Hopdoddy Burger Bar

Hamburgers and fries were great! First time here just staying in Houston for a few days. Very nice establishment. Food, service and atmosphere were wonderful and a very clean place for sure! We’re from Arkansas and I believe I’d have to say…….i believe these burgers are more delicious than any I’ve tasted in our home state! Stop in, you won’t be dissatisfied 😊

Tried a handful of things on our visit: the Parmesan truffle fries (a must!), the Bangkok Alley as a salad on house greens, a mini Nutella pretzel shake, the Goodnight burger, and the Cadillac Wagyu burger. Overall, food was really good. It’s definitely on the pricier side for a fast-casual spot, but you’re getting quality ingredients and well-executed flavors. The truffle fries were super tasty, and the burgers were juicy and flavorful—especially the Cadillac Wagyu, which stood out. The Bangkok Alley (we tried it as a salad) was the only thing our group didn’t love—it’s a pretty unique flavor combo, so it might just be an acquired taste. Worth trying if you’re curious, but just a heads-up that it wasn’t a hit for us. Service was great—they take your order at the counter but bring everything out to your table, which makes it feel a bit more elevated than your average fast-casual spot. Decor was modern and clean, and the music added a nice vibe to the space. Great for a casual-but-upscale bite if you’re in the mood for a good burger and want something a little more interesting than the usual burger joint.

First time here. I'm next to xfnity waiting for my phone to be transferred. So, to make time came to eat here. Wasn't feeling snooze too much. Food: My burger was deliciously set up, good size, and affordable on the pocket! Service: Met the nice kitchen manager who welcomed me for the first visit! Great experience. Atmosphere: i was doing bills and listening to a podcast so but was left undisturbed (other than dropping or picking my plate). I had a good experience while waiting :)

Such a great spot! Phenomenally friendly and helpful staff! Food tasted excellent and was not tough on us like many fast food or fast casual places often are. Prices between shake shack and five guys but much much cleaner environment and higher quality across all categories. Excellent date night spot. Girlfriend is extremely allergic to gluten, they have a whole separate menu and took the allergy very seriously. Indoor has great music and vibes. Outdoor was my favorite outdoor seating we’ve tried in the Houston area so far. Dear manager, whichever staff members were on shift the night of 10/19 should all be given a round of applause and a free meal, seriously so impressed. 12/10

Edit 09June25: Returned to give it another shot, absolutely impressed by the turnaround in food quality. Had myself a normal cheese burger with the standard toppings and they absolutely nailed it. Super delicous. Well seasoned and I walked away a very satisfied customer. Good job! ___________________________________ So. I don't normally go to "Vintage Burger bars," since the prices are usually comparable to five guys with quality of food that either matches or less than so- Unfortunately this establishment did not impress for the price point of the food. The Burger was more greasy than juicy, and was exceptionally salty. Far too much salt. I felt heavy and little slowed after consuming it. The fries were satisfactory, nothing truly impressive. Felt more like left over fries rather than fresh, which was disappointing for the price point of 4$. I will say this much, the milkshake was delicious, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Very well done on the soft serve! Staff were nice, friendly and helpful so I will give credit where credit is due. The staff were very kind. No complaints. The establishment itself was clean. Well maintained and the bathrooms were likewise. Overall 3/5

Star of the Show: Loaded Brussel Leaves. We got the Truffle; truffle oil, parmesan, chives, truffle aioli. Of course the Classic Cheeseburger & Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich were delectable as well. We sat at the bar, watched a baseball game, had a large beer and enjoyed the great service we received from the bartender. All; fresh quality ingredients. Our first time to this location but definitely not our last, although it has been years since we moved away from the College Station location which we always had enjoyed in the past.

Another solid experience at Hopdoddy. I appreciate the straightforward menu with solid burger and side options. Love their reliability in different cities and states I’ve visited them in. Consistently juicy patties, crispy fries, and delicious shakes. It always hits the spot. Great vibes and typically quick service.

Friendly, fast service, really good food. We ordered the parmesan truffle fries, hot honey and sage sweet potato fries, the mushroom burger, doddy melt, and tossed tenders. Zero disappointment.
