"Disneyland in Hong Kong is ideal for families with young kiddos. As the smallest of Disney's worldwide parks, it'seasily walkable, and thetram service canget you where you want to go. Character meet-and-greet photo sessions are scheduled throughout the day and so are parades and shows like the 30-minute Festival of the Lion King , with acrobats and fire dancers playing the roles of Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa. The park is divided into themed sections: In Grizzly Gulch, rides and shows follow a Wild West frontier theme; in Fantasyland, the gentler mood focuses on Cinderella, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White; Tomorrowland looks to the future with Buzz Lightyear, Iron Man, and Star Wars characters taking center stage; and Adventureland offers a jungle river cruise and Tarzan's tree house. The park makes a great day out."

8 Things to Know About Hong Kong Disneyland’s New Castle

"The redesign of Hong Kong Disneyland's central castle is a major transformation from the former Sleeping Beauty Castle to the new Castle of Magical Dreams. This reimagined castle celebrates Disney's future and diversity, featuring 13 spires and towers dedicated to different Disney princesses, such as Moana, Mulan, Ariel, Pocahontas, and more. The construction used a unique modular approach, allowing large sections to be completed off-site and assembled on-site. The castle integrates the natural beauty of Lantau Island with trees, shrubs, and vines, creating a 'living castle.' The design reflects global culture and diversity, moving beyond the typical Euro-centric style."

If you're planning to visit Hong Kong Disneyland, try to avoid weekends if possible — it’ll be less crowded and more enjoyable. And if you happen to get good weather, the experience will be even better, especially with a beautiful sunset! Overall, I’d say it’s definitely worth a visit.

First and most importantly, unfortunately, the restrooms are not clean 👎🏼. Secondly, the park is very small and doesn’t have many activities. We didn’t see any Disney princesses at all—only Mickey Mouse. The fireworks are not daily. As for the restaurants listed on the Disneyland app, some claim to offer vegetarian options, but when you arrive, there are no vegetarian choices available. Most of the rides are for children. Let me know if you'd like any refinements!

We had an absolutely magical time at Hong Kong Disneyland! From the moment we stepped through the gates, we were transported into a world of wonder, fun, and imagination. The park is beautifully maintained, with every detail thoughtfully designed to bring Disney stories to life. The rides and attractions were fantastic—especially Mystic Manor, which was truly one-of-a-kind, and Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, which gave us a great thrill! The parades and shows were full of energy and charm, and the character encounters were such a treat, especially for the kids (and the kids at heart!). We were also impressed by the friendly and helpful staff, who made sure everything ran smoothly. The park was very clean, and everything felt safe and well-organized. Food options were great too—we enjoyed both the classic theme park snacks and some delicious Asian-inspired meals. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or even solo, Hong Kong Disneyland is a must-visit destination. It’s the perfect blend of magic, fun, and cultural charm. We can’t wait to go back!

Magical Experience at Hong Kong Disneyland! Hong Kong Disneyland is an absolute dream come true! From the moment we stepped into the park, we were immersed in a world of enchantment, joy, and unforgettable memories. The attractions are thrilling yet family-friendly, with standout rides like Mystic Manor and Hyperspace Mountain delivering next-level excitement. The park’s attention to detail is incredible—every corner is beautifully themed, and the cast members go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. We loved meeting our favorite Disney characters, and the parades (especially Mickey and the Wondrous Book) were spectacular, filled with dazzling performances and music. Dining options were fantastic, with a great mix of Western and Asian cuisine. The Royal Banquet Hall was a highlight, offering delicious meals in a regal setting. Plus, the merchandise was so cute—we couldn’t resist bringing home some exclusive souvenirs! What truly sets Hong Kong Disneyland apart is its intimate size—it’s easy to navigate, with shorter wait times compared to other Disney parks. The fireworks show at the end of the night was the perfect finale, leaving us in complete awe. Whether you're a Disney fan or just looking for a fun-filled day, this park delivers magic at every turn. We can’t wait to return! *****5 stars without a doubt

My first time at Hong Kong Disneyland — I was so excited! 🏰✨ Getting there was super convenient, not difficult at all. 🚆🗺️ The food inside was quite expensive 😅 and honestly, the taste didn’t really match the price. But when it comes to the rides and the overall experience — I’d give it a 10 out of 10, no deductions! 🎢🌟 And during the fireworks show… I almost cried. 🥹💖 It was so beautiful, so emotional — truly a heart-touching moment. One thing I loved the most was the new Frozen-themed ride in the latest zone! ❄️👑 It made me fall even deeper in love with Elsa — she’s just amazing! And Olaf? He’s too cute to handle! ⛄️💙 I’m really happy I got to experience this once in my life. ✨🎇 Such a precious memory. 🤍

They claim that - this is The Happiest place in the world. And it is. Nice place to visit with kids. It was a family vacation for us. We enjoyed every ride. The kids had atmost fun. This was way before the hurricane hit this city. This was a memorable trip for us!! We walked the whole park extensively!! MUST BUY - PREMIER ACCESS TICKET

Google
Magical as always the is is the best show of all times ! Make sure you prepare for a hot sunny day and highly recommend the fast track pass for the 8 most people attraction, a bit pricy by totally worth it particularly if you are with kids ! Don’t forget to downloads the app !

Super great memories with family. A day wouldnt be enough to slowly munch on everything. I suggest before going inside, decide on where you want to ride and take a map with you or else you will end up walking and walking until your feet hurts. We were able to ride RC Racer,

Yelp
My first visit to Hong Kong Disneyland was several years ago. I'm an annual pass holder now and I really like this theme park. I heard all of this negativity and kind of still do. I think a lot of it is from people that may not have even been here before though. I've heard someone say that HKDL doesn't have a castle, when in fact the HK castle is much larger and nicer than DL's. I've heard how HKDL is the smallest of the Disney parks. I looked into this and someone even did thorough research on the park sizes. They found that you can't go by Disney's numbers because they strangely aren't measuring the same things for each park. For example, some figures are for the theme park, while others are for the whole resort. After doing more accurate analysis, you'll see that HKDL is actually in the middle of pack for Disney parks (sizewise). Anyhow, HKDL has a great original feel. A lot of it has that nice familiar feel but they are able to still give it its own life.

Yelp
I paid $100 USD for the premium experience & fireworks area because I didn't know how long the lines would be on Christmas day. On average in the AM it was 10-15 mins because IMO everyone was doing their meet & greets. Frozen was probably the longest with a 40 mins wait. With the premier pass it was just a few minutes. Caramel popcorn was the best thing I ate in the Park. The chocolate covered churros were dry and overcooked. Corndogs are regular size and not the US American jumbo dogs. Turkey legs had no smoky smell and looked baked so I skipped on it. The 20 oz sodas all felt under carbonated but that might be a HK preference. Smaller Park experience with not as many merch stores as I thought they'd have. Had a Sea World feel to it with most of the items being spread throughout the Park and not themed to the location. When we left and planned on coming back the cast member said they were not stamping hands but instead to take a selfie if front of the Park with the Mickey floral. Made us laugh because it seemed so archaic. When we returned another cast member did not honor it and scanned our tickets again.

Yelp
Did not have the best experience on my first visit to Hong Kong disneyland. To start upon arrival I was told there was a T8 Typhoon I had not warning or update from disneyland or the resort little sad as I had a reservation and everything. The day I had planned on visiting the Typhoon was a big problem resulting in the park opening late and me not being able to use my early admission ticket. I was staying at the the Disney Explorers Lodge the check in staff had recommended me save my tickets for the following day so I would get the full value, not mentioning I would have to pay a upgrade fee from level 1 to level 2. So the day of the typhoon I bought a same day ticket to save the pre bought one and early admission like the check in staff recommended. Sadly the typhoon was very mild barely and rain or winds but all the outside attractions were closed ( i was bummed). The next day I get ready to use my early park admission but on arrival they said I have level one and needed level 2. I let them know what the hotel resort told me and they said sorry we cant help you need to pay the upgrade. I was furious, your partner resort hotel told me I did not need to pay and now your charging me. I showed the receipt for the day before letting them know i didn't get to ride all the rides and now i have to pay even more. Laurel who is guest services and states she is the supervisor was of no assistance. Charged me more and tried compensating by offering one free ride pass. Thanks but I'm sorry it's not good enough. Thankfully upon returning to the explores lodge the check in supervisor was able to bring the Disney magic back and refund me my level 2 upgrade that was unnecessary he understood the error that was caused and fixed immediately as should Laurel from guest services should have. There was many people having the same issue at disney guest services all I can say is book with the resorts directly and take the issue to them they are more problem solvers then disney guest services. Disney please learn from this and do better, and talk to laurel about the proper way to resolve this problem like explores lodge did.

Yelp
A quick MTR ride from Hong Kong to Lantau Island this iteration of the Magic Kingdom is sized down from Anaheim or Orlando, but a good value in comparison. Featuring some unique rides, food and Souvenirs there's easily enough to spend a day doing here. No pirates. No haunted mansion. No goofy. No pluto. A bit too much Frozen and Marvel, and the longest line was only 35 minutes.

Yelp
Tickets were pretty cheap, only $80 per person, but you definitely need to spend more than a day there to do everything.

Yelp
Hong Kong Disneyland is tiny compared to all the other Disney locations around the world. This isn't a bad thing but the reality of space in Hong Kong. Growing up I didn't get to go to Disneyland like other kids because I had to study a lot. Sucks being dumb huh? Lol. As I got older, I realized my dad hasn't been to one his entire life so I decided to surprise him and take him to one. We even ordered a Mickey shirt that said "DAD" and some Mickey ears prior to going. Mink and I got Mickey attire too so we could take a nice photo together. Yes, I'm super Chinese and ordered it early to save some money. It's crazy expensive if we purchased in Disneyland lol. At his age, this Disneyland is perfect because he gets to visit and not have to exhaust himself trying to see everything. Thankfully the weather cooperated with us long enough on the day we took him to visit. The Disney themed MTR car was a nice touch taking guests into the park. Cost to enter varies on the day you go and if you're a Hong Kong resident or not. We were able to walk around the entire park, pick up some souvenirs, ride 4 rides and he got to try their famous turkey leg. The last ride was when the weather started to turn on us and it started to pour. Perfect timing as we were already planning to leave. Yes, we got rained on (mainly me because I let my dad, sister and Mink use the umbrellas) but it was worth it to see my dad's face visiting Disneyland for the first time. Priceless memory and awesome place to visit.

Yelp
I never thought this Disneyland is small. Only this time when I brought my kids that I realized it. You can finish all the rides in like 4 hours since the wait is like 10 - 20 minutes. Except for the Frozenland which just opened that the line is an hour. I am not complaining though. My kids have enjoyed their visit and even went twice on a same ride. We waited for the fireworks display. (Which I never did on my previous visits). And It was magical and beautiful. The highlight of our visit. We enjoyed our meal. I tried the Hulk Burger. And It was filling and big. The Theme Park is accessible. *If you're using the Sunny Bay Express better get a ticket when you just arrived. Going to MTR is a zoo just after the fireworks display.

Yelp
I kept hearing that Hong Kong Disneyland is small but I was able to spend the whole day there and still had stuff I didn't get to. I purchased the early entry to get into World of Frozen and it was totally worth it to beat the crowd. I got my ticket on Klook and for $3 more, I was able to get the promo ticket that came with a shoulder plush of choice. I visited on a weekday and most rides had a wait of 30 minutes or less aside from the Frozen rides. Aside from the Frozen boat ride, my favorites were Grizzly Mountain and Mystic Manor. Cast Members weren't as friendly as those in Tokyo, I'd say more similar to those in the States. Definitely stay for the fireworks show at the end of the day but be patient because everyone heads to the exit and MTR at the same time. The park in general can use better crowd control after shows.

Yelp
The girlfriend insisted on coming to Disneyland, but honestly, I was lukewarm about it. After all, we are Californians and lived within a 35 min drive to Disneyland but didn't have the desire to go as i am not into the Disney magic. The girlfriend said this is HK Disney and you only pay 1/3 of the costs & can eat Chinese food instead of the cold burgers & fries they serve you in Anaheim. Turns out i had a good time today. The park was clean. The food was decent. The staff was friendly. Everything is much cheaper even though I was forced to spend money I didn't want to spend on souvenirs & gifts. Sighhh.

Yelp
Writing this from the point of view of an American traveling to HK. Came here yesterday with party of 2, we bought tickets online directly through the HK Disney website which gave us QR codes for entry. Price was $799 HKD (about $102 US dollars) per person since it was a Friday (usually in the $600s if you go on a less busy lower tier weekday). Overall had a really positive experience, we arrived at around 11:15am and stayed until closing, and were able to do all of the following: Mystic Manor Hyperspace Mountain Ant man and wasp Iron man experience Playhouse in the woods Frozen Ever After Wandering Oaken Sliding Sleighs It's a Small World Festival of the King show Mickey and the Wondrous Book Winnie the Pooh Fireworks (but we left a bit earlier to beat the exit crowd rush). So overall, I think you could do the entire park in 1 day if you're a good planner and fast walker, 2 days if you want to do every single show and ride and meet all the characters with your kids. For me as a young adult, 1 day was enough. Pros: - REALLY WELL DONE SHOWS - the shows beat out the rides for sure - the production level of Mickey and the Wondrous book and the Festival of the Lion King were Broadway-level in talent and splendor, strongly recommend attending these. And they're mostly in English too! - really impressive signage throughout the park in a "we are not liable" sense lol, lots of warnings about drops and who should/shouldn't ride rides - pretty good map and HK Disney app - strongly recommend downloading this because it has realtime wait times for all the rides, scheduled showtimes for entertainment, and can show you where you are in the park with the map - free WiFi in the park - really delicious food options that were served quickly - we had sushi at the royal banquet hall and I had udon at comet cafe, all came out very quickly and were affordable park food options compared to Disneyland in America. The soft serve was really good - really kind and helpful cast members/staff. I had a moment where I didn't book a standby pass for my husband for playhouse in the woods, and the cast member helped me do it on the spot and let him in even though it was for a later time, so we could experience it together! And most of the cast members (especially those helping on rides) appeared multi-lingual too, speaking Cantonese, Mandarin and English - very air-conditioned indoor facilities, and every bathroom I used was pretty clean (much cleaner than American Disney parks) - some unique attractions not at other Disney parks, including Frozen Land and Mystic Manor, both of which were very well done. - everything is a close walk from one ride to the next, since the park size is pretty small compared to other Disney parks (smallest in the world I think) - so this is good if you have slow kids or are taking older family members - very accessible by taxi, MTR public transportation, etc. doesn't cost too much to get here from the main Hong Kong island area Cons: - not really a true con - but you may be disappointed if you're used to Florida DisneyWorld because this place is small - small castle and small everything. - my husband is a tall white man and he was pretty uncomfortable on most of the seated rides, since they're not really made for anyone who's close to 6ft tall or taller (tough to put the bar down on the coaster rides like space mountain and the sleighs - the sliding sleigh ride was 15 seconds long, way too short and not thrilling at all (and overall the rides are not "thrilling" despite the descriptions - but this in comparison to American expectations and this is a first world problem. The Chinese and Filipino tourists around me all thought it was very thrilling :)) - if you're mostly a Western traveler, the decreased personal space can be tough, and it can get very crowded and feel claustrophobic in the small spaces (even if the park isn't crowded and wait times are short) - not really a con to Disneyland's fault, but be prepared to come with an umbrella for the hot sun and the random bouts of raining Overall, for the price of ~$100 US dollars per person, it was a pretty fun day and I wouldn't mind coming again - the small size actually made the park easier to do in one day with less pressure to over-exert yourself, you can really take your time and stroll. It's beautiful overall and the food was good, and we stayed ultimately for the entertainment shows. Definitely recommend coming on a weekday so you can make the most of it!

Yelp
I believe Hong Kong's Disney is the smallest in the world but it's still worth checking out. Especially with the new Frozen land that we didn't get to see this visit! There's also a huge fanbase for Duffy here so expect a ton of merchandise for the bear. We bought both the ticket and the Disney Premiere Access online on Klook prior to our visit. We went on a Sunday and I was so worried that the park would be packed. I'm not sure what the reason was but it was completely empty! Maybe it had something to do with the typhoon two days ago or the fact that school was starting the next day, but if I had to wait in lines with the August heat, I don't know how long I would've lasted in the park. Because of the nearly empty park, the longest we had to wait for any ride was 10 minutes! Unheard of for the parks back in the States. We didn't even use our Premiere Access for anything because there was no point. So I highly recommend just buying the access pass when you're in the park and you can assess whether or not you even need it. Most of the major rides are just completely unique to Hong Kong's Disney or it's a variation of other park's. Basically everything on the Disney Premiere Access is a must-do and they'll be the most popular ones too so plan ahead. The park does a relaxed rope drop, meaning the park partially opens in the morning and slowly opening the rest an hour later. Because of this, go to Marvel rides first and then travel the park counter-clockwise. Easily doable in a day, at least for us we were able to because of the fast lines. Food was alright...we didn't get to try anything that stood out. There's supposed to be pretty good (and expensive) dim sum in the hotel area that requires advance reservations. There was a dole whip/strawberry float that was pretty good but I'm not sure if it's a seasonal item.
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
tl;dr: Buy your tickets on Klook for a discount and download the DLHL app to get live wait times. Skip Premier Access and make sure to watch Wonderous Book and ride Mystic Manor. Easy to travel to from the MTR. From Central station, it takes about 30min. For those used to US prices, Disneyland HK is much more affordable (~$80 USD) and you can get cheaper tickets on Klook. Also, there's less planning ahead you need as the park is smaller (can probably walk from Main Street to Frozen in 10minutes, which is the furthest line) and lines are much shorter. On busy days, lines might be 30minutes, but 5-20min may be more the average. There is no Genie+, but Premier Access that isn't worth it given the shorter overall wait times. We made the unfortunate decision to go on one of the rainiest days in HK during our stay (amber and red alerts throughout the day). Surprisingly, most rides were open including the outdoor coasters. The silver lining was that lines were never longer than 5 minutes. We went with a toddler and even in the rain, we were able to hit most of the highlights in 6 hours. Highlights include Mickey and the Wonderous Book (6/5!): Simply wow!!! The quality of this production was near Broadway and a nice tribute to the classic Disney movies. It's also inside, which is a welcome escape from the humidity/heat. Do yourself a favor and make sure you attend it. Mystic Manor (5/5): Smooth trackless ride that was entertaining from the very beginning. It might be a bit scary for some kids. Ant-man and the Wasp (5/5): Upgraded version of the Buzz Lightyear game. I liked how much easier it was to aim and to score higher (hit the triangle targets). I wished there was a grade at the end to see how you compare to others. Low lights include Parade (0/5): Parades are usually a highlight for a Disney visit, but this was probably the worst I've ever seen. The float was 3 attached cars and lasted about 1 minute. I'm glad we showed up last minute, but I would have been quite upset if I were one of those waiting 30+min for prime seating. I'm hoping it was just due to the weather, but it would been a more magical visit if Disney just cancelled the parade. Jungle Cruise (1/5): What makes this cruise enjoyable in the US are all the pun jokes that the Skipper tells. However, our guide just spoke in Cantonese with the jokes falling flat. The speakers weren't even loud enough to hear most of what she was saying clearly. I would skip this ride. Overall, the Wonderous Book show was worth the ticket price alone. There's still the Disney magic throughout that aligns with the larger parks in the US. There's a lot of reviews comparing to Ocean Park, but the experiences and target audience are different. The latter is more of an aquarium/zoo meets carnival and tailors more to older kids/teenagers as most "rides" have a height limit. It's also less accessible friendly especially the Summit that has more incline. Disney is certainly more "magical" and the layout makes it easier to explore the park at a leisurely place.

Yelp
Terrible experience. Have to use their system to get a reservation. Most CCs have two step authentication. Tried three different credit cards. All were rejected. Tried to use their chat. Told me to delete all cookies and try again. Tried twice more using both Chrome and Edge. Neither worked. Gave up after wasting 1 hour of my life. Bad system Disney. Figure it out. Sean F

Yelp
The smallest Disneyland Theme Parks out there and also has different characters from what I grew up knowing. Asides from Mickey and Minnie, there are other characters I have never heard of or seen in my life. The food here is mediocre at best and the rides here only have one car, whereas other parks have at least two or three to get the line moving. So expect to be waiting an extremely long time at each ride because there's only one car per attraction.

Cecelia F.

Yelp
You are required to buy tickets online. We tried putting in three different credit cards that were three different types and the website rejected us. We tried again and again for over and hour. We gave up. Website is terrible. We had the same problem in Paris too.

Yelp
A much smaller Disneyland than what I'm used to in the US. But just as fun! Brought my wife here as part of our honeymoon in January. It's been her dream to go to Disneyland and this is a good way to introduce her to the magic of Disney! I'm sure anyone can enjoy this location in a day and having the magic pass helps cut through the long lines of famous rides.

Yelp
Finally I got to visit Hong Kong Disneyland over the weekend! Frozen village is a must visit! They have two captivating frozen rides in the park. First is a boat ride and the second ride is a roller coaster venturing into Elsa's ice palace. Overall I think being there for 9 hours was enough to explore everything in one day.
google avatar

Jackie F.

Yelp
Pro: Barely a line anywhere, new castle, easy to get around, Sunny Bay express. Con: I can see Frozenland, but it's not open yet. Still my favorite over sea park. It's just easy to get in and out from HKIA or even the city. Tokyo may have better quality CMs and rides, but also comes with mass lines and stress from the size of DL and SEA. Not HKD, this is a perfect relaxation resort to kick back in. Unique rides - Iron, Ant Man and Wasp, Mystic Manor, Grizzly Gulch, 3 language jungle cruise. The food in this park are still top notch, especially the firework show view packages.

Yelp
I just want to say that I LOVE DISNEY! I've been to all of the parks now except Paris and Shanghai now. I was so excited to add HK Disney to my list. I didn't have high expectations because I knew it would be smaller than Disneyland in Anaheim and Disneyworld but I was pleasantly surprised how much they packed into a such a small space. I loved that so many people were dressed up and wearing Disney gear just like the parks in the states. My highlights: 1. Loved Toy Story land because it's so unique and I just loved the decorations and how unique it was. I loved the unique headbands like the slinky dog and Rex ones that I've never seen before. 2. Items are so much cheaper than in the USA. The headbands are $150-250HKD which as like $15-30 USD. I haven't seen anything less than $50-60 USD here in the states. I ended up buying 3! 3. Hyperspace Mountain was such a pleasant surprise that it had a theme! I've never experienced that before and wasn't expected it. 4. Mystic Manor was by far my favorite ride! It wasn't scary and had more of a mysterious theme and had an actual story line which a lot of Disney rides don't have a clear plot. 5. Grizzly Bear Runaway Railroad was also mega fun! My gf literally screamed out mid ride "Man this ride is so short! It's shorter than the Thunder Mountain railroad at Disneyland (US)" and then the ride continues which was so unexpected! I had so much fun on it! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, the theme pack can definitely be done in 1 day. I love how festive everyone is at the park and the park items are a lot cheaper than the US. The "common" food items aren't as good here however BUT the restaurant foods are AMAZING but unfortunately they aren't in the park and at the resorts/hotels (which can be a good and bad thing as you can eat there without a park ticket!). I had so much fun here and I'll definitely be back! Not as much do to as the US parks but also I didn't feel like it was lacking in any way and better than most theme parks I've been to. Must do if you're a Disney Fan.

Yelp
Old photos! Just wanted to post before I forgot. The ice cream was so good I miss it! Rides were fire. Not sure why most rides were in mandarin... Hong Kong is Cantonese... you can see the communist china takeover. ANYWAYS this is a place loved by all locals but it is small and you will finish quickly. You don't need to speak Chinese however, 最好至少有一位識講中文嘅人為細路仔翻譯一些遊樂設施中嘅情節,例如漫威鋼鐵俠遊樂設施!!

Yelp
A lot of walking. Not good for handicapped people. Limited motorized coach stops to take you around this huge complex. park Marshall's are sometimes helpful. You can't get to the rides unless you walk very far. Not coming back here

Yelp
I had Hong Kong Disneyland as one of the places that I wanted to go to, but I was fighting the rainy season and the humidity of late May Hong Kong. It just so happened that it was the first day of my trip that I came over here (use the MTR stations to get to the Disneyland Line, and the train itself is kinda cool because it is Disney themed with the Mickey ears as the handles and Mickey ear-themed windows, along with statues of Disney characters as well). Enter and enjoy! I feel like the walk from the station to the park entrance was just a tad underwhelming, with just a water feature in the front and then park entrance is right there- felt like they could add a little more Disney.. music? After getting a ticket (yeah I bought directly there, but you can also get on Klook for a tad cheaper), it got more familiar. The front and town hall area have the Disney feel, and even a Starbucks too (yo Starbucks, where is the You Are Here Mug for here :P ) , but going in, Sleeping Beauty Castle is small, tiny, and covered LOL. They're currently remodeling it but you can tell the size of the original... not that great. I went over and picked a random direction to head towards and off I went! I had heard amazing things about Haunted Mansion .. I mean Mystic Manor but it turns out I went the exact opposite direction of where that was (It was in the SW side, I went NE). Tomorrowland it was! Their version of what used to be Astro Blasters (does that even exist anymore whoops) was now Ant Man and the Wasp. I feel they made it easier for people here because my number was way higher than I expected it to be haha. Iron Man Experience was also in the area and took you around Hong Kong with Tony Stark; going to the ride was a lot of fun because it had a lot of decorations and prototypes throughout. There was a Tech Showcase here that I didn't make because it was one of the longer lines here. Oh, lines on the day I went were mostly less than 15 minutes, so going on the ride and re-riding them were really fun and made things enjoyable. Hyperspace Mountain was nearby and even that ride was less than 15 minutes and no discernable differences here. There was also an "It's a Small World After All" that actually didn't go too too bad, along with a Winnie the Pooh ride which was pretty fun (wish they had a Peter Pan's Flight to go with it here, but alas no). They have a Toy Story area if you walk far enough in the back and the only ride that intrigued me was the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop (this area is mostly for the children). The last areas here are for Jungle Cruise, Mystic Manor, Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars (which was not working when I went). Do ride Mystic Manor, it's pretty interesting! The other things here (the shows, experiences, etc), I didn't prioritize but I did hear that I should have tried Mickey's Philharmonic as a show. Oh wells. Lunch here was kinda cool; they have a mess hall area where you can get food! I had an abalone fried rice which was a bit overcooked for I wanna say $20. Hahhahaha. Yeah, HKDL is kinda small and you can get through maybe in 3-4 hours, depending on how long the lines are. I think I was in around 11a, out after the 3p parade, so I was there for a half day. It's kinda cool not having to wait in long lines and just being able to go to whatever ride you want. However, Disney did cheapen out here and now with Shanghai Disneyland open to mainland China, droves of people are gonna head there (it's way bigger over there). They're trying to expand and make new areas/lands here, along with expanding the castle, but it'll be a few years away. Might be back though. Probably. It's a cool and fun way to spend a half day or day here. They also do have a dim sum place, Crystal Lotus, so I do have a few things I need to do when I come back haha.

Yelp
The highlight of my trip in Hong Kong! I love being able to experience different Disneyland parks in other countries. Out of the other Disneylands I have been to so far, Hong Kong is my favorite! First, this Disneyland park is the least crowded that I have been to. This made my time here so much more enjoyable. I believe the longest I had to wait was about 15 minutes and that was only for the Cinderella Carousel. All other rides were about 10 minutes or less! Not to mention, the shows were great. I highly recommend the Lion King show! Secondly, all the employees my boyfriend and I encountered were friendly and welcoming. We received little freebies from staff members throughout the day such as stickers, pins, and postcards, while others were extremely helpful in answering our questions. Additionally, everyone spoke English. Lastly, I thought the food the park offered were good and reasonably priced, and that is also the same for merchandise. I was able to snag a new set of sequenced Minnie ears for $13 USD. I recently checked out the Disney online store for the same exact ears and they were going for almost $30! Although this park is my favorite so far, there are some drawbacks. Compared to other Disneyland parks, Hong Kong Disneyland is smaller. As a result, there aren't as many rides, so you can easily cover the entire park in half a day. Also during our time here, the Cinderella castle was under construction, so they did not have the firework show. Lastly, unlike other Disneyland parks, this one closes fairly early. All in all, my boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Hong Kong Disneyland! I would highly recommend opening up some time in your trip to check it out!

Yelp
We visited Hong Kong Disney on our first full day in Hong Kong. It was a huge priority for us. I have now been to the Disneyand in Hong Kong, Orlando, Anaheim, and Tokyo DisneySea for some perspective and this is my take from HK Disney... (+) The least crowded Disney property I have been to by far. This made the whole experience so much more enjoyable for me! We were able to casually stroll through the park and never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes at a time for any ride during the entire day! Oddly enough, the Winnie the Pooh ride had the longest wait for us! lol We were able to ride several rides multiple times! Really adds so much to the fun factor here! (+) All employees were friendly and helpful and all of the ones we interacted with spoke perfect English! Made it so easy to get answers to questions! (+) We had so much fun on Hyperspace Mountain (a must for any Star Wars fan!), Mystic Manor (although I still prefer the Haunted Mansion), Iron Man Experience, and especially Big Grizzly Mountain Mine Cars(so much fun we rode 3 times!) (-) The park is small by Disney standards. This could be one of the reasons why were able to ride several rides multiple times. We literally walked around the park twice and spent maybe a total of 7 hours at the park for the day. Tokyo DS was at least 3 times the size!(with about 8 times the crowd! :P) (-) Large areas of wasted space IMO. Large spaces for "gardens" and manicured lawn areas could be much better used for more rides and attractions, IMO. Although one day here will be more than enough time here, you still owe it to yourself to experience Hong Kong Disneyland when you visit! 4 solid stars!

Yelp
I'm from SoCal, so I'm very much used to my version of Disneyland. This Disneyland is a bit smaller, but still had a lot of things that were new to me. Here's some of the major differences we noticed: Unlike Disneyland & California Adventure, this Disneyland has Toy Story Land! It's pretty much is modeled like California Adventure's "A Bug's Land" in a way where it's decorated to make you feel "small" like the size of a toy. I liked this land the most! There was also a ride called Mystic Manor, which is essentially the same ride as The Haunted Mansion, but it's monkey and magic themed? It's hard to say because I wasn't familiar with its theme... was it a show? A movie? In any case, it moved a lot faster than The Haunted Mansion and the animatronics were really impressive. This ride is also a lot louder and maybe even a little spookier than THM in my opinion (which is ironic). We also did the Iron Man experience, which is located near Hyperspace Mountain. There's a young woman that comes out in a lab coat (as if she works for Iron Man) who gives a little intro in Cantonese, and then the man himself steps out--but he can only stay a few pre-recorded phrases in Tony Stark's voice. Lastly, we saw the Lion King show. I believe I've seen this show before at Disneyworld in Florida, but it was cool to see how it was different in Hong Kong. The show is spoken/sung in English and Canto and the setting is in Africa (lol). It was a very worldly experience to say the least. Definitely try the Disneyland snacks that are unique to HK! I wish I got to try more, but I only ended up getting the dried squid, which was pricey ($8) but hit the spot. We came on a weekday when it was rainy (just after a typhoon), so there weren't a lot of long lines, which meant we got to see most of the park since it was smaller anyways. The ticket is also cheaper than Disneyland in Anaheim. It also closes earlier than the SoCal one, probably because it's on its own separate island and you need to be able to catch the subway back. If you stay until closing, the lines for the Disney subway back will be pretty long. Overall, it will definitely be a good time. I believe this is the smallest Disneyland that exists, but it's worth it to enjoy all the little things that make it unique to Hong Kong.

Yelp
It's not as big as Anaheim Disneyland, but it was enough to spend the entire day or possibly two. I really love this park for it's uniqueness of certain rides, language and a flare of Asia. English and Chinese was spoken interchangeably at the shows, rides and announcements. A foreigner who only speaks English can surely survive here. Exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland is Hyperspace Mountain, Toy Story Land (suppose to open one in Anaheim in SU 2018), Mystic Manor (alternative to Haunted Mansion), Iron Man Experience, and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (I heard it's also opening in Anaheim). It was a great experience for someone who's been to Anaheim Disneyland more that 10 times is really an interesting perspective. If you decide to take a vacation in Hong Kong, be sure to go to Disneyland. Plus the admission tickets is half the USD price than of Anaheim Disneyland. My favorite ride is Mystic Manor. It still gets your heart pumping like Haunted Mansion but the theme is a bit different. My favorite in this place is being face to face with the infamous MONKEY KING. I swear Disney is so genius with their animatronics. Smooth movements and almost lifelike even though they are cartoonish. Also what I like most, we went on a weekday and it was easy to get on rides quicker. SWEETTTTT! I definitely recommend everyone to visit this Magical Place!

Yelp
Disneyland is always going to be a fun place to visit, no matter which one you go to. Disneyland Hong Kong is no different, it's a fun place to go. That being said I would warn you this Disneyland is very small and doesn't offer many rides for kids over the age of 10. I was pretty disappointed in the lack of rides here....you could ride them all from the park opening to lunch time. There were way more shops and wasted space than any other Disneyland's I have been to. On the plus side the lines weren't very long, I think the longest line we waited in was 30-40 minutes...which is nothing compared to some other parks around the world. Could have been we went on a week day and the weather wasn't too great (although it didn't rain once while we were there). It's worth going to this Disneyland to say you went, but I was disappointed overall.

Yelp
The "happiest place on Earth" can be found in another continent of the Asian hemisphere. HK Disneyland 香港迪士尼樂園 reminds me so much of WDW Orlando, Florida. The space is smaller as the land in HK is significantly smaller and admission, food, and souvenir items are priced significantly higher. Yes, the concept is still the same with all the Americanized Disney culture as well as FastPass. Disney adapts to the marketing concept of "think global, act local" which Hk Disney has different rides, smaller Sleeping Beauty Castle, lots of Asian food, adopts to Cantonese language and contains lots of school kids after school hours. I found it interesting to hear "It's a Small World" in Cantonese rather than English. HK Disneyland is cool. It is very accessible by MTR on Lantau Island and no worries about the mess and frustration of parking. HK Disneyland is in competition with Ocean Park, a long standing local amusement park in Hong Kong. Staff are fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and of course, English.

Yelp
Rides: Hyperspace Mountain, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mickey's Philharmonic, Mystic Manor, Slinky Dog Ride, Grizzly Bear Runaway Railroad Mine Cars, and Fairytale Forest Takes: HK Disneyland is a mini version of CA Disneyland. 5 hours was enough time to ride on select rides, take pictures, eat, and go shopping at a leisurely pace. Most rides had a wait time of 5-10 minutes. At this time, you don't need to splurge on a priority lane pass. It's a trip to go on hyperspace mountain, and the audio is in Cantonese. It didn't seem as fast as the version in CA, and Disney got smart with the picture at the end. You can't take a complete pic of your pic because certain parts of the picture is hidden at any time. My favorite ride by far is Mystic Manor (HK's version of CA's Haunted Mansion) because of the story line and all of the antiques! Second favorite is definitely Grizzly Bear Mine Cars! I didn't realize that the ride even goes backwards! This was one of the rare rides when I thought, wow, this ride is longer than I expected! The castle is under construction so the castles at the Fairytale Forest were the next best thing. Tickets: Purchased online using klook. I was able to get a package deal that includes 1 day park admission, 1 snack (Mickey waffle), and $10 HKD to redeem for merchandise purchase. This package was the equivalent of $76.55 USD. What a steal! That's cheaper than our 1 day one park ticket in CA! Service: Everyone was so helpful when answering your questions! Merchandise prices are comparable to the ones in CA. NOTE: Starbucks on Main Street does carry the Hong Kong Disneyland mug (part of the You are here collection). It's only the regular sized mug; they don't carry the cappuccino sized ones. Parking: Private lot (no covered parking structure). You can tell this Disneyland wasn't as busy as the other locations because there were so many rows of vacant parking spots! MRT: MRT station is well labeled and within the vicinity of the exit. Just look for the signs/MRT symbol. It's an easy mode of transportation even for a tourist who is visiting HK Disneyland for the first time. Bottom line: Go here for your Disney fix!

Yelp
This Disneyland most closely relates to a smaller version of Anaheim's Disneyland. The upside to this place is SHORT LINES of around 5-30 minutes max! Prices are most certainly cheaper than Anaheim's Disneyland, and they do have slightly different rides. For instance, their version of the Haunted Mansion is 'Mystic Manor'. Unfortunately, we weren't able to check it out just because they closed their ride down ONE HOUR earlier than when Disney closes... like what?!?! Such a downer. My family is so used to the park being open one hour later after closing, but in Hong Kong, they are strict on the enforcement of employees work hours. The park closes at 8pm typically, so be sure to get on all of the rides you want before 7pm since the backside of the park shuts down early... Their jungle river cruise ride is also pretty cool. They have a different ending compared to the jungle river cruise in Anaheim. Be sure to check out the Avengers rides! Ant-Man and Wasp was a fun one, also the Iron Man ride. Toy Story Land is somethin' else there. I loved the setup of the land and how they created the car roller coaster ride. I wish we were able to spend more time there, but hopefully next time for sure!

Yelp
Yes - Hong Kong has a Disneyland. Recently went to Disneyland to celebrate my birthday and of course - Christmas time is here! Currently, they have a buy 2 get 1 free ticket deal with free Mickey ears for everyone! So if you are in Hong Kong - definitely check it out. With covid restrictions, they are only allowing good amount of people to go in there and you have to reserve your spot 7 days before going. They opened at 10:30 and closed at 7:30 and there is no fireworks & parades. The line is not bad - the max I have waited is 45 mins

Yelp
Yes, it's much smaller park if you compare it to Anaheim or Orlando, but I had SO MUCH fun and it still took me the whole day to get through all the rides that I want! I basically rode everything (and more!) that is not available in US. I'm not a roller coaster kind of girl, but my favorites was the Iron Man Experience which is similar to Star Tours and Toy Soldier Parachute Drop in Toy Story Land. I also love their version of the Haunted Mansion called the Mystic Manor and the Lion King show! Both of the parades, Flights of Fantasy in the afternoon and Paint the Night LED, were so amazing! I felt like a kid again! I love the catchy Cantonese tunes and how all the Disney characters speak in Cantonese in the same English voice! Too hilarious! Make sure you go watch the cute musical Mickey's Wondrous Book that helps Olaf find his way home and the 3D show Mickey's Philhar Magic which is similar to A Bug's life. We were there from 10:30am and didn't leave til after the fireworks show. We went on a Thursday in November, and most rides were at most 10-15 mins wait! Check out KLOOK.com for discount tickets! I purchased my tickets online the night before for about $67 USD each adult. I just showed my email QR code at the gate and they had no problem exchanging it to the actual Disney ticket. We had a *** MAGICAL *** day!

Yelp
I've raved about this place, and recently recommended it to a friend who was headed to Hong Kong -- how have I not reviewed it?! After a visit to the Big Buddha, I was on Lantau Island, and my HK denizen friend recommended that we proceed to Disneyland for the rest of the day. The excitement starts before you arrive, as you board a train bound for Disney, and complete with Mickey-shapes windows and handles on the train for those standing. Disney music plays, and you can already feel that you're heading to the happiest place on earth. It's an ideal spot to spend a day, or even just an afternoon. I went on a weekday, and the lack of crowd meant that we could ride Space Mountain as many times in a row as we wanted without having to wait. I think we made it 5 times before I stumbled out and worried that I would lose my Mickey Mouse sushi bento box lunch. Hit up the Buzz Lightyear Ride, as it's fun to rack up points for zapping the aliens. If you need classic Disney, there's also "It's a Small World". Toy Story Land makes you feel like a kid, or a toy, with bamboo blades of "grass", benches like popsicle sticks, and every ride towering over you. My favorite ride by far was Mystic Manor, an enchanted mansion with a mischievous monkey and a theme song that gets in your head like the one from Harry Potter. This is exclusive to the Hong Kong park, so you won't find it anywhere else. Don't skip the gift shop at the end, as you can even buy an enchanted music box of your own. The one that I got has had pride of place in my living room since I got back, ensuring that every day includes a little magic!

Yelp
I was really disappointed with this park. I didn't do my research in advance and showed up on a whim when I had a free day during a work trip. I've been to several Disney parks (Disneyland, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood studio, Animal Kingdom and Disney Sea) and this park has the least to offer. I was underwhelmed by the rides and shows. I also don't think the crowd was as well managed as some of the other parks. For example, wait estimates did not reflect the actual time we had to wait in lines. Most Disney parks require a full day, but we were able to see all the attractions at this park in less than 5 hours. This park could be a good experience for someone who has not been to other Disney parks. Had I done my research, I would have used the money spent on the park ticket to explore different things in Hong Kong.

Yelp
I have always been a big fan of Disney and will continue to be. I was at the Tokyo Disneyland a few months ago and had fun. I thought that the Tokyo one was a bit small. This Hong Kong Disneyland seems even smaller. They are missing several of the big rides like Indiana Jones, Matterhorn bobsleds, Thunder Mountain, Cars, Splash Mountain, etc. This HK one has Space Mountain and Grizzly Gulch which was similar to Thunder Mountain. There wasn't as many if the smaller rides as well. Toy Storyland is similar to Toon Town but I thought a lil cheesier. We went on a Friday and it was not crowded at all which I thought was very weird. I did hear that this past year was the lowest in revenue sales which is sad to hear. This Disneyland is small and lacking several things but it's still fun and it's still Disneyland after all. One of the best features is that the MTR subway drops you off right in front and that is nice since you already do a lot of walking when at the parks. The other nice feature is that it's not crowded, so the wait times for rides were like 30 mins at most. Space Mountain was just 5 mins. That's unheard of at Anaheim location. Overall we had a fun time and ended up leaving early.

Yelp
So, this is basically my first, and most likely my only, experience of Disneyland (unless I end up in Los Angeles for some unknown reason that is completely beyond me). Well, this place is basically what one would expect of a theme park, though Disneyland certainly has a rather long history. So, you pretty much see everything that you would expect, and honestly, I really wasn't all that impressed, particularly since the food really isn't all that cheap. However, the good thing is that all you need to do is pay once and you can go on the rides as many times as you like (though of course that seems to be the case with most theme parks).

Yelp
Review #1000. The BEST property out of Anaheim, Orlando, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. (May/not change my mind after Tokyo/Paris). #1000 needs to be ultra special. So, you will get a 2-in-1 deal. Will review Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) and then the Shanghai Disney Resort (SHDR). HKDL: 1. Many say this park is too small. I disagree. It is smaller when compare it with Disney World, but you spend less walking in the sun and more time for the rides. Since June 2016, due to the opening of the SHDR, HKDL receives far fewer visitors. This may be bad for Disney since they are practically losing profit at 13 of 14 theme parks (SHDR is the only making a profit). But, it is great for me since there is practically no line for the majority of the rides. 2. If the park opens at 10 AM, totally safe to arrive at 9 AM (for a Monday morning in July). I took the metro over and first passed the security check with no wait. I arrived by 9:10 AM and was the third in line. At 9:20 AM, a special family was invited inside to take pictures with cast members. At 9:25 AM, Mickey and Minnie would come around to the gate area and wave hello. At 9:30 AM, the ticket line would officially open. Between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM, you are only allowed in the shopping section as the rides are not open yet. Use this 30 min. slot to take photos with Mickey/Minnie, Chip/Dale, and Daisy/Donald. DO THE PHOTOS BEFORE 10 AM! The line for photos get significantly longer later during the day, so take advantage of these 30 min window early in the morning. Then at around 9:55 AM, another family would be invited to the front of the castle for a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Then the park and the rides would officially open. I prefer the HKDL over SHDR because the ceremony gives you a more authentic Disney feeling. At SHDR, no ribbon cutting ceremony, as everyone would just run towards Tron or Soaring, as soon as allowed inside (do not ask if I have followed the locals and done the same). 3. No food allowed. You could bring bottled water inside and just refill at the fountain. The bathrooms are fairly clean. 4. Every cast member is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Impressive. They are friendly, smile a lot and seem to enjoy their jobs. Do they also get paid minimum wage? I hope/guess not because they sure look less miserable than the cast in the US or Shanghai. 5. Didn't eat here (aside from the free popcorn that came with Admissions Ticket), but it seems like their food would cost hella money. At least they accept credit cards here, not cash only. 6. Tips: -Cinderella Carousel (try this during the last 30 mins before closing) -Dumbo the Flying Elephant (try it right before closing for no wait) - Disneyland Railroad (15 minutes for a round trip, do the entire ride and don't get off at any stops in between) - Mad Hatter Tea Cups (come during the first 10 minutes of opening and you can ride this three times in a row. And yes, I did just that.) - The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (FP! Or wait in line for 30 mins or so) - Mystic Manor (scary and dark ride, worth it) - Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars (omg so much fun!) - Royal Princess Garden (check the App for princess rotation schedule. Elsa and Anna usually are here on the weekends, not on weekdays) - Hyperspace Mountain (FP!) - Iron Man Experience (hold on to the handrail tight! The line is generally short anyway. Try to score a front seat row, if possible.) - Flight of Fantasy Parade (stand close to the entrance side.) Now, bonus SHDR: 1. No food allowed inside. The security check is tight and almost feel like a violation of privacy. But deal with it. Some people do sneak in food if the food it is stacked at the bottom of your bag. 2. My record is to have spent 15 hours here (arrived at 5:30 AM and stayed until 10:30 PM). Take a cab over during the peak months and arrive early. To avoid confusion on the highway close to the park, tell the cab driver to take you to the Toy Story Hotel. For crowd control, the security gate opens between 6:50 and 7:20 AM (for 8 AM official open). I have also waited in line until 7:45 AM for an 8 AM open time. 3. If you can afford a "royal" meal inside the castle, take advantage of the VIP at either firework show or a live entertainment show. I recommend the fireworks. You don't have to wait for an hour to find a perfect spot. If you don't mind sitting on the pavement, simply walk in 15 min prior and maximize your time elsewhere. 4. Visit on the rainy days, if you are a local. Way shorter lines (eg the line for Tron is 20 min, as opposed to 120 min). 5. Seasonal ticket holders must go through dedicated lanes, not regular lines. The general ticket holder can go through either lane. 6. Now sell half day tickets! 7. There are always taxis waiting after park closing. I would not recommend Didi (the local Uber). Sometimes the drivers don't know where to park/wait for you. 8. If purchase balloons, you cannot bring to the subway. So take a taxi home.

Yelp
I love this place! Every time I come to Hong Kong, Disneyland is a must. It is a bit smaller than Disneyland in California but it's not too bad! Compared to the Disneyland located in Anaheim, CA, the lines are super short here. Depends when you go but I've been here three times so far and going when it's Chinese New Year is not the best idea. The first two times I went which were a weekday and the day after Christmas, it was not bad. I waited for 15 minutes for space mountain and I went on that ride 3 times. LOL Hong Kong Disneyland does not deviate from Disneyland California. It was all so cute and you can find exclusive merchandise you can't find in the US. I always get a few tsum tsums (if you know, you know) because they have characters exclusive for Hong Kong! :)

Yelp
Size doesn't matter. Well, in this case it doesn't (at least for me). I've always been told that Hong Kong Disneyland is smaller than the Anaheim one and so I've never had the inclination to come; until recently. Yes, the park is small, but I still had a blast. Since I haven't been to ANY Disneyland since 1990 (yes, I am aging myself), I don't really recall much of that experience so it was as if I was getting my Disneyland cherry popped again. Getting to Disneyland is a breeze because the MTR will take you right to the front door. The MTR trains that bring you into Disneyland are all Disney themed with Mickey ear windows and other Disney decor. Once you get to the station, it'll still be quite a walk before you get to the front gate. On the particular day I went there wasn't a line. I didn't go early nor too late. I just walked right up and was able to buy a ticket and get in the park in under 10 minutes. The great thing about Hong Kong Disneyland was that there were no lines. I've heard of all the horror stories of waiting 2 hours for a ride. Yeah, I wasn't about that life, and I'm glad I didn't have to wait in lines here. Okay, I lied. There were lines, but they sure as hell weren't no 2 hours. Another plus side of the park being smaller is that I got to walk the whole place in a day. I didn't felt rushed at all because I had to go see a certain part of the park or attraction. I took my sweet time and still got to see everything. I also made it in time to the main road to see the end of the night parade, which was pretty amazing. The music, the lights, the dancers, everything was just amazing. I read somewhere that the fireworks won't come back until sometime in 2019, so that was a bummer, but that didn't ruin the experience for me. As far as rides, there really wasn't that many, but then again, I'm not really a ride kind of dude. The Star Wars one was fun! It's like an indoor roller coaster where in the darkness you're being chased as if you're in a Star Wars movie. In Toy Story land, there was that ride where it was like the parachutes, which seemed fun, but again, not my cup of tea. Just to name off a few rides that I recall. The prices for food and souvenirs are to expensive, which is to be expected. But I LOVE the fact that the food they serve is more Asian flavored (duh! I'm in Asia!). I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
It's Disneyland! October weekday with very few people Check hours before going--usually opens late (10:30) and close early (7:30) 5 minute average for the attractions. The kids attractions were actually longer than the roller coasters! Ant man shooting game/ride is comparable to the toy story one at the other Disneyland's! Limited restaurants and stands open because it was not busy.

Yelp
Very nice park. This was our very last of all the Disney parks to visit. I love that it has a dedicated subway line right to it! Super easy to get to, buy tickets, get inside! Thank you! The Ironman Experience was fun and much like Anaheim's Star Tours. Mystic Manor was my favorite and quite unique! Most of the cast members will give you stickers if you ask. Toy Story Land was fun. The Army Men Parachute Drop was thrilling! The only sad part was they were redoing the castle so there was a fence all the way around it.

Yelp
Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest out of all the Disney Parks. However, it was great. It was less crowded, so we could actually do more. The average wait time for a ride was 10-15 minutes, compared to an hour at the other Disney Parks. There was a lot to do. We spent a day there and barely got through the whole park. The park consists of seven parts (Main St. USA, Adventureland, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, Toy Storyland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland). The most congested area was Fantasyland. All the kids were running around having a blast. This is where the Dumbo ride, Teacup ride, and It's A Small World ride is located. I didn't get a chance to go on the Winnie The Pooh ride, bummer. They have a show called Mickey's Philhar Magic. It's a must see. We ate at the Royal Banquet Hall in this section and the food was good. The combo meals will run you about $20US. It's your standard fare (noodles, curry, sushi, pizza, etc.) The pizza and sushi are shaped as a mouse head. This section is also where you can get your pics taken with Mickey and Minnie. Adventureland is where you can take the Jungle River Cruise. This is also where they have the Festival of the Lion King. It's a scaled down version of the musical, The Lion King. The production was on point. I loved the props and costumes. Main St. USA is where you'll find a ton of shops and eateries. At the end of the night, they host the light parade and the fireworks show. The light parade starts at 7:45pm and the fireworks show starts at 8:30pm. Space Mountain, Orbitron, and Jedi Knight rides can be found at Tomorrowland. The Grizzly Gulch is Wild West themed. There's the Geyser Gulch and the Gold Mine Roller Coaster. Mystic Point has the Mystic Manor ride. Be sure to go on this ride. It's super cool and fun. It has a lot of spooky stuff, but it's not scary. Pay attention to the pictures on the walls. I'll leave it at that and won't ruin it for you. Toy Storyland was my least favorite. It's definitely a spot for kids. It has a kids play area and some rides. My eight year old son liked this section. My favorite thing that I did here all day was see the Mickey's Philhar Magic show. It runs about 10 minutes and it's fabulous. You go into this huge theater and they show this short film on the giant screen. It's of various Disney characters singing their songs. It's in 3D and the theatrics are superb. When the Little Mermaid came on, you could feel light sprinkles of water getting splashed on you. When they redid that food scene from Sleeping Beauty, you could smell the cinnamon apple pie. This production is crazy. Do not miss it.

Off to see Hong Kong Disneyland! This will be the second Disney property that I've been to, the first being Disney World in Florida, USA. I'm spending my final full day in Hong Kong and decided to add this attraction to my bucket list. This sure beats the winter weather back in Toronto, Ontario Canada.

Yelp
I'm an annual pass holder for CA Disney. I've been to HK Disney 4 times. It lacks the peppy, happy cast member spirit that other parks in the US plus Japan have, however HK Disney gets high marks in my book because it's the best park and only park I will take my two nephews and one niece to. You can easily get every ride done and watch the shows. I love the Lion King show. The food is so so, but the hot dog, corn on the cob, caramel popcorn, pizza, and Mickey Waffle are great. The most picture worthy is probably the character donuts from the bakery on Main St. They don't taste great since they are from Maxim's. Starbucks is never crowded. I'd say the photo pass isn't worth it unless you do Jedi Training or do a character buffet dinner. Not many rides have photos. There's not enough photographers standing around either. Favorite rides: Mystic Manor (their version of Haunted Mansion), Iron Man, and the Grizzly Thunder Ride. Basically all the Hk exclusive rides are great. Many of the cast members seem like they hate their job, which is weird if you're used to WDW or Disneyland, but it's fine because this is great for kids!

Yelp
This is our 4th Disney Park and probably our most disappointing one. Although I don't remember much of the Tokyo Disneyland except for the cute Alien face Toy Story character Michigan ball it was still a better park. The park isn't at busy in the early hours. No monster lines and no one running frantically like they do in Japan which was hysterical when the gates open. Some of the rides were similar and others were not. Food here was the worse of any park we've been to especially at the Explorers Club which Jr Yelper read had the best food in the park. The Jungle ride was closed for maintenance which was disappointing. They don't have a scary, haunted house. Superstitious according to Jr Yelper. They have a ride about a cute monkey who goes in an adventure. He's so cute I wish they feature stuff animals of him in their gift shops instead of the Duffy bear which isn't cute. They have a lot of Duffy merchandise. The park is about a 1 hr ride on the subway out of HK going West and then you have to catch the Disney subway. If you're slow walking like me, you will need 2 days there to cover the park. But it doesn't have the excitement of the original Disneyland. The castle was being torn down to build a larger castle so it was sectioned off. I like Toy story land which was adorable and great for kids. OK park but the USA ones are better.

Yelp
I had a fantastic time at Disney Land Hong Kong! It's much smaller than Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I would also like to mention that this location is incredibly cheap in comparison to American Theme Parks. For isntance, I purchased 2 coffee mugs, 2 pens and 2 umbrellas as souvenirs and spent around $57 US. That was crazy inexpensive compared to prices I've seen in the USA. There are themed areas located in the park. Adventure land is a jungle themed area that includes Tarzan's tree house and a jungle boat ride. Fantasy land includes Cinderella's carousel, Sleeping beauty's castle, flying dumbo, tea cups, and It's a small world. Grizzley gulch has the runaway mine cats roller coaster. Main Street USA has classic Americana shops and old time cars driving around. This is where you will find all the souvenir shops and the railroad station. We spent 6 hours here and saw it all! It's a great family outing.

Yelp
We came to Disney HK on a Tuesday, it was great. There were almost no lines for just about every ride. The last time we came was about 4 years ago, a lot of things were still in the development stages at that point. Though HK is definitely not as impressive as Disney in LA, it is definitely still worth the trip. The rides were still great. The Jungle Cruise in HK is just like the Jungle Cruise in Anaheim, except in Chinese, including all the corny jokes. I would recommend going with the Chinese version of the ride, even if you don't speak or understand the language. The English version was very hard to understand. They also have their own version of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride, which includes bears, a railroad and going backwards. Super fun. Space mountain is almost exactly the same. There are a couple of rides that I have seen only in HK, like the Ironman Experience, the Mystic Mansion and a couple of others like Toy Story land Also, please come to eat here, they have really good food, surprisingly. Good Chinese food catering to the local people. Overall, great fun. A one day trip should be enough, as the park is about 1/3 of the size of the park in Anaheim.

Yelp
One of the smallest Disneyland's I've been to, and I've been to every single one around the world. The only reason this is 4 stars is because it's the smallest Disney theme park. For an extra $50 USD at the time you could get special fireworks seating, and snacks, and a special tour! So back to this park. It's like a mini Disneyland with just your basic classic rides. You can do this park in 3 hours. And every time I've been here, 5 times and counting, there's never been more than a 10 minute wait in line. The monorail here is cool from the MTR, with Mickey ear windows. Don't expect the cute foods that you would find at Tokyo Disney, or that happy hospitality. They'll help you, but only begrudgingly. My experience though. But, if you're cheap, need something to do, need to check off Disney from your list, or want to do something unique in Hong Kong, then by all means come here. Their Halloween horror is great here by the way with the headless horseman running through the park. It's not cutesy like in the USA. Here they do try to scare you! Which is another unique thing about this park. 5 stars for keeping me from being bored in Hong Kong, though for all you Disney lovers keep your expectations low for this park and you'll be okay!

Yelp
It's no secret that I am NOT a hardcore Disney fan. The only reason I suck it up, fork over all that cash money, and go with a sometimes forced smile and cheer is because I love the way my kids' faces light up with magical moments. We went to Disneyland in California last Christmas, and it was expensive and miserable because my husband and kids got food poisoning from unwashed or not well washed grapes at Ariel's Grotto at California Adventure Park, which has been replaced with Pixar Pier. Anyway, I digress. On the contrary, I loved HK Disneyland. We bought the Three Magical Days package, which included two two-day park tickets, two nights hotel at Disney Explorers Lodge (the newest of the HK Disneyland hotels), daily breakfast buffet, in-park meal and snack tickets, priority admission passes to certain rides, and airport transfer. Unfortunately, we couldn't take advantage of the free airport transfer because the earliest airport transfer was at 10:30, and our flight was at noon. Roughly $850 USD for the package. Plus $200 USD more to add on one child package, which included a stuffed Mickey. Overall, I thought it was a good deal considering we were paying almost as much for the hotel in TST, Kowloon; and it was WAY cheaper than what we would have paid for a comparable package for Disneyland in California. As for the park itself, we went on Wednesday and Thursday. It is much smaller than Disneyland in California, which was perfect for my senior parents and lazy 4-year-old. You could actually go to one section and work your way through all the rides and attractions before moving on to the next section. For example, we were able to enjoy all the rides in Tomorrowland before moving onto Fantasyland. This was because most waits were 5-15 minutes. There were some longer, like 30ish minute waits to meet and greet characters, but my kid isn't into pictures, so we were able to avoid that stress. (But, 30ish minutes is still better than the 2+ hour wait to meet and greet Mickey at Disneyland in California.) Basically, none of that tromping from one end of the park to the other side chasing fast passes. All of us, including my 4-year-old and senior parents, enjoyed the shows (mostly in Cantonese and English with Chinese character and English subtitles). We usually queued up about 45 minutes ahead of time, but it wasn't an unpleasant wait, especially since the weather was a pleasant 70ish since it was early November. A highlight for us though was the parades. If we staked a spot about 1 hour ahead of time, we were able to get "front row" seats, and the characters were really animated and engaged with the crowds. I decided to rent, so I didn't bring our stroller. Mistake. The rental strollers are hard and not comfortable, and don't manuever very well. If I could do it over, I would have brought our own stroller, instead of renting for $120 HKD/day (plus refundable $100 HKD deposit). I wouldn't endure a transpacific flight just to go to HK Disneyland, but if I were traveling to or through the area, I would strongly consider doing it again (on weekdays to avoid weekend crowds).
