Hopper Coffee Shop Review - Holborn - London - The Infatuation

"Hopper is a tiny and friendly coffee shop off the Gray’s Inn Road in Bloomsbury that’s perfect for a grab and go when you’re in the area. Don’t expect to sit down, it’s not that kind of place, but they do sell soups and sandwiches to go, as well as the usual baked stuff." - Oliver Feldman

I have been going to Hopper for several years. It used to be very busy and there was a jovial environment (pre-lockdown). I have enjoyed all my purchases. On my first visit of 2025, I was shocked to find new baristas, no loyalty card and I wasn't given a discount for using my own cup! They said they were waiting for new management to decide on things (shouldn't something like that be decided before taking over a business?).... I won't be rushing back and will try one of the newer coffee shops.

A great coffee with stunning latte art. A very friendly barista. Very reasonably priced. Would 10/10 recommend to a friend ☕️

My mom and I were Museum hopping in the great heat (not recommended for the weak) and I was googling cafés nearby as I was in desperate need of an iced latte. Not only did their coffee taste amazing, the atmosphere of this cafe is so cozy. It was a great pitstop for us and if we are in the area again, we would definitely return.

Great little coffee shop nestled off the bustling main road. Had an oat cortado, was full flavoured and well balanced. Reasonable at £2.20. Not a lot of space inside but very much grab and go. Staff were very friendly and nice, can't tell has a community atmosphere. Would definitely visit again, great overall coffee especially for the area which is lacking. Follow me on Google Maps for more coffee reviews

Espresso is great-without a doubt… they’re just not friendly staff, and at times actively unfriendly. Also, Zero Plant-Based Food Options (except nuts). With great coffee on almost every corner in London nowadays, I’d recommend elsewhere.

Awesome coffee and great people who work there. They always ask me how I’m doing and are very friendly.
