down. We ordered a couple of chaat times that were okay, but the paneer 65 is definitely not what we expected. It's not coated in batter and fried with the right spices. It was an oily indochinese mess that did not taste good.

Kamakshi A.

Yelp
Please be careful about online orders, got scammed in this website, money was collected and order never came to this restaurant. Tried my best to explain via email and in person but no one cares, hence beware before placing your order. Try to do in person or through phone website is not safe!

Parinita S.

Yelp
This place comes close to Mumbai vada pav & sandwiches. Love their vada pav, bahubali sandwich, garlic noodles, crispy baby corn. The service is fast & food.

Yelp
After driving by so many times we finally got to come check this place out. We got excited and ordered a lot of food for 2, but we liked everything we got. We tried the dahi Puri, baahubali sandwich, masala fries and paneer 65. We loved everything but the baahubali sandwich was my favorite. We probably could have just done the dahi Puri and sandwich for 2. The portions are big so the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I tried this place based off of a friends recommendation. She's been here a handful of times so she knew what to order. We came right before closing on a week day and we were seated right away. All of the items were super flavorful. The four layered sandwich was huge, as expected, but a little too much bread for me. The Indian style pizza was very unique. I would definitely come back to try different items. Especially samosas!
google avatar

Abhishek G.

Yelp
I have tried most of the Indian restaurants in LA area and this by far is the worst I have ever been to! Like I can't explain how bad the food was. They butcher Indian food like anything even after pricing is crazy high. We ordered paneer 65 , speical pav bhaji, cheese pulav . Paneer 65 was more like fried paneer on a bed of chill oil, sour cubes of paneer , overflowing oil. Nothing close to authentic of indo chinese. Pav bhaji is a joke here , bhaji was screaming diarrhea. It was so watery and unauthetic , the only special was the worn out cashews on top which I dont know how it is an add on. Chese pulav had a smell, it tasted stale , was served cold and had no taste Whatsoever. I wish they would stop fooling people . I dont know why places like this even exist. If you are taking the money, make good food. Cant understand the disconnect. Never coming back and dont recommend at all.

Yelp
Honest is really famous in Ahmedabad, Gujarat where it originated. Each Honest is a franchise so chances that they will be consistent is very rare. We had these at Artesia Honest and I truly recommend it: 1. Dabang Dosa 2. Veg Kolhapuri and Chapati 3. Saffron Lassi Not recommended surprisingly when we went: 1. Pav Bhaji ( Really shocking it was very sour and cold) 2. Lime Soda with Masala (Its ok) 3. Vada Pav ( Vada is very very small no clue why)

Yelp
Mind blowing food!!! This is the second time we visited Honest after our long day at Disney. Exhausted and tired, OMG, their food brought back the life in all of us. Trust me, I am saying the food tasted like heaven not just because we were tired. The food was literally the best Indian food you can find in LA. The spices and the amount of flavors was perfection to the dot. We ordered below food items, each one of them were finger licking delicious. Cheese Pav Bhaji: that cheesy bowl of bhaji, is outstanding! That's our absolute favorite from day one. Cauliflower Manchurian- the wok on that dry cauliflower fried with masalas was yum (kisses to the dish). Sev puri- it was crispy and decent plate of sev puri. Raj kachori - It was good. Loved the freshly fried, crispy balls filled with chickpeas and veggies. Triple Schezwan Rice - Loved the spice and hot rice with noddles, with the hot sauce to garnish. Must try! If you haven't visited this place, you are missing out. Price wise it would be medium

Yelp
It's interesting how polarizing the reviews are for this place. Not a lot of ratings in-between the extremes and it seems that my review will be one of those rare ones. Our experience was fairly positive. There was a bit of a crowd near the doors as we approached the restaurant. The hostess had us wait a few minutes after we asked to dine in for lunch. Our waiter wasn't the friendliest but not off-putting either. Just straight up doing his job which was fine by me. And he could confirm which menu items were vegan when I asked. The menu has an Indo Chinese section which is pretty cool. We ordered the Vegetable Chili Garlic Noodleswhich smelled soooooo good when they brought it to our table. Very flavorful too! https://bit.ly/3v6vp9y The Spring Dosa was tasty as well which came with delicious sambhar, tomato chutney, and coconut chutney. https://bit.ly/3on4Hp4 We also enjoyed the Vegetable Pakora. Though I haven't had a pakora that I didn't like. https://bit.ly/3ROBvoJ When it got close to the end of our meal, an older man came to check in on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. He was much friendlier than the waiter that we had so it was nice to end our experience on a nicer note. Would I eat here again? Probably. Admittedly, I'm not rushing to go back since I could likely find an equally good dosa and pakora at places closer to me. However, those noodles were pretty memorable which is what bumped up what would've been a 3-star review to 4-stars for me.

Yelp
A friend took us here for dinner and ordered for us. They have authentic vegetarian Indian food. Our friend ordered samosas, vegetable cheese sandwich, Indian pizza, Manchurian balls and Bhaji Pav. I think my favorite dish was the Bhaji Pav because I just loved the warm butter bread dipped into the vegetable curry. My boyfriend also got a mango lassi to drink that was thick, yet refreshing. I really helped calm the spices from dishes like the Manchurian balls. I also liked the cheese sandwich, there was a lot of cheese but it was light and tasty. The Indian pizza was also a very interesting dish and was unlike anything I've had before. We had a great dinner here and the service was great.

Yelp
Have walked past this place many times but never stopped inside. Decided to try it but in retrospect we should have kept walking like usual. We were seated instantly but were not offered/served water, or given utensils and napkins (they were not visible so we could not get them ourselves). We asked for these, as well as some extra plates twice, but did not get them. There didn't seem to be a dedicated server for our table, since the person who took our order did not come back to check on us. They were about 75% full but still not a reason for the service to be as bad as it was. Our food was subpar. We asked for a side of dahi (yogurt) with our sev puri bc they didn't have a dahi sev puri option, but this did not come with the order. The sev puri was a mount of potato on a flat wafer that is impossible to eat in one bite, even though it is supposed to be a bite-size thing. The raj kachori was okay, but not up to the standard of khasta kachori we've had elsewhere on Pioneer Blvd. We also never got the mango lassi that we ordered.
google avatar

Anand V.

Yelp
Overpriced and mediocre food, their quantities are not enough for even one person. They don't care what they put in front of the customers anymore and it shows.

Kin S.

Yelp
I wish I could give them a zero star. I understand that food prices and everything else is going up but this is unacceptable especially when you charge $12+ tax for pav bhaji. The cups were barely 3/4 full on both orders. We will not be returning there again.
google avatar

Sudipto G.

Yelp
Went after 6 months and was surprised to notice the rapid downfall in food quality & taste, it was really bad. Pav Bhaji, Sandwich, Pulao we're show stoppers but now they are oily and tasteless. Felt really bad :( It's a rapid downfall of a great brand in LA.
google avatar

Riddhi P.

Yelp
Being an Amdavadi, I love the Honest Pav Bhaji back home. I love the Honest in Jersey City, New Jersey as well. So of course, I had to give this one a try! Honest is renowned for its Pav bhaji and Pulao. However, the Pav bhaji does not live up to the original standards. The Pulao is great - really flavourful! We frequent here several times, but not for the Pav bhaji. Our absolute favourites are; Baahubali sandwich Cheese sev puri Bhakri Pizza The portion size is huge and the flavours are authentic! If you're going here, skip the Pav bhaji and try the above. The staff is warm and welcoming and the service is great!

Vyomesh D.

Yelp
Very. Ice food. Ambiance is also very good. I had punjabi as take away and the food quality is very good. I also had Masala Dosa and it was excellent. The services were very good. .

Yelp
Came here for Christmas and left a little disappointed. We got to dinner around 7:30 PM & got seated right away which is good, but oh my, service was so slow! We tried to get a hold of the servers, but it was impossible to get their attention, and it wasn't that busy to be honest. When we were done with the food, it started to get SUPER busy. I feel like they are very understaffed, which is understandable. Now moving onto the food, everything was very mediocre. Nothing really stood out for me. We got four items and total was around $50. Not bad, but not worth it since the food was not that great. I would definitely check other places around Artesia.
google avatar

Sue P.

Yelp
Food is good, however you have changed your portion size. I just ordered noodles and paid $15 .This is half the portion you use to serve. I tried calling the restaurant but no one answers goes to answering machine. Definitely not worth $15.

Niyati B.

Yelp
Quality has degraded, not as good as before. Dont order takeout. These guys try to save money by not packing ingredients separately ( eg. dahi puri , raj kachori, ) and put the blame on you saying "you should have told us while ordering" . Like isn't it common sense to separate semi -solid ingredients ?
google avatar

Maribel O.

Yelp
An all vegetarian restaurant with a variety of dishes. There's a different dish for every mood. Our favorite is the pav bhaji and the vada pab. From the noodles menu, we like the Hakka noodles. During our last visit we tried the Chinese bhel which wasn't as delicious as we thought would be but it still had a good taste. This Chinese bhel dish had a good flavor, spicy and had some chopped vegetables. If you are in the mood for some dryish crispy noodles this would be your plate but if you're craving something more on the gravy side, definitely go for the Hakka noodles!
google avatar

Deepthi K.

Yelp
Stopped by in a whim one Sunday afternoon. We ordered the triple Schezwan rice and the Chole Batura. We enjoyed both. Service was prompt and staff were friendly.

Leonhart L.

Yelp
Honestly, this was the best lassi and pav bhaji I've had! Great service and food. Whenever I'm in the area I'll make sure to stop by again
google avatar

Prajna P.

Yelp
Love this spot. The flavors are amazing. I've visited a lot of the Indian restaurants in this area and this one definitely stands out. Our server both times were so friendly and they do everything they can to accommodate you. We ordered a lot of dishes and appetizers. The dish sizes are definitely shareable so no need to order multiples. The dry fruit falooda was my favorite. I loved every dish we ordered so there's no going wrong in my opinion.
google avatar

Annie J.

Yelp
I'm honestly puzzled by the bad reviews - this is a pretty decent spot. We went on a Saturday night and had to wait about 30 minutes for a party of 8. They were able to squeeze us in with two extra chairs, which worked out just fine for our family. Service was pretty speedy after we ordered - they were pretty busy, so the waiter forgot one of our items but did bring it out quickly after we reminded him. What we ordered: * Vada Pav - these were really tasty! * Pav Bhaji - pretty decent - though we liked the vada pav more * Gravy Manchurian - solid * Chili garlic noodles - tasty, but slightly too spicy. I think they would have been palatable if they were a bit less spicy. * Baahubali sandwich - A mistake to order since we had so many other punchy items. I thought it was okay, but didn't live up to its name, so would skip it next time. * Masala dosa - could have been a bad night, but I think it was lacking in flavor compared to some of the other items. I'd stick to snack foods and Indo-Chinese. All around a solid spot for vegetarian food - and I think many folks agree, seeing as it is often crowded. I'd come back!
google avatar

Atul G.

Yelp
Poor quality food we ordered Channa puri . Puri was full of oil . This is second plate after asking the server. Owner lame response (can't do anything this time ) will take care from next time Such a poor service

Yash K.

Yelp
Food tastes really bad. We got the sandwiches and the pizza and it just all tasted like store bought products opened and put together and microwaved

Krutika C.

Yelp
We went for my daughters birthday dinner. So you can understand the amount of food we ordered. We just ordered poori for my girl. We told the guy managing the place that it's not a good one. The poori broke while frying and there is so much oil inside. The guy responds - that's how poori is . I can't change it. Sometimes I wonder what happened to customer service ? When we are billing you $$$, why to fuss about one single poori and be so rude?
google avatar

JP S.

Yelp
This location of Honest relies on the strong reputation and brand the company has around the world. Sadly the name is the only thing consistent because everything else at this location is subpar. The food and service was awful. The food was either undercooked or made incorrectly. When we asked the waitress to remake what they made incorrectly she started arguing with us. Eventually she had the kitchen make it again but the food was not cooked thoroughly. Again they refused to fix the issue so we ended up paying and leaving. There are so many great options for food in the area. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere where they respect their customers and make quality food.
google avatar

Bhumika K.

Yelp
It's ok. Service is ok, food is mediocre at best. Truly everything was so sweet and felt stale. We ordered: -dahi puri -Chinese bhel -grilled veg sandwich

Yelp
Such great food and wonderful service. The interior is beautiful. Great calming environment. Couldn't take a photo in time before we inhaled the food

Amy A.

Yelp
Went here with my family- must say food is getting much better than before but their service is very poor . I ordered Ferrero rocher milkshake (like always) and this time they gave me HALF GLASS of milkshake with other half glass filled with whipped cream. And there was no lid at all. It wasn't overflowing or anything. Not just that it was super thin and watered down. Did not taste like Ferrero rocher shake . When I spoke to the person taking orders- he said how is this a ripoff??. He asked me what do I want to do with that? M like ...WTH . He told me that that's how it's supposed to be. He said if he put it in the glass cup/glass even then it would come out full glass. So according to him half a glass of plastic cup was equivalent to full glass desert cup.. . And then he went to speak to his "management" and told me to cancel the order. But it was too late Bcoz I had already made the payment by then . This milkshake was $8.99 I feel that's a lot for milkshake but it's even more expensive for half a cup of milkshake. That's ridiculous. I understand that the inflation is kicking in but if I am paying whatever price is listed on the menu - I feel I should be given proper quality too. Very disappointed.
google avatar

Don C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the meal here. Brought my grandma and we ordered the Chili Garlic Noodles, Honest Biryani and Garlic Naan. Everything was delicious! The host was kind and the food had excellent flavor and perfect heat I've been to a few states around India and I will say their food tastes authentic to my time spent there. Great value, will come back again!

Manisha P.

Yelp
Horrible Horrible Horrible This restaurant and the people work here are awful. I ordered veggie biryani for my daughter's birthday party and They messed up really bad . It was smelling. Bad. It was expensive. I got embarrassed in front of my guests and hot hard time to manage the party. When I approached them with the issue, they didn't refund and insulted that's another thing. I just hate this place. No more from me and my friends & family I wish I could do something more to teach them a lesson
google avatar

Ty W.

Yelp
Went here last night during the International Festival in Artesia. The place was very busy and every patron are Indian or look South Asian except me ....so that's a good sign. They have 3 combo options at $10.99 so it's reasonable price although the quantity is just ok, not that much. All dishes are vegetarian and I ordered the combo with butter naan , spicy rice and tikka masala The tikka masala was good but the portion is Berle little. They have me 4 pieces of butter naan and I thought it was just average. The rice was good and had a good kick to it but it was cold and not hot so it was already premade. This is not really a situation down restaurant with service. They have waiters but you order and pay by the register then they seat you. The food is also serve in styrofoam plates and plastic forks. They have hand sanitizers at every table so that's an added plus

Karuna T.

Yelp
It was pretty bad food besides the aloo paratha. The dosa was not great. Chaat was very soggy.Customer service was terrible, server was disinterested and was practically sleeping. Tried to wash my hands in a bathroom that an employee came out of, it said "do not use" when I opened the door he yelled "it says do not use, can you not read?" I told him that he should not treat a customer like that and asked why I should come back, he told me I did not have to... Ambience was also terrible.

Yelp
We were in Artesia to pick up food from Surati Farsan Mart and I saw Honest in the corner and I just HAD to eat here as it reminded me of some good times back at home. Nostalgia hit me when I saw the menu and wanted to order a lot of items. I settled for cheese bhel and baahubali sandwich. Ordered Pav Bhaji and Pulao to go, because you cannot go to Honest and not have Pav Bhaji. The cheese bhel came in a huge bowl with a heap of cheese and looked super yummy. The table behind us stopped the server to ask what I had ordered and even came over to ask me how was it!!! It was great. It needed some more sweet chutney and it was an easy fix, but the garlicky cheesy flavor was so good!! The sandwich was Ok. Not the best I have had, but again huge portions and good enough. We had Pav bhaji for dinner and it was good. The taste is not same as India but I did not expect the same flavors here. Pulao was good too. I wish I had tried the pizza here! Oh well, some other day when I am in LA or maybe they will open a branch in Bay Area soon!

Honestartesia A.

Yelp
I placed a food order on 1/1/2023 at 8:51 pm for 4 Rotis, 1 kadai paneer, and 2 Szechwan fried rice. The food was extremely terrible to taste and the curry was filled with oil. I called in at 11:03 am on 1/2/23 if they could redo or refund. The person in the photo (Pratik) stated they don't do any refund or help if the food is bad. So I went in to see if I could talk with the manager and Viraj Jain (manager) wasn't in the store, so I asked to call him. Over the phone call, he mentioned they don't recook orders if it tastes bad. I stated it was unethical to be in the hospitality industry then. He went on to say F*** Off and do want I want to do and won't recook or refund. The image of the bruise on my left arm is from the employee in the review. He grabbed me hard when I approached to take his photo. I had the cops called in. Please do not visit restaurants and unsafe for the community.

Ann R.

Yelp
We had a great experience here and am puzzled by the bad reviews. The food was delicious and the service was quick.

Nicky S.

Yelp
Great for chaat Got Bhahubali sandwich - really good Stay away from idly sambas, was not soft

Chris S.

Yelp
If you like Indian vegetarian food, mainly fast food, then this is a good place to eat. I can not eat spicy food, but I can handle it here. I had some Dora's and A Pav Bhaji another time. Both turned out very tasty. I recommend it. They need to make the restroom more hygienic. Service was good. The order came quickly.

Yelp
Have tried their New Jersey location before and so decided to give this location a try for dinner tonight. We got a bunch of different things. We got pav bhaji, vegetable cheese grill sandwich, bhakri pizza, bahubali sandwich, watermelon juice and masala chai. All of the food was good. My personal favorite was the bhakri pizza and bahubali sandwich. Service is extremely slow at this place. I think they need some more wait staff for sure, considering that things are starting to pick up now. Overall the experience was good. Food was yummy for sure!!
