After great reviews from family members we were visting , We made it Hope Breakfast Bar - Eagan on a Monday morning. This place was buzzling and has good energetic vibes to it. Kids unanimously voted ans orderd the Red Velvet Waffle which tuened out tasty with blueberry sryup being the highlight. Pinacolada french toast was bit too sweet for our liking albeit its unique offering. Hash browns very disappointing but Stuffed Poblano was ok . Beverages and the drinks checked the ok box. Anna B serviced out table and was very patient and quick. This wasnt an wowlicious place nevertheless a good breakfast / brunch experience in and around twin cities

Friendly server and quick service but concerns about everything else. Busy on arrival but seated promptly with reservation. Atmosphere is meh but the uncomfortable chairs and lack of sound dampening surroundings is probably intentional to prevent patrons from lingering too long. Donut platter came with a greasy chocolate (possibly maple?) dip instead of ganache. Got the Sunrise Chili Crunch Bowl and server was able to substitute in pork belly (yay). Bowl was dry, lacking flavor and seasonings but pork belly was so over cooked it was hard and crunchy throughout each piece. Sat by the kitchen window and the staff was constantly on their phones, touching hair, or picking cleaning rags off the floor but no one ever washed their hands despite nearby handwashing sink.

Great spot for breakfast and definitely worth trying the mini donuts! 😀 The food was delicious and there were too many great sounding dishes to try them all! The bourbon smoked salmon was great, and will definitely try the various coffee bar options next time!

Really wanted to love this place. Was leery going here after all the bad press, related to fraud and them shutting down their nonprofit. It’s a local business though and wanted to give them a try to support local. After visiting I can say my opinion is neutral but given the recent press I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Chicken and waffles were a nice portion size and a hit with my teenager. 2 maple syrup Options (jalapeño and plain). No sides included but not really needed due to the ample portion size. Hashbrowns - ordered a side and was disappointed. Soft almost mushy in the middle the outside not crispy enough. Avocado toast - I didn’t want the fried avocado so asked for fresh sliced instead and they easily accommodated my request. Served w two poached eggs cooked perfectly. Order didn’t come out at once, waffles were served and several minutes later the avocado toast which requires minimal cooking came out. Served w a side of fruit, which seemed a bit old as the blueberries were mushy. Upon completing our meal I tried to find our server to pay the bill she dropped off. She was busy at the espresso machine for several minutes so I went to the hostess to see if we could pay. She went and told our server who came by a few minutes later to check us out. That process could have been better, we waited an awful long time to leave. Overall the food was tasty but a bit overpriced and service was slow and inattentive.

This was our first visit. Very nice open concept with tasteful art to create an eclectic atmosphere. Everything was very clean and welcoming. The staff were attentive and genuine. I wanted to try many options on the menu but decided on the pimento cheese scramble. Everything was hot and fresh. Very nice breakfast experience. We will be back!

This place was absolutely lovely! The staff was attentive and kind. They have the most adorable cards to write prayers on. The atmosphere was very modern and laid back with an open and inviting plan. The drinks and food were phenomenal with generous portions. Would recommend to everyone!!

Stumbled upon this place on Easter 🐣 Excellent service. Food is fabulous. Huge portions. I had the classic biscuits and wild mushroom gravy. My husband had the Reuben Bowl. We will be back!

Google
Absolute perfection! We got the Butterscotch Latte, hot chocolate for the kiddo and a pistachio cardamom espresso. For the food I ordered a B.B.L.A.T. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious! The coffee was the perfect temperature and not overly sweet. Our waitress Samantha had the most amazing smile and energy to her also. Overall it was a wonderful experience with delicious food, in a beautiful restaurant. Experience this place if you can!

Yelp
I'd been to the Hope's Breakfast Bar in St Paul and was excited to have one closer to home for me now with this one in Eagan. Mainly I was excited to be able to find parking more easily if I'm being honest ;) The location is great, there is a parking lot which made me excited after my experience going to the St Paul one, and it was a nice space inside. Volume inside is a bit on the noisy side but nothing we couldn't work around in having a conversation. The service was fantastic with a server who knew the menu well, made recommendations on items including slight modifications that worked well, and he was genuinely excited about his work and providing great service. The food was fantastic! Flavorful and perfectly prepared, it came out hot from the kitchen, the coffee comes in a retro Stanley thermos which was a cool touch! For breakfast we both had the Sunrise Chili Crunch Bowl which was fantastic! It came with the option of carnitas but we both decided to get it without. It was very tasty with great ingredients and we both got it with a poached egg instead of scrambled (highly recommend so you get that runny yolk in there!). I also ordered a short stack of buttermilk pancakes and they were fantastic! Soft and fluffy and great flavor as well! The experience was wonderful from the accessibility of the restaurant at this location, the service and the many choices on Hope's menu, and the quality of the food! Will be back many times I'm sure ;)

Yelp
We were looking for a nice place to enjoy breakfast and heard positive comments about Hope Breakfast Bar in Eagan. When we arrived, I did not feel like I was welcome, as their was not friendly greeting or welcome. When I was asked "how many?", I replied, 'Just two of us." I was then informed, "we could sit at the bar." That is not want I was looking for, and then was informed it would at least a 30 minute wait, as they had reservations coming at 11:45am. I looked casually around the dining area and notice 6 tables for two that were empty. Still no feeling of being welcomed. We waited for 30 minutes (almost to the minute) before receiving our text our table was ready. Finally, a bright ray of sunshine, our server, Claire K. greeted us warmly, making us feel like we were welcomed into her home. Made me smile that such a friendly face and smile worked here. Claire was friendly, helpful and most importantly cheerful. What a delight!! Much better than the reception received by the male manager and hostess. We placed our order with Claire and while we waited for our food, I noticed the hostess and one of the other food deliver persons chatting and checking their phones while prepared meals were waiting for delivery to patrons. The "manager" was seated at the end of the bar, with his face buried in his computer (I guess the other employees see the boss doing it so why can't they). Our food was delivered to our table, it was good (nothing you could not prepare at home), but our server, Claire, checked on us (always with a warm greeting and smile), continuing to make us feel welcome and that we belonged. Claire's service was impeccable, timely and thoughtful. I would not hesitate to bring others as long as I could request Claire. I would encourage management to work harder on providing warm, friendly greetings to everyone walking through their door...as a first time diner I would question whether a repeat visit would be worth the effort. I provided a two-star rating ONLY because of our server, other's we interacted with would have received a negative one star.

Yelp
I want to like this place. I guess I like it, I don't love it. This location is NOISY. Nothing dampens the sound. Difficult for the servers to hear you or have a conversation without feeling like you're screaming. If you get anything with cheese, beware they put about a pound of cheese on your food. I scraped some off of the meal I had and it was still plenty cheesy. I got the blackened cauliflower gratin. It was ok. Super cheese aside, it barely had any seasoning or flavor. I didn't expect it to be burnt, but when you call something blackened, it should be seasoned. At least the hashbrowns are delicious. Hubs had the hot honey chicken sandwich, which I was also eyeing. Looked good, but the biscuit was huge. I probably would have dumped half. Coffee bar is also good here.

Yelp
Met my son here for brunch and coffee and was so happy we picked this place! We started with the cottage bruschetta toast and it was fresh, tasty and a hug portion. For our main we had biscuits and grave and the smoked salmon pimiento cheesy eggs special. The food here comes in huge portions and it is always hot and fresh. We each had coffee that was so great, I bought a bag of beans to grind at home. So good! Our server was so professional and friendly. The interior is decorated so nicely and so inviting. Def recommend!!

Yelp
A group of six gals and I went to hope breakfast bar In Eagan. It was great. Service was great, our waitress was patient and knowledgeable! We all got a round of cocktails including an espresso martini which was fab. My friend liked their spicy Bloody Mary. For food the tostada and blacked cauliflower were a hit. Breakfast sandwiches were enjoyed, next time I'll ask for my bacon to be a bit crispier on my sandwich. The cheesy French toast was the only item that didn't meet expectations, it was too cheesy! To be fair I think our patient waitress noticed this and took it off my friends bill which was nice! Overall I'd be back, we weren't rushed like some other hope bar locations. We made reservations about one week ahead a time.

Yelp
Back again . This time we made a reservation. You caNot get in ( unless you are patient enough to wait for a table) without one. Great staff, great food and atmosphere. Never disappointed

Yelp
I found the place on Yelp after arriving at the airport in Minneapolis. The food was great and the waitress was really nice. I was there to attend a wedding and I can't tell you how many people recommended this place to try.

Yelp
I came to hope breakfast bar with my brother, It reminded me so much of my favorite brunch spots in the east coast. The service was on top of things and very friendly. She helped us decide what would be best suited for our palates. I landed on the carnitas bowl, my brother went for the chicken and waffles. He loved the waffles, the chicken was cooked very well, seasoned well and with the addition of some hot sauce hit the spot. I enjoyed my bowl as well it tasted like sitting next to the fire place on a snowy day. Everyone at Hope seemed to be enjoying time with their loved ones, it was a comfortable eating experience. Glad we made a reservation though, it was busy when we arrived!

Yelp
I had a delicious and inviting experience at this location as soon as you walked in the door (: Our order consisted of trying the cinnamon waffles, pancakes, and pork belly/biscuit/cheesy grit plate. Drinks shared were lemonade and a seasonal latte drink. Everything tasted was equally tasty, but the pork belly and cheesy grits were to die for. Everything was served with a smile and details were noted. I was quite impressed with our experience! Thanks!

Yelp
This is a place my husband and I have been to a few times. We like the unique breakfast options (he loves pancakes and they have a fun variety). The food has always been good and fresh. The latte is a favorite of mine! Ambiance is cute, they have decor and indoor outdoor seating. Tables are spread out so you have space and don't feel like you're on top of everyone else. One item we have consistently been let down with is the service. Each time we have went the servers are very busy, rarely check in and are a bit short with us. The food helps make up for it but this has happened each time we have gone (they have a Saint Paul location and their service has always been on point). I am only speaking to the Eagan location. The service is why I can't give 5 stars for this location.

Yelp
Every time a Grand Slam! Our first visit to the Eagan Hope! What I love most about this place is everything on their menu sounds like I'd want to try it! today we had the Blackened Cauliflower and fried eggs and the Carrot Cake pancakes. Also, who knew Kahlua amd Mocha paired so well! The open seating does lend itself to a cacophony of sound so I wouldn't say it was intimate, but it's a great place with great energy and perfect for a Saturday morning brekkie with friends. The staff were outstanding and the food came in around 10-15 minutes of ordering!! Make sure to get a reservation. People that just showed up were told it was an hour wait! We'll definitely be back. So many things we want to try!!

Yelp
This is my first time visiting the Eagan establishment, and my experience was actually a lot better than the one in Saint Louis Park, which I think might have been elevated by the fact that this spot wasn't nearly as packed as the Saint Louis Park one, either because my friends and I arrived after 1pm, or there were just fewer people around the area in general. I am rating this establishment a 5 while maintaining my 4 rating for the Saint Louis Park one from earlier. In my other review, I mentioned that I would give the food itself a 3, but other factors like their cute "believe in breakfast" slogan, the hospitable service, their various kinds of coffee, and their ability to keep up with so many customers with such a large menu and their food variety. Well all these other factors remained at this Eagan location, and what I ordered this time tasted very good as well, so a 5 all around. The stuffed poblano was the only staff choice that I had not tasted yet, and if the fried chicken and waffles used to be my favorite, then this would be my new favorite. The egg, cheese, poblano pepper, and hashbrown combination actually make the dish taste a bit "huevos racheros"-ish, especially if one adds carnitas and then add hot sauce on top of it. The variety of texture and flavors makes this dish a very pleasant experience. I also had a unicorn mimosa this time, and fully enjoyed the process of pouring champagne into red and blue cotton candy, and seeing the liquid turning purple entirely which was very visually appealing! Based on these two, my experience here was nothing short of amazing, honestly. I have included a few photos from the Saint Louis Park location as well, and my review from that location would critically explain what my assessment of those items were. But like I said, stuffed poblano is my new favorite now after trying it today!

Yelp
We went around 9:30, was very busy, so it made the service a bit slow, but after we got our initial drinks/greeting everything was pretty fast! Food was very good! While there was a lot of people here it wasn't too noisy, conversations were still heard. Overall great experience.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for some time but there always so busy, I can see why. This place is hustling bustling. Food is good and one of my favorite breakfast places to go now. The wait staff were amazing and the open kitchen is nice to see if you sitting at the counter. Food comes out quick and the coffee is excellent. Make your reservations early.

Yelp
I was VERY impressed with this breakfast place! Blew my socks off ! Highly recommend ! So many choices ! And the service there are super informative ! We have been here about three times in the last year and never have ever been satisfied the potions are large so I do recommend shareable plates and have an add on to your meals like a side of bacon or sow thing. It's rather open so can get loud show up early to be seated right away otherwise during the weekend usually there is a wait.

Wessrick H.

Yelp
My very first time coming here. The fried chicken was really good and seasoned to perfection. What an experience. The cheese eggs were really good and fresh. The waffles were dry and just not good. The service was excellent and didn't have to wait long for our order. It's a beautiful establishment with lots to offer for ambiance. The menu has a lot to offer and I will be coming back to try more of their offerings.

Yelp
Hope was one of my favorite brunch spots of 2024! I can't believe I'd never been there before. I went to the Eagan location with a friend and we both LOVED it. The restaurant was busy but you can make reservations online which makes dining there a breeze. The staff were friendly and I couldn't believe how quickly our food came out after ordering! I got the Bacon Tacos and my friend got the German Chocolate Pancakes, and we both loved our meals. We were sat near the kitchen and all of the food coming out looked delicious so I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu!!!
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
People who gave this a poor review don't know what they are talking about. Very original menu. Flavors were tasty. Service was great. Yes, it is a little loud when the restaurant is full. I don't think it is too expensive for a restaurant that serves a variety of interesting options, liquor and beer. No walk in cooler to me usually means fresher foods. Didn't see a freezer. Open kitchen. Clean. Modern. Nicely done Hope team.

Yelp
Super tasty food and such a cute restaurant. Our server was new - and handles all the questions we had very well. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
Stopped by Hope Breakfast Bar during my business trip on Yelp's recommendation--what a find! Sat at the bar and enjoyed fantastic service with personalized menu suggestions. Highlights: Incredible butterscotch latte (worth the splurge!) Fluffy pimento scrambled eggs & crispy hash browns Fun open kitchen to watch the chefs work The Vietnamese coffee and breakfast sandwich also looked amazing. Perfect spot for a quality morning meal--will definitely return!

Yelp
Hope Breakfast Bar is one of my favorite places in Eagan! I enjoy stopping in for a quick coffee before work during the week, or grabbing brunch on the weekends. Everything I have tried has been fresh and perfectly made. Their sweet and savory selections will keep you coming back for more. The entire team is efficient and friendly. I've had great experiences sitting at both the table and bar. The parking lot is free, but can sometimes be fairly busy on the weekends. In my opinion, Eagan is lucky to have a Hope location within the community. I love bringing family and friends here when they come to visit!

Yelp
I would go back for this. It was so cheesy, and the pork belly was perfectly done! The wait (about 30 minutes without a reservation) on a 11:30 am Saturday was worth it. It was so busy. But with this kind of food, it only makes sense.

Jeff M.

Yelp
We ordered a Mexican dish with peppers and a flour tortilla. It came with eggs and has browns. It was supposed to have enchilada sauce. We ordered light on the cheese and a side of pork. Pork and hash browns were good. No sauce, caked with cheese and eggs were cooked hard as a rock. No yolk at all. Expensive for such a poor quality breakfast.

Ella B.

Yelp
This location looked very good online but when we walked in it was instantly VERY noisy, I could barely hear my boyfriend talking to me from right across the table. The food was alright but the service was TERRIBLE! Our waitress took our drink order, came back with them 10 minutes later and took our food order. She did not stop back at our table until I had to get her attention to get our bill. She barely paid attention to us but yet gave all of her attention to the tables around us and stopped at each other table around 10 times. I'm not usually the person that doesn't leave a tip but I couldn't leave a tip after that. We felt like just because we were younger (22 and 21) she might've felt like we weren't going to leave a good tip so she didn't pay attention to us and paid more attention to her "higher paying customers". My boyfriend and I always leave at least a 20% tip but this experience was just unbelievable, I have never been more upset at a restaurant.

Dana C.

Yelp
We arrived at 1 pm on a Saturday, place closes at 3. Hostess was kind, sat us a nice table. It was our first time there as our kids gave us a gift card for it. Was really looking forward to this, the food coming out going to other tables looked amazing. We waited almost 10 minutes before the waitress came over, she took our order for food and drink and appeared to be rushed. Someone else brought our food out and left before I could ask for ketchup. Waited another few minutes, our waitress was at the coffee bar talking with other staff so we flagged down the exceptional hostess who apologized then brought ketchup and Tabasco for my husband like she could read his mind! Incredible hostess. The $17 patty melt I had tasted as if the burger was reheated in the microwave, hash browns were undercooked. Husband had the chorizo egg bowl with rice, he enjoyed it. Waitress finally came back after my husband ate his bowl and asked him if we wanted a box and if everything was alright as she put our check down. At this point, I wanted to leave with taking only two bites of my sandwich. At lease the puppy will have something on her food tonight. I have said this other reviews, I waitressed and put myself through college in the 1980s. If you did not provide great service for a 10-15 percent tip, you probably would be fired. In today's world, just showing up and providing poor service, wait staff expect a twenty percent tip. I have no issue paying that if the service is good. The only kind person we experienced there was the young woman who was the hostess. Waitress and runner lacked customer service skills and cared less for the paying customer. Do better!

Ryan B.

Yelp
Waste of money. Do not get the yogurt bowl. Had to add more yogurt at home unless you wanted to just eat granola for $15. Breakfast sandwich is the same as brueggers bagels but its half the price there. lavender latte was good but was spitting sticks out half the time I was drinking it. Definitely not worth it. Maybe dining in is different? Idk

Yelp
After raving about hope breakfast in Saint Paul my sister and I decided to try the Eagan location and unfortunately this flopped for us.... There is plenty of free parking which is a huge plus since the Saint Paul location does not. The vibes walking in were pretty but not as well done as the Saint Paul location. The service here was fast and friendly! The staff did a great job! Everyone we encountered had a smile and was very welcoming! The food: This is where they lost the stars for me. The hash browns were good but not very warm. The bone in chicken and waffles was not very good... the meat was old tasting and overall did not taste good. The waffle was just ok and the gravy had almost a chemically taste to it. I may have just gotten a bad batch but I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. Overall I would not return to this location. The Saint Paul location is just beyond and this place doesn't even seem like that same restaurant.

Yelp
Heard great things about this breakfast spot and stopped in! Exceptional experience!! The restaurant is spacious and bright and our server, Charley, was as congenital as could be! That greeting and attitude is a great start to a new restaurant visitation! For us, coffees, a Mimosa and Bloody set the tone for the menu review. The coffee set upon your table is in a Thermos jug like a workman's but fun and very capable of keeping it hot! The menu is wide and deep. However I was looking for eggs with sausage and pancakes but the aimed their food targets slightly higher. My wife chose the Hope Breakfast Biscuit, and I dove into the deep end, with the Pineapple Upsidedown French Toast! With shredded coconut and a caramel syrup sprinkled with walnuts!!! Everything is delicious and hot, and with Charley, delivered with a smile! Next time I won't go as heavy as the French Toast, but it was a delightful excursion into guilt!!

Yelp
Food was okay-not outstanding but good breakfast food. Very busy on a Sunday morning. The caramel coconut latte was worth it.

Yelp
We love traveling to new places and trying local breakfast spots. This one is on the top of our list! The whole look was well put together with a fun, but relaxing, ambiance with greenery everywhere. Our service was great, and even though there was an issue with the kitchen and one of our kids meals missing our waitress gave us a cup of fruit to keep our little snacking while we waited on her full meal. I ordered the salted caramel coffee and it was delicious. Definitely recommend this place and look forward to our next trip!

Yelp
This. Place. Is. Epic. I had never heard of this. But it was my day off, the kids were in school and my wife and I needed some breakfast and coffee, and we were up for a place we'd never been to. She heard of this place through Facebook and the reviews were lookin' good. We punched it into GPS and set a course for Hope Breakfast Bar, where they believe in breakfast. Today, I'm a believer! First thing my wife noticed on the way, was that the website said to make reservations because it gets busy! It was 8:15 AM and she noticed that reservations were booked from 9:00 AM onward, but there was an opening for 8:30 and we took it. We arrived and entered and the place is beautiful. Open, spacious, warm and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We were kindly greeted and asked if we were walk up or had a reservation. There were only a couple of tables taken at this point but by 9:00 AM the place was booming. I ordered a cold brew with caramel syrup and half n half, my wife ordered a horchata latte. I like mine sweet so I asked for extra sugar at the table. My wife went for The Sammy. My choice, however, was not so easy. I'm a biscuits n gravy man, whenever, wherever. But, I never pass on chicken n waffles-AND WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE RESTAURANT HAS BOTH ON THE MENU??? They had a solution for me that was also in the menu, they had third option for guys just like me (just like you ) the Southern Fried Chicken n Waffles, with the jalapeño syrup.....ummmm YES!! I'll take that! The portions are: "you're not gonna go hungry, you're probably not gonna finish all the food on your plate!" The presentation is: "oh my goodness, this looks so good!, I just want to rotate the plate and behold the glory" The taste is: "an absolute explosion of flavors that work together like a navy seal team who've been conditioned and trained to carry out this assignment, AND THEY WILL NOT BE DEFEATED." We were sending pictures out to family telling em they gotta get to Hope Breakfast Bar, because this place is the truth. If you're one of those who usually skips breakfast, you need to get your Hope back for the morning grub. Visit Hope Breakfast Bar, tell 'em I sent you. Try the Southern Fried Chicken n Waffles, The Sammy or the Biscuits n Gravy. Who know, maybe I'll see you there! Putting' the Hope back in Breakfast!

We came in on a Saturday morning just before 7:30AM. We made a reservation, but didn't need one this early. Not many people were in there. The ambiance is light and the welcoming, and there are plenty of fake plants around and different light fixtures. The space itself isn't that big, so I can see why it gets so crowded on (later) weekend mornings. The staff were kind and everything came out so quickly! We were in and out in around a half an hour. I started with a pistachio cardamom latte (5/5!) which was incredibly delicious and HUGE. The $8 price made a little more sense after that. My partner got the raspberry lemonade and enjoyed it. I ordered the gluten free waffles (2/5) that definitely left something to be desired, but kudos for trying to have a gluten-free option. My partner got the breakfast sandwich that looked absolutely amazing and gave it a 4/5, saying it was good but messy and lacked some flavor. We shared the loaded hash browns (2.5/5) and they didn't really seem "loaded"...just heavy onion flavor. Seemed a little extreme for $9. As someone who was really excited about the gluten free waffles, I was pretty let down. I'd come back for the coffee in a heartbeat, though!

Yelp
We had heard so much about Hope Breakfast that we were eager to visit. It was so crowded. After 20 minutes we were seated at the counter by the kitchen. They are a well prepared team and work almost silently. The food was average to good. The orange juice was excellent. Hope Chili Biscuit - bean chili with cheddar cheese and onions poured over a fluffy biscuit and topped with fried eggs Breakfast Sandwich - toasted everything bagel, pimento cream cheese, cheddar cheese, pork shoulder bacon and fried egg (I ordered over easy), with seasoned hash browns (best item we ordered) Service was rushed and we had to flag another server for our check. Allow extra time for seating, food and to receive your check.

Yelp
On weekend you want to consider the lack of parking and need for reservations. Once you are in though, the whole place is decorated very cute and trendy, with comfortable chairs, and a creative bathroom space (individual restrooms with the sinks in a community space, very unusual). The menu is impressive with a variety of foods that accommodate GF and vegetarian. I had a Chicken Biscuit that had good hot honey chicken and pickles, unfortunately you couldn't taste the pimento cheese sauce on it. It had great hash browns served with it though! I'd give it an 8/10. My dining companion had the Blackened Cauliflower and Fried Egg, it was very delicious, an absolute 10/10! We had two lattes, the butterscotch and a salted caramel, the butterscotch tasted like toffee (7/10) the salted caramel was great (10/10). Overall, it was good, but maybe not as good as the hype I've heard from people. The prices were reasonable, though the $8 coffee was a tad high.

Yelp
I've heard so much about hope breakfast bar from their other locations and was pleasantly surprised to see they opened in eagan! We came for brunch during the week without a reservation. The patio was full since the weather was nice but we were able to get seating inside right away. It did take longer than usual to have someone come to our table to give water and take our order but it seems like they're short staffed since it's a new location. After ordering, our food and drink came out quickly which was nice, it was just the initial waiter coming to us that took a while. We ordered the breakfast tostada to split 2 ways and I got an iced lemon bar latte. The tostada was good, nothing amazing but did the job. It definitely needs hot sauce to make it taste better. My latte wasn't what I was expecting. It felt like the lemon was enhancing the bitterness of the espresso. I've had lemon lattes before at other coffee shops and felt they tasted better, but it's on me for not ordering a more traditional drink. Overall it was an average experience. Nothing great but nothing bad. I'm sure I'll be coming back because this location happens to be very convenient for me. Since it only opened 2 months ago I'm sure they're still getting their feet wet and will gradually improve their service times!

Yelp
I've been to this location twice now and can't understand the poor reviews! I've had an excellent experience both times. Both times, we made reservations and both times, we got our food within 10 minutes of ordering! Our reservations were early morning on the weekends both times. It's a busy and popular brunch spot so in this case, the early bird gets the worm. On to the aesthetic of the place, it's absolutely beautiful. I love the faux greenery spread throughout the location. I think the open concept looks nicer than the St Paul location only because there is more room to walk around and the area looks bigger. The downside is that noise travels easily and tends to stay in the entire room. It was loud both times but not unbearably so. Between the two locations, I've tried many of the menu items. This specific Eagan location has a whipped ricotta egg toast which is phenomenal. So tasty and lots of flavor with the added pickled onions. Today I tried a new item - blackened cauliflower with spicy cheese Gratin and fried egg. Comes with hashbrowns which was a plus. This one was very delicious as well - so savory! Don't let the addition of vegetables fool you - it was honestly so good! My husband got the chicken and waffles which I've tried before at the St. Paul location - it was delicious, as always! My new favorite coffee that I tried was the pistachio Cardamom latte. It's sweeter than some of the other lattes I've tried from Hope and exceptionally delicious - especially if you like pistachios! Overall, 5/5 experience. Love Hope Breakfast Bar and so happy they opened up this location closer to me.

Yelp
We have been to the St. Paul location and loved it, so I was hesitant to try the suburbs version. I thought the whole thing might be a bit more blah than the cool fire station in St. Paul. But we live in Eagan so had to give it a try and I'm so glad we did! They have done a great job with the inside decor and the patio. So many plants and flowers adorn the patio that you aren't even aware you ate right by a parking lot. Haing the large garage door that connects the inside and outside open really adds to the flow. Service was great. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The thing I like most about Hope is that the food and beverage offerings are so unique! There are some breakfast standards for sure, but stretch out of your comfort zone and try something with a fresh twist! It took me a while to decide! I had the lavender vanilla latte, which was very good although a little too sweet for me. Still a fun treat! So many great coffee options. They also have alcoholic options if you're ready for that. We'll definitely give the Mimosa Board a try sometime. I ordered the breakfast tostad. Very good and very filling! Hubby had the McHope Sandwich with hashbrowns and loved it. Highly recommend. We will be back! It's best to make a reservation. This place fills up!

Yelp
My friend and I booked a reservation beforehand and was seated quickly, I def recommend getting a reservation with this place because it gets FULL! Our server was great, she took a little long but i understand because this place was PACKED. I feel though as there was more to drink than to eat. This place has your usual breakfast/brunch foods and while my food was good it was a bit heavy and greasy, not my fave.

Yelp
I had been to the St Paul location and finally had the opportunity to try the Eagan spot. I met a colleague here for a meeting on a Tue mid-morning. It was crazy busy. I did not have reservations but did manage to get a table for two after a short wait. Loved the vibe. Very green and open. Liked the patio area. Nice bright place to hang. I chose the brown sugar latte and it was delicious. Don't want to know how many calories it had - just want to enjoy it. Service was good. It was a nice experience.

Yelp
My new fav restaurant in Eagan! This is a perfect place for any small groups, but I think they would struggle with groups larger than 6. Ambiance is perfectly beautiful, decorated with a classic but modern touch. Our family of 6 had an 11:45am reservation. The place was packed, but we were seated immediately. Our sever was friendly, but also very busy. The food was FANTASTIC! All 6 of us loved our dishes, despite choosing different items from the menu. Today, I tried the biscuit and gravy. I do wish they served a little bit of sausage with the dish, but the mushrooms, eggs and crispy hash browns were enough to make up for lack of sausage. I ordered chicken and waffles from a previous visit and liked them even more than the biscuit. The caramel sea salt latte was delicious. But, it was so sweet that I couldn't finish the entire cup.

Yelp
This place is adorable. It was impressed how quickly we were seated and greeted with a reservation. They really pack people in here so sometimes it's hard to navigate, and the bathroom situation is strange. They have 2 TINY stalls, like I literally couldn't fit in them to shut the door without climbing on the toilet. They do have one accessible bathroom but I hate using that incase a wheelchair user needs to access it. The food came out so quickly I was surprised. There are prayer cards on the table and a religious undertone to some of the signage and wording but it didn't feel pushy and I'm willing to overlook that based on the food and service.

Yelp
We were excited to try this place out! Definitely lots of fun menu options! We absolutely loved the carnitas bowl, and we both really like the chicken biscuit as well. Banana bread latte was yummy. Can't wait to try some of their other delicious sounding food and drinks! Service was alright. They were really busy (which surprised us since it was a Tuesday), and we were fine waiting, but ended up waiting quite a bit longer than they estimated which was kind of a bummer. Our server was understandably busy, so we didn't mind the slower service but everytime she stopped at our table told us how busy and crazy it was which just made us feel awkward and kind of guilty for being there so it made it a bit hard to relax and enjoy our brunch. The restaurant was clean and has a nice, bright atmosphere. Prices are a bit steep on some things, they do add a 4% surcharge, and their automated tipping suggests 30% which is a bit goofy to me. When 20% is considered "above average service," recommending 30% leaves me a bit salty, especially since they also add a surcharge on the bill that they say is for employees. So it wasn't a complete knockout, but we'll be back as we enjoyed the food and the menu options!

Yelp
Overall a good place for breakfast. Food is good with lots of variety. However, every time I go there (which has been 3 or 4 times) we get terrible initial seating. When we request a different table the body language from the hostess is terrible, obviously upset that we would challenge their selection. I don't understand why they care. I guess I am the dummy for going back with that type of treatment.

Yelp
While visiting Minnesota, my sister suggested this place for a late lunch and I'm really glad she did! This is one of their three locations and I'm sure the food is as good at the other locations. The food was really amazing. I only caught pictures of my bacon tacos and my sister's breakfast sandwich. But the smoked salmon sandwich also came to the table and their Hope Breakfast. Everyone raved about how good everything tasted. The staff was great. Super attentive. Made good suggestions from the menu for us, too. The decor is very open with clean lines and shows off some of their ingredients. Aside from everything else, this place has a great philosophy behind supporting its workers, using local ingredients where possible, and giving back to the community. And there was some really cool original art on the walls, too. I can't recommend this place enough!

Yelp
I found this restaurant on Yelp. It looked really good in the pictures so my friend and I decided to try. They had just opened 3 to 4 days prior to our visit. Everything was very new and fresh. Our server was incredible. I said I'm going well. We doing good We were not disappointed. The food selection was fantastic. They had some thing for everyone. From your typical American style breakfast to sweet breakfast like their carrot cake pancakes, and Mexican inspired breakfast. I ordered the breakfast tacos, a small order of the carrot cake, pancakes and a crème brûlée latte with oat milk. My friend ordered the pimento cream cheese, egg breakfast and a banana nut latte. My tacos were phenomenal. They did not skimp on the guac and feelings , and my latte was fantastic. My banana nut latte was also really good. Although I would say her pimento cream cheese scramble left a little to be desired. I'm not sure if the cream cheese was forgotten or if it was whipped into the eggs. We didn't get a chance to ask. That being said our experience was not ruined. As we went to a different location the next day. I ended up ordering the stuffed poblano breakfast. That was amazing!!

Yelp
I am so excited they opened a Hope in Eagan! Much easier parking and wait times than St Paul. We made a reservation online, were greeted and sat immediately. Service was super fast and friendly. The decor is so cute here! Definitely an instagrammable moment. My pork belly tacos were amazing and I had leftovers. The banana bread latte was so yummy!!! Warm, comforting and tasted like the real thing. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place WOWED me in so many aspects. Came on a Monday morning around 8 am, only 1 table was occupied. The coffees were amazing where they had flavor but also still tasted like coffee (spiced brown sugar latte & butterscotch latte). The portions were HUGE. The southern fried chicken and waffles for $20 was a crazy good deal especially when the taste was amazing. Would ask for a syrup on the side so the waffle is not as dry but by itself the buttermilk flavor was great. Would recommend the grits. The gravy on the southern fried chicken and waffles worth the extra $3 compared to just the chicken and waffles!!! The pickled veggies on the deviled eggs made this dish incredible! Again QUANTITY!!! They gave me half a plate of hash browns with a deviled egg sandwich that had at least 4 eggs on it! The servers were very sweet and attentive. Thank you!!
