I’m sure this spot has great books but it’s impossible to know because seats with customers are placed right in front of the bookshelf. I understand they’re trying to make up for limited space but it’s profoundly awkward trying to search for a book, while you’re hovering directly in front of someone. Feels like an invasion of privacy. Otherwise, the coffee was great.

Stopped by Honey Moon on a day off while exploring the neighborhood. Ordered an iced latte and it was excellent—smooth, creamy, and flavorful without any bitterness. The barista was friendly and quick, and the space was calm and quiet. Personally, the vibe felt more like a grab-and-go spot than a place to hang out, but definitely worth it for a well-made coffee.

The latte was really good and rich! The book selection is interesting and there is always something you’ve never seen before. The pastries are delicious, I tried the rosemary biscuit today and it was so good! They will warm it up for you. They also have cute postcards and shirt with a design of the store for sale.

Want to like this place more but been here enough times and my opinion hasn’t really changed. Decent coffee, mid pastries, cool book section! Generally uninviting atmosphere. Better coffee in area for better prices/ambiance

Google
Stopped in to grab a decaf cortado about 30 minutes before closing and was spoken to as if I’d done something wrong. I’ve been to plenty of coffee shops and have never heard of a policy where espresso isn’t served that close to closing time. Not sure if it had anything to do with race, but as a minority, I’ve now had two visits where I was made to feel unwelcome—despite being ready to pay $7 for a drink. Not sure if there’s been a change in management, but I hope to see more consistency and basic courtesy moving forward.

Cute place with surprisingly many tables & good selection of used books. Matcha was solid. Nothing stood out from the service. What more can you ask for? I enjoyed spending my afternoon here, working and browsing the books.

Google
Best coffee shop in NYC hands down. stellar events, amazing staff, delicious drinks & pastries. plus a well stocked library and plenty of well lit space. 10/10

Google
Stopped by Honey Moon Coffee and had an iced oat milk latte with lavender—it was excellent! The vibe there is relaxed but still upbeat, the decor is cool and they play good music. The owners & staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the place feel really inviting. I liked my coffee so much I grabbed a couple bags of beans to take home. If I lived closer, I’d definitely be a regular. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
I wanted to try a new coffee shop this morning and I decided Honey Moon was going to be it. After a commute in gorgeous weather, I was ready for a yummy coffee and pastry combo. I asked the barista what the yummiest coffee was while also specifying that I wanted it black so there was only one option (duh). I paired my drip coffee with a cinnamon cardamom pastry. The coffee was served piping hot, and the pastry was lightly toasted. I after finding a cute nook to sit down in beside what looked like a small library, I started dunking the pastry in coffee to help it cool down. I would HIGHLY recommend trying this, the cardamom aftertaste combined with the coffee and cinnamon was so satisfying. I enjoyed the coffee on my commute back once I was done with the pastry. Solid coffee, solid pastry, solid place, solid service, will def be back

Yelp
Went for a Thursday night evening reading and it's pretty much standing room only for readings. They put a few chairs out for people who needed to sit (but just a few--5 chairs max). My friend and I sat on the floor because we got there early. It was very crowded. This is also a book and record store. They serve coffee and beer and wine and coffeeshop type baked goods. Very hip clientele.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop in Ridgewood. Have a nice seating area in the back. Staff didn't seem super nice or approachable. The woman doing the espresso making was def having a rough day. My girlfriend got the drip coffee and liked it, but it wasn't that great in my opinion. Supposedly had notes of chocolate and cherry. Wasn't really getting that (tasted more bitter/burnt than anything). Cappuccino was great. Really good flavor and would definitely order again Almond milk and oat milk are options

Yelp
Honeymoon Coffee is an anticipated coffee shop in the Ridgewood neighborhood. We all became hugely addicted to the freshly roasted coffee during the dark times. And now this bright ray of sunshine has opened it's doors in the community. There's the tastiest coffee and latte art with delicious pastries to boot. I especially love the collab with local fave cake maker and artist "Bodega Cakes". Stay posted on the Instagram stories for treat updates. This was not the only collab, the shop also has a the Bushwick staple, "Molasses Books" set up at the back of the store. And who can resist local fave record label "Sacred Bones" and all those delicious vinyl tunes. A very dangerous spot for the wallet but it's truly worth it. My boyfriend knows when I need a pick me up or he would like to woo me, he brings me a pipping hot oat latte and maybe a cookie or maybe even a Dead Moon spin off hat. I know, he spoils me. I digress, they also have a selection of beer and wine. And since it's been a warmer week this place is packed to the gills at the outside tables. And I imagine this will be the case for a long time. Congrats on this new neighborhood staple. Our home away from home. This is merely the beginning...

Yelp
Great spot, cool atmosphere, books, records and great people! Seems like a crucial piece of the neighborhood!

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday afternoon to grab coffee with a friend. I had an iced Americano, which was $6 with tip (July '24). Kind of expensive! That being said, the coffee shop/book store has a really cute vibe.

Yelp
great coffee n staff! they make the best iced americano. also love the lil book section in the back

Yelp
I was doing work in the area, asked someone for a decent coffee spot, they recommended this place. Typical hipster cooler then you barista just giving all the attitude you could imagine. Coffee wasn't bad, but I won't be going back.

Harold N.

Yelp
This place has some great coffees and a really good vibe. Easy place to hang out in and feel comfortable. Atmosphere switches to wine and beers around late aftenoon in addition to all the coffees. A bookstore in the coffee shop has a very eclectic selection of books (supplied by MOLASES Books) that take several visits to browse. The background music playing is well chosen and very unique, suited to the place and also very esoteric. It's a very unique, comfortable place with great coffees (and I should mention the amazing pastries!) that feels like your neighborhood hangout. Highly recommended

Yelp
Bad discrimination vibe and behavior I experienced from a couple of your employees yesterday around 12-1pm time, I enjoyed the drink but I had a bad experience. The other employee who is there solo she is very friendly and welcoming and she has boundaries.
