Hopdoddy Burger Bar

It was an amazing and chill experience. I sat outside be a of my dog. We had a bear and a goodnight burger, and wagyu smash burger. Both of the burgers were just delicious.

Went in on a Tuesday evening, and the atmosphere was very nice! The menus are ready and available! You order first then you grab a table, and are able to get alcohol drinks as well! MUST ADD THE CRUNCHY ONIONS

Truffle fries to die for! So delicious! Seemed understaffed because of how one guy seemed to be servicing all the tables and stressed! Bless his heart! He did wonderfully! You should relieve him by hiring more. The guy at checkout seemed stressed too! I want to make this my favorite burger joint because of the flavor and quality of food but you guys gotta do better with the atmosphere and building morale with the staff. It was pretty evident and from how management was eyeballing them, one could tell that it wasn’t smooth sailing

Hopdoddy never disappoints. The burgers are always fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The truffle fries are a must. Great vibe, quick service, and solid drinks. Perfect spot for a casual bite.

Food and drink have good portions and are delicious for the price. Burger is juicy, flavorful, and fresh. Both regular and sweet potato fries were tasty and I am not usually a sweet potato fry person. I recommend getting their frozen margaritas especially strawberry it is refreshing and they put a good amount of alcohol in it. Staff are welcoming, helpful, and the restaurant is clean.

Very good food, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Came here as a large group and Ryan made sure every single person got what they wanted. The food came out very fast, and they were delicious. I got the double bacon jam burger, with hot honey and sage fries, enjoyed both of them.

First going to get the place but today i just wanted the hot honey & sage brussel sprouts! I thought it would be the full brussel but instead it was just a plate of it crunched up into leaves. Which i couldn't eat alone so i just mixed it up with traditional fries. Which the fries also they just give bottom of the bag fries.

Great Burger/Sandwiches. I Tried a Smashed Wagyu Burger which was great. Will come back to Dovour other preparations too

If you sit at the bar you get full service. You can order at the counter and sit anywhere else. They have outdoor seating. I had an absolutely fantastic. Hamburger. The sweet potato fries were simply awesome and became awesomer after I dipped them into the chipotle dip. They have a wide selection of draft beers. I asked the bartender to give me their darkest draft beer. Far short of a Guiness or a stout, it was a hearty brew served in a frozen mug. Great service and fair price. I'm not in Nashville very much but if I have a lunch again this is a top three pick for me.

Great vibe, service and killer burger! It's the quality: meat, bun, sauces, and fresh veggies. It is the Capital Grille of burgers Expensive? Yep; worth it? You bet!

I don't understand how this place right smack center of the River Oaks District can be out of Air Condition for over 3 months. The food is good; however you cannot sit in and dine and truly enjoy your meal. This is unbelievably unacceptable for this franchise.I had been a regular customer and now hesitate even going. I don't understand how this is safe and even sanitary. It's almost 100 degrees outside while the cooks are inside with NO AC cooking the food. I wonder how they expect this to be sanitary and acceptable to be sweating all over the food they are preparing. You can literally see them drenched in sweat. Again. Keep in mind this establishment is next to Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier, Harry Winston, and Dior. What a Shame .

The meat in the burger is not seasoned it is very bland. They didn't ask what level of cooked meat so my burger was not well cooked. If I ever go again I have to be sure to tell them we'll done. The bun on the burger was cold it could have been lightly warm. The nacho fries were lightly warm and got cold quickly. It was 7 of us and not one of us said we loved it, we all said it was just ok.

We live in Austin and were in the area with a CPS kid who will only eat burgers. We found the experience very similar to Hopdoody's in Austin. I do not seek out this type of food. However, the kid enjoyed his burger and everything was to order. I am glad they have patio seating. You do not get to pick your table they assign you a table when you order. Parking in the area is paid to park. The area looks pretty nice and clean. They had umbrellas on the patio. The soda machine was not functioning the day we arrived but they had tea and water. They also have beers, but again, being with a minor from the state, we stuck to nonalcoholic drinks.

I'm a fan of their burgers, and their sweet potato fries are out-of-this world good. Stopped in to finally try a shake and their mochaccino shake was amazingly tasty. Decent value too.

Me and my husband decided to go to Hopdoddy and since this was the closest location to us we ended up there. We went on Friday night. Something to note if you haven't been to this location: - This is inside the River Oaks District outdoor mall so parking is a struggle but they do have a free parking garage for the whole area I've only been to hopdoddy twice so this is a pretty new review for this place. As a vegetarian I am always happy to see 1-2 options. I ordered the black bean burger with all that comes with it. We also got Parmesan garlic fries to share. Everything came out in a timely manner, the burger was decent wouldn't call it amazing. The sauce on the burger was more creamy than sour so I felt that the burger needed some tang like ketchup, but there's always condiments on the side. The Parmesan fries are great! I also thought the sauce that came with it was more creamy and neutral so I got ketchup with it. Tasted much better to me. Overall, my husband got the chicken sandwich and the bill came up around $30 which seemed a lot for a burger meal without a drink but not bad. I do want to go back to try their other veggie option. I also did see maybe 2 gnat's which is not the best sign.

Amazing Bodega burger! Being a NY native I was very surprised at the how good the burger was. Looking forward to many more! But get your air conditioner fixed!!!

Street parking is free after 9 pm but can be difficult to find. There is parking garage nearby. I tried their Nashville chicken sandwich. It was super delicious. Love it. Service was quick.

I came in and ordered and I sat down and finished drinking my drink. I was parched and when I went back in to get a water cup to drink some water, the employee there made the lamest excuse of saying that they shut the water off after 11 because the closed. Is it really that hard to give a man a water cup?

Never enough good things to say about this place! Started with a house margarita on happy hour. It was good but had to up the ante for round two and went for the Big Larry! Go Larry Go, get on down with your bad self! I come for the burgers but I stay for the Larry. Now my typically order is the Caesar salad with a chicken patty and share truffle fries with my date, but this time I opted to try out their new sliders on the happy hour menu. They come four to an order. Perfect for sharing. Very tasty, well seasoned, with grilled onions and served with a tangy sauce/aioli on the side. Hopefully these little gems stay on the HH menu awhile. Thank you Hopdoddy, I love you!

Grace and Josue, both so kind. we had a previous issue when we got here and it was actually one of the other managers and these two people were so kind and helped this all with our orders. Friend since I'm allergic to dairy so clearly they weren't very aware of that which, if I were to have dairy and cause me to have to be hospitalized, but it was all fixed up end of the day, which was great. excellent service from Grace and the manager Josue! It was a bad experience at first, but they made up for it.

Delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever had paired with delicious Parmesan truffle fries. The service was wonderful. It was clean inside and sitting outside to eat is pleasant in this area. Definitely a place we'll come back to!

I have been to several locations and I enjoy it every time. The burgers are so unique and tasty. It was a chill vibe since we went close to closing time on a weeknight. The server was really kind and patient as I was trying to figure out what I wanted to order. I will definitely be back.

Hopdoddy is a nice little gem in the ROD. My neighbor and I took a stroll over for happy hour and we were not disappointed. The drinks are $5 and they do not skimp on the alcohol at all. I got the vodka mule and after the second glass, I had to tap out. The fries were also pretty good. The staff was great, the restaurant wasn't too loud and although we sat outside, I really appreciate how the AC was not on full blast inside. Talk about being able to read the room for once and not having your patrons freeze.

RUDE IGNORANT SERVICE Food good, service awful. You might think the person taking your order would know the menu. You would be wrong. When your order arrives and it's wrong don't complain to the manager, Raul, because he will be rude and won't care. Better food and better service elsewhere. Go there.

Probably the best burger and fries I have had in a decade. However what really made me give the five stars was their focus on regenerative farming and local ranches. Food made from actual food. Mind blowing concept. I found out their passion about fresh food by accident but it will be the reason I come back.

I tried Hopdody for the first time per my partner's recommendation. It was late and we were in our pajamas so we ordered curbside. We had a bit of trouble finding it via the navigation and once we got to the store the curbside pickup was two very small spots that were being used for standard parking. We nearly needed to parallel park in the space one the person got back in their car and drove away. My suggestion is to just dine in. I ordered the Thunderbird, removed the chipotle aioli, replaced the bun with lettuce, and added queso. Once I got home and got ready to dig in I realized there was so "inequality" in the lettuce which made it difficult to eat. It was basically one measly piece in the bottom and a thicker piece of iceberg on the top. It made it very messy to eat. I also thought the queso would be added atop the burger but it was added to the side in a container. This turned out to be for the best because it would've been even messier to eat. As far as the taste, it was super delicious. The ground chicken patty was juicy and the avocado, pico, and pepper were a nice touch. I drizzled the green queso on top which added an extra flare. The price was a bit steep and it was hard to find but the burger was delicious. I'd come back but I'll try and recreate it at home first lol.

Always hits the spot! In love with their chili con queso fries, if truffle even better. My go to burger is always Diablo and now I'm glad they have a burger bowl for us gym girlies!

Burgers were fresh and delicious. Customer service was great and also very patient as it was our first visit. Didn't get a pic of the tenders but A+...honestly the best I EVER had. Parmesan fries were a little salty but still was very tasty. Only thing I'll change it to keep the Brussel sprouts whole instead of salad style.

I tried Hopdoddy for the first time and was very pleased with the food & experience! The sweet potato fries and sauce were some of the best I've ever had. The burger was amazing - although in the future I think I will order with a regular bun instead as the texture and seeds was a bit much for my taste. The Nutella Skrewball boozy milkshake was a delicious treat post lunch! My group sat on the patio which was really nice for people watching and enjoying the holiday decorations. I would definitely go back to Hopdoddy.

There is always a time when you feel like some comfort food after a long day, and on those days, I would come to Hopdoddy. The first time I tried Hopdoddy was in Austin, and I immediately fell in love with it. The price is on the higher end compared to most burger places, but it is worth it. Honestly, you can just pick any of the burgers as they are all really good. I would recommend adding an egg to your burger, and you won't regret it. I also LOVE the honey and sage potato fries; the portion is good for 2-3 people. The truffle fries is also good.

My second visit and I ordered the Thunderbird. It's a ground chicken patty. It was delicious! I pulled off the pepper since I can't eat anything spicy right now. I'll have to go back and try it with the pepper. I only wish that it came with fries. You have to order fries separately! However, it's enough to share!

We're at it again!! Devouring our favorite burgers in H-Town. I'm sure there's others burger joints but they have the best Parmesan Truffle fries to go with their freshly made burger. Also, all the toppings are good. My favorite burger is grilled medium topped with mushrooms, goat cheese and avocado. So yummy delicious! Plus order yourself a Little Larry cocktail and that will make it all good! Can't go wrong with this nice location in River Oaks. Always nice to walk around and dine alfresco. By far my favorite go to for good juicy burgers. This is definitely a break your diet treat meal

The best burgers ever and may I add great margaritas, if you like spicy El Diablo is a must try. the fries are large big portion for 2 ppl don't save any for the next day it's not nice after a few hours. Great service from both the Rice Village and the River oaks location ,

I came here with my mother a couple weeks ago after a salon and shopping day. Service was quick, food was great, and my cocktail was exactly what I needed. Will be back with the kids.

Great staff and atmosphere. My dog Leo loves the burger patties and staff, they always come out to greet him.

The food here is pretty good. The line is a little long during rush hour but the workers are almost always nice and fast.

I didn't expect the burger to be that amazing...I can't wait to go back to Houston just for this freakin burger. The burger was a perfect size. I got the Llano Pablano and it was soooo good! I added avocado (I think) which made it way better. My husband wanted a bite and I was pissed...like why? I didn't want it to end! The parmesan Truffle fries were really really good! (Especially with the sauce they serve it with) The honey sage sweet potato fries were good but I feel like I need to detect more sage. The fries were a little stale feeling or overcooked...I couldn't really tell but because they are so thin they should probably be cooked less.

Hop Diddy is a classic burger joint. Really enjoy all their offerings of burger styles. I have the Llano Poblano a few times now as it's always a great burger. This time I tried the Diablo for some spiciness! And I think I found my new favorite burger here at Hopdoddy! It had enough heat to not be super crazy but enough to satisfy any heat lovers tastebuds. It was very flavorful besides being spicy. Definitely a winner in my book. The burgers don't seem all the big in appearance but they are packed with great ingredients and I'm always satisfied after eating one. I also got the Nutella Chocolate Pretzel shake which was a winner as well. If you haven't tried Hopdoddy's you're missing out. I really enjoy eating here.

This was the first place on my list we stopped at in H-town...just had to try a burger from here. I rate my experience at 4.5 stars (instead of 5 stars and since there is not a .5 star rating)...here's why: This establishment is located in great location...almost reminded me of newer parts near downtown ATL. It seemed clean and it had a nice layout. But I didn't come here for all of that... I just wanted to know how this burger was going to taste!!!! I ordered the Bacon Jam Double Cheese Burger medium well with a basket of honey and sage sweet potato fries. And all the family ordered the classic with bacon. For my burger, what set it apart was the tomato bacon jam which was like a sweet jelly which paired great with the saltiness of the bacon and the flavor of the burger. This burger had great flavor, and the bun was nice and soft...can't get any better... my only complaint/observation was that the burgers are small. If I pay close to $10 for a burger I expect it to be bigger. Just make it $10+ and make it bigger....Other than that I would come here again...but next time order a double patty if possible.

Service was great. I got the vegetarian burger and the patty was loaded with salt. I understand that making a veggie patty can be a challenge, but don't put it on the menu if you are not proud of the final product. The burger just wasn't enjoyable at all- too salty and too busy. Drinks are definitely on the stronger side in my opinion.

Had a "good cause" burger salad. It had kale, lots of Mayo, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce. I served myself chipotle ketchup but didn't use it because the flavors were already great. Staff was friendly, food was not expensive and delicious- this to me was a 5 star experience. Would like to invite them to open a location near my workplace

I tried this location again, but take-out this time. The shroom burger was so juicy and flavorful this time. I guess last time they forgot to put enough salt. Also, the patty was more of a medium to medium rare this time. The llano poblano burger was better this time too. The only problem that we had was that it was a take-out order and the fries were really stale. Definitely glad they improved!

Best buttered burger bun! Great sized burger, Not overwhelming. Good Keto options as well to choose from, including a lettuce bun and a burger bowl. Counter service and pick up. Nice patio.

Wow oh wow! This place was amazing!! if you're looking for a tasty burger I highly recommend this place. The burgers are so juicy and flavorful. I got their basic burger and added pepper Jack cheese and it was anything but basic. Their fries are fresh and so yummy. I am definitely coming back!!!

They need better ventilation & a stronger A/C unit bc it was too hot to eat inside. First time at this location. I think the heat must've gotten to they staff bc both my friend's and my orders were messed up. We didn't discover it until we were back at apt--super letdown. Classic burgers 7.5 (would've scored higher if they didn't mess up our order) Sweet potato fries 8. The fact that the restaurant was too hot to eat in and bc they didn't get our orders correct is why they got a 3. Food itself was good but would've been/tasted better if they followed through with the requested details.

We come here every Sunday after church. Such a great lunch spot; we are always greeted with a smile. The hamburgers are cooked to perfection, not to mention their delicious truffle fries and amazing milkshake. We are a regular.

For a burger joint in the greater galleria area it is good. They may get your order wrong, but like the song says 2 out of 3 aint bad. Some local beers available if you like that kind of stuff. They have fries available to go with the burgers, so that is a plus. The line moves pretty quick so do not get discouraged if you see one. The view of the people that shop in the ROD is comical so it is kinda one of those meal with a show included in the package if you pay attention.

Pretty solid burgers and very friendly service. I had the Llano Poblano which was great, perfectly toasted bun, the caffeinated BBQ sauce was good too. Everyone that worked there was super friendly especially the young lady that delivered my food. My only complaint was that the sweet tea wasn't sweetened. Other than that it's a very solid and affordable place to eat in the River Oaks area.

I like Hopdoddy's and was grateful that they were doing pick-up and delivery, but they wouldn't accept phone orders. I called because their website was giving me struggles. An employee answered the phone and said they are trying to be as cashless as possible and not make direct physical contact with customers for safety reasons. They suggested that if the website was a struggle I could consider using UberEats or GrubHub. So, I opted for one of those. I placed my order, and we drove over in the time slot suggested for pick-up. When I arrived there was someone in front of me trying to order "boozy-shakes" and was sitting at a table with 3 other friends. Luckily, Hopdoddy was socially responsible and had a marked area 6 feet behind any customer in line. It was very socially responsible, and I felt comforted by this gesture. I was able to pick up my food when it was my turn at the table (payment was already made via app), and I was able to take it back to my car with NO physical interaction with the server. The burgers were great, but the fries were less than lukewarm. This was a letdown (hence the minus 1 star). It was a nice Sunday treat to have burgers, and for me, it added to my lunch the next day. Super friendly workers! Place was kinda dirty and my only complaint about the food is that my burger buns were stale!

A friend of mine put me on this place. About a month ago when I moved to the area. This was like my third time here. I go here when I want a good healthy burger with fries after my work out. I get a Turkey or chicken burger usually with sweet potato fries. Their line moves fast and this is a burger "bar." How creative? Yes a bar. Think... if Burger King sold liquor and their burgers had a lot of healthy options lol. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because it has a very unpleasant order or lingering smell that I don't care for. I know it's due to cooking but I can't stomach it so I always take it to go or eat in the patio.

Honestly I don't know what the hype is about but I wouldn't ever come back here, the burgers are not even great. More bland than anything, and over priced. The fries were the only thing that is good but very thin. Definitely try It out if you want to experience it... but I would 100 percent recommend craft P & B in the galleria area. The best burgers you would ever have and the waffle fries are amazing.

We love the place. They give you a lot of food. The fries are enough for two people. The burgers are unique and different.
