I'm always looking for the most authentic food available, Hopsing's definitely did not disappoint, their hot and sour soup was fresh, chopped and piping hot! Flavors were authentic to growing up by China Town in my youth! The egg rolls had a cinnamon/ hot mustered flavor with a crisp outer Wong Tong shell, old school flavors in every bite, can't wait to try additional culinary dishes... Yummy,⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s been a few years since I’ve eaten here so since I was nearby, I wanted to give them a shot. At my favorite Chinese take out (China Express) I get my usual potstickers as lunch which are generous and more than filling. I wanted to try theirs and on their online ordering it states they are fried potstickers (usually meaning pan fried and steamed) so I ordered them at Hopsings. I also ordered a side of fried rice. The lady handed me my bag and I was shocked at how small it was. When I got home I couldn’t believe how disappointing this $8+ order was. The dumplings were totally deep fried and all of them fit in the palm of my hand. The rice was flavorless. At most Chinese places you can get an entire meal for lunch for that price that includes an entree, rice, soup, and egg roll. Complete rip off and I am still hungry.

And to think that I had Panda Express last night. I've had so much more vegetables in this and mushrooms and that yummy corn the chicken is melting in your mouth. Seriously. The most tender steamed chicken I've ever had. not like the cold serving from Panda Express for some reason everything is cold there when I get it. This is so hot! I got steamed vegetables and they still poured this thick delicious broth on top of the whole thing. Where do you want to spend your next $11 you decide.

Stopped by to grab some carry out for dinner. The drive through loops around the building in a big sweeping turn, it's convient. Menu is easily legible and I was helped immediately when I pulled up to it. I ordered general Tsos chicken, fried rice side and yum yum sauce. Total was $12. Food was good, general Tsos chicken could have been crisper though, was a touch soggy. Fried rice was delicious and their yum yum sauce is fantastic and sweet. Like to stop here from time to time and try something different.

Google
One of the best Chinese/Japanese places in ft Wayne and very overlooked if you ask me. Absolutely delicious food and worthy portions for the cost. Drive thru only but don't let that fool you. I would say this food is on par with the finer Chinese restaurants in ft Wayne. If you haven't tried this place do yourself the favor

Google
Good quality food!! Beef teriyaki hibachi was really good... Fast service!... This is a drive-thru Only Chinese Japanese food, just in case anybody wonders..

Google
I found a shaving of metal in my meal that got caught in my throat. Super dangerous honestly! The food was great and the value is good, so if it wasn’t for almost dying it would have been 5 stars. If the owner is reading this- please find out where this came from and make sure it can’t happen again. I will be back and will keep giving it a chance, I just don’t want to be afraid of choking on sharp metal.

Google
Everything I ordered was delicious! Egg rolls, soup, teriyaki chicken with rice. Great little place with great food.

Yelp
Go for the Sesame Chicken but don't sleep on the delicious hot & sour soup, a wonderfully seasoned chicken based soup!

Yelp
Food is typical Chinese and is reasonably priced. Service is OK but there wasn't any other cars in the drive thru at 6:15 on a Friday evening. Where they really drop the ball is on packaging the meals. They leaked all over and made the soy sauce and sweet & sour sauce unusable. Our experience makes us want to look for alternatives in the future.

Yelp
This is by far THE worst, and I mean THE worst Asian food we have ever had. Never again. Do not be deceived into ordering here. We had four entrees, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon. Every bit of it was tasteless with tough dried out meat. We will make the drive to Q House going forward.

Yelp
I needed hot & sour soup to open up my sinuses from having a sinus infection & used DoorDash. This is what arrived. This soup is neither hot OR sour. Neither!!! It is TONS OF BLACK PEPPER which is overwhelming. It tastes like beef base & has lots of weird unidentifiable floaties in it. Nothing like I expected. To the trash it goes.

Yelp
I love the flavor of oil they use for cooking. The seasons that add to my chicken fried rice are on point. Portions could be bigger though.

Yelp
Teriyaki beef is the best! Ginger sauce is perfect! Service was great! Thank you and keep it up

Yelp
I used to live this place. About two years ago I found a metal ring (like off a bulk bag of rice) in my food and almost broke a tooth. I decided today to try it again. I was in a hurry and it was convenient. AGAIN I found something in my food (see the picture). I won't be back. Too bad because the employees are nice and I try to support local businesses.

Mary H.

Yelp
I just love going there. Quite a variety of menu items and all are good. Service is quick, pleasant and cost effective. Portions are generous, enough for 2 meals.

Travis M.

Yelp
First off the food is always very good. However whenever the gentleman is working at the window he absolutely refuses to give me the amount of soy sauce I ask for. I've given him chances time and time again. When any of the ladies are working the window it's never been a problem. Such a shame that they're going to loose a customer over a few cents worth of soy sauce. I litterally only ask for 8 packets of soy sauce. Again such a shame, but I'm finished giving them chances.

Yelp
Use to be my very favorite place for Chinese. Got it today. Not so much. I was very disappointed. Chicken fried rice was dry and tasted like white rice and pieces of chicken. Not good. 30 years ago use to stop all the time. Wanted it to be the same!

Bobby S.

Yelp
Shrimp Lo Mein has little to no flavor. I had to add yum yum sauce just to make it taste good. Vegetables were still crunchy and not cooked all the way. Crab ragoons just taste like cream cheese no additional flavor to them. I give it 2 stars due to it still being edible.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
This place has the best hot and sour soup in town! I like the crab Rangoon too although It's irritating when I ask for sauce and they tell me it's in there but when I get home I open the bag to find no sauce!!!

Yelp
A favorite for lunch. Always good fresh food. My favorite is the cashew chicken. But also love all the choices I have tried . Great fast service, and reasonable prices.

Yelp
Hopsing's is a great little place to grab a quick lunch. My favorite here is the hibachi shrimp! Love the zucchini, mushrooms and onions that come with it. Love the ginger sauce. I recently tried the special fried rice (chicken, pork and shrimp), it was fine, would've liked it better just with the shrimp though. Fried wontons, chicken wings and egg rolls are good too. The wonton soup is bland, but in the winter hits the spot with a little salt and pepper added to it.

Yelp
Omg yum. We really did not expect much from this place. In fact, I've driven past it for years. I'm SO glad we finally stopped. They were quick, friendly, have reasonable prices, and the food was pretty darn good. We're new fans.
google avatar

Tricia M.

Yelp
Always friendly, Always hot and always right. Do yourself a favor and try the Yum Yum sauce. Super happy they're open on Mondays! Been coming here for at least 20 years.

Jesse C.

Yelp
Food is very good, service is fast, employees are polite and confirm your order at the window before you pay. Prices are solid as well. If you're craving chinese/Japanese food it's worth checking this small spot out

Yelp
My mind is completely blown by the fact that this restaurant has so many positive reviews. My fried rice was dry and flavorless. The hot and sour soup had chunks of clotted gelatin. My husband didn't like his food either. We threw 90% of it in the trash. Panda Express has better Chinese.

Yelp
Hopsings is a no frill Chinese/Japanese fast food spot. Upside is that it is drive thru and there aren't other places like this (serving drive thru Japanese) in Ft. Wayne. Downside is that it's not quite as good nor do you receive as much food as at most of the eat-in Japanese restaurants around. Ordered the Hibachi Chicken. It was fresh. Hot. Chicken was moist and plentiful. Veggies and rice a bit sparse but it's good that I wanted more. I ordered extra ginger sauce (a must have) and this was all for $8. Would I return? Sure! Overall, great value.

Nechaqway F.

Yelp
This was the worst Chinese food I've had. I had the orange chicken, white rice, and fried cheese wontons, the wontons was over fried, orange chicken was hard, the rice was good but very small portion. They are stingy with their sauce so before you leave make sure you get the sauce that suppose to come with certain food like the wontons suppose to come with red sauce. I ask for it and she assure me it was in the bag and it's my fault, but got gone and it was not their. So overall disappointing.

Yelp
I love this place. Don't let the building exterior drawl you away from some of the best Chinese food you'll ever have. Definitely best Chinese food in town!

Yelp
We used to go there a lot. The food has gotten worse as time gone by. I bought the special fried rice for my husband's dinner last week and it was bland he said. The meat that was in it was not seasoned. We expected not to put anything in it for seasoning, but husband had to add soy sauce for any flavor at all. It got more expensive and flavor and portion sizes are not as good. Won't be back in a while.

Jake P.

Yelp
The last few times I have gone there the Sesame chicken is either tough to chew or cold, I even once ordered and then realized I forgot my wallet and they still served me the same food and it was cold and it took me 20 minutes to go home and get it and come back! The quality is just not as it was anymore!
google avatar

Zachery J.

Yelp
The quality of food was fine, but I feel as though for the cost, they should give you a little bit more food. The quality just wasn't quite up to par for the cost in my honest opinion. I'm definitely going to go back and give 'er another shot though.

Diane P.

Yelp
My husband is going on his 16th hour of food poisoning after eating bad breaded chicken in the General T. Extreme vomiting and diarrhea!! After enjoying the food here every 2-3 weeks we wont be back for some time!!
google avatar

Josh M.

Yelp
I can seriously say that if I had one place to eat for the rest of my life it would be hopsings! I always get the same thing for years. Chicken fried rice, egg drop soup, and egg rolls. The egg rolls are phenomenal. It could eat multiple amounts of them as a snack. Don't forget the ginger sauce to dip them in.

Yelp
Hopsing's is a pretty average Chinese fast food place with slightly above average prices. There are better choices in the area.
google avatar

Jesse B.

Yelp
Hopsing's is a great little place to grab food on the go. Their hibachi shrimp is very tasty. I wouldn't say it's authentic or amazing, but worth checking out if you are in the are and looking for something quick.
google avatar

Yelp
Good little drive through place, reasonable prices, beats the other area fast food. Both vegetable dishes are good stir frys and the egg rolls are about what you'd expect from any restaurant.

VR R.

Yelp
Just had their vegetable fried noodles and they were great. Decent prices and fast. Looking forward to next visit.

Amanda F.

Yelp
Decent food, good price, decent amounts. Drive Thru service, which is convenient, especially when you're on your way home after a long day and don't want to drag kids in and out of a restaurant.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
"Been there twice now and one word leaps to mind BLAND. Have had two totally different meals and lacked flavor each time.

Joe D.

Yelp
Love this drive up Chinese food. I will stop in on the way home to pickup dinner. The food is prepare while you wait which I have never had to wait very long about 5-10 minutes. The egg rolls are a must get! The people at the window are always polite and prices are reasonable.

Lynn R.

Yelp
My daughter heard about this place and wanted to give it a try. We went there on Thursday and we split the Garlic Chicken and Crab Rangoon. She also had the hot and sour soup. Food was hot and very good. We will drive thru there again!

Jesse K.

Yelp
Possibly the best chinese takeout food in town. You get a lot for the price and it's always delicious. Recommended to anyone who passing by the area. Also take advantage of waiter on the way.

Rachel T.

Yelp
Love this place!! They recently changed their crab Rangoon, however, and they need to change back.
