"Turning 25 now means three things: you can no longer get away with acting like a teenager,The X Factorthinks you’re officially over the hill, and you can finally get into Honey Lou. The owners call the warm light here “sunset orange,” and while we’d say it was more of a red, we agree with them that the bar has a homey feel. Its over 25s policy combined with weekly live jazz nights make Honey Lou a trap for those teetering on the edge of adultlike sophistication. Community is also encouraged, with date nights and their Wednesday social club. At the risk of sounding corny, Honey Lou manages to create a warmth you’ll struggle to find anywhere else in this often-spiritually-and-thermally-cold city." - Olivia Ladanyi
