Hopdoddy Burger Bar

Needed a place nearby to grab a good lunch with 3 hungry kids after riding the Forest Park Mini Train in Trinity Park, and Hopdoddy's was right across the street from the park and had a menu that catered to what all 3 kids wanted for their lunch. First time there. I tried the Cadillac Wagyu burger and Nacho Fries. The burger was very good, but honestly didn't notice much of a difference between Wagyu and a regular quality beef burger. The fries were a bit salty, and honestly lacked any nacho flavor and the cheese sauce on them was sparse. I should have tried the Truffle Fries instead. The grandkids had a salad with grilled chicken (my granddaughter was happy with it), kids chicken tenders meal (grand was very happy with it) and a kids cheeseburger meal (grandson very happy with it). The waiter was very attentive, and the kids were so happy and interactive with him that he gave them Oreo cookie milkshakes on the house. Talk about REALLY happy kiddos after that, LOL. The milkshakes were actually sinfully delicious! Atmosphere/ambiance is lackluster and could be a little better to capitalize on the Ft Worth rancher theme. And it's confusing when you come in because you seat yourself and have to order at the counter, then a waiter or waitress brings you your food. Was about $70 with tip for the 4 of us. Overall a good experience despite my disappointment with the Nacho Fries. I would likely go back so I could try different burgers and the Truffle Fries.

Great specialty hamburger restaurant along Camp Bowie boulevard with free parking lot behind the restaurant. They have a number of specials hamburgers or you can custom build your own. Their specialty fries are the absolute best. The shareable ones come in big stainless steel bowls and are enough for the whole table. Definitely one of my favorite hamburger places. Don't get the El Diablo unless you really like it hot. Highly recommend.

In Dallas for a week, Someone mentioned this burger spot. Burgers are really good and truffle fries was delish, the regular fries were a bit too salty for my liking. Overall very good.

Hopdoddy never disappoints! The burgers are always juicy and flavorful, and the truffle fries are a must. Portions are generous—it’s definitely a lot of food, so come hungry. Great vibe, friendly staff, and fast service even during busy hours. One of my go-to spots for a quality burger.

The burgers were really good and the sweeat potato fries were actually not bad (I don't like sweet potatoes). I'm giving my visit 4 stars because they were out of normal fries when we were there. That's a burger place staple that shouldn't have been unavailable. I'll have to try again another day to taste the fries.

A chill place to go dine at, we ordered the bacon jam burger with grilled jalapeños, the classic with cheese and bacon added, the Parmesan fries, an angry orchard bottle and a drink they had I believed it was called the pink man? Food was pretty tasty, although I did remember coming here a few years ago and swore the burgers were bigger than that, definitely had PLENTY of room left for dessert. The drink was pretty good, a little too spicy for my taste but that’s what I get for not reading the menu correctly. Overall my experience was nice and would definitely return, perhaps order two burgers this time!

Man this place is amazing! For it to be a burger joint they have some really good items on the menu that are healthy. I had the thunderbird salad and it was the bomb! Hugo the manager was super charismatic, attentive and extremely friendly. Definitely coming back. The bartender Natalie was so on point. Great place!

Food tasted great! Our fries came out first, way before our burgers, which is being nit picky, but just wish it would've been with our burgers. Service was just okay. We had a weird encounter with one of the workers there who kept cleaning our table as we were still eating and we told him on 3 different occasions we weren't done.

Cesar was so kind! I couldn't eat the El Diablo burger because it was too spicy and Cesar came to check in on us and he replaced my burger with no questions asked. Service was phenomenal.

So I finally got back around to giving hopdoddy another shot and this time was better, I ordered the double bacon jam burger and parmesan truffle fries. The burger is a bit sloppy but tasty none the less, the bacon jam is good stuff and it was cooked medium rare as requested which is always a plus as I'm not a fan of a cooked through Patty. The Parmesan Truffle fries were delicious as I would expect lol hard to me up those flavors, I asked for the Truffle aioli on the side and I'm glad I did cause it's a strong flavor and I enjoyed just dipping the fries in it. Overall hopdoddy improved from my first visit, although I don't think it'll become my go to it's still a place that's worth trying if you live close to one.

The burgers are delicious and fresh! The parm fries are also perfect! There was a slight wait, but nothing to complain about.

Great experience at Hop Doddy! We were celebrating a birthday and everyone loved what they ordered. It seems you just can't go wrong? The restaurant was clean, staff was super friendly and Jose was great at explaining options from the many choices on the menu. The Hot Honey & Sage Brussels were delectable!!!

Double Bacon Jam, Mother Nature, Sweet potato fries, traditional fries. Burgers were okay. Very nice patio views. The strawberry margarita was really good. & they have the Best sweet potato fries.

The burgers are great, although I was unimpressed with the black bean patty. This is a fast casual, order at the counter restaurant. We usually sit at the bar, which provides full service (no need to order at the counter). They used to have an excellent Happy Hour where the entire menu was half off, but they no longer offer that. Overall, in a world of fancy burgers, this place is pretty good.

Hopdoddy never disappoints. The parm fries and green chili queso is a must. The ahi tuna burger with the wasabi crisp is by far my favorite burger on the menu.

3 people $65 for burgers yes they were good but come on that's too much - I might be back but by my self fries are good but also expensive and separate from the burger mine were a little over cooked so they were small and kinda hard - also the tip amount is ridiculous they don't have servers you just order in line and sit and wait for your food and they were recommending a $14 tip???? I think it's a little over priced but the food is good.

The food is great and the service is efficient. Music, televisions and nice booths make it enjoyable!

I'm usually a fan of Hopdoddy, being to several locations throughout the US. Unfortunately, this visit (10/14) missed the mark. I was staying at a hotel right down the street, so I opted to take my order to go. This was a Saturday night, so I knew it was going to be busy. Taking it to go was the best option. I had my eyes set on the buffalo fries and a turkey burger. Placed the order to go on their website and I walked over. I arrived a little early, so I got to sit at the bar and what the kitchen make all the orders. The first disappointment was seeing the fries ready to, just as soon as I got there. Now they are sitting, in sauce, waiting for the burger to be finished. Not a good thing. Finally, they got around preparing the turkey burger and I was out the door, a little late than promised. No biggie, I get it. It's busy. And a 5 minute walk back to the hotel and im ready to dive in. And, as I expected, the fries were not hot, and they were soggy. So, I had to stick them in the microwave to heat them up. The turkey burger was still hot. But, the flavor(s) seemed a bit off. Just a weird taste. And, it was more like a smash burger. No thickness whatsoever. Oh well, took one for the team. I should have went with my gut and gone to Rodeo Goat instead.

We are here with our son and DIL. I loved my burger and the Parmesan/Truffle fries were really good. I got the goat cheese burger and it was amazing. The goat cheese was melted and oozy. Definitely recommend

Hopdoddy is delicious all around. I didn't enjoy it quite as much this time because I got the lettuce wrapped burger and it just didn't hit the same, but it's no fault of theirs. I should've just committed. Lol. I did also try the green chili queso fries and honestly they weren't as good as the truffle Parmesan fries but they were still good. I really love their chipotle ketchup and horseradish honey mustard.

Stopped on a weekend for late lunch. They have order, pay and seat system. We ordered El Diablo with Veggie Patty, and Regular El Diablo, Large fries and chocolate and cookies and cream shake for kids. They did not have chicken for kids menu. El diablo packs a punch with the heat, but was awesome, fries were good. Cookies and cream Milk shake was awesome. Chocolate milk shake was meh I would avoid it. Overall a good experience.

The food the service the atmosphere is fine. I just didn't find anything special about it.

Because.... only heaven gets 5 * I got the ahi tuna. It's super yummy. Don't know if 15$ is justified though.

The Best 7th street has to offer.. THE GOAT of Burgers for sure. Easy to order, walk up and look at the simple menu, and order your fave burger. In no time its at your table. The Burgers are medium well, unless you tell them otherwise. The buns are toasted to perfection, the sauce is oozing as it should and the veggies on the burger - perfectly crunchy. The fries are fresh and flavored beautifully! the Large is perfect for 2 people maybe more. Only one complaint. everything is separate, no "combos" here. so be ready to pay for every thing you add... and trust me.. ITS WORTH IT!

I was just introduced to Hopdoddy and I was totally impressed with the quality. It was mid week and that location wasn't nearly as busy as this one. That said, a slight miss here today. We ordered the fries with queso. The queso was delicious but the fries were served look warm and "wobbly". A big miss because I thoroughly enjoyed them at the other location. I ordered the bacon jam double, no bacon jam though with mustard onions, Lettuce Tomato and extra pickle. Burger arrived with no lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. It actually also had the bacon jam on it. The waitress brought me a side of lettuce and tomatoes. The quality of the ground beef is fantastic and taste really good. My sis ordered the classic and loved it. She had a chocolate shake as well. This restaurant was packed and had a consistent line. It's 5 minutes from where I live now. For $40 I expect more.

I love HopDoddy 's hamburgers and fries. Just the basic classic cheeseburger is always good as are the fries. On Friday, I had a taste for a hamburger and fries and I needed to go to Tom Thumb. So HopDoddy it was! When I got inside, I was ready to order my cheeseburger and fries. Then I made the mistake of looking at the menu. New!!! Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. I bit. Ordered the chicken sandwich and fries. Mistake! First they have great fries but please explain to me why they were bringing out people's fries without their sandwich. I want my fries and sandwich...together. By the time my sandwich got out my fries were over half eaten and cold. On to the chicken sandwich. When she brought it out, I noticed the size and shape of the chicken. It was a weird shape and size, looked like it had been sliced off a wedge of chicken like meat. Next it wasn't breaded. Thirdly it was as close to Nashville hot chicken as I am to Halle Berry. Chicken fry, tasteless and suspect as to what good group it belonged. All in all, bad choice for lunch. When you choose HopDoddy, choose a burger. Looking for Nashville Hot Chicken, try The Cookshack. I take full responsibility

The gluten free hamburgers are amazing. Buns are freshly cooked everyday. The service is excellent. Clean. Love the fries too

I was really craving a good burger with caramelized onion and I would have to say that Hopdoddy definitely delivered! It was so delicious and I absolutely loved the vibe of the store as well! I ordered it as takeout and the process to order online was so easy and the order was ready by the time I got there. The staff were friendly and I had no complaints at all. If you're craving something quick and a good burger I would definitely recommend them!

I finally got to try this place after living in Fort Worth for about three years. It was actually OK. And this is coming from a person who does not eat any hamburgers, cheeseburgers or anything like that. They did a good job there are a lot of parking spots but keep in mind it is behind the actual entrance, so park there and walk around to the front which is by the street light. To be honest there is not enough choices on the menu in my opinion. Now they do have a lot of draft beer options, but when it comes to the burgers or even the sides there is not a lot of options. And that could be a result of Covid as a lot of restaurants have reduced their menu. Speaking from my standpoint I just wish they were more options. Give me something like chicken tenders or whatever. Sell some chips? Lol. I did happen to see that they were doing the menu by your phone, so make sure you have your phone so you can scan the barcode to pull up the menu. They are enforcing mask so please make sure you are wearing your mask until you get to your table. They spaced out crowds pretty well, we did not sit next to anybody which we were really pleased with. I had the Aji tuna burger which was really good, the wasabi chips on top really set it off. And the sweet potato fries are really tasty. All the other burgers in the pictures that I posted were enjoyed by my family! I honestly would come back, and like I said I wish they would have more choices. But it was still a really nice lunch.

My daughter and I came decided to come here after a morning of running errands and I'm glad we did! I ordered the thunderbird my daughter ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, we shared a order of Honey Hot sage fries and before we left she had the Nutella shake and I had the candy bar shake ( don't quote me on the names ) . First coming into the restaurant it was freezing so we placed our order and ate outside . The patio was nice clean and bug-less! The fries came out first . They were hot and fresh! I never had kind of sweet potatoe fries .. they were spicy with a hint of sweetness. I have to say tho we couldn't taste the sage at all but that was fine because it was so good. About 4 mins later our burgers arrived! The thunder bird was so good . You get a nice toasted bun, a chicken Pattie ( similar to a hamburger Pattie I loved it ) , avocado slice, a slice of thick cut bacon, some cheese ( which I could taste and I'm fine with it ), pico ,and mayo. This burger was immaculate! I will say they drowned the bottom bun in mayo so I should have said light mayo . Now my daughter's Nashville hot sandwich was not just fresh but spicy! It was seasoned to the T ! And the pickles seemed like they were home made! If you love spicy get this because it will definitely make ya nose run! The food was definitely worth the drive and the price ! We will definitely be back when we have our next mother daughter shopping day! O the shakes .. the shakes to me were ok.. it's because I don't like sweet stuff and it was so sweet .. my candy bar had .. Carmel, chocolate, candy pieces , whipped cream .. I couldn't finish it . But if you have a sweet tooth check them out !

It been a few months since I've had ur burgers, in use to love then in the pass but on 5/9/24 on a take out order at the restaurant off Glad rd in Euless tx . Both burgers were very dry, not hot including the fresh. ​The order was under Cornell about 8 pm. My last time eating eating at ur restaurant.

Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Service was good. Burger was okay. Standard. Not a bad place to take your team out for lunch or hang out.

A friend recommended this place to my bf and I. We ordered the sweet potato fries, llano Poblano and the thunder bird. Drinks were self serve. We decided to sit outside on the patio with very clean seating. We shortly waited about 10 mins for our food to arrive. The sweet potato fries were so fresh, crispy, and delicious especially with the sauce they serve on the side with it. The thunderbird was juicy and flavorful. The llano poblano was also juicy, meaty, and delicious. Overall 10/10 we will be back!

Trying to add up charges to their burgers that are not listed on the menu. I pay what is on the menu only. They don't wait on you, but they want a tip. Laughable

Best burger in Fort What a delicious surprise, two real beef patty grilled to perfection so juicy and tender . The cheese melted perfectly, fresh lettuce. With a load of delicious french fries . I loved the special touch of a branded bun :) It's a hidden gem !

I am a fan of Hopdoddy's, but this location needs some work. Service was on par. If you aren't aware, they have a $5 burger and drinks/starters during happy hour. I've tried most of the burgers here, and you can't go wrong. The burgers have shrunken over the years. My go-to is the Goodnight Good Cause. We ordered Truffle Parmesan Fries and Sweet Potato Fries. Both are normally so good, but this time they were over cooked and burnt. So hard and awful.. I was sad. Not sure if this was a one time thing, but based on other reviews it doesn't seem to be.

I feel like we end up at Hopdoddy when we can't decide where to go. A burger and fries (and a bar) pretty much always sound good, sooo.. Hopdoddy consistently satisfies! We ate here recently and another day we ordered delivery. I usually get the "good night good cause" burger. A portion of the proceeds benefit a local non-profit, and the burger is right up my alley. Cheese, jalapenos, caramelized onions, and a "caffeinated" barbecue sauce. It's really delicious! I'm also a big fan of the hot honey & sage sweet potato fries. That's my kind of flavor combo: spicy, sweet, and super herbaceous. Jon ordered the green chile queso fries last time, which were good, but not my favorite. I'm not really a fries with queso kinda person, I much prefer a crunchy chip if I'm dipping into something. The staff was great and service was quick. You order and pay at the counter, then find a seat. All very casual. If there's a bartender you can order at the bar. They have a decent selection of beers and ciders, and quite a few cocktails (mostly margaritas).

I came in yesterday for the first time and the boy with the curly hair was so helpful when we were confused about the menu. he recommended the Mother Nature and the Parmesan truffle fries and it was amazing.

Haven't been to Hopdoddy since before the pandemic started. I have always had high expectations from Hopdoddy especially since everytime we go as a family of 5 we are close to the $100 range. And for a lunch it's kind of pricey. But we are willing to pay for quality. What an utter disappointment in food quality. The service was definitely a 4 star, and I typically tip well even before I receive my food because the service industry is hurting and everybody could use a break. As a family of 5 we ordered 4 burgers, truffle fries X2, nacho fries some drinks and alcohol. Margarita was horrid as I took a sip of my wife's drink. Way too heavy on the liquor. Typically that is a good thing, but making a drink too strong and not tasting like a margarita ruins the drink. The bartender looked a little lost. She was standing around waiting for somebody like she was in training or something. I wanted a Jim beam and coke, but no Jim beam and settled for a jack and coke which lucky for Is pretty hard mess up. Truffle fries. Literally the fries are what brings us back to Hopdoddy. We have eaten at almost every Hopdoddy location across DFW and this one we return to since it's close to Dream Park and that's where we take our kids. What a horrible hot mess. The fries were so horrible, almost to the point where they tasted stale that even my 7 yr old vacuum of a son who will literally eat anything wouldn't touch more than 5 sticks. It wasn't just the truffle fries it was both orders of truffle fries, the nacho ones, and the fries that came with the burgers. I rarely, complain. But man we couldn't eat the fries. We flagged somebody down and asked if the fries could be redone and without hesitation he took the fries away. All of them. He came back like 5 minutes later and stood there asking for us to try the ones he brought. We didn't want to be rude. We did a taste test and said it was slightly better. He told us that they had changed recipes which I find that hard to believe. I have spent many a years working a fryer at restaurants in high school and through college and I tell you the fry oil needed to be changed. Literally the fry oil was at the end of its life and truffle fries were probably diluted with martinet or butter. The combination of truffles diluted and fry oil at the end of life or filtered one too many times has lost your place a customer. It shows that management for your restaurant cares a little much about the bottom line than it should. Yes the economy is hurting. Yes food inflation is bad. But I tell you I wouldn't mind paying a little more if I can get the quality. I won't return to this Hopdoddy again.

Your money's not good here. No really. Don't come here if you want to pay with cash. Seriously. They are cashless and will actually turn away customers with exact change and everything for having committed the sin of not having a card with them. No really. Apparently that's a thing now. It's not a speed thing. There was no one else in line. It's not a health thing. It's a restaurant so they have plenty of gloves. It's a stupid thing. Yes, really.

Always a solid choice for a variety of burger options. Good location near Trinity Park and a other retail options.

Walk up ordering with assigned seating. Burgers were Hella greasy but they were ok. Far from the best I've has but also not too shabby either. Right smack down the middle for Taste. The grease made the bun soggy amd couldn't keep it together so it was hard to enjoy. We tried a few of the fry options, the hot honey sweet potato and the parmesan sage which were both an ample serving from a large bowl. They have a sauce bar with homemade options which was a nice touch. I'd say the fries are the standout over the burger. If it wasn't for the fries, my review would be lower because the burger just wasn't anything I haven't had before of you catch my meaning. Good but still not my go-to for burgers.

Back here again, immediately-eating-in-the-car version! That first bite into the burgers when we were starving, yall... Had to get the Llano Poblano again, what a classic choice for HopDoddy! It was as juicy and flavorful as I remembered and did not make me feel heavy afterwards. Not sure if this is possible, but I might just prefer their El Diablo burger! It was the spicy kick that paired well with the caramelized onions and chipotle aioli sauce that really sealed the deal for me. Each bite gave enough of a flavor explosion for sure! I wanted to give Hopdoddy a try since I have heard how great the burgers are. Well, I was not pleased. For starters I do not like raw hamburger meat and that is what they severed me. And the meat did not have much seasoning almost had no taste. I tried the poblano pepper burger and it only had a small little pepper on one side of the burger. Almost no sauce very dry. I almost went back up for more sauce. I wish I did maybe that would have helped the burger. The price is steep and for the size and the items on the burger not worth the cost. Fries not included. The fries serve 3 to 4 people and cost around 7.25 dollars. I do not want that many fries but no choice. I tried the truffle fries they were very good at first but as they got cold I lost the taste for them. The service was good order at the counter then sat. They bring food out and check up on you to see how things are. We paid 32.00 dollars for lunch 2 burgers a fry and 2 sodas. I would have been happier at Whataburger or In and Out and paid less then 20.00 dollars. Sorry not for me.

Solid burger joint right off of W7th. Tried something new, the Nashville chicken sandwich and I've gotta say it was good... but not Nashville. Perfectly cooked chicken, nicely seasoned, thick crunchy pickles, and a pillowy bun.

This company should be ashamed of the kid drink that the send out. The burger and fries are regular size but the drink is the same that they out sauce in. It was gone in one sip. The entire meal was cold when we got it.
