The Ice cream is very good here! Very refreshing and one of my favorites in the area. The customer service leaves much to be desired. No Hello when you enter, and the cashier really does not care about customer service. Not sure if it is a generational thing but a simple Hello could make a difference to a customer.

It was a late night and I was craving a good drink. This spot hit the spot! I ordered their cookies and cream with ice cream. It was probably the best shake I’ve had on a hot evening and it was excellent. Solid amount of cookie pieces and the ice cream put it over the top. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.

Got the Yuzu Honey Milkshake, good but a bit too sweet for me. Updated review: went back to try their soft serves and both matcha and milk soft serves were just amazing!! Will be back for those!! 🍦👌

Not bad ice cream. I was waiting outside and saw this place. I wasn't sure if it was open since not many people there. I saw someone eat ice cream and then realize it was open. Decided to try it and was quick and easy. In a few mins got our ice cream. It was okay tho, since it was just ice cream with honey on it. Maybe ill have to try another flavor next time.

Honeymee in DTLA offers delicious, creamy soft-serve ice cream topped with pure honeycomb, creating a perfect blend of sweetness and texture. The shop is small but clean, with quick and friendly service. Ideal for a refreshing treat after exploring downtown, though prices are a bit high for the portion size.

Unique little place in downtown LA. The establishment serves ice cream, in only one flavor. You have the choice to add honey to it. I added the sea salt. It was pretty good. You can get it in a cup or a waffle cone. There are also milkshakes available in assorted flavors. Unique to LA as I haven’t seen it anywhere else. Prices are reasonable. An experience you can’t go wrong with, but not sure that I would crave it enough to come back.

Been here a few times since the pandemic as the last time I tried it they only had one flavor - it was milk and honey . Now they have a great variety of flavors. As it turns out this morning I walked by and they have breakfast options, e.,g. bagels and croissants with ham & cheese. I’d be hard to to get people to walk into a creamery early in the morning ( specially during fall/winter) as they don’t sell coffee but …I guess having portions is good. The ladies that work at night are very nice and sweet !!! Very good customer service . I recommend . A great dessert specially the passion fruit option- my fav. Remember they use syrups and honeys so they’ll be sweet ask for less or stir ice cream in flavor not as sweet. Whoever worked on Oct 19 Night Shift has no customer service skills. But the ladies tonight are great . I forgot their names tho but very nice /sweet .

To the manager of the DTLA location: I have visited multiple times during the weekday evening time and have encountered consistently rude behavior from the two young men who work there. I walk up and not even a simple “hello” or “what can I get for you?” I place my order and they punch it in, barely a few words exchanged during the transaction. I understand the communication challenges faced by Gen Z, but this is downright rude. I want to support local downtown businesses but I will spend my money elsewhere. For the sake of your business, please address this issue.

DELISH!!!!! Honeymee is always such a hit!! We walked by this place after getting dinner after AX. I got the classic milk soft serve with honeycomb. Prices have gone up for sure, but still a good dessert option. The shop itself is small, so we just stood outside and ate our desserts. You can't really go wrong with any item on the menu here! Service was fast and friendly.

What a cute place to pop in at lunch! I loved the strawberry affogato and would definitely get it again. It gives me major strawberry cheesecake vibes which makes me want to add cheesecake to it somehow! My coworkers all enjoyed theirs as well! Good amount of seating, but on a hot day it's still pretty warm inside as people come in and out of the door.

This is one of the places I almost always try and hit up while I'm in DTLA: really amazing soft serve and delicious honey. This location is small, with a very small amount of seating and you should expect having to grab and go. It's well staffed and wait times aren't too long despite it usually looking a little crowded. I typically go for their OG, but it was 4th of July and I got their 4th of July special on offer. Honeymee soft serve with honey on top, a strawberry glaze/syrup on the top and I couldn't quite place the blue syrup flavor as it had mostly blended into the soft serve by the time I got to it. I love the tiny American flag on top! Can't go wrong if you're in the mood for premium soft serve. If anything, I wish there was more seating at this location to hang out and enjoy the sweet treats for even longer.

Soft serve still as good as I remember! Be aware though that ice cream isn't served till after 11AM. When I went their ice machine was also broken so the drink I got was pretty sweet without it.

One of my favorite places for soft serve! I got the sweetie, and the honey compliments the subtle milk flavored soft serve so well, making a delicious sweet treat. I liked that this location had water for customers, which was much needed after walking around Little Tokyo. It's located in the center of the Japanese Village Plaza, which has many cute gift shops and restaurants to explore.

This charming location in DTLA is such a great option if you're looking for dessert but want a more natural sugar option, although there's so many options if you're looking for a really sweet soft serve. I love the honeymee because it's delicious soft serve that's got a very creamy flavor but isn't as sweet as your traditional vanilla soft serve. The honeymee is topped with a slight honey drizzle and honeycomb. Today, however, I ordered the matcha affogato which was such a good choice if you're looking for a bit of caffeine but also want the soft serve and honey flavor. The matcha really did pair well, almost as if I ordered a matcha latte with honey as the sweetener, but much more fun!

Favorite ice cream spot near my place, I love the affogato boba and the honey boba. Service is quick and staff is ways friendly even when they are under major pressure. Place is always clean and welcoming love the white walls with few honey colored accents. Not to big so be patient when there's a lot of folk in there it might get tight.

I came here for a snack in the evening. The place was cozy, nestled in a corner that I almost missed. The staff took my order quickly and I was in and out within 15 min, and didn't seem to reinforce their customers to stay which was fine for me. The ice cream was pricey but pretty good, perfect for a quick treat while walking around DTLA

Terrible service. Very rude. Didn't get the flavor I ordered. Prices are far tkk high for the product. Especially when she gets the flavor wrong and then doubles down to tell me it's dalgona coffee when it looks and tastes like caramel after we compared it against my buddy's caramel drink - same flavor and color. Yea ambiance looked nice but it was an oven in there. This place is a pass got me.

Although the location is not ideal since it's right in downtown LA, the ice cream is amazingly good

Such a YUMMY TREAT! Highly recommend the honey affogato ice cream it was absolutely delicious. One of the best deserts I've ever had. What a surprisingly great combo the espresso coffee ice cream and honey make. A must try!

Really good, honeymee is always good for a cold, sweet treat. Perfect sizing too. Got one of their summer specials, the green grape affogato which I was skeptical about, but the milk ice cream and grape jam flavors worked well together. Service was good and the interior was had decent amount of seating.

Small cafe, there is a bit of seating. We just got matcha ice cream with some boba. It was good, nothing stand out. Pretty creamy and sweet, a great dessert to end off the night! Service was kind and patient while we decided our order.

HoneyMee was pretty hidden while on my walk, but I'm glad I found it! Customer service was just okay--nothing bad, nothing great. I got the Darling Matcha, and it was SUCH A GREAT and authentic matcha ice cream. Smooth, rich, and not too sweet--I definitely recommend it!

Definitely can taste the quality ingredients here! Had to ditch my no dairy rule to really appreciate this ice cream. I had the honey affagato and it was wonderful! The honey was amazing, drizzled over the ice cream, and it paired nicely. I didn't realize it had coffee, lol. No wonder I was so hyped at work! This ice cream is fresh and a definite must try!

Brown sugar boba 5/5 - I love honey mee! It's so tasty but the brown sugar was a bit too sweet and I like sweet things. I think they put too much brown sugar syrup and not enough ice cream

So glad its open again! Yummy as always &the place was clean. The people working were nice and it came out fast! The only downside was the cup and spoon were a bit sticky so that made my hand feel nasty.

Honeymee is back!! I saw someone stopped in front of the store that, just a couple weeks ago, looked no where near open. But to my surprise, it was very open!! It was a super hot day and all the stars aligned for this ice cream. I opted for the vanilla ice cream with honey comb. Upon first bite, it was delicious. the ice cream base is similar to the true milk flavor you get at Korean ice cream spots. That combined with the honey, adds a nice sweetness. My only downfall is eating it while walking. Spilled honey a bit everywhere, but otherwise I am super happy to have this open again, especially with summer around the corner!

Ice creams amazing and comes with a cute little honey comb on the top. Taste is divine, however, one take back is the price for soemthing so small. Besides that it's a cute small shop with small food.

Tried ice matcha latte, taste more milk than matcha. Also, there is only dairy milk, no alternative milk options.

I know a soft serve hate to see me coming!! me and my bestie was craving some soft serve after visiting fixins and the new Taco Bell cantina and we stumbled on honeymee. We both got the honeymee, which is their true milk ice cream and a honeycomb chip. Loved it! The service wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. The space is small and a little toasty but you can enjoy your ice cream across the street at the park.

COSTUMER SERVICE here is not it, very rude , unprofessional... i was going to purchase something today but after the costumer service i got today i decided to not spend money here , the guy worker( with long hair ) here seems like he don't want to be there so why even work there ? I didn't know they only take card , and i was going to pay cash and once i took out. A 20$ , his response was " we don't take cash only card " with his eyes rolling back , like umm okay no need to give attitude , anyways just by that type of service made me not want to come back and I'm forsure letting anyone else know who wants to come try this place to NOT waste your time here and your money until this problem is resolved .....

The HONEY AFFOGATO IS TO DIE FOR So rich and delicious. If I were to change one thing it would be a better stronger espresso. I love the rich taste of espresso and this kinda lacked that.

The ice cream is so rich and the flavor so strong but not overpowering. The chocolate sauce paired so nicely with the true milk ice cream. It was a cute little store on the corner in dtla with great and friendly staff.

I marvel at the fact that Honeymee is able to sustain their business even during this pandemic where they remain open AND offer delivery via UberEats...but I am absolutely here for it. After a heavy KBBQ meal at Genwa, a friend and I were craving something sweet, but not overkill after that big meal. Honeymee popped into my mind - I had been once, to their Little Tokyo location, and recall just-right soft serve sweetness with a nice honey topping. We stopped by and they were surprisingly still open (until 9pm even during Covid-19!) and a girl was manning the place solo. She was friendly enough - told us business has been on and off. Well, it didn't disappoint. "Milk ice cream" seems like a redundant term, but it's spot on what you'll experience. That, and the very Asian aesthetics that abound in this little shop down to the presentation of these desserts. I opted for the Signature Honeymee (that bit of honeycomb on top of the delicate drizzle really is something special), while he got the Honey Affogato. (They also do more decadent milkshake options, which I'll have to try one day.) Their standard size here is adorable - looks really small especially for the $5+ price of each, but honestly it's all you really need. And...tastes/feels more special than any other basic version you'd get elsewhere. The perfect sweet ending to a very hot day. Stop by when you have a chance, even after a grocery run next door at Ralph's. Sit in the park across the street, take a load off, reflect on how simple pleasures like these take the edge off of reality. You won't regret it.

Rating the Honeymee in Little Tokyo! I had seen one in Sawtelle so the curiosity stuck with me until one hot Sunday afternoon in downtown LA, found one by walking inside the lil tokyo village. I asked for the most popular and I got a few recommendations but I went with the Honeymee with true milk ice cream and honeycomb. I couldn't wait but take a spoon right as I walked out. I liked the size of the cup, not too much or too little. Just the right treat size after having sushi. I really liked the drizzle of honey on the ice cream and the honeycomb to top it off. One thing I thought was a bit shady was that the true milk ice cream was only served around the cup, leaving the inside hollowed. For $5+ I expected the whole cup to be filled with ice cream :D I'll see if the Sawtelle location does the same serving size.

Corn flakes are back!!! The staff is better and more professional too! Love the sweetie. The menu is still a little limited but as long as corn flakes are back, we cool! Pleaseeee bring back the pound cake!

The i-2, "Sweetie", which contains honey swirls throughout the cup was delicious! They definitely do not skimp out on the honey. My friend's ordered the i-5, "Honeymee," which had less honey but a block of honeycomb on top. For about $5, I thought that this dessert was a little on the smaller end but it was the perfect portion. I quite enjoyed it!

My friends and I all eyed Honeymee as we walked a few doors down to Bodhi Bowl for dinner, knowing that we'd be saving room to grab some dessert right afterwards at Honeymee. We came right after and was able to order and find a table inside to fit all 5 of us. The sizes are not very large for the ice cream, so don't bother splitting a cup with a friend because you WILL be able to finish it. Only problem is that for such a size, it costs quite a bit. I picked one off of their Top 10 list -- the honey affogato -- and it was $4.95 plus tax. The honey affogato has a base of their true milk ice cream with drizzled honey and coffee. I vaguely remember a sign at the register about free cornflakes with an ice cream order, but didn't see any cornflakes with my honey affogato. Despite the missing cornflakes and the fact that halfway through I noticed a slight gap of empty air where there should be some ice cream, it sure hit the spot for an after dinner dessert on a hot day. Just wish there was more for how much I paid! I walked over from Bodhi Bowl and took the Metro Red Line in to downtown LA, so I can't say whether it's best to try your luck with street parking or find a parking lot with reasonable prices (check signs as some advertise a low price but it's only for the first 20 minutes or so!). Oh yea, make sure to check in on Yelp, show them your check-in, and get a 25 cent discount off your order! Every little bit helps!

It's fun,....but I'm from Wisconsin and once you get used to Custard, just plan ice cream is rather boring. Only a couple of tables and customers were sitting, chatting, and taking their time so we ate ours standing up. Still, an interesting concept - I wish them the best.

We stumbled upon a little gem when we stopped in to the Honeymee in downtown LA. As most out-of-towners do (I would guess), my sister and I googled dessert spots after dinner one night. Honeymee popped up and we were both intrigued. I love a good, true milk ice cream and as someone who doesn't love super sweet things, honey ice cream sounded like the perfect thing to satisfy our post-dinner cravings. There are a lot of things to choose from at Honeymee. They have tea, coffee, ice cream, waffles, milkshakes... plus lots of different flavors! Because it was our first Honeymee experience, we went with the classics: the Honeymee (with 100% natural honeycomb chip) and the Sweetie (covered in drizzled honey). It was delicious. You know how you can just tell that an ice cream is legit? This ice cream is legit. I could eat the plain ice cream for days - it was the perfect texture, not too sweet and little icy but perfectly creamy. Then add the subtle sweetness from the honey and I was hooked. The honeycomb chip itself was a fun touch on my Honeymee and I loved all the little attention to details! I am not doing this ice cream justice and I wish I had been able to try other flavors and versions (in a cone?! yes, please!). But alas I will have to wait until I am back on the West Coast to indulge!

I am lactose intolerant, but it doesn't stop me from getting Honeymee from time to time. If that doesn't speak to the quality of the soft serve, I don't know what does. You can get both soft serve or milkshakes at Honeymee. For the soft serve, there are a variety of toppings that you can add for a slight increase in cost. One of my favorites to get is the sweetie, which is soft serve drizzled with honey. Given the name of the place, you can bet that this honey is sweet! The store itself is pretty small, with just a couple of tables. During the day, you can always grab it to go and eat it in Grand Hope Park, which is kitty corner to Honeymee.

This soft serve was good, but nit great. Their calling card is the honey, but there wasn't much at all and the ice cream just tasted like ice milk soft serve. It also isn't cheap for what you get.

Tried the matcha honeymee soft serve and I appreciated how smooth and creamy the soft serve was! There was also a honeycomb chip served on the side. Sadly though I felt the longer it took to eat the ice cream the harder the chip got and I also felt like it left a plastic like coating on my teeth. I think I'm the problem though...why was I eating it so slowly?

If I am anywhere near a Honeymee, Best believe that I will beeline my way to the entrance! There are multiple locations including in downtown and Little Tokyo which are the ones that I frequent often. I haven't explored many of their other options because I tend to go for my all-time favorite which is the matcha affogato. What I love about this place is that the ice cream is naturally sweetened with honey, and you can even add a honeycomb to your delicious sweet treat! Another thing to note is that the Matcha is ceremonial grade, the best of the best! I really want to go back and try the following: - Yuzu affogato - dear chocolate with Ghirardelli chocolate - honey affogato ( honey and coffee)

I'm a self-professed massive fan of Honeymee, but I didn't think they would ever open a location in DTLA given the existing location in Little Tokyo. But whaddya know, they actually went out and did it! Don't have to tell me twice it comes to Honeymee! As per usual, I stuck with the tried and true Honeymee. For me, there's honestly very few desserts that are better than Honeymee's amazing blend of milk ice cream and honeycomb. There's a reason I keep coming back here! I'm just really happy that there's a Honeymee that's walking distance from work. Now I just gotta make sure I don't come here too much!

Came for their grand opening promotions which the staff knew nothing of. Had to show them their own Instagram page as proof. Didn't feel particularly welcomed. Had to step aside and wait for a confirmation via text. No response from manager. But the staff caved. Matcha for me, honey for the husband. I actually have never been to any of the other locations but are their soft serve supposed to be so icy? Reminded me more of the slurpee from 7-11. The milky flavor was great but texture was wayyyy off. Maybe because we were given their first batch of the day and whatever they put in had sat overnight. In addition, the matcha and honey were all at the bottom which made it difficult to eat. The flavors didn't quite mix. Overall - welcome to the neighborhood but don't think I'm returning.

This review is for the two milkshakes I've tried! :p In a world where Carmela's and Salt and Straw are charging $10 for a single milkshake, I had to branch out for other options. I remember back in the day the one that opened by me in Rowland Heights didn't have too many options on the menu but when I saw the menu outside this DTLA location I thought there was much more to choose from and decided to give it a shot. My matcha milkshake was superb and for $5 I have no complaints. It tastes like the authentic green tea ice cream you would get after sushi dinner or from the market. Except even more light and refreshing. Now I can't stop craving it! Boyfriend got the sea salt caramel and he loved it. I had a few sips and thought it was a bit sweet but definitely perfect for a caramel/sweets lover. Definitely could taste a little saltiness which paired well with the milk. Definitely will have to make this a regular dessert rotation!

Absolutely delicious!!! Once inside I like the simplicity of the decor. The ice creams look delicious and the add of a honeycomb is so cute but tastes divine. I was honestly surprised by how quick they made my order, I only took a second to look around the room only to look back and see my treat ready to go! To be fair it was pretty empty lol. I definitely recommend this fresh treat although maybe not too often since it is very sweet haha.

Love this ice cream spot. This was our first visit to the DTLA location, but I work near the Irvine location. We had the sweetie, which is the milk (or matcha) ice cream with honey drizzled on the cup/on top. We also opted to add the honeycomb chip (which I think they should add to the menu)! It's one size, and there aren't tons of options, but we love the basics. Also like that they offer lunch cards. Such a sweet treat!

Simple but delicious. Price point for the smallest cup is what led me to docking a star - because the cup really is tiny and the honeycomb size should be consistent with all customers. Our friend got a huge honeycomb whereas we got a baby size ... not saying give me more. But try to make it close to fair across the board Got the simple vanilla cup with a cube of honeycomb. Vanilla cream was good but kinda a bit icy? Still good Da love. Honeycomb was soft and super sweet and gooey

I had a mini getaway trip by myself.....Walked around outside my hotel and didn't realize there was a Honeymee in DTLA. One of my favorite ice cream spots to visit when I'm in Irvine so I was pleasantly surprised to see it I visited during Halloween~ all the tables were pushed back to prevent people from eating inside because of the pandemic. The one worker was wearing a mask and left the door open for airflow! I got my usual which was the Honeymee w/ the honeycomb *drools* The menu is a tad limited because of covid but still delicious as ever The employee also gave me candy because of the holiday super cute :)

Vanilla ice cream made with with real milk and then that gets honey poured over the top. Very simple concept, but it seems to work. The sweetie was the choice and all I can really say was that it was refreshing and different and tasted pretty good. A new kind of treat for me for about $5 a pop.

SATISFIES THE SWEET TOOTH CRAVINGS... Diabetes, anyone? If you're in DTLA riding around in your electric scooter and hankering for a quick sweet tooth craving, I highly recommend making a quick pit stop at Honeymee off W. 9th Street. Honeymee is a family-owned, kosher certified honey farm that produces fresh "organic" Californian milk. They don't add any artificial colors or flavors to our ice cream. It's alllllllllll the real deal here, folks. In addition, their raw honey and honeycombs are 100% PURE and au-natural! It comes from a local, certified bee farm and they handle their award-winning honey with the utmost care. I definitely felt the true appreciation of food, animals, and nature from this establishment after reading more about how their food is prepared. I dig that! So, their menu is split up into two categories: "True Milk Ice Cream" or "Honey Milk Shake". I decided to opt in for a "True Milk Ice Cream" experience when popping my Honeymee cherry that day. As I perused the menu, I stumbed upon their Honey Affogato, and immediately knew that was the one. First of all, I LOVE affogatos in any way, shape or form. Secondly, I was also interested in trying their honey since that was what they were also known by. The experience was incredible. The ice cream was soft and creamy - with the highest quality. People do know me as kind of an ice cream snob who loves and eats Three Twins, Clover, and Straus ice creams on a daily. Honeymee, in my opinion, was in those rankings of high-quality ice cream. So about that honey though - I didn't know how the honey would initially taste at first. In all honestly, I don't like to put honey on a lot of things, mainly because it's very sweet to begin with - and I'm just not down for that. But knowing this honey was high-quality honey and is also known for its positive health benefits, such as increasing antioxidant levels and promoting digestive health - I told myself this would only be a positive experience so get over it, Kate! The honey drizzle was a perfect amount, which also kept my order from being totally engulfed in honey flavor. I was able to successfully taste all the different flavors in one scoop - ice cream, coffee, AND honey.
