Google
This is your typical " hole in wall" chinese food restaurant. A lot of repeat customers just order to go. They always have fresh food. If Im craving a chinese food, with 🤭😚😅lots of msg/oyster sauce? I go here. Although, customer service is expected for the area. You'll understand when you go.😅🫡. But, I go for the food and price, not customer service.

Google
These people were just plain rude ! They may have been a little busy but that's no excuse. And we normally get our Chinese food over on Emerson Street at the Hot Wok next to Wackos which is 10 times better than they are very friendly also. I don't think I'll be going to the Hop Shing again anytime soon.

Google
Egg foo young with pork fried rice was not so fresh egg was burnt cooked too long or even tasted as if it could've even been reheated. not a good choice to grab and go from there that Friday.

Google
Got chicken teriyaki on stick, crab rangoons and lo mein. Chicken on stick was a 1 out of 5, kinda weird flavor. The crab rangoons were runny. Liquid in the middle. When I went to show the lady, she was obviously offended. Like ma'am, yall cooked that, not me. Had to get my money back for those. Also, the cook sneezed right into his hand and continued cooking the next person's meal as I was getting my refund. Waste of money. Not worth it. Save your money!!!

Google
I had the general tso chicken with some good and tasty veggies lol mein. This had the perfect spice, season, and portion for a lunch bowl. The only down side I would say is I do not like their teriyaki sauce. I ordered some on the side and it's vinegary and bitter. The food itself was very delicious.

Google
Order a bbq wings extra crispy which are general tso wings, they were the best in town also got fried rice could’ve been better but missing egg and alittle bland

Google
Prices have continued to climb and the food doesn’t taste as good as it used to over the past year or so.

Google
This place has gone downhill. I got the Bourbon chicken, and they only gave me 13 small pieces of chicken. They used to give a lot more, but I guess they're trying to save money by cheating us customers. I'll never go here again.

Yelp
Shrimp egg foo young.. You have to get it just right.. or the egg will taste funny and the gravy has to spot on or it will taste too oily.. Hop Shing gets it right every single time... Ive been eating here for years and they are consistently delicious.

Yelp
Hop Shing is our SPOT for Chinese takeout. We've never had a bad meal from here. I'm particularly a fan of the General Tso's and Bourbon Chicken, as well as the Singapore Mei Fun. Make sure to grab your free sweet tea from the fridge if your order is over $40 AND you pay in cash. It can get quite hopping from Thursday-Saturday nights, so just make sure you bring your patience when you go to pick up your food since you might be waiting a minute.

Yelp
Hop Shing is great for exactly what they are Americanized Chinese street/ fast food. Reminds me of all my favorite NY spot when I'm craving We usually get chicken wings or sweet and sour chicken and veggie lomein.

Yelp

Yelp
It's your typical takeout spot in the hood. What more can you except? It's either a hit or miss but this was a hit for me.

Yelp
Not feeling well today but I needed to eat so I decided on the Pu Pu Platter with veggie fried rice. I still feel bad but I'm full of delicious yumminess. This darn thing was like Ragu...it was all in there. A typical pupu platter, as found in American Chinese cuisine, include an egg roll, spare ribs, chicken wings, chicken fingers, beef teriyaki, skewered beef, fried wontons, crab rangoon, fried shrimp. I really enjoyed it....if you get the Pu Pu Platter it's enough for 2 or you can split it into 2 meals like it did...but don't tell anyone I did that.

Yelp
Me: I'd like to order 1 small veg. Lomein and 6 wings please. Lady: 17:54. Me: WHAT. The lady could not even give me a breakdown in cost for the wings, until I did.these wings better make me fly or bring me good luck b/c at $2 per wing that's outrageous and they were small as hell. No thanks never ever again. They don't even carry Mumbo sauce get with the times Florida. The lomein had all the soy one could ask for smdh. I don't see what the hype is about. Guess I'll be frying my wings and making my Lomein. Keep your money or buy a bread you'll feel better.

Yelp
Don't go on a Friday night, 10/15 minutes is just the standard for them to say on the phone. If you can deal with the long wait after you order the place is okay. Normal Chinese food nothing special about it. Just 4 booths for dining in but honestly most of the time it's just people sitting waiting for there pick ups.

Sharon L.

Yelp
Save your money. We couldn't eat the hard yellow rice with shrimp. It was a far cry from shrimp fried rice. The dumpling mixture was made with old meat. So disappointed.

Yelp
Food is standard takeout Chinese food in terms of quality and price. Basically nothing incredible but hits the spot when Chinese takeout is what you want. Customer service left me really disappointed. I would have given 4 stars but instead only 3 due to the service. When I arrived to pick up my food I was ignored for a solid 2-3 minutes despite an employee being feet away. They were busy so, I let it go. But, then when I did receive assistance it was pretty poor. Received my food in a paper bag with no plastic bag. Anyone who knows Chinese food knows that it's prone to leaking....so I asked for the bag to be put inside of a plastic bag. Instead I got a plastic bag tossed at me and the employee just walked away. I guess my business is easily brushed off. Whatever--food is good enough but service is totally lacking.

Yelp
Wow. I've lived in Jax for 23 years and I'm Asian and I swear this is THE BEST chinese take out I have EVER had!!! The prices aren't only the lowest I've came across in this city but the quality of food was beyond expectations! I'm super picky about food because I have a passion for cooking and Hop Shing rose my standards for Chinese take out indefinitely. I ordered the wonton soup, wonton egg drop soup, vegetable lo mein, and beef with vegetables. JUST WOW. Everything was DELICIOUS! They have definitely earned a life long customer! Thank you Hop Shing! Amazing food!

Yelp
I ask for plain lo mein and they gave me house lo mein. I'm very picky about what i eat and it was disgusting, 0 out of 10 how do you get those confused?
google avatar

Yelp
Real Good Fresh Food!!!..I Love it!..and they don't keep you waiting long..I recommend the house special egg foo young with rice..the gravy is killer

Ceairra A.

Yelp
I ordered the honey chicken combo and substituted the rice for plain lo mein ! I got shrimp lo mein and I'm allergic to shell fish! I was wondering why my total was 10 dollars and some change...I'm highly disappointed! The chicken, egg rolls and the spring rolls were yummy! Sad I didn't get to enjoy my noodles I was already home when I realized my food was incorrect!
