The food was excellent! Do NOT skip the fried cornbread appetizer—it’s a MUST! The house-made honey butter paired with the fried cornbread is pure genius. The flavors were incredible, and I’m obsessed with that appetizer. The Asian Chicken Salad was delicious and full of flavor, and the Hot Honey Grilled Chicken Sandwich totally hit the spot. I prefer my fries a little crispier, but they were decent. The service was great, and the ambiance was casual. They also have outdoor seating on the patio.

I had the most rip-off meal. I ordered a portobello sandwich. The sandwich came with 3 little pieces of finely chopped portobello mushrooms on each side. It’s not how portobello mushroom sandwiches are done! The whole thing is light as feather. I was also charged $3 for substitution, which the waiter didn’t even tell me. So I paid $19 for this meal that has about 1.5 little mushroom cloves in it. My husband ordered a mocktail that was served in a shot glass and topped with ice, which costs $8. Won’t be back!

I love this place. I am a creature of habit and when I find a restaurant with good food, a large selection of tap beer and amazing customer service, I rarely venture out from there. The owner (Jackie) has several businesses and she knows what she is doing. The food offerings are the basic pub fair to the complex and the cooks/chefs they have are top notch. Nothing is bad here. They have $1 wings during football (perfectly cooked, many flavors and are large) and $5 smash burger plates on Tuesday. There is a brunch on Sundays where you can get all your breakfast flavors. The people working there…..Mel, Natalie and Shane and others are the sweetest people. I had only gone there once and when a server named Mel saw me the next time she addressed me by name and without me asking brought the beer she remembered I liked. Where do you get service like this these days? No where! I highly recommend this establishment.

Love going for their $5 burger Tuesday deal. The burgers are well seasoned and cooked to perfection. 😋 The staff are always friendly and fast. Would like to go on their Music Bingo nights soon!

Stopped by for a quick bite and enjoyed an awesome old fashioned and a delicious steak sandwich with fries. We were visiting friends and exploring - I had some time and needed to grab a bite. I’d been here in the past - and it’s always been solid. I highly recommend this local eatery to locals and visitors!!

Came in for dinner with friends and was shocked to see the bartender and at least one server openly drinking alcohol during their shift. This wasn't just a quick taste-test - they were having full drinks while serving customers. The food was okay, but watching staff get progressively more intoxicated throughout the evening was extremely uncomfortable. Other diners noticed too. This is basic restaurant professionalism 101. Won't be returning.

Had a great time out on the patio, it was a bit hot and we asked for the fans to be turned on a couple of times and when we did the misters made it feel like we were in The Rainforest Cafè, we didn’t know that was going to happen so it took us by surprise! We laughed it off and covered our plates when the fan would throw a bunch of mist our way. Other than that, the food is FANTASTIC, but they never filled up our water cups and like I said it was pretty warm outside and we were there for about 2 hours. We will definitely be back and would still recommend to friends and family. Gorgeous area and friendly staff.

The food was delicious and unique. The waiter was unsure of gluten free options so he brought the owner to help us navigate what would be allergy friendly. They were very helpful and accommodating. Would eat here again.

Great service. Like meeting up here with my friend and her husband. We come Wednesday night for their trivia. Food has always been really great. Like their cocktails. Patio is very large. We normally play trivia outside, but I guess with the humidity we had, they decided to do it inside. Great time, great food, great service

I love Hops and Thyme! The food is delicious, the service is great and it's in a cute shopping area. I've had the beet and burrata salad twice and love it, the wings are probably the best I've had in the Austin area. The wagu burger is spectacular! We keep meaning to go back on a Tuesday when it's only $5! (Seriously that's an insane deal). If you're a beer lover this is your place! The entire wall is nothing but beer on tap! If you have a taste for something I would be willing to bet they have it!

Still thriving! Very happy to have H&T in the Lake Travis area. Still a great space, nice beer selection, lovely patio (live music occasionally). Service has improved over the years. On my most recent visits, the staff has been new highers. Very cordial and eager to learn. :D The menu has expanded over time. Their bar bites...wings, pretzels, burgers, crispy brussel sprouts, etc...are always spot on. When they try to execute more elevated dishes, they can be a tad disappointing (esp for the $$). So go for the brew, apps, atmosphere, and hopefully some tunes. My personal suggestion anyway. Cheers!

Cramming snitzel I decided I wanted to eat at this restaurant with a friend. So we decided to sit at a comfortable table and we started ordering drinks which I asked if they had mimosas and they said yes, indeed we do! So after ordering the drinks we ordered the 12 piece chicken wings which were absolutely delicious. So we asked for another round of drinks and we checked out the menu ....my friend ordered the fish salmon and I ordered the schnitzel which is German food ....it was delicious once again. The pros are it's easy to park and the cons are The outdoor tables were not very clean. Other than that I love being a regular hair cause I just enjoy the food and nice people and staff is pretty wonderful. I highly recommend this location and recommend the German snitzel and chicken wings.

Such a bummer. This place used to be so much better. We were the only ones in around lunch time and now I know why. Food is subpar at best and the wait staff is more interested in ponying up at the bar talking with each other and vaping than checking in on guests. I would maybe deal with it if the food was fantastic but it's disgusting. This place used to be so much better! Won't be going back :(

Go on Tuesday for half price burgers. Get a wine or beer and a side. Great combinations!

Food was not great. Fries were so overly seasoned that I couldn't eat them. But the worst part was the fruit flies everywhere. I suspect the beer drains are filthy and the kitchen probably isn't much better. Avoid.

Interesting experience tonight: Crusty young bartender is not here, always a toss up on how much vaping she has done and what level of service you receive, a smile or frown, but today a new bartender, with all the bar skill, and an even keel attitude that makes you want to come back. The dry rub wings are always the best and caprese salad cools off the spice! Unfortunately, the bartender has been trained by the young crusty bartender who could never understand eye contact matters, small talk matters while a customer calculates their tip, and how a sour experience reduces their tip. But I have hope the new bartender will learn from the other's trial and tribulations. Good service matters.

Food A+ -- We had fried pickles for appetizers. Lemonade and Orange Fanta to drink. Husband got roast beef. I got half Italian, half house salad with balsamic. Delicious! Service A+ -- Server was so friendly and accomodating. Ambiance A+ -- Good music, lots of seating typesand choices.

We walked in here to grab a cocktail and appetizer before a Gala and it was a great atmosphere with the Brussel sprouts were great. They had live music which was a plus, but we were one of the first high top tables and it was quite loud. I would recommend sitting further back :) Definitely going back though!

I've enjoyed Hops & Thyme in the past. It's a great, unpretentious place to watch a football game, eat wings, and drink beer. The cocktails are nice. Big outdoor patio, and great location. This weekend we took a friend here for lunch and while the service was attentive and the atmosphere just fine, the food was universally off. I ordered the grilled caesar salad with added fried chicken. The greens were a bit wilty, the pretzel croutons well beyond stale, and the chicken hard to get down -- chewy and rubbery, as if it had been freezer burned and someone just said to fire it up anyway. My wife's Asian chicken salad was lackluster, with the chicken (not fried) having a more spongy, equally off texture... again, quite concerning her that it was, at best, merely old. I'm happy to go back to H&T for another meal sometime -- and some beers -- but I'll be sticking with the brats, wings, and fries on the next visit. Can't write enough about the great, friendly service, though.

Service was fine The food is terrible. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and I think they fried it for half a day. You can tell by the color of the chicken in the sandwich that they over fried it but didn't care and served it anyway. That's very disappointing. The chicken wings that were served were again over fried and inedible. In general, the chefs are not preparing food well. The servers are great though.

Food, service, bar, cocktails and bourbon selection as well as live music all recommend Hops and Thyme!

Do NOT eat here. New management hasn't helped. The kitchen should be embarrassed by letting out this product. Brown. wilted lettuce, swimming in a pool of what was suppose to be a Caesar dressing. What's more when I called to complain to request a refund the hostess assured us she would take care of it. However, not 5 minutes later the manager called and said they couldn't refund the price of the meal. She stated that I needed to go through the delivery service. I responded that I used the service represented on their website and further they had "prepared" the food. To which she responded that she was sorry but I would have to take it up with the delivery service. I won't return and would urge anyone to avoid this "restaurant."

First time here. I said to my husband this place would be great for "Bar Rescue" with Jon Taffer. There was a staffer at the back table vaping. During the course of our meal about 4-5 people took shots behind the bar. I believe the AC was out, which is horrible in the summer in Texas. I ordered a caesar salad and like many reviews it was half of a wilted romaine and rubbery chicken. The worst salad I've ever had. When I told the waitress about it she nicely said she could swap it out. Because the kitchen is in the restaurant and my chair was facing it, I could see as she took it back that about 8 staffers all turned to look at me at the same time making me extremely uncomfortable. Finally, the card reader was programmed to leave a 30% tip when we paid the bill. All these issues have left me with the decision not to revisit this establishment.

Big shout out to Kelsey. Although we had some issues with door dash today;; but at Hops and Thyme, we had a rockstar. Thanks so much and congrats on such a great employee.

I enjoyed this place! The outdoor patio was really nice despite it being so windy outside. The food was also very good including the fries. The BLT sandwich was delicious but not spicy. I enjoyed the cocktails and my friend really liked this place too. I will return

the 1 star reviews are CRAZY and I feel like they don't know what they're talkin' about. We came here for brunch and although it was a little busy we were seated super fast and given waters 2 seconds later. We ordered the Steak & Eggs and the BLT. Our food took about 6-8 minutes and everything was so good! We came in with a 5 month old baby and the timing on everything from greeting to getting our order was perfect. Super nice staff, super fun vibe, idk where these other yelpers went but we had a great time :-)

Unbelievable the owner/manager vapes during working hours!! Service stinks! Owner turned closed sign on us 50min prior to closing time as we walked in!

I only had the brussel sprouts which were really good. They have many other appetizers along with entries that sounded great! The drinks were pretty good but a bit on the pricey side. Anywhere from $11-13 for one cocktail. They have indoor dining and outdoor patio which you can choose from. They also had a performer singing for a couple hours when I was there (Friday night) and was very enjoyable. The service was great! I had someone checking up on me every now and then and food and drinks came out fairly quick!

This was my first visit. They have a really nice patio where we could enjoy the sunset with social distancing. Service was excellent. They have a very complete beer list which included a local breweries. I had a burger which was good, but not exceptional. We had a really good time and we plan to come back.

This place might be alright if all you want is to come sit on the patio on a nice night and have a drink, but the food is not good. Before ordering I asked our waitress about several items on the menu and she shrugged and said "it's okay" or "it's not my favorite" about several things. Additionally, they had loud music on the patio that was super inappropriate for children - using the f word multiple times and other bad language. We were there with our child before 6pm, so that didn't seem appropriate for a restaurant. All that said, we will not be returning.

By far the best food in Lakeway, Bee Caves, Austin. The Burgers are insane, they have steak and fish as well. Best Crab stuffed Avocado ever! Great service, great time. Big Dan is a Big Fan!

This place is gone through various owners, but the set up currently is great. The schnitzel is a must try and the burgers are great. Didn't try and of there drinks but enjoyed the wine. It has plenty of outdoor seating as well!

New Owners! Great food, salmon, chicken, best smash burgers in the city! Fun attentive staff, owners, and atmosphere. Live music at least 3 days a week. Great deck for outdoor seating. Highly recommend as a great time.

You can bring your dogs and sit outside in comfort. Water misting system is great! Food is solid.

Have been here 3 times and one of the best restaurants around. Great food, fast/friendly service, cool atmosphere and vibe.

With so few options available in the area, I really want this place to survive. Unfortunately with the new menu, its not great. I understand wanting to streamline and simplify, but its not working. No one wants apples with their sausage. Given there are zero sports bars in the area, I would try that route. Work on putting out some really good bar food, add some TVs, cheer up the waitstaff and work on creating a more inviting environment that people will spend multiple hours in. Clean up the play area off the back deck and the families, sports teams, etc would flood in.

The best atmosphere for adults and kids! Loved enjoying a nice beer with my wife while the kids played on the large outdoor patio. The owner, Andrew, is as kind as can be and the food is amazing! New management has done an excellent job.

Will have to say I'm sad to leave this review. I LOVE the ambiance! They have a great outdoor patio! Could have an awesome outdoor bar too... service is horrible!! Food comes out late, and wrong... sometimes cold. Wish they could fix that because it's a really Cool spot. I've been there 4 times and each time, The food and service were the same. :(

What an Amazing Place !! My husband and I dropped in for dinner after seeing 'Top Gun, Maverick' (Great Movie BTW) and had a Wonderful 'Thyme' !! The resturant has Outside Dining and Plenty of room for large parties. We were lucky to be entertained by Live Music while we enjoyed our meal and a Great Bottle of Wine. Our waiter, Shea, was very attentive and assisted with our every need. We were full from our Delicious Meals (fish and chips (the Best Cod!) and Fish tacos (delicious Mahi Mahi) but just had to try their Crème Brûlée Cheescake ! OMG we're so glad we did ! I've never tasted something so Extraordinary and Delicious. This resturant has an Amazing Chef with a Unique Spin on cooking and presentation. The owner, which we were honored to meet, is friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the Restaurant Business. We are all so Lucky to have such a Great Place here in Lakeway. You have to drop in and enjoy their food, wine, dessert or their Huge Selection of Ale's and Beers !

Same manager and wait staff with sour attitude as with previous owners that were tanking it. They are just repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome. There are plenty of better options nearby.

I really liked this place. We came here around 4pm on a weekday and it was pretty empty. Since it was a lovely Spring Day we opted to eat outside. We ordered the brussels sprouts and the cornbread bites to split - I gotta admit - I was not thrilled with the cornbread bites decision - BUT, they were mighty might fine and I would get them every single time. My man and I split the Asian chopped salad (fine) and the pasta carbonara (also fine - but not "authentic"). I wish had taken the local gal's recommendation of the black rice dish and added an egg, I had a taste and it was not only unique but delicious. Warning - the bathrooms are FREEZING cold - probably A/C'd to 55 degrees.

The new owner is doing a great job! The menu has expanded and there are special menu items each week. Thanks for bringing back our local bar & eatery!

We were looking for a lunch place with patio open close by and this came up. We went there and we're amazed to see how big is their patio. Plus it was very nice and clean which is a plus. We were greeted nicely and made to sit at their patio table in next few minutes. Our server was very good as the water came out fast and after placing drinks order it came out quick too. For food we ordered brussel sprouts and fried cornbread as appetizers. Brussel sprouts were usual but corn break was too sweet than usual. Than we had aglio Olio pasta without chicken and it came out okay. Though I liked their chicken pesto club. All in all, it's a nice place to have drinks with big outdoor patio, good service and decent food.

Went for lunch mid week. Walked in to bartender on a rant about something and cursing. More employees than customers. Took over an hour to get in and out for lunch and only table in there. Spill of unidentified smelly liquid on the floor that never got cleaned up. Employees sitting at counter on electronics. Food was mediocre. I understand this is new owner and working out the kinks, but just not an inviting atmosphere.

I've been eyeing this place for well over a year and finally had the opportunity to visit. It's a solid 4 1/2 stars. I'm surprised by the low rated reviews, as we didn't experience anything negative. I met a friend for a Saturday afternoon. We walked in and immediately noticed that the place was essentially bare. There was a single table of six enjoying lunch and a party of two at the bar, so seating wasn't an issue. We opted for the bar, which gave us the ability to scan the drink options. The inventory of whiskey, was decently sized and very impressive from a selection basis. As a bar with food, the menu includes some very interesting choices. However, I was leaning more toward a burger and their 44 Farms Cheeseburger was calling my name. The kitchen is up front and personal. The guys slinging the food, definitely know what they're doing. I ordered mine medium rare and that it was. As we relaxed, we did notice the large outdoor patio. If it wasn't so cold and dreary, we definitely would have camped outside. Great experience and good food.

We rented out the outside patio for a private company event. The private rental price was reasonable, the patio is beautiful, the food/drinks were great, and the staff is AMAZING!! Andrew was great in getting everything set up and Jen, our server, was so friendly!!! I had hired a separate team building company to come in and facilitate the evening. That company bailed on me 45 mins prior to the start time. I called Hops and Thyme and told them of the change of plans and when we showed up, the staff had printed off of team building games just in case we needed them. They went above and beyond!!!

My wife and I met our wonderful friends at Hops last evening. What a refreshing change that the new ownership has made! We had beautiful food and excellent service.

Great environment, taste food and delicious beer. Really friendly staff is an addition to the delicious food and vast options of beer, drinks and wine. The outdoor area is cosy with a great view. Also perfect to bring your dog to enjoy a brunch on the side of your best friend.

Well, we visited this restaurant for the first time. Upon entering, they had wonderful entertainment, but her mic was way too loud. I could not hear the mate'rd so op-ed to eat outdoors. By first glance, the cushion covers at some of the tables were busting open with stuffing exposed. It took staff a bit to clean the table while we were standing in the dining section. When we sat down, and the weathered cushions scratched the back of our legs. The staff were incredibly nice but there was a long wait for even the food. My children ordered lemonades and I had a passion fruit/pineapple margarita and both were watered down. We also had nachos and wings as appetizers. Both were something my kids could pull together in the kitchen The flavoring of the dry rub wings was off for me. The presentation and taste of the nachos were mediocre. There were not enough fans going to cool things off and to keep the bugs away.There was a contraption on the table I think to keep bugs away but was broken. We decided to leave and did not opt for dinner. The bill was $75 and left a $20 tip. I found the bill high for the level of food and atmosphere. My experience was extremely disappointing and will never return. I love to support local restaurants, unfortunately this one has a lot of work to be done. Probably the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The food felt like something I would be happy with at a baseball or football concession stand,

Meh. Went for brunch and was underwhelmed by the menu. Very basic offerings. Also wife is obviously pregnant and waitress was pushing mimosas and drinks. Not a huge deal but kind of weird. Got the breakfast club sandwich. One bread had burnt edges the other under toasted. Hot as heck outside and no lemonade or "refreshing" options. Again nothing concerning just off. Wife got the "egg plate". Self explanatory. Not sure what I was expecting but wish I just went to Waffle House..

3rd time was not a charm. Instead of Hope and Thyme, more like Waste of Tyme. Was there on a Thursday night. Musician who was truly awful playing his music too loud. They tried to seat us at a table that had yet to be cleaned. Then we waited 5 mins for anyone to come by the table once we were seated. Despite placing our orders right away, we learned 30 mins in that there were still 10+ dinners ahead of us and it would be more time. Best thing of the night was the waitress offering to cancel our order and close out our tab with our drinks only. Our previous visits were OK but never lived up to any of the reviews we've read.

Very nice and lay back restaurant great service order the crab stuff avocado and some drink's they were absolutely amazing food was great as well. Overall great experience they were consistent with the taste of the drinks and food!!
