Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

I was a little taken back after reading the reviews. I ordered via door dash and the food was pretty decent. Grab Rangoon was good, general tsaos had a nice crunch and the sauce was good. I did notice however sometimes it did taste burnt. I noticed another post about the burnt taste it was horrible but threw it off a bit. Thinking they let the sauce sit and bubble too long and it got burnt to the pan. Overall my meal was pretty good for delivery Chinese in the area.

I looked up Chinese restaurants. This was the closest to me and their prices were lower. I was very worried I was looking for trouble by going for the less expensive. Not even close. The food was excellent. The employees were very friendly. Parking is horrific. Location seems to be a scary part of town. That said, there were so many people in the restaurant as well as standing outside, who apparently live in the area. It looks to me the locals all love this place. And, for good reason. Great prices and good food.

Visiting the area I looked at various restaurants. Same menu, much higher prices at other Chinese restaurants caused me to pause. No need. This food was less money AND DELICIOUS. People are lovely and friendly. Locals were in and out as I waited for my order and all raved about their food choices.

Had the spare tips and pork fried rice. I thought it was delicious, the portions were good, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the the egg roll was super oily but hay it's greasy Chinese food rite. Sweet tea with lemon was pretty good too and customer service was decent too.

I’m not big on Chinese food nomore like I used to be I eat it every once in a while. This spot got some good food haven’t let me down yet my go too is chicken wings pork fried rice

I don’t eat Chinese often but baybee I promise this the one. Definitely will be the only one we order from. We ordered a bunch of different items for everyone to share. Everything was great!

I've tried many places in and around the valley this is so far my favorite. If you're a fan of takeout Chinese food with eggrolls with some grease this is the spot, if the eggroll got no grease I don't want it. I typically order wonton soup, house lo mein, fried dumplings, eggrolls and spear ribs all of the above pass the fatass test, also relatively better priced than most takeout spots, they've had me as a customer weekly for the past few. Sometimes they got what im assuming is one of their kids helping with the register, they clearly don't give a shit about being there but I'm able to look past it so don't let it throw you off, i go to takeout spots for the food not the customer service. However, the lady who usually works the register is awesome every time I go in whether shes working the register or not she's busting her ass getting things done clearly a hard worker and someone who cares so if she's handling your order don't worry it's gonna be delicious and correct.

This is my go to place for Chinese food. Been coming here for years the food is very tasteful and prices are reasonable. I recommend it.

Best Chinese spot in Waterbury hands down. I have no complaints. Food is rarely good these days

Food arrived cold and with surprise metal in my shrimp and broccoli. Sliced right through my gums. Do not recommend..

Takes my order, charges my card, calls me back 1 hour and a half later saying my address is too far which is a lie I ordered from there the previous night. Rude customer service. Not worth it.

I hate to do this I really do, but this is one chinese restaurant I would avoid at all cost. Just moving to the neighborhood I was unaware of the stigma this place had and do not plan on returning anytime soon. So in the back of the restaurant is a Pigeon Coop filled with dozens of pigeons heading to slaughter. I tried the food before I found this out and I ordered Wonton Egg Drop Soup and Crab Rangoon during a particularly cold Nor Easter. The CRab Rangoon tasted like it was heated up from the night before and tasted stale. Secondly the soup had a funny taste to it, spit the food out, and after my meal one of my neighbors told me that the restaurant sold pigeon meat and served it to their customers so I came to the conclusion that I was . I would recommend to you all avoid this place at all cost. AVOID HONG KONG RESTAURANT!!!!

the food is good the noodles and the shrimp fried rice is good BUTT the Chinese white rice is AWFUL

Not impressed. Food tasted, smelled old. Crab rangoon was a thick chewy wonton. Cold egg roll. Funky tastin chopped pork in the fried rice too.

Place is average Chinese food. Used to come here all the time untill I noticed something strange about the meats. Then went around back of the restaurant and seen a bunch of pigeons in cages. Enjoy your chicken/duck/pigeon lo mein...

Woman rude as fuck... place very dirty.... food sucks.......... staff and owners miserable

The food here is good and they make it quickly and fresh in front of you. The prices are reasonable and the delivery is quick. The combination specials are loaded with food and more than enough for two people.

Love this place. Food is always on point. Great catering options as well. Owner gave me 15% off my order. Lady on the register knows how I like the food. Spicy!!!

This place has some of the best food in the city BUT not only do they take way too long to deliver (we live 5 minutes away and takes an hour) and have little to no parking for takeouts but they have either forgotten food or sent the wrong thing more than once. It they got their service in order they would own the customers here but right now it basically sucks.

Food was warm when it got delivered and the delivery was very ungrateful of the tip I gave him. They need to find a delivery man that's not so greedy and disrespectful because next time he won't get anything.

Fast delivery, taste is good. It's a good choice if you are looking for a fast service, and best dishes I think are boneless ribs and fried wings.

So I just ordered from them they forgot to add my crab rangoon in the bag when I called back they said I needed to go get it or basically or im screwed then i called again and the women yelled at me and hung up on me. Then i called back and threatened to have cops go get my money then the changed their tone but was still extremely rude and told me fuck off. The food is garbage and have pigeons in cages in the back so I'm not sure what that's about makes me wonder. The food is always oily and everything taste old and they have all round terrible customer service when they driver finally came back to bring the missing items the driver was rude and threatened us I will makesure no one gets food from here again. Dont go ! Then I read the reviews on google and alot of people complained about them doing the same but they never got their missing items or money back. I dont play that. This place should be closed.

The food is pretty decent, everything else HORRIBLE!! I could literally walk there and it takes them over an hour every time and they quote me 30 mins. I've received the wrong order a few times and when I call back they make it seem as if it was MY fault, even though I order the same exact thing every time. Next time we'll be exploring other, hopefully better, options!
