"Attached to the behemoth (and always crowded) South Beverly Grill, The Honor Bar is a spot for us normies who can’t disappear into a three-martini lunch any day of the week. This sibling concept serves convenient to-go sandwiches for anyone in a pinch, but, like its busier neighbor, The Honor Bar is great for unwinding, too. The shortened bar menu still manages to have something for everybody, from sushi to kale salad to a juicy burger, so bring a friend, date, or just yourself to enjoy a cocktail and the clubhouse ambiance." - sylvio martins, brant cox
"Attached to the behemoth that is South Beverly Grill, Honor Bar is the cool, younger sibling of the Hillstone family tree. As the name suggests, the walk-in-only space is taken up by a long bar with leather stools and two-seater booths running along the wall. We love swinging by after work with a friend or alone, ordering a shaken-to-order daiquiri and the slaw-covered burger unique to Honor Bar, and staring at whatever game is on TV. The crowd skews younger (think CAA junior agents and exhausted assistants), but if you want the premium Hillstone experience with slightly fewer crowds, this spot is your easiest route." - brant cox, sylvio martins, garrett snyder

Food Rundown Martini Don't check our math on this, but at any given point, 90% of the people at Honor Bar are drinking martinis. So, you might as well join them, especially considering they're equal parts strong and smooth. photo credit: Brant Cox Honor Burger This is the same burger you'll find at other Hillstone locations, except it's topped with creamy coleslaw. And for that reason alone, it's better than the others. Ding's Crispy Chicken Sandwich The most popular dish in the Hillstone empire for a reason. It's a perfectly engineered sandwich. The visibly juicy buttermilk fried chicken is layered with spicy slaw, strips of cold Swiss cheese, tomato, and mayo, then neatly stacked on a sesame bun as precisely as a wedding cake. This and a cocktail is an ideal post-work meal. photo credit: Katie Clark" - Brant Cox
"Attached to the huge and always crowded South Beverly Grill, Honor Bar is the more casual option next door. Nothing off the sandwich menu is over $15, which is noteworthy because this is a Hillstone restaurant and nobody knows how to make a more crowd-pleasing sandwich than these guys. If you get anything other than the crispy chicken sandwich or the burger, you’ll likely regret your order." - brant cox
"It’s 10:30am and your boss has already used up his passive-aggressive quota for the day. Break early for lunch and head to Honor Bar. Attached to South Beverly Grill, this all-day bar is our favorite place in Beverly Hills to grab a quiet drink and mumble witty hypothetical comebacks in our head. Sure, this place is part of the aggressively corporate Hillstone empire, but the sleek, dimly-lit space feels entirely separate, like you just stumbled into the back bar of a fancy hotel in Tribeca. The martinis are strong, the fries are crunchy, and the burger is one of the best in the neighborhood." - brant cox
