Where to Eat Poke Around D.C.

"This chain is based out of California but has established a footprint here, with locations downtown and in Rockville. Customers order based on how many scoops of poke they desire, and then choose from various toppings, proteins, and fillings (kanikama, or imitation crab stick, is one of the more unusual choices)." - Missy Frederick, Travis Mitchell

I like how it’s conveniently located to my office. There are no preselected options. Prices are kind of high. Quality is about 3/5. Would be great if they had preselected options. Didn’t make crab extra. Had the names of items more neatly organized. And if they mixed the poke up with the sauces more authentically. Also extra avocado for 1.50 for just a sliver is not good value.

I came here because I wanted to try this new Poke place. It is delicious and there are a variety of options. I enjoyed my poke bowl and plan on coming back.

A bit pricey for the portion sizes. Although it's quick and the food good, they tend to skimp on portion sizes. They give very little rice, and sometimes I ask for double veggie toppings just to get something substantial. The fish is good though - I feel safe eating raw fish here, which is important.

Good seasoning , but portion sizes are pretty small for the price

Great food here, fast service and a healthy choice of veggies. Stop reading this and eat up

Veggies and fish were good but there wasn't even close to enough sauce. As a result the whole thing was too dry. We also ordered (and paid an extra $1 each) avacado. It was just a chunk of avacado, peel and all, and less than 1/4 of a whole avacado. Difficult to eat and not worth an extra $1.

I was happily surprised when I found Honeyfish. They have a great variety of options for add ins, and I found their portions to be fair for the price point. The space was clean and small, so make sure to get there before the usual "rush".

Had gotten food here in the past and was pleased. This instance, the woman behind the counter was unprofessional did not appear interested in helping me. This on top of the store being "out" of the majority of toppings made for a pretty negative experience. There are plenty of better Poke spots in the area.
