Yelp
Doylestown definitely needed an upscale,
Craft cocktail bar like this, however I had an absolutely horrible experience. The drinks were delicious however when I visited the Friday after Thanksgiving while catching up with friends for the holiday, I gave our waiter my credit card for our bill right away (did not even look at the receipt, but put my credit card in the book and handed it right back) and then my credit card disappeared. I had to approach him as to why my card was not processed and he proceeded to ask if I was "sure I gave him the card." Not wanting to make my friends stand around, they all went to a restaurant next door while I waiting for almost 35-40 minutes while the bartender periodically looked for my card and the manager went to the basement to check security footage. To try to make a very long story shorter, they must have found my card because without telling me, I got a notification on my phone that my card was processed. Not only did the manager never personally address me throughout the whole situation, but I was horrified that was card was charged without first telling me it was recovered. I told them I felt like I should not be charged, and the bartender agreed and after checking, said he got approval to void the transaction. 4 days later nothing happened AND coincidentally my card was shut off for fraudulent activity so I called the manager to inquire. I heard back about 24 hours later and she explained she had to see if she could still void the charge even though the card was turned off, or if I had to provide an updated card for the refund. That was last Thursday....
I work in a customer based industry and am completely understanding of human error and know mistakes happen, however a business can be judged on how it handles a customers negative experience and their ability to make up for that, and I'm not impressed.
