"In Conshohocken, this cozy restaurant of Hotel West & Main adds charm to this surrounding suburb. Here, this historic firehouse dormitory-turned-restaurant braises tender short rib for six hours, fires up dry-aged tomahawk ribeyes, and other great entrées that will be memorable beyond one’s trip." - Ernest Owens

Our group were 16 people and seated at 3 tables. We got a small menu to choose from for salad, main course and dessert. Probably understaffed on Monday night, and servers/helpers put the wrong items to separate individuals. We had shared appetizers, spicy tuna bites and cauliflower were fine. I had Caesar salad and King Salmon, tasted okay. Mashed potatoes (shared) were little diluted. Asparagus looked dry. However, the most disappointed dish was Creme Brulee. It was in room temperature. Why? Should it be hot or cold? Should it the top be crispy? Well, it was different...still disappointed.

We came here for a Sunday evening birthday dinner and were really impressed! We parked in the garage public parking spots, which seemed to be free for 6 hours this day. You do have to go inside the hotel and up the elevator to get to the restaurant, but the inside is gorgeous. You can chose to eat on the patio, at the bar, or in the dining room. We ate in the dining room. At 6pm it was completely empty, but eventually a couple tables ended up coming in. We got the lavender haze and the seasonal cider, which for then was an apple pie cider. I thought the apple pie cider tasted like the grapefruit beer from epcot (iykyk) and it was delicious. My lavender haze had floral elements and this creamy undertone. It was super strong and I could barely finish it because it was very rich and strong (but it was delicious). Happy about that given the price. To start we got the french onion soup and the grilled octopus. The grilled octopus was a little strange. The meat itself was cooked nicely, and the potatoes were nice, but there was a citrus note from I guess the Arbequina olive oil or something that was a little too overpowering and sour. The soup was amazing! I always get french onion soup if it’s on a menu and this was really unique. The crispy onions on top were delicious, the broth had good flavor, and there was plenty of cheese. Good price for the soup too, which made up for the octopus. For our entrees, we got the scallops and the king salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The scallops had a great sear, and the sauce on the side was a nice addition. I really enjoyed the mash potatoes, but I think something else could’ve been added for a bit more punch. These entrees were expensive, but they did have that luxury feel for something special like a birthday. We really liked this place and would love to return for some bar treats!

Great place! Menu gives you plenty of variety and plenty variety on price. Dennis took great care of us! Cocktails were outstanding. Sides fed 4+ people beautifully. Pics will tell you the full story

This place is lovely. Perfect for a date night, solo dinner, or friend catch-up. Great ambiance and excellent food. Our server, David, was incredibly attentive. The creamed spinach was A1! I forgot to take pics, but take my word for it. Highly recommended. Would definitely go back and sit on the patio. Parking is free in the garage after 5p, and the restaurant is inside the West and Main Hotel, second floor. Enjoy!

Google
Our experience was unfortunately disappointing. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the quality of the food did not meet expectations and was significantly overpriced. We ordered the Wagyu steak, which was listed at $150. Based on its excessive fat content and overall taste, we have serious doubts that it was genuine Wagyu. The steak neither looked nor tasted like Wagyu, and we do have photos that clearly show the amount of fat present. It was not at all reflective of the quality typically associated with Wagyu beef and was certainly not worth the price.

Google
The atmosphere is top-notch. Service is fantastic. And the food. Wow. I went with three other people, and we ordered a couple things each, so I got to try a lot. One note: Don't bother with the Fireman Burger. The meat wasn't seasoned well, the rest of the flavors were meh (save for the loster, which was good), and there wasn't good balance to the burger. Two of us got one. The meat was overcooked in both. Everything else we got was so good, though!! - Wagyu beef carpaccio - perfect. - Grilled octopus - cooked perfectly and delicious. - Charcuterie - great mix, all yummy (the honeycomb and fig jam!). - Hibiscus poached pear V - perfect balance (and good!). - Seared sea scallops - cooked perfectly, excellent sauce, great potatoes. - King-salmon - if this sounds at all interesting to you, get it. - All of the cocktails were on-point as well. We will be back!

The restaurant is very clean & aesthetically pleasing, the outside lounge area attached to the lobby is cool too. The parking lot right in front is also a plus. As for the food the dessert was the best part of the meal, dessert was better than what most restaurants offer. Bread pudding was great & the ice cream had an amazing taste! Most of us ordered the caezar salad to start, it was ok & it was a bit of a wait for salad with an empty restaurant. **Maybe start the guest with bread & butter if the wait for appetizers will be so long** The braised beef ribs were tender & the carrots were really good. Instead of gravy I believe majority of us were looking forward to bbq sauce. I put bbq sauce on my leftovers at home the next day would definitely recommend that instead of gravy. Our server did a nice job & made sure everyone’s order was correct. The bathrooms need more tissue & the sink was hard to turn on I nearly gave up lol. With the pricing people expect top tier across the board

Great food had the Scallops and Sea Bass. Great bites. The cocktail menu is also fabulous. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
We are locals and had no idea Hook & Ladder existed, let alone for 3 yrs!! We had family in town and they happen to stay in your hotel, we meet them for happy hour and it turned into dinner too! The property is beautiful, alot if history in that building and it shows. We had the pleasure of meeting Amanda, she took such good care of us, even talked to us about some of the history of the firehouse. We were asked if we ever dined there before and we said no, obviously, and with that Amanda walked us through every step of our evening. We had all of her recommendations, Tuna Bites, and for the 1st time ever, grilled oysters and the octopus (that was unique) Then we enjoyed ourselves with Ginger Seabass, Short Rib, Scallops and the Strip Steak...delicious does not describe it all. Dessert was such a surprise, we couldn't decide and Amanda asked if she could pick and we were presented with a variety with, I think, ALL of the desserts...My husband loosened his belt after that. We could not have had a better experience and Amanda was nothing short of patient with us spending 3 hrs with her, telling us she was there all night and not to rush and enjoy ourselves, even topping us off with a little toast for our 'family reunion'. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Yelp
It was our first time here. We came to celebrate our 21 and 24 yo son's birthdays as a party of 6. The food was ok and the service was not really ok. Apparently the dishwasher was not working and it sounds like maybe some people called out. All I know is we ordered drinks before dinner and it took forever to get 2 of the drinks even though it was a draft beer and a cosmo. The service was not attentive. I had to ask for my water to be refilled after my glass sat empty for a prolonged period of time. Something small but at a place with such an upscale menu it felt like a service miss. The food was ok. The A5 was excellent, the sea bass was better than expected, the filets were good, the lobster was good and the scallops were ok. It seemed like some of the plates maybe sat under a warming light. The sauces on the plates had a film as of sitting for a minute. After dinner the waiter dropped off the dessert menu and it was a long wait before we could request a check. Overall, it was ok. I don't see us returning there.

Yelp
I had to do business in Wayne Pennsylvania so I found this hotel to stay in for the night. I did research so I ended up here for convenience, cleanliness and rates. Because this place is considered downtown, I had to park in a garage. It wasn't that simple so I had to move my car. The Calinami was good. Too much for one person so I didn't eat much of it. The salad was ok. It was fresh and it was a nice sized salad. I crushed it. The BLT was different. Even though it clearly described the dish, I didn't like the bread. It was like a consistency of Rye bread...which made a supposedly simple BLT harder to eat. The bacon pissed me off. I'm sure it was leftover bacon from someone's breakfast. I didn't eat the whole thing. I did eat the desert though and lastly, the Long Island I had was good. I felt underdressed as I realized that this place is connected to an official building and they regularly history meetings. The price I spent on this lunch was definitely enough to buy 2 people dinner. Would I come again? I would but I know now what to order. The experience overall was just ok.

Yelp
Escaped to the stunning rooftop at Hook & Ladder atop Hotel West & Main in Conshohocken! Pro tip: their Sweet Potato Cinnamon Old Fashioned comes with a pour so generous, it makes your aunt's holiday "splash" of bourbon look modest. Had the octopus & chorizo starter (power couple of 2025!) But the real showstopper? That sea bass was swimming in flavor heaven with its brussel sprout besties and the smoothest cauliflower puree. That ginger soy sauce though? I'm pretty sure I heard angels sing. Hotel West & Main, you've officially ruined all other dinner plans for me. My wallet might not thank you, but my taste buds are sending love letters!

Yelp
Came to hook and ladder for a quick happy hour with some friends and by the name, I didn't expect it to look so gorgeous on the inside the way it did! The layout was this beautiful indoor/outdoor style bar with a beautiful sky lights in a wide open window view of the downtown area. We sat at the bar and were greeted by one of the kindest people I've met on the planet. If you are lucky to get Miss Simone as a bartender, you'll be in great hands! We ordered charcuterie board, tuna bites, Kobe wagoo burger bites, truffle fries, and some drinks. Everything was fantastic but by far the favorite item were the tuna bites! The tuna bites had a slight Spanish flair and we're topped off with a bite of jalapeno. My old fashioned definitely paired well with my burger bites but the tuna bites were on my mind. Overall, it was such a lively good time and I would definitely be back soon to sit for dinner.

Yelp
Came in as a party of 3 on Saturday 2/15/25. We were all set on our menu selections until the waiter shared the valentines surf and turf special - 32 oz. Rib eye, 1lb. King crab leg, mash, asparagus, champs, & chocolate tasting for dessert. We went with the waiters suggestion to upgrade to the 40 oz. Tomahawk ribeye. It was all delicious and plenty of food to share between 3 women! I would like to return to try a seafood signature dish.

Yelp
Between 1812 and H&L, happy hour is splendid in Conshohocken! Great outdoor space with Adirondack chairs, grassy lawns and a sheltered space that's great for families or couples with dogs. I recommend starting at the "Sky Bar", second floor, for the impeccable Spicy Tuna. Soooo good. Then grab a beverage and lounge downstairs on the plaza.

Yelp
Updating my review after a couple of years and this place only gets better . I had dinner and drinks here yesterday and my experience was exceptional ! This has become my favorite place to dine in the area . Every single experience is outstanding . Cameron and KC ( sorry if I spelled their names wrong lol ) are super accommodating and sweet. Aside from the food being amazing every single employee you encounter is a gem . Can't wait to come back

Yelp
This is a very nice hotel restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. I had a tuna appetizer that was very good and the service was very good. I don't eat meat but it seems that's what they are known for.

Yelp
Great facility.. avg eating experience .. everything was bland.. the crab cake.. bland.. twin lobster tails.. were bland and the clarified butter could have been better.. With that said, I would try it again.. it wasn't horrible

Yelp
Picked Hook & Ladder to celebrate and they crushed it. A large private party was just seated so we had a slight delay to get our table, but once we were sat it was a delight. There are helmets hanging from the roof with plants. Nice touch. The bar area is lively but we got seated in the back room in a cozy corner. Alexis is a charmer. Gave great menu recommendations and was somehow able to handle the private party plus many tables. Started with drinks, bone marrow (must order), spicy tuna bites and the hamachi crudo. Presentation of all was creative and the flavors popped. Scallops, sea bass (largest order I've ever seen) and the braised beef rib. A strong sear on all the scallops and sea bass but also so soft inside. Braised beef rib was so well cooked it fell apart with just a fork. Dessert was the bread pudding (many textures and a generous portion) plus the puff pastry with fruit. Was just hitting up Michelin starred restaurants last month, and I would say this dining experience was better.

Yelp
This was a very unimpressive meal with underwhelming seasoning and flavors. For the menu prices, the food quality and flavor should be executed perfectly. The lobster bisque was flavorless and tasted like cream, not worth $15. It needed salt, and just flavor in general. The French onion soup was the only item I truly enjoyed. The tuna bites were okay. The fried rice component was flavorless and needed salt. The chips and caviar were an absolute joke. $19 for paper thin homemade "chips" that had zero crisp. The amount of caviar on each chip was laughable, and you couldn't even taste it. It added nothing to the dish and was basically for looks. The pecan pie was a small tarte that was half filled. It wasn't gooey, and the ratio of filling to crust was very off. The cleanliness was lacking. Menus were dirty. Sharing plates were dirty/dusty. The restaurant was very dusty and dust kept landing in our waters. I unfortunately wouldn't return given the high cost and lack of execution on the food.

Yelp
Was there for a business dinner. We ordered the board of meat - best steak I ever had! We had a few different small plates. They all tasted good. It's pricey but would love to bring my kids back for those meats!!

Yelp
So good! The best addition to Conshohocken. Came for a date night and the aesthetic is amazing. So vibey and cute. I wish we were able to sit on the outside portion of the deck but it was busy - we sat in the dining area. Food was exceptional. We got the Caesar salad and crispy tuna for appetizer and I got the salmon. My boyfriend got the $100 burger I def had a bite it was good I don't know if it is worth the hype. We also got dessert - so good. My boyfriend actually ended up coming back a couple of days later with his coworker and got the short rib and said it was unreal. Very jealous. The cocktail list is good I wish they had more selection. Very dark liquor heavy. Was hoping for an egg white cocktail or something with a sprig of rosemary lol a girl can dream. Recommend!!! When we were leaving we were gonna go to another bar, but ended up downstairs at the hotel bar. Great date night spot or for a special occasion. We will be back. Service was also exceptional!

Yelp
Consider alternatives for large group or private dining. After 2 online requests, 2 voicemails and a live conversation with restaurant manager i still cannot seem to get any support in arranging a 20 person biz dinner. Unprofessional and inattentive...no one ever called me. Plenty of great restaurants in KOP and center city. Food reviews here mediocre as well.

Heather M.

Yelp
Had a reservation, selected a table and noted it was a special occasion . We were seated at a high top at the bar not the dining room as requested. We were at our table for about 20 minutes before someone came to see of our waiter had been by, he had not. After another ten he appeared-no apology though they did treat us to one round of drinks . We were not offered bread like the other tables. We were also brought another tables food -two times. Obviously the staff are not trained properly. Our appetizers arrived after another long wait. They were tasty but very salty. When our meals arrived one dish had solidified sauce and was completely unappetizing-it had obviously been sitting for a while . The other meal was completely over cooked. After 15 minutes my meal was returned but I had to eat alone. Again no apologies. It was also extremely salty. Overall I would not dine here again. The atmosphere was nice but the service and food are not worth the prices or the aggravation.

Yelp
Hook and Ladder is a hotel bar & restaurant (in the Hotel West & Main, Conshohocken, Philadelphia) with local bartenders and wait staff. The staff are casual, friendly, and pleasantly talkative. The food is first class, the draft beer options are very respectable, and the spirits inventory is downright creative. The King Salmon is grilled, crisp, and so tasty! No, they don't give it away...but you do get what you pay for in Philly!
google avatar

Yelp
Just had a beer at the bar but the vibe was awesome and the staff very friendly (not sure what the other reviews are talking about!).
google avatar

Chon D.

Yelp
The atmosphere, service and food were top notch. I had their take on a French 75. It had vodka instead of gin and candied ginger. The burger is definitely an experience...wrapped in gold foil, onion rings, and lobster tail with a side of fries. Their only misstep was over cooking the burger. I ordered it medium well and it came out well. The bartender was knowledgeable and willing to adjust the cocktails to my liking. Our server Semaj was attentive and provided great recommendations when asked.

Yelp
What can I say? I'm hooked!!! My friend and I had the best experience here. The service was excellent. It's located on the second floor of the Hotel West and Main which is also great. Beautiful location with indoor and outdoor seating. Romantic, great ambiance but a bit noisy (not a big deal because everyone is having a great time). It's good for first dates, girls night, parents night out and whatever your need maybe. You can't go wrong. The food looked but we went for drinks. I'm nosy and saw a lot of empty plates. Must be a sign of good food...lol The server was attentive and the drinks were strong and beautifully made. P.S: go ahead and use the bathrooms.... They're nice and clean.

Allison J.

Yelp
I want to begin by saying this review is in no way a reflection of the hardworking staff or shift managers at Fall Fest, but rather a critique of the planning and direction from upper management. My boyfriend and I attended Fall Fest at Hotel West and Main on 10/25, and we were surprised by the lack of coordination from the event organizers. The only promotion we saw for the event was on social media stories and a brief mention on More Than the Curve. Considering that, it's impressive that attendees showed up at all, but given the lack of support from upper management, I'm glad the event wasn't any bigger. While sitting it's the bar, it became clear that the employees received limited information from the directors, with some even learning of the event and its details just before it began. However, while being woefully under supported, their attitudes never wavered. We've attended many local events where it feels like everyone, from directors to bussers, shares a unified vision and direction. Here, unfortunately, the lack of communication showed. Although someone had thoughtfully decorated the space for a festive "fall vibe," the staff was so overwhelmed it made it difficult for them to manage details, like children destroying the hay bales and pumpkins. I hope this serves as a learning opportunity for upper management to support their team more effectively in the future, but given other failed events we've attended here I doubt they will. With clearer communication and a bit more structure, this could become a well-loved community event.

Mark W.

Yelp
Drinks were awesome, but the burger was overcooked for a $99. The mash potatoes were not brought to the table. The waiter told us he comped them but we never got them. Not sure he understood the correct term verbiage to use. For the price I don't think I'd come back.

Yelp
1000000/10!!! I love this place! I've been here a few times and the staff is extremely kind and friendly, the food is TO DIE FOR, and the ambiance is really cool- it was built into an old historical fire station, and they've really leveled up the decor, making it a nice place to dine with remnants from the fire station. I'd highly encourage you to check this place out. I've gotten the ribs, spicy tuna bits, charcuterie plates and chicken in the past. All dishes and drinks I've tried have been amazing. Overall, great place to go for a nice meal :)

Yelp
I dined here this past weekend. I think the hostess name was Mariam. She was curt and gave a 10 minute wait. After giving her my name and number. She change the wait to a 25 minute. When I mentioned as to why it changed? Seeing they were several tables open. She laughed and did not respond. But that did not deter us. We went downstairs to wait on her text or call. And was waited on by a lady working in 1874. She was very sweet and accommodating. After hanging out down there for 45 minutes. We went back upstairs. And the same hostess sat us right away. No apology or even acknowledgment. But the waitress was amazingly attentive and personable! And the food was great! The Spicy Shrimp & Steak soup was yummy! The Crab cake was 90 percent lump crabmeat and the Bread Pudding was terrific!
google avatar

Gerald B.

Yelp
The menu was not the standard fare that you would find at a bar. The Wagyu Beef Carpaccio was delicious. I had the Wagyu with Foie Gras which was also delightful. The Crab Cake entree was good but not up to the standards of a good Maryland Crab Cake. The Bread Pudding was ok. We like people watching so our table was perfect. There is not a lot of shade on the Sky Bar.

Yelp
Dined for New Year's Eve. Ordered the tomahawk, $210 for 2, it barely fed 1 and I ordered medium rare and came out medium well. I told her as soon as it was cut in front of me it's over cooked and pretty much just got a head nod and nothing else. Apps took over an hour and it was not that crowded. Drinks were good and The server was nice. I've been here a couple times and I won't be going back. Always underwhelming and over priced for the quality you get.

Yelp
Hook & Ladder is an amazing addition to the Conshy restaurant scene. The vibe is classy/upscale and the service was fantastic. Even though this restaurant only opened 2 days ago, it already seems like an well oiled machine, which says a lot! Onto the food and drinks- honestly everything was delicious. We only ordered apps this go around, but we particularly enjoyed the French onion soup and bone marrow. Regardless, it doesn't seem like you will go wrong with anything you order. We will certainly be back for dinner soon!

Yelp
Fantastic decor. The ambiance is phenomenal. There is a warmth to the traditional ornate decor. The servers are all very polished Anthony was attentive and a gracious host. The 3 star dedication goes towards the food. We attended for Brunch. I ordered the Tuna Bite and the Arugula Salad. The Arugula Salad was light, deliciously flavored and balanced with cranberries with a freshly fried green tomato. The tuna bite was disastrous. The rice was gummy in texture as if it was made a day prior and then fried. The tuna wasn't flavorful even when eaten with the additional drizzle of mayo. My friend ordered the Eggs Benedict and the egg was over cooked (the yolk was cooked fully) and the potatoes were dry. I heard dinner may provide a more comprehensive experience.

Yelp
Fantastic little place with indoor and outdoor seating- great ambiance live music and phenomenal drink collection- I ordered a Roasted Shishito Pepper Infused Suntory toki Whisky and it was great! Service was excellent, thanks Semaj, you made it a perfect night!

Yelp
Had the pleasure of being served by Sean last night! We came in after a work event and he was so genuine and personable. He also made the best cosmo I have ever had! We will definitely be back to see him!

Yelp
Overall a very nice experience at Hook & Ladder! The drinks here are well crafted and flow with a seasonal menu. I have had several drinks here and all of them were delicious! The food was also impressive, I was very pleased with both soups specifically. Our table had the lobster bisque and french onion and both were notable. I am very picky with french onion and this one really blew me away. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were big enough for two to share. The only two missteps with the experience was the service and the bread. The bread was literally rock hard, and was difficult to even cut open. While this is a really small point, it's worth noting as all the other food was amazing! I think if the bread was a bit better it would really enhance the experience as who doesn't like a good crusty bread to dunk in their soup. As it goes for the service, the waitress kept forgetting about our table (even for a slow Monday night). It took a while to get our order placed and if we asked for something it was forgotten more than once. Other than that we were impressed with the restaurant and had a nice meal.

David G.

Yelp
First, it's not "sky." It's on the second floor. Haughty, pretentious, absurdly overpriced and the portions are Lillipiutian. It's probably where all the corporate visitors to Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen) are booked to see and be seen, but as a restaurant and in terms of quality and value, it's ghastly. Avoid.

Yelp
We absolutely loved the atmosphere here and the comforting views. The sunset casts perfectly while enjoying your company with great food and drinks. The live music really set it off. The staff were kind, helpful, knowledgeable and very consistent with us and made sure we had all we needed. We definitely intend to come back here.

Yelp
Dined at hook and ladder for a friend's birthday. The restaurant was able to accommodate for last min reservations for 5 on a Saturday night and was beautifully decorated. I'm writing this review because the server we had was hands down the best server my party and I have encountered! He described each dish, gave stellar recommendations, and even brought out champagne and after dinner drinks to help us celebrate. We had french onion soup, lobster, Chilean sea bass, and New York strip. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out in a timely manner. Thank you hook and ladder for an excellent night of food and service!!

Yelp
An exceptional experience start to finish. Came with a party of 13 for an 89th Birthday. Service was off the charts, appetizers were perfect. Had the steak board to share across the table as well as the American waygu and lobster and crab cakes. Everyone at the table raved about it all. Paul the hotel GM welcomed us, Jeff the manager was great and our server Creed could not have been more attentive and explanatory. Will be back for sure. What an excellent addition to the area. The decor and architecture is fantastic

Yelp
New menu spring 2024. Get the Japanese Wagyu or tomahawk for sure. Great waiter too.......
google avatar

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious, along with their alcoholic bevs. The spicy tuna bites were the best and alongside that, the crab was good as well. The only downfall I had with not giving a 5 star is how long we waited to receive our food. We made a reservation in advance, so seating was very quick. But we waited almost 1 hour to receive our dinner. The restaurant wasn't too busy at the time either. Other than that, the service was great! Would definitely come back for food/drinks.

Yelp
This was my second time here and even better then the first. We got there at 4pm just when they opened. They weren't crowded and we were seated right away. Funny we were sat in the spot I was at when I dined in April. We ordered the crab cake, truffled mashed potatoes and salmon. All of the food was good and hot. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I forgot his name! The ambience is nice especially to be a firehouse. Will come back again soon!

I was in town for a meeting so a group of us went here for dinner. The venue was nice and the hotel in which it is attached is nice. We order two charcuterie boards to share which were decent. I ordered a Cesar salad and grilled chicken. It was the best grilled chicken that I have had--it was very flavorful. The menu was limited. No one from our group got sucked into ordering the $99 burger.

Yelp
Initially I was very hesitant to trying this restaurant because the reviews were a little iffy... But I couldn't be more wrong! We started out with the beef carpaccio and it was hands down amazing! The braised beef ribs were outstanding with a great reduction sauce and a good amount of sides with it! We also got the NY strip which was super tender and juicy! Gambled a bit because we got no additional sides with the strip but it paid off since the braised beef ribs come with carrots and the truffle mashed potatoes! Both amazing! Service was absolutely impaccable as well. They had live music until 9 pm on Saturday night it the ambiance couldn't be better. Would greatly recommend! Btw bread pudding dessert was delicious!

Yelp
Great addition to the Conshy restaurant options. Bartenders were super friendly and drinks were excellent. Menu has lots of great options, and we really enjoyed the lobster bisque and tuna crudo. We had to try the $99 Fireman Burger - and it was quite good, though you're paying more for the gold and the truffle than for the quality of the burger patty itself. My biggest critique is that I'd love to see a regular priced burger at the upstairs restaurant.

Yelp
Cocktails are amazing, food is great only had small plates. Definitely on the expensive side & warn your bfs no hats allowed. Upscale ambiance, service is top of the line. Expect to spend a pretty penny for the experience.

Yelp
Food is high quality and for the most part, worth the high cost. The atmosphere in the restaurant is superb. Unmatched in Montco. My ranking is service based. No individual server we have had has been bad but the overall service in this restaurant is sub par. Examples: this is my 4th time coming, I have yet to get my drink order taken within 10 and drinks are never delivered within 10 extra minutes. A top tier restaurant gets a drink to the table in less than 20 minutes. Food delivery is slow and that's not bad when spending significant money but sometimes the wait is extreme. This last time visiting we had a 7:45 reservation and our entrees were not quite at the table at 9:15... no problem except we were told last call. Why in the world is a manager allowing a last call to occur before last entrees are out of the kitchen. Unacceptable. I really want to return to these restaurant but the service issues have to get fixed ASAP.

Yelp
3.5/5 if I could. Appetizers were a bit underwhelming and didn't seem very shareable. $210 for a tomahawk (they don't specify ounces or whether it's choice, prime, or better) is a bit of a stretch and the porterhouse being only a few dollars less (I think $195) also doesn't specify grading or ounces either, crazy. Barclay Prime in center city serves a 32oz prime dry aged porterhouse for $125 and they are one of the best steakhouses I've eaten at in the area. We had the spicy tuna bites, king salmon carpaccio, 1/2 dozen oysters and split the NY strip. Oysters were decent, but seemed to have been shucked improperly as there was little to no brine in the shell, tuna bites had a very mismatched ratio of tuna to tempura rice, I would suggest less rice even if it's the same amount of tuna, king salmon was good, would order again, and the steak we ordered medium rare and it came out medium at best. For $46, it should be spot on, especially because we had the chef pre cut it. Flaky salt was a nice touch though. Decent place, might go back for drinks but steak and food prices aren't worth the quality / quantity. I recently got a 40oz American gold grade wagyu tomahawk from snake river farms for half the price of what a tomahawk here costs.

Yelp
Came for drinks and appetizers - decent prices, food, and ambiance. The bar tender was very kind and we had a nice time overall. Would recommend

Yelp
My friend and I had dinner for the first time at Hook & Ladder. The place was absolutely beautiful! We were seated pretty quickly. The bar seating was nice but the chairs were a bit high which made it hard to push in. We ordered wine and appetizers. Everything came out timely and lovely. The beef carpaccio was a little under seasoned but otherwise delicious. The bread pudding was amazing. The table next to us had some extra guests so at times they were up against our table but otherwise it was a really wonderful treat. Would definitely go there again!

Yelp
Our dining experience at Hook & Ladder Sky Bar was fantastic. We dined on the outdoor patio with very comfortable seating, and a nice, relaxing view. Our server, Semaj W., was excellent. He was extremely accommodating, friendly and professional, and truly aided in making the meal enjoyable. We both ordered NY Strip steaks that were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and we shared the truffle mashed potatoes, herb butter asparagus and bread pudding - all of which were scrumptious. We will most definitely be back to try the short ribs, and we hope to have Semaj W. again.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this new "rooftop sky bar restaurant" in Conshohocken, as advertised on their website. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor with no views other than the courtyard between the hotel and the office building. The pricing reflects a fine dining experience, yet the majority of the tables are in the bar area with high tops - which at a fine dining establishment, If you have a dining area and then a bar area, typically, the menu and pricing differ since the experience isn't the same. Aside from the confusing marketing of the "sky bar restaurant," the service and food quality leave much to be desired. My friend and I ordered glasses of wine, and when we asked the server if the rosé was dry, she had no idea and brought a taste instead (fine, but again for a menu serving burgers at $99 you would expect the staff to be trained). Once we decided on the wine and received our glasses, we noticed the glasses were filthy - when we told the waitress, she apologized and brought a new glass to the table and proceeded to pour the wine from the dirty glasses into the new....... The new glass was still dirty...(picture attached) As if that wasn't bad enough, we began ordering our food. We asked questions about the sides - are they shareable? She says yes... there's three of us, so I ask, for 3? She says sure.. again appearing to not really understand the menu. They listed two different salmons on the menu, differing in three dollars, and we asked her what the difference was, and again, she could not answer the question. When we received our meals, I ordered the filet-mignon with a béarnaise sauce.. when it came out, the filet was luke warm and the béarnaise sauce was cold - cold to the point it you turned over the container they gave me it wouldn't even fall out if I shook it. When I asked the waitress about this, she told me that it should be cold, and the steak should be hot to which I replied the steak was barely warm, and I do not believe the béarnaise should be really cold... my sister got the "jumbo lump crab cake" which was not jumbo lump, there were no lumps of crab at all, it was dry and burnt. Not worth the price. Bad service. No rooftop....
