"Earlier in 2016, Sam & Duncan opened the giant roller door to the instantly-popular brew bar, Hop Nation. The warehouse is located in a thick of factories in industrial Footscray. It also sits along an unofficial westside craft beer crawl, between stops at Two Birds in Spotswood and the well-stocked taps at Bar Josephine or The Night Heron (maybe grab a West City ale to stick with the local theme?) The cathedral-like space is seriously impressive, with a huge mezzanine overlooking the magical beer factory below. In a bid to make sure you never leave (as if you needed a reason!), there will often be a food truck parked out the front. They have found themselves amongst plenty of "Best of" lists and a loving place in our fridge. Current recommendation: ‘The Punch’ Mango Gose. But if you happen to read this during winter, let’s pray to the hop-gods that the barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout has been resurrected.

What a vibe. Came on a busy Saturday night and the place was pumping. Incredible deep dish pizza, reasonable beer prices, super friendly staff, and great tunes. Seems like a popular place but after 5 minutes here you can see why. Great spot for a casual catch up with friends.

Hop Nation has over 12 beer brews to try with tasting paddles to make experience a real treat. To wash it down there is a restaurant with some great pan fried pizzas which were wonderful.
A great night out

We have always loved Hop Nation for its fantastic beers, so we were excited to see that it now offers dining options. We tried the All American Square and the Cosacca. Both pizzas were packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the beers.
The service was fast and friendly.
While the square pizza was a bit more doughy than we prefer, it was still delicious. We’ll be coming back for more pizza and, of course, their amazing beers!

We had the most fantastic experience at Hop Nation over the GF weekend. Super delicious spread of exceptionally brewed beers, excellent wood fired pizzas and the staff were just lovely. Great vibe and atmosphere all through the afternoon. We left with a couple takeaway tins and a funky Hop Nation t-shirt.
The coconut pastry stout is INSANE as well. If it’s pouring, don’t miss it.
Can’t wait to return here with a bunch of friends. Huge props to all the team involved at Hop Nation.

Wonderful selection of stout. The Buzz is a refreshing hop-laden red/amber ale. Their imaginative and tasty range of stouts pays respect to and extends the rich caramel tastes that we happily explored to our hearts content. So should you!
The lovely wood fired pizza only added to a very happy experience indeed. 5 stars 😎

By far the best beers we’ve found in Melbourne, coming from NZ where we get the very hoppy hazy’s this hit the spot big time! Having dreams about a deep dish pizza we had in Santa Cruz once we didn’t think we’d ever find a pizza like it, however the deep dish pizzas here were far superior!!
Amazing spot and friendly staff please make an effort to get out of the city and visit these guys its worth it!!

The Melbourne black is Australia's Guinness (but better) A perfect easy creamy beer.

A great brewery. We found it in the beer passport and ended up there for the arvo drinking and enjoying food.
Try the Melbourne black. I don't really like dark beers and found it amazing.
