Breastaurant Chain Hooters Acquired by Two Private Equity Firms | Eater

"A long-running restaurant chain long associated with revealing server uniforms and dated dining-room design, it was run by Atlanta businessman Robert H. Brooks and his family for nearly three decades before being sold to investment groups in 2011; it recently changed hands again in a purchase by Nord Bay Capital and TriArtisan Capital Advisors (with Chanticleer and H.I.G. retaining stakes). The company operates roughly 430 restaurants in 27 countries, has closed about 7% of its locations over a recent four-year period, and is pursuing a brand-wide rethink because elements from the name to the room design and server attire are seen as out of step with younger diners. Leadership says the sale terms were not disclosed but that the business plans further development of new concepts after encouraging early results." - Greg Morabito

Very disappointed that Hooters corporate office does not do nothing when a safety issue was reported in a review under the coral gables location. Water still running on the floor by the bar area facing the customers chairs and the fan still not working outside area. This is in Miami Florida location Coral Gables. More than three weeks that has been reported and the manager does not care Corporate office should evaluate the managers at that location and make necessary changes to keep customers safe. The city of coral gables will have to get involved in this matter.

My favorite restaurant. Ive been a loyal customer since 1995. I have visited over 15 locations and still going (maybe). This location was fun, server was attentive and engaging. Food was hot, beer was cold. BUT I am extremely disappointed in the new direction of the new (old) ownership. What they are doing to this brand is SHAMEFUL!!!

Went to a Hooters in Cedar Hill Texas and had the worst service. Waited for over an hour and never received food. Talked to Manager and was told she only had 2 waiters but all the people that came in after us had received food. Our food was still not ready. Waitress forgot to place our order and manager didn’t even forgive our drinks we left the place and will not be going back.

Garbage. I’m in cedar hill and order wings which y’all changed the price lower but then charge for ranch not extra just the first one. I will not be back y’all are committing business suicide. And the beers are over priced at lunch. My business will go to twin peaks from here on out.

Went with a couple of my girlfriends and I can say we will not be coming back. We were greeted nicely by our server, however, one of the managers Tiana, gave us nasty glances the entire time we were sat, and continued walking by wihrout checking on our service. When trying to get the attention of another manager, Tonia, we were greeted by the same hostility, and our server had to apologize on our behalf. Will not be coming back to my establishment.

I use to work there 2 years ago and went on maternity leave never received paperwork to show I was on it and I watched a video about it Ryan the manager is so unprofessional I just called in to get a statement to show I have proof I was on maternity leave and I still receive mail from hooters but he saying I don’t work there I feel like he shouldn’t even be the manager main reason why I wanted to take a break!

My recent experience at your Hooters location on Veteran's Day. As a veteran, I was looking forward to this special day where veterans can enjoy a free meal as a gesture of appreciation for our service. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory due to the behavior of one of your employees, Philan. During my visit, it became apparent that she was unhappy with the complimentary meals being offered to veterans. This attitude was not only evident in her demeanor towards me, but she also expressed her feelings to another customer seated nearby. The other customer sympathized with Philan and suggested I should tip her extra because it was her birthday. While I understand that everyone has personal feelings, I don’t believe that it is appropriate to reward poor service or an unpleasant attitude, especially when I felt like an inconvenience during what should have been a celebratory occasion. Additionally, I noticed a discrepancy regarding my order; I requested a Coke, as I had to purchase a drink to qualify for the free meal. However, I was charged $4.00 for a Starry drink instead. This further contributed to my disappointment with the overall service. While I understand that working in the service industry can be challenging, I believe it's essential for staff to remain professional and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. I hope my feedback will lead to positive changes at the Cumberland-1004 Hooters location, ensuring that future customers, particularly veterans, are treated with the respect and appreciation they deserve.
