I'll confess, I'm not from Ft. Worth, and I didn't even know this entire part of the city existed before this visit. We were in the neighborhood to catch a show at another nearby bar, but like HopFusion, that place didn't serve food. Since we had some time, and HopFusion had a food truck parked outside, we ordered food and had a couple of beers.
From an ambiance perspective, this place is seriously cool. It's family and pet friendly, with both kids and dogs present on this Saturday evening. Another great feature is a small collection of board games that can be played at the tables while you enjoy your brews. Numerous big TVs can be tuned to your choice of sporting events as well. Seating is a mix of picnic table, chairs, and stools, both inside and on a nice patio.
We chose two beers on this evening, the Tejano Lager, with a nice dash of lime and spicy salt on the rim, and a Riesling Royale wine/ale hybrid. The former was a crisp, clean lager that still had flavor, and was thoroughly enjoyable. The latter was interesting, featuring a slight hoppy bitterness, yet the slightest sweet from the Riesling must (the wine analog for wort). It was a refreshing drink, tasting all of and maybe more than it's 6.83% ABV.
As with most breweries like this, the list rotates and features many local and far flung varieties. It's got a great vibe, and it's very friendly and accommodating. Check it out if you want to try some great beers in an environment that just feels cool and comfortable.
