Honeyfish Poke

This is hands down the best poke I’ve ever had! I’m visiting from San Diego to see my cousin who lives nearby, and he highly recommended this place. I ordered a medium bowl with brown rice and a spring mix salad. The fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and I added almost every mix-in, which made the portion very generous. I tried the #2 sauce combo, and it’s now my absolute favorite—I can’t wait to come back and try the #1 sauce combo next time. I only wish this restaurant was closer to home!

Tried quite a few places in and around my home and this will be my new Go-To spot!!! Some places have either good fresh ingredients or kind staff or inviting setting, but this one had all three. Overall a must if you enjoy poke.

This place is good overall I did have to add extra Sriracha mayo and Soy sauce at home to add a bit more flavor. Overall the service was quick takeout, was my first time trying poke it is pretty pricey but made it last 2 days it was a total of 18$ no avocado I added that at home

Food/fish is super fresh and the sauces are very tasty. The portions are very good. The Hawaiian Tuna is something you must try. The staff is super nice and friendly. Kenneth is the best!

Delicious! Good variety for the build your bowl. This time I went basic with half rice half green salad, protein was salmon, tuna, and tofu, add-on scoop of imitation, cucumber, topping sesame seeds, edamame, and garlic. House Sauce on side for me.

Good place to grab Poke fast. Great Healthy place with assorted taste, variety of sushi for poke that can be served white rice, salad and AWESOME brown rice.

Pretty good, but they don’t always have all the important ingredients (like masago). Also, no place to eat outside since the little sit down area for the plaza is still closed. I would recommend Poke Bomb, personally.

The service was great, the food was delicious and everything is kept very clean. Highly recommend.

my favorite poke spot in the area! $14.50 for a small (2 scoops of protein) and unlimited choice of veggies and toppings. good portion (i always save for two meals!) I love how fresh their Hawaiian tuna and salmon is. Clean interior. Nice staffs!

Super clean environment inside. Simple, clear menu. Really enjoyed my poke bowl. I got spicy tuna, ahi tuna, and salmon, with a ponzu, wasabi, garlic seasoning. Definitely on my top list for poke. I really loved it Will come here again.

I hadn't been here in forever! I love this poke place, it's my favorite go to spot in the area. The service is always friendly and their food is fresh and tasty. It looks like their menu has been updated and simplified which is nice, easy to order and choose quicker. Their prices are fair and their bowls bring a good amount of protein and toppings.

This location ranks in the top three best poke I've ever eaten. I would be here more frequently if it weren't so far from where I live. The sauce tastes fantastic and the fish is fresh. with a wide range of options and tastes. Additionally, they do a fantastic job of keeping the rice hot and delicious, something that many other eateries don't accomplish. I'm eager to return!

I love this place ! It's always worth it to stop by here. Their scoops of your choice of protein are always pretty decent and they are patient while people service what they want.

I can't believe I haven't written about this place yet!! Lovee love it the best poke place no doubt. This is wear I first ever tried poke and I've been hooked it's amazing . I always get the large bowl w/white rice For protein I get : 2 scoops of spicy tuna, 1 scoop of Hawaiian tuna, & 1 scoop spicy salmon. Add ons : I add corn, edamame, and cucumbers Sauces: The spicy mayo, house ponzu and a little bit of their Japanese garlic sauce. Toppings: crispy onion, crispy garlic , and sesame seeds Delicious! Great portions & Great prices Fast and friendly service. Very clean and well kept inside, you can dine-in. 10/10 definitely recommend

Honeyfish has consistently been our favorite poke spot in the area! The prices here are a little lower, portions are generous, and the flavor and freshness are on point. For me, the albacore is one of their standouts. Other places sear the albacore leaving it dry and rubbery by the time you get to it. Theirs is fresh and not seared. I also love the Hawaiian tuna. All of the fish I've tried from them has been fresh with great per-scoop portion size. I also think their selection of sauces is better than other places and keep coming back because I crave the mango habanero mixed with wasabi ponzu and house dressing. Lastly, the service is some of the friendliest you will find. The employees there make you feel welcome and put a lot of care into preparing your food. My son and I are regulars and they always put a smile on our faces! Definitely give this place a try!

Not a fan of poke but my daughter insisted on having it for lunch so we came here on a whim and I'm so glad we did. If I were to describe a perfect bowl of poke, this would be it. Super fresh seafood thats been perfectly marinated (Hawaiian Tuna), soft and warm rice cooked to perfection, well proportioned ratio between mix ins, vibrant and fresh greens, and a great variety of toppings that add some wonderful texture to the meal. Also, it's a huge petpeeve of mine when I walk into an establishment and it radiates of fishy stench and cleaning agent so I usually to go my food. This was NOT the case here so I ate comfortably at the restaurant. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

My sister and I craved poke all of a sudden, so we decided to return to one of our goto spots to get poke around oc. I usually take it togo, but they do have seatings for those who want to dine in. One thing is that they were dog friendly as long as they were on a leash. I usually get a small bowl and the workers are very generous with the amount of toppings and fish that they give. I usually get the hawaiian tuna as a mix in and the spicy salmon on the bowl with half&half (spring mix, white rice). I just add some basic toppings and top it off with furikake and fried onion. There were tables by the fountain a few stores down, so we went to sit there and eat our bowls. I feel like the taste of the fish is usually fresh and tasty. The quality seems consistent whenever I go here. I would recommend this poke place to whoever is around oc or the area and want some fresh and good poke!

The food is always excellent here. I drive a ways to come to this spot, because other Poke places just can't compare. The staff is always polite. The restaurant is clean and I always feel welcome here. I will always go out of my way to come here.

I've seen lots of Poke places open and close, hopefully that doesn't happen here! Best Poke spot in La Habra... TOTALLY my opinion! Service is always friendly. Lots of parking and there is indoor dining and a couple of outdoor benches. I usually order my two proteins and all salad! The salmon is my favorite, always taste fresh, so that's my double choice! I usually ask for a spicy mixture for my sauces, along with a little bit of spicy mayo on the side. I add a bit of all the toppings and I am all set! :D I love having this in the comfort of my own car, listening to my favorite podcast and having a little break by myself! Aaahhhh, so amazing lol! I've been coming to Honeyfish Poke for around 4 or 5 years and it has been pretty consistent throughout the years. I do really enjoy their sauces and tend to ask them to sprinkle a little extra yuzu wasabi on my salad to act as a light dressing. They are relatively generous in their toppings, but I have noticed that the quality/quantity of fish given has definitely gone down. This place is no longer a place that I crave intensely, but now a place I go to so I can get my much needed fix of pole since it's the closest place to where I live. On to looking for the next best poke spot in OC!

Went to this poke place with my baby cousin as she was craving poke. You can choose rice, spring mix, or half and half as a base and then choose from a variety of protein options (salmon, spicy salmon, tuna, tofu, etc.). I decided to go with the tofu option with a half rice, half spring base (you can still bring your vegetarian friends here!). They have a variety of sides you can add- corn, edamame, cucumbers, seaweed salad, etc. You then finish off building your bowl by adding whatever sauce you want- I did ponzu, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. The bowl was a great size and I was just full after finishing mine.

Decent, low-priced poke. I got a medium bowl. Their Hawaiian tuna was really good. Combination of savory and a little spice. Good deal for the price. This is definitely the cheapest poke spot within a 5 mile radius. I think inflation has gotten to them. I used to come here a couple years ago and they decreased the size of their large bowls (they now use the medium containers for large bowls too). They also got rid of some of the truffle flavors sauces. At the same time, can't knock it too much because it's so much cheaper than the other poke spots. This is a take out poke spot in the plaza with Target and Chipotle. There's a couple tables, but the ambiance gives delivery and take-out spot. Service was good. Standard for a fast casual spot. Plenty of parking.

My go to lunch spot for sure!!! If you're going to try anything GET THE HAWAIIAN TUNA SOO YUMMY!!! the employees and always super friendly and will answer any questions :) there's also a board up with everyone's favorite sauce combos if you can't make up your mind and those! Also the cripsy onion and hot Cheetos for the dry toppings are a game changer

Love this place!! Quite literally the only place I go to for my poke now. The food is fresh and tastes amazing! The staff is also very nice, love them!

Not good anymore. I have been long time customer of this place for many years. Everything was fresh and big portion. Since the price has been increased multiple times, I haven't been eaten here for a few months. I walked in today to order 2 bowls for myself and wife. There were two new faces behind the counter. I patiently wait for my turn even there was no one in line. I placed my usual orders (I know.... I said regular instead of medium but had no problem for the past years!!). The guy gave me very bad attitude that they don't have regular size. It is my mistake so I fixed the order and moved on. The next few minutes he continued made mistakes and gave me very bad attitude. I am paying almost $20 a bowl for fast food and I cannot stand service like that. Finally I lost myself and walks away. I love the food there but I can't accept very bad services. I wish this is just a single incident.

I LOVE honeyfish!! They are always so sweet and kind whenever I visit after my workouts. The fish selection is AMAZING and always tastes so fresh. :)

I ordered the medium size bowl which comes with your choice of base (i chose spring mix&brown rice), three protein and toppings . They have a decent selection of different kinds of fish, toppings and sauces. Overall food was pretty good with good portions and the two ladies working there were friendly and patient. The order was served quickly and I would come back again. This was my first time trying this spot and safe to say this was worth the price.

My second time here and forgot how good this place was. This place is located in a strip mall with other eateries. Right on imperial and Idaho so easy to find! It's small and has a few tables to eat inside. The staff was friendly and patient giving me time to pick all my toppings. I ordered a med bowl? (3 proteins) with Hawaiian Tuna, spicy tuna, and ahi tuna with rice. I got almost all the toppings and added ponzu and spicy Mayo. The fish tasted fresh and had good texture. Also they gave a good amount of portion. Would definitely recommend and I will be coming back more often.

Giving 5 stars for what it is. Solid poke that's always fresh and cheaper than other places around the area. Same price for 4 scoops of fish that other places around here charge for 3 scoops.

I was passing by on my way to Target and thought I would give this place a try for dinner. The woman behind the counter way very kind and the prices seemed decent. However, the portion size was disappointing. I got a medium bowl and when I got home, I expected the 3 scoops of protein to be a nice portion size. The quality was good but the portion was lacking. It's not a place that would immediately come to mind if I was craving poke.

This place is definitely worth the money, not only the quality of food (so surprised raw fish was really fresh!) but also the customer service is great as well. I saw new worker who helped us out, she was super friendly and was happy to cater to all my requests with my bowl. Overall we left satisfied with our packed bowls of poke! Try their Hawaiian tuna with spicy red sauce! Super good ;)

Best poke bowl place in my neighborhood! Many choices of fresh fish and octopus. I noticed the scoop is bigger than other places! Splurge and get the 4 scoop because it's only a $1.00 more! Choice of white or brown rice. Many toppings and house made sauces to choose from. I plan on coming back here from now on to get my poke bowls .... and you should too ! (Sorry no pics this time. I'll post pics next time ).

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS, I WOULD! I've been coming here for many years and my most recent trip here on Monday was the worst I've ever experienced. The woman serving me was very slow and seemed very unaware of the service and products she was serving me as she could not even answer basic questions. I ordered a salmon and spicy tuna bowl and when I arrived home, it already had a sour taste to it. Then just hours later I developed nauseous symptoms which I can only relate to the food that I bought from this establishment as it was the only thing I have eaten thus far. I was only able to eat a couple of bites before having to throw the bowl away and I still received food poisoning. It was brought to my attention ​that they are now under new ownership, which is why they got rid of the teas and other customer favorite items while the quality has diminished greatly as they now have resorted to using canned vegetables instead of the fresh ones like before. I have also noticed that with the change in ownership, the longtime regular staff that I have come to know are either now no longer employed or have had their hours greatly reduced, which is a shame because they were all very kind and have great customer service. With all due respect to the new owner, as a long time customer I have to simply ask why? Why on earth would you deliberately botch a perfectly fine staff and product that people over the years have grown fond of. If it isn't broken, don't change it!

Visited while I was in the area, the fish is fresh & quality is good. The staff was super friendly and knowledgable with the menu, and even suggested their mango habanero mixed with the Japanese garlic sauce- it tasted amazing. It's only a few bucks to upgrade the scoops of fish, definitely recommend.

Decent poke restaurant in a large plaza Fish is very fresh and there are plenty of toppings. I got the salmon and my friend got the spicy salmon and hawaiian tuna. What I love most is their pre-made recipe of mixed sauces so you don't have to choose just one! It's really flavorful If you check in, you get a free miso soup :) Good amount of indoor seating available (at least when I went) - you should check it out!

Despite the variety of toppings they provide, the overall quality of their bowls does not justify the expensive price tag. Rundown/Issues I experienced: - Bowls are either 1, 3, or 5 scoops. If you prefer variety in your protein, you're mainly left with either 3 or 5 scoops of protein, unlike most places that offer 2 different scoops for their smallest size. - Despite nobody being behind me, I felt very rushed by one of the workers regarding choosing my bowl. There was no asking if I wanted enough/more of toppings/sauces, things were just being tossed into my bowl rapidly and I had to ask for certain things to be added as the worker hurried to move onto the next station. - Rice was HOT which made my fish slightly warm by the time I was able to eat it. Additionally, in my video towards the bottom of the bowl, the rice quality declined and it was dry making it difficult to finish the bowl. - Imitation crab was overpowered by the taste of mayo and was slightly warm due to the rice Overall, very expensive for the quality of food you receive although they do get points for variety and portion, I'd rather pay the same amount for better quality poke bowls elsewhere

Ingredients are fresh, they mix the protein and mix-ins also you choose to separate or to put the side And friendly staffs

Love finding a great Pole spot. Not all are the same but, this place is great! We walked out of here so happy & satisfied. I ordered a small tuna bowl, good size portion, great flavor & decent price. Staff is great too. Will definitely be back.

I love this place so much. Always smiling faces behind the counter, always thanking you for waiting (even though the wait is never more than a couple minutes). The place is small but cute and very efficient set up. The poke is also of course delicious and probably my favorite in all of Orange County (and I love me some poke). I refuse to get my poke anywhere else than Honeyfish. I always be sure to tip as a small thanks.

Was looking for something after 8PM and came across Honeyfish on Yelp. In a big plaza and parking was easy. It's a typical poke joint. You go down the line and they throw everything in a bowl. Plenty of toppings to choose from but sauce was a bit bland for me. Overall, not a bad option if you're in the area.

Great fish, probably the best quality around. The younger guy with diamond studs was super rude though. Rushed us, hardly spoke, yet made rude comments on what we were getting. He also gave one of us significantly less food than the other employee gave us. Probably wouldn't get a bowl again if I saw him serving. Weird service but good fish.

Best pokey in town. Great selection of fish and sauces to customize the bowl. friendly staff. I highly recommend coming here.

This is the best Poke I have ever had. When it comes to Poke it's all about freshness and sauce. The fish here , and all the food, is fresh. There are several sauces to choose from and they are all delicious. Along side traditional poke sauces there are also some choices that you don't get other places like Japanese Garlic and Yuzu Wasabi. Besides the food, the service was friendly and the place is clean. Such a treat.

Obviously one of the best Poke places around simply because of their topping selection. Sure the fish is always fresh, the portions are generous and the staff gracious. But what really makes this place the most awesome poke joint around is PINEAPPLE! That's right if you haven't had PINEAPPLE on your poke you haven't lived. And the fact that so many other poke places do not have the insight and wisdom to offer PINEAPPLE means that they are only offering you an INFERIOR Poke experience

This is my new favorite spot for poke. Their prices are great compared to other poke spots, considering their portions. I usually get a medium bowl that contains 3 proteins and the Hawaiian tuna is my favorite. The workers do not skimp on the protein scoops! I love the assortment of toppings and sauces. There is a good amount of tables inside for seating and the service is quick and easy.

0 Stars Worst management I've ever worked in. I use to respect this place with the other 2 previous owners, with the new owner there is no respect or communication. I would not eat here since the food is lower quality. I could go into more detailed with the environment of the store having flies and how there are fly traps above the protein. Food is left out in the back while being prepped. My friends/family informed me they ordered a bowl recently and got food poisoning. Do better Thank you

Been coming here since it was owned by korean owner since they opened and I think due to owner changing they are skimpy on the toppings. Before I would as for a little more edamame or topping and would give it to me. Now the new owner wouldn't allow it and said if I did get that then it was wrong. She would have to charge me extra for a little more -.- I wanted extra sauce on the side and asked if that was extra but I guess for sauce the first one is free if you ask for more than one she will charge. They don't sell teas here any more either :( so sad. The one thing that stood out and why I chose to come here than other places was because of the portion and very generous. They are very strict on portions now :(

Been coming here for years. I love it! Best place around. Great food, service and prices. I even moved a bit further and still come to the place. Their portions are generous and have all the toppings you can think of. Tried their Hawaiian Tuna today which is already marinated and it was delicious. Definitely recommend! They also have a point system so make sure to sign up with your number. It takes 20 seconds.

New manager is extremely rude and the quality has gone downhill significantly and looking at these new reviews they seem fake since they are so similar. Following a template. "I was craving poke so i came with ____ they have _____ I had ______" the reality is all of the old crew left due to the new management. Take your time to look at the real reviews. He couldn't delete old reviews so he decided to buy fake ones. SHAME. Been a customer for YEARS. What a way to throw a business that has flourished before you away.

We love this place! Huge portions, low prices, and they handle your bowl with so much care. This place was busy, but they served everyone quickly & efficiently.

This restaurant is the worst place I have ever dined in!! I am so mad right now because it was highly rated but manager Susie is very incompetent. It seems like she does not know how to run this establishment and has these poor staff working too hard! I will not be dining here unless I see a good review after my own. Dueces .

Absolutely horrible came here earlier this week and got food poisoning. Was making small talk with the employee and found out that the old owner sold the store. The new owner has changed the menu and some of my old favorites item like the calamari salad and wonton chips are gone. I've been coming here for many years and noticed a great decline in the taste of food. Never coming here again and letting all of my friends know about the changes.
