I used to love it here. Sadly its gone downhill the past year. The portions are significantly smaller but the prices are just as high. I ordered the Garlic Butter Chicken and it was barely full. I also got the Brownie Crumble and there were no brownies in it. I get it mistakes happen but when I’m paying almost $12 for something some effort should be made. Oh well it was good while it lasted.

Google
Zero complaints about taste it was my first time eating here it had so much flavor !!!! Portion size was disappointing for $30. So I guess if you’re looking for something that tastes absolutely delicious and you’re not that hungry. This is a good place.

Lane

Google
The food itself tasted good.. but the price for the portion is astounding.. ~$7 per cup for them to fill only 1/8th of the small cup with yogurt.. don't go here if you actually want yogurt/parfaits :')

Google
Create your own stir fry is great! I loved being able to add my own picks. While I was a bit disappointed with the sauces (miso butter was way too buttery and reminded me of seafood), I liked the portion size and mix of ingredients. I wish there were more ways to customize the sauces like combing some or going the way of Genghis Grill and letting you mix your own sauce. They didn’t take too long during workday lunch rush too which is great.

We went there cause we went to the ICA and wanted to have lunch at Tate nearby but there was a line of 10+ people so we looked for the closest thing nearby for lunch. Here there was no wait and they have these great touchscreens that can place your order, pay with a card right there and then they text you when your order is ready so we didn't even have to wait inside for our food which bothers me these days. The food was great and everything was prepared very fast. The only reason this isn't 5 starts for me is because it's a bit pricey for lunch. I guess they have to price like that because everyone goes nextdoor for lunch, but still it's a bit pricey. But in some aspects worth it. I would go there again.

I had noodle craving that day and their chili shrimp bowl was tasty and filling. My online order was lost, but cashiers quickly figured it out and made me a fresh bow with free soda to make up for inconvenience.

Google
I love this place! I only order from Uber eats as they have a really great offer in there, and I always order the brownie too (it’s so delicious). I always hope they give me some more by mistake lol. The stir fry and brownie literally give stars! I will continue to order on the days that we don’t feel like cooking:)

Google
Taste-wise, the food was just ok. We ordered spicy garlic stir-fry noodles and red curry - both vegetarian.

Jeanette N.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the Spicy Garlic stir fry while exploring the Boston Seaport area. It was a welcome change after 3 days of lobster rolls.

Tal O.

Yelp
Honeygrow is a great go-to for an easy dinner. I love the self serve kiosk so I don't have to chat with anyone to place my order. Food is made quick and is so yummy! So many options and customizable bowls and salads to choose from. Brownies and lemonade are fantastic

Sanaz L.

Yelp
Nothing makes me stop ordering out faster than finding a piece of hair in my food! Absolutely disgusted! I will never ever eat at honeygrow again. And I'll be cooking from now on I'm so disgusted.

Dashelle G.

Yelp
Honeygrow is a very efficient establishment. Since there is no one taking your order and you manually do it yourself at the kiosk, it allows all the workers to be preparing the food that is ordered. Within five minutes of ordering from the kiosk, my food was ready. The create your own stir fry option is amazing. You get a decent amount of food you get for the price you pay. The roasted tofu was amazing. I will say that the broccoli pieces could be a little more consistent in size and not varying from small heads of broccoli to enormous heads of broccoli. The peppers and mushrooms could use a little more time on the heat. As I bit into the mushroom it was halfway cooked - still good nonetheless! The ambiance of the place is nice when it's not busy. As people start to fill the establishment and the kitchen gets busy, I think that it gets a little too loud. Almost hard to hear when your order is ready.

Yelp
A new favorite! So glad I decided to try this place. Absolutely love their stir fry noodle/rice meals, especially the create your own option. I'm very particular about chicken. So many places serve disgusting low quality dark or mystery meat but this place has legit good quality, perfectly cooked white meat chicken. All of their sauces are super delicious - love the garlic butter, sesame garlic and soy five spice! Highly recommend trying this place. Hope they add more locations!

Sam F.

Yelp
Super clean restaurant with basic ambience, but love the way they offer their multiple ordering screens, and every meal was easily customizable. All three of us have very different taste and we all found something we enjoyed. I only wish that there were more locations across the US.

Andrea L.

Yelp
Portions are much smaller than they used to be (see my photo and previous ones) but I still keep coming back because the spicy garlic sauce is so good and the noodles are just so bouncy and cooked perfectly! The green beans were slightly undercooked for my liking and the Maine Root green tea was out. I saw they offered bottled sauces / salad dressings and raw noodles which I may try next time. This is a much better value if you're willing to prepare the food yourself!

Alaina M.

Yelp
Honeygrow is amazing! The food is so good, relatively quick and healthy. It also has kiosks in the Seaport location to order which is super convenient! Clean setting and clean spots to eat at. Staff was very friendly. A little pricey but worth it. Plenty of gluten free options!

Maureen C.

Yelp
Love this place! The food was delivered so quickly, and Nate was the best-- he went out of his way to make sure the meal prep eliminated any risk for my severe sesame allergy. The whole crew there is kind, works super hard and goes out of their way to make customers happy. 10 stars.

Amina R.

Yelp
Lacked flavor but I did appreciate the freshness. I have been looking to try this place for a while so maybe my expectations outweighed my experience, this making it hard to say it was great. I will definitely try it again in the future, maybe with multiple sauces

Eric F.

Yelp
a lil more on the expensive side, but an amazing noodle bowl spot. only downside was the "cherry lemonade" i believe which tasted overly sweet and processed. service was good, dining area was clean, and bathroom was also very clean.

Winter B.

Yelp
I had a really good experience with honey grow! I went with a friend and we both ordered stir fry noodle dishes from the menu. They have you order on a tablet/computer thing which is very efficient. If you get takeout it comes in a really cute little box too. The menu is extensive and has many options. There's rice bowls, noodle bowls, and salads. They also have desserts. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and healthy as well. Definitely a fun spot if you want to switch up your lunch or dinner or are out with friends!

Yelp
I'd never heard of this fast casual chain but decided to give their Seaport location a try. I liked their tablet ordering system and the ability to customize every detail. I ordered a custom stir fry and it was pretty good. Service was quick and everything was just as I ordered. Overall, good addition to the Seaport if you want a casual low key meal rather than eating at one of the many fancy restaurants.

Devon K.

Yelp
Honeygrow deserves it's solid 3.5 star rating. This particular location is right in the Seaport next to the ICA. You order from a kiosk and then the people behind the window make it for you. Interesting concept but also seems kind of silly? On to the food. I ordered a make your own stir fry. I opted to pay extra for pineapple ($.80). I did a base of egg noodles, chicken, carrots, broccoli, onion, fried shallots, and truffle honey in the sesame garlic sauce. It ended up being about $12 (picture below). The flavor was good but definitely not for the value. Yes they use local ingredients but the portion was quite small and mostly just noodles. The flavors worked well but items like the truffle honey ended up either not being there or the flavor was non-existent. My friends dish was wrong and they brought over her add on (an avocado) a few minutes into our meal. I'm glad they fixed the situation, but $2 for her avocado half that almost wasn't there is silly. It was packed form lunch time so I'll give them a break. Would I return? Maybe. If I was really hungry, yes, but with so many build your own options, I can't see going out of my way to eat here

Zack M.

Yelp
The food was alright, not that great flavor but it seemed pretty healthy if that's what you're looking for. In my opinion it was overpriced and basically an American version of Chinese takeout. I'd definitely have to be in a specific mood to get this again

James F.

Yelp
I love honey grow! I live in seaport and it's extremely good. Staff is quick and efficient. The place is always clean. The buffalo chicken stir fry is the best :) can't speak highly enough of these guys!

Vivian C.

Yelp
The Seaport honeygrow location is located in the building right in front of the ICA. It was a sunny day for a walk, so I figured I could run out there and pick up something quick for my lunch. Having headed off with the intent of beating the lunch crowd, there was only one person ahead of me waiting for one of their four ordering stations to become available. It was my first trip to honeygrow, after having been to the Downtown Minigrow but once, and I found the ordering process a little confusing. Bummer, you mean I can't choose another sauce? How do you put the sauce on the side? I ended up ordering their season special Chesapeake Crab (freshly made egg white noodles, blue crab, grape tomatoes, bell peppers, red onions, scallions, parsley, Old Bay tomato broth) with the sauce on the side, and additional veggie add ins of broccoli and spinach and fried shallots for 50 cents each. The wait felt a bit long especially since bag after bag were added to the Pre-Order Pick Up station before I witnessed someone receiving the order they placed in the restaurant. Another row was filled, then a number of waiting patrons had their numbers called, then mine! I felt like I had hit the lottery. It was 12 minutes after my order had been first queued up. I wonder in what order the orders are prepped. When there's a waiting crowd taking up space in house, it would be nice if they could alternate some of our orders into the queue. Good thing I had requested the Old Bay tomato broth on the side - it was a little too hot for me. The stir fried noodles had sufficient flavor with all the ingredients, though the bulk of them had managed to find their way to the bottom of my take-out container. The noodles were bouncy and the bell peppers crisp. In terms of portion size - I ate the whole thing and was neither still hungry, nor overly full. Hopefully they'll take better care about cross contamination going forward. I called to let them know I found a mushroom in my dish that I hadn't ordered - he apologized and said they would be more careful. Fortunately I'm not allergic. It is a personal pet peeve of mine when a menu has no mention of cost. At honeygrow, you won't have any idea as to the cost of things till you start working on your order at one of the stations, though the customer waiting ahead of me kindly gave me a head's up that it will likely be around $10. 3 stars for now.

Sumit D.

Yelp
Pathetic customer service! The food was awful in both of my orders, with no flavors, it was like raw noodles. I literally threw it after trying couple of bites and had to order Panera instead for dinner. I provided the feedback to the management to look into the issue and its been 3 days with no response. Disappointed, not going back!

Christine H.

Yelp
The red curry rice noodle here is flavorful, perfectly spicy and filling. I got mine with chicken and tofu (by accident since i wanted to replace tofu but got double protein instead). The reason for the 3 stars is the yogurt! For close to 8 dollars (normal price without any additional fruits or toppings), my cup with pitiful and small. The top was filled with fruit and honey however my friends and I struggle to find the yogurt. There was only one thin layer of yogurt on the bottom. Overall, it was nothing special and for that price I could make a better parfait at home.

Anna F.

Yelp
I really like this place. If I worked nearby, I would probably have a salad problem, lol. You order on a tablet, which makes it easy to customize your salad- for example, I took off the parmesan crisps from myy arugula buckwheat noodle salad, and added peppers and cucumbers. I like that they have Maine root sodas in their soda dispensers, and showcase artist's work.

Durvank Y.

Yelp
So, ordered from this place a bunch of times. The food tastes good on better half of the days - Their create your own fry option is what I have always - it's like different bunch of noodles and the option of healthy as well as not so healthy items as toppings and dressings Their honeybar (basically fruit bowl) is very good, have freedom to add different variety of toppings and different fruits.

Yelp
I keep thinking back to my 19th birthday; my friends took me out on weekend night and told me something I've not forgotten: If a place is dead on a Friday or Saturday night, find somewhere else. I find this doesn't necessarily mean a place should be avoided like the plague, but it does mean there are better places around. Still, even though there was only one person, if that, here at around 5:30-6:00, I decided to stick around nonetheless, as I've been meaning to try honeygrow for a little while. I ordered a stir fry bowl with noodles and spiced ground turkey. The rest was toppings and garnishes (who were not the stars of the dish). The sauce I think was sesame garlic, which I requested on the side (this will be important later). I did like that the stir-fries are made fresh, rather than being kept under a lamp. I also liked that they did not skimp on the meat. Too many times I get a bowl of one kind or another, and after three bites all the meat is gone. Sure, it wasn't loaded, but there was more than enough. Remember what I said about the sauce? Well, they accidentally added it to the bowl, they caught this and to their credit, offered to remake it. I still took it as is. They were a bit heavy handed with it, but again, to their credit, the ordering system has an option for less sauce. So, these two in mind, the overuse of sauce is forgiven. So what caused me to drop two stars? First, while the toppings and garnishes helped round out the dish, and have it some more spice and general "oomph", the dish was mainly noodles and meat. I'm sorry, this just isn't all that exciting. There is an option to have a base of greens, or have a salad altogether, but then that turns into something else. I would really have liked to see more fresh and vegetable options, added as a main, and not just a topping/garnish. Don't you all say on your webpage that you're tired of mediocrity, well... Second, there is the price/value. Maybe they use local/organic products, but in a bowl of mainly pasta, sauce, and meat, what I got didn't seem to justify the cost for me. Wanting to try some honey-based stuffs for dessert, the sticker shock kept me from ordering. To be fair, I didn't know what exactly I'd be getting, but the price seemed rather high. The location was clean, and the service was nice.

Kate G.

Yelp
This place is right up my alley. I have this thing about make-your-own stir fry stations, they are just so fun and unlike make-your-own omlette stations, no matter how crazy you get, they always taste great. And what is better is that it tastes healthy and fresh. I have been to the Fenway location before, but the Seaport location is newer. It is a good spot to run in for a quick, healthy, filling meal. Here's the rundown: you order and pay on iPads. Then you get a receipt with a number, and then you go to the front to grab your food when your number is called. Service is quick. I will also say that when I went the staff was incredibly attentive and kind. We had two different staff members check in with us, and one brought us waters. They seem to be making a huge effort to make it an enjoyable experience, and it is! I will say parking is tough. But if you are in the Seaport, maybe visiting the ICA, give it a try. I like this as an option for fast, healthy, food when you are sick of Sweetgreen and Chipotle.

William G.

Yelp
First time trying honey grow, they order on a modern kiosk which was unique. I got the sweet soy with mushrooms, chicken, kale with noddles. The food is quite tasty when it comes to healthy fast food, they fill up one of those typically small Chinese takeout containers so it is reasonable but not huge portions. The prices were roughly $11, I would personally say it's less of a value than chipotle but it is unique and tasty if you are craving noodles

Emily R.

Yelp
This place is just alright. I got the sesame stir fry and it was a bit overpriced considering how much you actually got. If you want a better stir-fry just go to nearby Chinatown. Other than being a bit salty, it was rather bland. I wouldn't really recommend.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Yikes, all filler. Was expecting this to at least be to the quality I've come to expect from Minigrow by my $12 custom bowl was 85% rice with roughly 2 1/2 oz of Beef and then a little smattering of broccoli as more of a garnish than an ingredient in its own right. For the value (or lack thereof), I won't be back. Really nice staff though!

Edward C.

Yelp
Restaurant supports fraud apparently. Some low life stole my info and placed a large order at this place. I called right away to cancel it instead of having my funds tied up and the worker who answered the phone told me he can't cancel despite telling me the fraudulent order. I asked to speak to a manager and hung up on me. Absolutely pathetic of this place to still carry out an order for their own profit instead of stopping a scam.

Angelina M.

Yelp
Stir-fry comfort food in the Seaport! Honeygrow is like Qdoba for stir-fry with the added DIY ordering on a tablet. We came on a Thursday night and one of the workers came up to show us how everything works. They have several restaurant special bowls but you can also make your own bowl by picking and choosing ingredients. I went with the red curry bowl: rice noodles, pineapple, chicken, and red curry. My husband chose the broccoli and turkey with brown rice. We also got a honey bowl to share: yogurt, different fruit to choose from, granola, chocolate chips, and we chose the wildflower honey. We took a seat and our bowls came out shortly. The restaurant has a decent amount of seating along with bright walls and clean tables. Our bowls were delicious and good amount for around $9-11 each. We loooved the honey bowl! I could eat this thing for breakfast everyday. They source local honey which is great!

Bridget N.

Yelp
Pineapple seemed canned and/or overcooked? Red curry sauce was pretty flavorless, even after the addition of red pepper flakes. Will try again and order something hopefully more flavorful

Nicole G.

Yelp
Flew into Boston, searched for the closest salad I could find. Tasty stir fry is what I ended up going with. Main issue was parking in the area. Tasty. Kind of pricey for the portion.

Anastasia K.

Yelp
When i walked into honeygrow, i wasn't expecting much from it. regular noodle place, i was going to get something relatively basic. after the short wait time, we got our food and sat down at a very nice location nearby. the noodles were a 10/10 and the chicken was very fresh, you could taste the freshness. the brownie though... it was amazing. i actually think without any exaggeration, it was a 12/5 brownie. i was actually crying when i ate it. it was so fudgy and amazing. it was tears of bliss and joy. i was basically sobbing when eating it, after finishing, i wasnt sad that it was over. i was actually overjoyed that i got to experience this delight of a dessert.

Abbie M.

Yelp
Okay, we've been here twice now and I have to admit that I underrated Honeygrow when it came into the neighborhood and just assumed it was another chain. We finally tried it a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised! We've made our own bowls both times and the flavors are great. The first time there weren't quite enough veggies, so I added an extra one this time, and it was perfect. Also I love the easy ordering system, which is pretty COVID-friendly. We can get a tasty lunch for $20, with leftovers for me! A great little lunch spot.

Meah F.

Yelp
So happy this location lived up to our memory. Food is always great at Honeygrow! Fresh veggies and awesome service. Great location for lunch or dinner.

Xueyan M.

Yelp
Terrible taste. Not worth the money. I would recommend you to go to sweetgreen instead. I will never come back again. No honeygrow and minigrow ever.

Scott O.

Yelp
"eek! methinks not." That is a great way to describe it. I hope all the folks who work here can keep working. Weird style but professional execution. I don't understand their vibe. And that's fine. It's sort of like wawa in that they have touch screens, but I guess kind of like an asian fusion restaurant? I don't know why it is called honeygrow? It doesn't seem to have particular focus on honey in their food. I don't know its like an overpriced Chinese restaurant that doesn't call itself a chinese restaurant but they even have Chinese take out boxes. Words have power, and I'm sorry. But also I wanted to try writing a review of a restaurant I go to sometimes that I don't like very much. But hey i'm happy for you if you like it.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Love this place! What's not to love? Excellent customer service - they greet me with a warm smile EVERYTIME I stop in and the place is immaculate. They have delicious stir fry and salad options and you can order for pick up on their app and rack up some sweet rewards with points. I love the make your own feature - they make it so easy to customize and order on the go. Always hot, fresh, and delicious!!

Sarah G.

Yelp
Ordered delivery via Uber eats. Both of the noodle bowls had only a few pieces of the protein and veggies (not even 10% of the box) and our bread that we ordered and paid for was not included in our delivery.

Irene H.

Yelp
You place your order directly on the computers they have in there so it is super efficient. I only came here during the weekend so there was no line but I can imagine it can get a little packed during lunch hours during the week - there is an app where you can order ahead of time so you can avoid the mad rush and just order and pay on the app and just head there to pick up. The food was delicious - the portions could be bigger but it tastes flavorful and yummy so nothing much to complain there! This and minigrow are my go to lunch spots!

Clarissa W.

Yelp
Seriously the noodle stir fry's taste like pre-packaged school lunch or ones you buy in the stores in a box from the freezer aisle. Speaking of freezer aisle my noodles were cold, peppers not even cooked. So disappointed just ordered for the first time today and will never order again. I'm definitely contacting the company

We G.

Yelp
Really wanted to love this place as I live across the street, but $21 for a tasteless smaller version lomein/fried rice combo meal that you'd pay max $10 at any other Asian place? No thanks, I'll just get something from Chinatown, or literally anywhere else

Clemia B.

Yelp
I was in love with this place for a while. It was my "go to" for food delivery after a long day of working virtually. However, the last 3 times I have placed orders on line (mostly create your own salad CYO), the majority of the ingredients I selected for my salad were missing. The Majority. And there was no adjustment to the price and no explanation for the missing ingredients. The salads all come with a printed receipt with all of the ingredients I selected printed right on the receipt. It is as if the preparer just ignores the custom order and they seem to make whatever type of salad they prefer. Very disappointing. This is no longer my "go to."

Julia F.

Yelp
So simple yet so delicious! I had a freshly crafted noodle bowl with a bunch of veggies. They have options for vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers. I would like to let you know that they soft drinks are not the typical foundation beverages BUT they are still delicious! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Maggie N.

Yelp
Ordered spicy tofu curry "stir fry" which is mainly noodles and not at all spicy. (All of their noodle bowls are just that-- a bowl of mostly noodles.) Jalapeño sliced extremely thin (for babies) and "curry" sauce is tasty but lacking. Overall the "stir fry" was a good carb fix that is tasty enough if you add tamari, ponzu, and sriracha sauces! Price $10+tax. Ready in about 7 mins. Adequate seating. All but impossible to park in Seaport.

Park G.

Yelp
Gave this place another try after management provided me with a coupon for my next order. This time I tried the egg noodle stir fry with chicken and the curry sauce. This one is by far my favorite with the chicken pieces moist and the sauce flavorful. The food was nice and hot this time and the portion was generous. This is also my first time eating at lunch time with the others around dinner. The ingredients may be more fresh during the daytime, but regardless, I'm a fan.

Ella B.

Yelp
The food is ok if you can get over the crappy logistics of this location. I've only been to this location, so maybe the other ones have their operations more streamlined. I work nearby and it's gets crazy busy around lunch time so I was hoping to beat the crowds, I walk in at 11:28, order by 11:30 and walk out with my order at 11:58, that's sort of long to wait for a take out order - what if I only had 30 mins for lunch (??) I guess the problem today was that their monitor for their orders was broken, so they couldn't see the names of the orders. - minus 1 star for over all operations. The second minus is that you can visibly see the amount of fumes from cooking, it's literally smokey in the store, it's like their exhaust hood isn't working. Personally I would not want to go someplace for lunch and walk out smelling like take out for the rest of the day, so another -1/2 star for air quality/circulation inside the store. The last -1/2 star is due to the fact that I cannot order online like a normal person without downloading the Caviar app. That's really annoying. I just want to be able to call or order online without adding yet another thing to my phone. So the -1/2 star is for the annoyance of forcing me to fill my virtual space. When they get your order right the food is fine and quite tasty. Unfortunately they did not get my order right today but I didn't want to walk back in the cold, wait another 30, and to have eau d'takeout as my fragrance for the rest of the day.

Stacey G.

Yelp
I really like this place. Great stir fry. Healthy options. All of their items can be custom made. I wish some veggies were cooked a little more (mushroom and peppers). Good quality ingredients. Food is made to order and quickly. Pricey but you will leave feeling full and satisfied. For that reason I think it is a reasonable price.

Emma G.

Yelp
Honeygrow is not just another fast casual bowl joint, it makes amazing stir fry and has a wide variety of options on the menu. All of the ordering is done on a computer which makes it quicker and more efficient because there were 3 or 4 computer screens to order from so I can see it being much less chaotic at busy times. They have stir fry bowls, parfaits, and salads with tons of different toppings and add ins and everything can be customized. I got stir fry with rice noodles, veggies, and tofu and ginger sauce. The one downfall was the portion size, compared to other places that serve food in a similar style (Dig Inn, Chipotle, etc.) the portion was small at Honeygrow. Nonetheless the food was delicious and the prices are comparable ($8-10 for a bowl and extra for certain toppings). The prices are also decent for the location considering there are a number of high end places nearby. There is a lot of seating inside and they are efficient with take out orders as well.

Erica K.

Yelp
Honeygrow is great! Love the options when it comes to putting together your own stir fry. Delicious noodles, tofu, veggies, and sauces! My favorite sauces are the garlic sesame and pesto

Julian U.

Yelp
Honeygrow's Stir-fries and salads make for a reliable and quick lunch but they could definitely be improved as well. Stir-fries are often too heavy with noodles and could definitely benefit from more veggies to complement the proteins. Sauciness is also quite inconsistent- sometimes medium is just right and sometimes it is soaked with sauce. As for salads, I think Honeygrow has some room to catch up to sweetgreen which I've experienced to be the most reliable salad venue in the seaport. On the whole though Honeygrow offers fresh and tasty food that's worth a try.
