Yelp
Two stars because the beer is actually decent and they give a 10% military discount. However, we didn't appreciate the dishonesty of the bartender (Steve?). BEWARE - he might charge you more and potentially forge the total on the receipt.
Friend and I ordered 4 beers total, and they were priced anywhere from $6-$8 per pint. Upon receiving the check, I noticed we got charged $8 for each beer even though a couple pints were cheaper and we didn't just drink the same exact beer the whole time. It wasn't a matter of a couple dollars at all, more of a principle. I politely brought it up with the bartender, and instead of correcting the check to reflect the proper beers/prices, he just said "No, these are the beers you ordered" and went about his business. We were the only 2 people in the brewery for a while (a couple more people came later), so it wasn't a busy environment where things like this could be written off either. BUT this is not where the cheating ended. My total was $34.13 (no tip due to poor service, and I rarely do this). Given the experience we already had, I got that weird gut feeling I should take a photo of the check before leaving. Boy was I right. Our bartender friend arbitrarily DECIDED TO TIP HIMSELF $5.00, which I only noticed today when looking at my transactions on the bank app since the total showed $39.13 instead of what I had signed for. See photo attached. Yes it's a cleared (not pending) transaction and it's been 4 days since our visit. There is another transaction from Hop Nuts on there too for some reason, but it was canceled out, so that's fine, I guess.
I understand it's tough times, but in the long run, you won't get more business by charging customers for the highest priced pints when they ordered cheaper pints too to get higher check totals for your tip (which you only didn't get because we caught you cheating already and you refused to take responsibility and fix things). And credit card fraud is just never okay.
