Heaven of macaroons! Macaroons are extremely delicious and the store itself is super cute. You don’t want to leave the shop. It is quite pricey but good macaroon is pricey everywhere. Highly recommend!

These macarons were delicious! Unfortunately, I forgot to take more photos cause we were rushed on time, but it was a super cute shop. Located within the Spectrum Mall, it's definitely worth visiting for a quick treat. There was a good range of flavors to choose from and some cute merch as well. We only picked out one each, but looking back I wish I had gotten more to take home. Staff was friendly and enjoyable to talk to. There was only one group in front of us, but I could see this place getting busy at peak times. Worth the wait though. Super yummy! Highly recommend!

The macarons were fine. The line was quite long. They didn’t have all the choices for us in the morning which was disappointing. The staff was fine but they seemed busy. Probably the store was understaffed as well.

I was not a macaron person. I never enjoyed them, with the exception of a home baker I knew who made them but hers never looked right, despite tasting good. I've literally had them shipped from Paris, France and did not like them. Ever since discovering Honey & Butter five years back, I will not buy macarons anywhere else. I live almost an hour away, so it is quite a drive for me but they're worth it. The size, the feet, the texture, the flavors and the sugar levels are perfect. I cannot praise them enough. I've been to several different locations before they were closed down, save this last one. It's located at the Irvine Spectrum, really close to Nordstrom's, so that's where you should park. Parking has always been really easy for me to find. Then it's a short walk from there to the shop. Sometimes there's a line, sometimes there isn't. Even with a line, it moves very quickly. Each time I go there, I am purchasing anywhere between 8-11 dozen macarons because I give them away and am also purchasing for friends who place their orders for me to pick up for them. To make it easy for both the employees and myself, I grab a bunch of the paper flavor menus and will mark those up for each order that I have with people's names on them. Then I get in line, hand my sheets over to the cashier and they proceed to put my order together and tuck each menu into the box so I know which is which. It's a pretty good system I've worked out with them. It makes ordering clear and precise and I've never had a mix-up with my orders. A couple friends are gluten-free, which makes H&B macarons perfect treats for them. The employees are SO CAREFUL when I tell them which orders need to be gluten-free. They make sure to do those orders first and will change their gloves out between the orders as well. Since they know my drive is so long, they'll thoughtfully bag up my orders with ice packs. Everything about the shop from cute decor to the super creative flavors to the extremely kind, patient and thoughtful employees has me coming back time and again. I love everything about Honey & Butter!

so many delicious flavors! the designs are so cute, too. when i went here, they had eevee evolution macarons. i loved the tsum-tsum themed decor (and their corgi).

All the flavors I got were so yummy! This is my favorite spot to get macarons. Cookie/biscuit were crispy yet chewy. Fillings were super buttery and flavorful while not being too overly sweet. Can't wait to come back to the irvine spectrum just so I can get more treats!

Cute cute cute shop! I was hesitant because sometimes cute shops don’t have the best tasting food nor desserts but I’m so glad I didn’t skip them. Not your traditional macarons, as they don’t taste, nor have the macaron textures like the Pierre Hermes and Laudurees of the macaron world. But it’s not necessarily a bad thing, as they have unique flavors and textures like crème brûlée, brownie, and ube. I hope to try more in the future. They also offer a variety of gluten free macarons and looking to see if we’re affected, but so far so good. 5 stars for the creme brûlée. 💕

The best macaroons I have ever had! We love to try macaroon bakeries and we are glad we tried this cute bakery. The macaron melts in your mouth, each one is flaky and the filling is flavored well, not too sweet. We tried 6 flavors and were content with each one. I wish we had purchased more, my mouth is watering as we speak. I will be back for sure! Oh and they are cashless.

These are hands down the best macaroons money can buy. Whether they're for personal consumption, to satisfy my girlfriend's craving, or for gifting to friends, you can't go wrong with Honey & Butter. Located in the Irvine Spectrum is a spot that focuses on high quality standards and exceptional customer service. Their macarons are huge and the quality of ingredients shine in every bite. The cool thing is that they'll rotate their flavors on a weekly basis. Be sure to check Instagram to see what they have in their inventory for the week.

My go to place for whenever i'm craving macarons! I've been coming here since they first opened. Their macarons are always consistent and yummy. No other macarons can compare to Honey & Butter! They have really cute interior and cute packaging as well. Would highly recommend!

We had a dozen box with: Oreo Stracciatella Nutella Hazelnut Espresso Enchanted Berries Crème Brulee Fruity Pebbles Taro Sticky Rice Passion Fruit Smores Five stars for the amazing and friendly service. They keep the line moving quickly. The macarons come in very cute packaging. Everything tastes great. Crispy on the outside, chewy inside with generous filling. The flavor is unique to each macaron instead of everything tasting the same. They're not too sweet and maintain their freshness in the fridge.

Review 96/365 Day Challenge This is a long and awaited review that needs to be done! My gosh...after having these scrumptious Honey & Butter Macarons...my gosh it's like each bite is Heaven!!! Finally took my middle son here for his Birthday Month on 09.27.25 When he 1st had these scrumptious was in Spring of this year along during the holidays last year. He's been talking about it since and keeps asking when are we gonna get more macarons cookies from Honey & Butter. It's that's delicious. Love how they have weekly different flavors of macarons. Been following them on Instagram and they usually post their flavors of the week, they offer unique flavors too. Recommended ~ Milk & Honey is an original and so darn scrumptious. My son's fav flavor of all time. Tastes just like the name of the flavor. ~ Creme Brulee is always a fan favorite especially in our house hold. So yummy n the caramelized top is so yum along w the filling. Perfection. Their macarons are a great big size, really fluffy cookies and their filling isn't overly sweet. I've had their macarons a few days later and it's still as yummy as the fresh ones. Kept in fridge to keep it moist and bring it out an hour before devouring it, so it can be room temperature. The shop is so darn cute w 2 swings for cute Photos & their wall art is amazingly done. Definitely a great photo op place. Their packaging boxes when you buy 6 is really cute and makes great sweet treat gifts. Located in Irvine Spectrum outdoor shopping center that we frequently visit. We don't often go to Irvine much.

This place is seriously the cutest little bakery!! I remember seeing them go viral when they first opened and for some reason I never made it here to try their macarons. Boy was that a mistake! These are truly THE most delicious macarons I've ever had. And now I know why they went viral and survived until now!! The cookie is super light and has a nice airy texture, and the fillings are to die for! Definitely not too sweet, with a whipped buttery texture that you'll dream about. The packaging is so so cute and the staff are super kind, patient, and helpful as well! Plus they have these cute little character macarons that are just so adorable. My 3 yo is obsessed!

Just overall solid but not much of a smoked flavor that I was hoping for that might take it to the next level. - Salted Caramel (4/5): Overly sweet which I should've known since it's caramel but that's on me. Overall good texture. - Matcha (5/5): Wow, what great matcha taste that came out. The center is just a LITTLE bit more powdery than the rest so that might be from the use of the matcha powder to give it that strong taste but did not come off as fishy as some poorer quality matcha might. - Pistachio (5/5): Classic and very strong flavor profile. - French Toast (5/5): Tasted just like french toast! And the little french toasts on it are so cute! - Fruity Pebbles (5/5): Tasted just like fruity pebbles! Reminds me of my childhood when I used to have the cereal. OVERVIEW: (5/5) - Honestly thought this place might've been overhyped but it was not! It definitely met the expectations and was better than I expected. I would come back again soon since they now have a Pandan Coconut flavor for September!

The service is always on point. I was at the spectrum today and I had a very large dinner but that could not stop me from getting macarons. I exercised restraint and only got 6. My favorite will always be the Fruity Pebbles macaron but I look forward to the special featured flavors. Today I also got yuzu and Oreo.

Honey & butter is one of my favorite macaron spots! Whenever I visit OC, I try to stop by before heading home. The shop is so adorable, and while the like can get long, it always moves quickly. The staff is so friendly, which makes the visit better. They switch out their flavors every week, which is exciting. But, also a little risky for me if the week's selection isn't quite my favorite. Last time before I visited, I emailed to see if they take flavor requests, and they said they'd consider it, which was so nice. I tried milk & honey, oreo, fruity pebbles, birthday cake, sea salt dark chocolate, hojicha milk tea, and strawberries & cream! The texture and flavors are consistently yummy, and I love that they're not overly sweet. Their packaging is also super cute. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in oc.

Ended up in the Irvine spectrum plaza with a friend today and stopped by Honey and Butter Macarons to satisfy a sweet tooth. Picked up a couple of macarons including the Passion fruit Yuzu, Pistachio, Oreo and Brown Sugar milk tea. Tried the passion fruit and pistachio macarons so far and the passion fruit was the standout of the two. Tart but not too tart with yuzu shining through the passion fruit. Was a refreshing macaron if that can be said. The pistachio was a denser flavor and a bit too sweet for my liking, but still good. Still have the other two to eat. Overall one of the better macarons that I have tried so far.

This place is lovely, they constantly have rotating flavors today when I stopped in they had 2 of my favorite flavors the pistachio and the fruity pebbles and I also tried the creme brulee for the first time it was divine the crunchy sugary top was yummy these are always the best macarons you have to stop in next time your at the Irvine spectrum!

Honey&Butter makes the best macarons. My favorite are the milk&honey. Its soft and not to sweet. The decorations inside there is super cute. I got 6 of the macarons which came out to be $22.50. Pricey but worth it! I got the creme brûlée. Milk & honey, and the taro sticky rice. All were good!

Wow !! Daughter highly recommended this place and didn't disappoint!!! Macarons were bigger than I expected! Bought a dozen of them 6 for me and 6 for my daughter! Honey & Butter has always been a favorite! Their macarons are all fresh and flavorful. I also love the ambiance! This shop is so cute. They have photo ops and really cute bags and boxes for the macarons for sure. I do however miss some of their themed macarons - like Disney, anime, Harry Potter, etc.

So cute and tasty! I got the crème brûlée and the fruity pebble bear! It was very good and also very cute. They gave us really cute packaging for each order :,) Also, the staff was sweet, and the interior of the place was kawaii. A good place for a quick desert.

Service was great and fast. The workers were super friendly. Definitely stop by for some cute photo op with the macarons and cute decorations inside. It was sweet, crisp and the filling was just right. My kids enjoyed it. We tried multiple flavors from Milk & Honey, Fruity Pebbles, and Crème Brûlée. The macarons are a bit pricier than others, but I think because it's in a mall.

Visited with my girls on a Saturday and they had capybara theme, which is all the rage right now. Tried the macarons again and they are just too sweet for me and not really my type of dessert. They are pretty and the shop is nicely decorated. Casual. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Love coming here and grabbing some desserts. They have weekly flavors that get changed out every Thursday and for their size and price it's actually a good deal. Super friendly staff and indoor ambiance screams cuteness! They also have swag here for sale so that's good. They are always busy baking fresh macaroons as the store smells so good and buttery as you enter. I got the enchanted berries and milk and honey. Delicious. My kiddos got the Oreo and crème brûlée. Definitely come back again soon!

Very cute dessert place. If you like macaroons, you'll probably like it. They have a lot of flavors to choose from. I had the pistachio and crème brûlée and they both had good flavor, just a bit too sweet for me. If you have kids, they'll enjoy visiting this store. Not just for a quick treat but also all the decorations. Adorable.

I used to come here all the time when I lived in Irvine, and the place really hasn't changed much since. I guess the only real change is now the store is about 1/2 the size I remember it to be, as a portion of the store is now sectioned off. The flavors and the macarons are still as I remember them, tasty with the unique flavors! The macarons are crisp and soft, the filling, of course, isn't too sweet and perfectly brings out the flavor of the flavor of macaron without tasting artificial. I also love how they still do the cute boxes, but definitely a lot pricier than I remember them to be. I love most of their macarons, but my favorites are the espresso, enchanted berries, honey lavender, matcha, and nutella hazelnut (but also subject to change since well, they are all just so good). I always do try to get their new seasonal flavors when I can since they usually never disappoint!

Super cute store. These macaroons were really good. We loved the strawberry one. The Oreo was a fun one to try. Honey and butter was good, but liked the strawberry better than both of those. We also got mango and sticky rice and Nutella. The Nutella tastes exactly like the Italian candy Baci. It has a great Nutella flavor. We felt like Honey and Butter Macarons are definitely worth a try.

followed up on their instagram to check on the flavor changes and was so excited that salted caramel was back! my favorite flavor! the workers are always so nice and helpful~ always a fun vibe in there and simple to order. i don't go to irvine all that often besides occasionally for work, so i def take advantage of that and go to irvine spectrum after just for honey & butter :) prices are great for the size of macaron! and there's always such fun ones compared to most other places. def recommend~

Talking about stepping into another dimension ............... It was like walking into a store in an animation town: I was on happiness overload. My store pics don't do justice to the vibrant colors. Naively, I didn't realize there were so many different types of macarons. And more sadly, I didn't realize how good a macaron could be. As you can see from my pic we had just two: Oreo and Crème Brulee. But I don't think you could go wrong with any other selection. As you can see from my pic, they are relatively small - no super-size ones in the case. But they were super-sized in overall yum. These were mildly crunchy on the outside and yet still soft and moist on the inside. They were sweet without being sickeningly sweet. These were a nice pick-me-up between shopping stops.

Honey and Butter is a classic macaron shop you need to visit whenever you're at Irvine Spectrum. They aren't cheap, but they're not simple to make either, so I always think it's worth the price. I tend to buy a dozen because they look much cuter in the box that way, but I believe you can order them in a six pack or just by the piece. They also have a few specialty ones like characters as well. I also like that they have a cute little photo op in the store along with merchandise both for them and some other anime related things! Overall, a great stop if you're in the area. (2/50--2025)

My friend is obsessed with this place and I finally sampled a bunch. Their weekly menu looked really good and for $3 you get a large, especially delicious and well made sweet treat. Service was awesome, the staff recommended us their favorites and we were not disappointed. They wear really cute hats too. The store is really brightly decorated and gives a fun cheerful atmosphere. Strawberry yuzu: really juicy tasting, I saw little strands of berry preserve when I took a bite. Very sweet and tangy. It's a good one. Lemon meringue: not very sour, had a baked taste I didn't expect, probably from the flambé. Not a standout for me but for those who like lemon meringue it may be your type. Taro Sticky Rice: this flavor blew my and my friends away. In fact, we went across the mall to go buy more right after eating it. The layers of the sticky rice are smooth and have the signature chewy texture, and the taro comes through not only the macaron but in the center filling. It's kind of a work of art. Honey Lavender: really impressively fragrant with lavender. You will not be disappointed in how much flavor this macaron has. It's strong and elegant. Milk and honey: their signature flavor. It's the sweetest one we tasted, and more subtle on the aroma. I love that this store has stayed open (survived the pandemic too!) to provide what may be the best quality, innovative and worth-your-money macarons. I am excited to try more limited special flavors once I am back around!

Original flavors that changes from the usual fares. On the technical aspects of the macaron itself, there is a good textural balance between a crisp shell and the chewy interior. Sign for a properly made one? The little "foot" that indicates the correct dough texture, resting and baking. The filling is generous and I like the balance of macaron to it. I also appreciate that they bring textures into the filling as well, it is interesting and pleasing. A luxurious indulgence.

Located within the trendy Spectrum Shopping Center, this is a creative dessert shop that features a great selection of gourmet macarons! I love the Japanese amine themes for macaroons! They also offer great boba drinks and iced coffees.

I love these macarons!! They are so delicious, moist, and addicting. And they worth the price! I drive 45 minutes away when I'm craving them. My favorite is the pistacioooo!!! The staff are very quick with my order and are very helpful in deciding flavors. And oh my goodness the inside decorations are TOO CUTE! It's so full of color and has places you can snap some pictures of yourself.

Honey & Butter Macarons always hits. They fill their macarons with a large amount of cream and it tastes so good. Each are $3 each which isn't too bad and you can buy just one or a few boxes. Pretty well designed spot and they got a few benches inside to eat. Solid spot in Irvine Spectrum!

Absolutely love their macarons! I tried the Pistachio, Fruity Pebbles, Cookies & Cream, and Milk & Honey flavors. My top picks were definitely Pistachio and Cookies & Cream -- both had amazing flavor. The texture is spot on, and they don't skimp on the filling either, which I really appreciate. It is on the pricier side, but definitely worth it for a sweet treat now and then!

Macarons are super sweet, so not my cup of tea. However, the cafe is very cute and would totally be a destination for the right crowd. This cafe is currently take away only as there are only 2 benches to sit, mostly for taking pictures and not really for sitting inside. Personally I didn't like how much cream was in each macaron (3:1 ratio) or that you only get it in a paper bag unless buying 6 or 12 macarons, and only then will you get a cute box. Granted, it's a striped purple bag, but it's still not cute like the box is and for the price, just not worth it.

This place is a must-stop if you're visiting Irvine Spectrum. You can get a box of 6 to try a variety. Character macarons are also available every now and then if you follow them. The ladies helping us at the counter were super nice and attentive. My friend and I knew what we wanted, but I can hear the other lady helping a new customer with recommendations very sweetly. They noticed we were interested in the cute figures around the store and shared some stories on how they got it too. Very friendly service! If you like anime or anything cute, stop by here and just check out their decor too.

This is probably the most adorable little shop in Spectrum. The swing is great for photo ops. The macarons are also sweet and chewy. Service was friendly as well.

I'm a native San Diegan, but I am always down to drive here for the macarons. They're absolutely delicious and have new flavors regularly. Some fan favorites have been the lemon and Thai tea flavors. I've brought them down to my family on multiple trip occasions just to have them try a flavor i think they'd like. As soon as you walk in, it's like you got punched in the face with Molang or Gudetama (in the best of ways). It's so cute and smells heavenly. The line is generally very fast, and the people are respectful. The decor is very IG worthy for a cute pic. I really can't say enough good things about this place, I love stopping by. They are on the pricey side, but WELL worth it. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by and seeing what flavors they have in season.

I've been wanting to try the cute Honey & Butter Macarons for awhile now, unfortunately they didn't have any cute character macarons when I came but they were still amazing macarons, airy, yet chewy and the fillings were all flavorful and creamy! Liked the crème brûlée, matcha, black sesame, and espresso the most! Hope to come back when they have some character macarons, the staff said they post updates on their website/social media.

Super cute and yummy macaron store in Irvine Spectrum! Nice Instagram-able photo area! Cashiers are really friendly and patient. I ordered the Sea Salted Caramel, Creme Brûlée, and Milk & Honey Macaron. The Creme Brûlée one was $4 while the others were only $3 each. All of them were well balanced and not too sweet. I enjoyed eating all of them. It's a nice sweet treat to have after a meal. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Such a cute little macaron place. It's like crumbl cookies but with macarons. They have new flavors i think every week or so and the flavors were delicious . I love that they give out stickers when you get a dozen of macaroons. My favorite ones are the cookie butter . The service is really nice and helpful. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other flavors they have to offer

I been going here like couple years now it makes me sooooo happy when I get their macarons you must get milk and honey for sure. Service is wonderful every time I go there they dress up so unique and beautiful. Also they give us high quality stickersssss too! I have several of them so cute. When you walk around irvine spectrum mall if you see this location get some :) you won't regret it. It seems milk and honey macarons got thinner than before 2023 as picture, but it's still reasonable price than their hard working to make macarons and taste not changed at all still sooo good :) I always get 4 milk and honey and 2 other different special flavors and eat with black coffee sooo good :) it makes my day whenever i buy these macarons here

My absolute favorite place to get macarons. The flavors are always a mix of traditional and unique flavors. The cookie texture is always crispy on the top and chewy in the center with a creamy filling. If you are lucky enough to go when they have creme brûlée macarons please get it! It's just so good. Tip: a dozen macarons gets you a discount and a star on their rewards.

Cute little macaron shop in the Irvine Spectrum. Picture worthy with cute packaging but thats all. The macarons were overly sweet and you can barely taste the favors. The only one i liked of the 6 I got was the black velvet which had a chocolate cake in between the cookie. Oreo - could not taste the oreo favor Espresso - half and half ok. Can taste a little espresso. I would get this again Chocolate caramel - could not taste the caramel and more cream favor Black velvet - the cake was a little moist and can taste the chocolate favor. I would get again Creme brulee - this was the worst one. Over all a 2.5/5 in my book. Its cute but for me I had better. It just ok

I've always wanted to visit this famous macaron shop in Irvine Spectrum and it didn't disappoint. With macarons, presentation is just as important as taste, and these macarons are pretty. Uniform shells with perfect feet (the "frills" underneath the macaron shell), bright colors, and the perfect thick amount of filling. Taste-wise, they are great too, and not too sweet. The packaging is super cute. A box of 6 costs $19 and would make a great gift because of how photogenic it is (but this time, it was just for us lol). I love the artwork on the box and around the store. Just don't let them get too melty taking your walk around the mall and store in the fridge as soon as you can!

This place has been solid for years! Love that they are creative with their flavors and the macarons are not overly sweet. Price point is fair considering in Irvine. They just refreshed the cute photo wall.

Literally the BEST macarons I have ever experienced! Soft, Silky, Creamy Filling with a Buttery, lightly crispy crunch on the exterior- I am obsessed with the flavors, & specialty creations! Lavender Milk Tea, Smores, Pretzel Pistachio, Oreo, & S'mores are my absolute favorites! This establishment also has the cutest aesthetic featuring kawaii characters & collaborations with artists.

One of my favorite place to get macarons! My favorite of all time is milk and honey which they always have! I also like there luck charms when its in the rotation! Staff are always super friendly and nice and provide great description if the flavors if you are not sure about anything. Such cute store front, the decor feels like a dream.

Macarons are my favorite desserts cause most of them are naturally gluten free. I appreciated that they labeled the very few ones that contained gluten. The allergen labels are great here! There was a short line but it moved fairly fast. I picked a bunch of macarons to take home as desserts. They tasted so yummy and not overly sweet. The prices were very good too. Nutella, Hawaiian mochi and crème brûlée are my favorites! The cat ones are too cute! A fantastic little shop for macaron lovers! Ps. They sanitized pay pad after each customer!
